Comment worth noting: Looks like the feds have been getting ready for the ‘Dreamers’ for several years….

….by funding citizenship and training services.  You will recognize some of the usual suspects, not just getting grants from the Office of Refugee Resettlement but also from Homeland Security which makes finding all of their federal bucks more complicated.

This is from reader ‘Julia’ who found this list of grantees for “Citizenship and Training”at USA Spending.gov.  For a little summer Saturday fun, check out the over $30 million that has been expended so far through quasi-non-profit groups (I hope someone is monitoring how all this taxpayer money is being spent!).

Julia especially noted the DACA grants. By the way, just this week the HuffPo reported on how many Dreamers have signed up and how it’s going, here.

Signing up the kids!

Julia:

Below is a list of organizations that received funding for Citizenship and Training programs from the Department of Homeland Security.  Funding for these programs began in FY 2010.  Most of the organizations provide other services to the immigrant population.  Note the organizations that provide assistance with DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).  Also, note the organizations that coordinate their efforts with other organizations.  Website information for the organizations is still being completed and will be updated.

It seems that if DACA is expanded through executive order, there is already a network of organizations in place to facilitate the DACA application process.  Please note that this list is not a compilation of all organizations that provide assistance with DACA.

One of the first on the list to sign up new citizens (and be sure to check out the $$$ going to the Colorado African Organization):

US State Dept. contractor resettles first Syrian Sunni Muslims to Georgia

Are you ready for the Syrian surge into America?

Update August 11th:  Expect big surge of Syrians next year, here.

Update!  Come to think of it, why not send all the Syrians to Vermont!  They definitely welcome refugees and illegal aliens there!

We know there are some Syrians (probably thousands) here already through other legal/illegal means (specifically Temporary Protected Status), but this is the first news account I am seeing of what is expected to be the big wave of mostly Muslim Syrians the refugee resettlement contractors have been begging to resettle to your towns and cities.

By the way, the contractors were begging and haranguing in the media (they never directly harangued Obama, as they had George Bush over Iraqis) for months in the spring (we posted on it —Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society wants 75,000 Syrian Muslims to come to US) and then they mysteriously shut up.

I’ve been wondering why the Syrian resettlement was taking so long—-probably great wrangling behind the scenes about security screening.

But, it also occurred to me that since the Obama Administration and the contractors knew in advance about the coming southern border surge of “children,” maybe they held back the Syrians for a few months.  Why they would do that I don’t know, but the result will be that the American public gets a one-two punch on immigration.

Here they come!  From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Ahmed — a Sunni Muslim who asked that his full name not be used to protect his remaining relatives in Syria — said he fled to Jordan in 2012 after militiamen aligned with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad wrongfully accused him of attacking them. [So he says—-ed]

Ahmed, his wife and three young children arrived in Atlanta last weekend, the first Syrian refugees to resettle in Georgia since the uprising against the Assad regime began more than three years ago. He spoke about his family’s odyssey Wednesday through an Arabic interpreter at the Atlanta office of the International Rescue Committee, which is helping his family resettle in Clarkston. [Long time readers will recognize”welcoming”  Clarkston as a mecca of vibrant multicultural diversity—ed]

We have told you previously that the contractors*** have been lobbying for 12,000-15,000 Syrians this year.  The fiscal year ends on September 30th, so we may see a flood of Syrians in the next seven weeks (following on the heels of the great wave of “children” invading the border).

Even in normal years, the State Department and the contractors dump tons of refugees on communities in the closing weeks of the fiscal year so they can get their quota in for the year.  It makes it very difficult for “welcoming” towns because the rush in the health departments and the beginning of the school year come together in that very brief period later in August and early September.

Don’t forget!  The UN picks our refugees!

The Journal-Constitution continues:

The International Rescue Committee has been calling on the federal government to welcome 12,000 Syrian refugees this year, plus 3,000 more next year. Only about 100 had been resettled in the U.S. as of February. But the Obama administration is expecting to begin receiving thousands of referrals from the United Nations this year to resettle Syrians in the U.S. Most are expected to begin arriving during the next two years.

The federal government provides refugees with funding that partially covers the cost of rent, furniture, food and clothing. Private contributions supplement that funding. Refugees may work in the U.S. And they are required to apply for permanent residency after a year and are eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship after five years.

Ahmed says he is looking for an Arabic community in the US in which to blend into.  More here…..

We recently told you about the IRC expanding its operation in Georgia, here.  For our many new readers, the IRC is headed by far Left former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Georgia has developed “pockets of resistance” to more refugee resettlement and the Governor has asked the State Dept. to slow the flow to the state, so I see this as the Obama Administration and the contractors basically saying s**** you Georgia!  See a ‘pocket of resistance in the land of Jimmy Carter.’

Baltimore: “Sponsor” allegedly sexually abused ‘unaccompanied child’

You know this is just the beginning!

Tennessee state police photo. Would you turn a 16-year-old girl over to this guy? The feds did! http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2014-08-04/news/bs-md-co-minor-smuggle-charge-20140804_1_court-documents-honduras-teenage-girl

A 42-year-old illegal alien promised the Office of Refugee Resettlement (in Health and Human Services) that he would provide a separate bedroom for a 16-year old girl not related to him—AND THEY BELIEVED HIM!

These people live in la-la land and surely we will see many more such cases of abuse as the Obama border surge continues.

From the Daily Caller (emphasis is mine):

A 42-year-old illegal immigrant from Honduras who was awarded custody of an unrelated 16-year-old Honduran girl has been accused of sexual abuse and of smuggling her into the U.S.

Pedro Lara Portillo is charged with alien smuggling and encouraging an alien to illegally enter the country, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Lara, who told authorities he has been in the U.S. illegally for seven years, also lied to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement when he said that he and the girl would have separate rooms while she lived with him, according to federal court documents.

The girl came to the U.S. in late March and spent a month in the custody of HHS, which turned her over to Lara’s care.

The agency is in charge of finding housing for the tens of thousands of unaccompanied children apprehended at the U.S. border while they await deportation proceedings to commence.

The girl told Baltimore County police in early June that she had been smuggled into the country, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Lara and the girl’s mother coordinated the plan to smuggle her from Honduras through Mexico, and the teen eventually entered the U.S. through Texas.

“Lara admitted in sum and substance that he wired money to Mexico for the purpose of having [the girl] smuggled to the United States,” Department of Homeland Security special agent Edward J. Kelly wrote in the charging documents.

According to the federal documents, Lara and the girl did not have separate rooms, contrary to assurances he made in the custody arrangement with HHS.

The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately arrest Lara after they interviewed him, though he was eventually apprehended in Tennessee.

There is more, keep reading.

Could Hillary’s special Libyan refugee be deported?

Just a reminder before I tell you about a refugee Hillary helped get to America and who is now in custody in Colorado, it was Hillary and her gal pals (I called them the three witches), Samantha Power and Susan Rice, who in their zeal to prove the theory of the “responsibility to protect” (and Power was bored with doing rinkey-dink do-gooder stuff  for Iraqi Christians) nagged Obama to join the European clamor for the ouster of Libyan strongman Col. Moammar Gadhafi (spelling varies).

Look where we are now—Libya has turned into a terrorist stronghold, our US Ambassador and three other Americans are dead, and Libya has become the primary launching pad for the invasion of Europe (see all of our posts on the migrant invasion, by clicking here).

In two years Obama will be out of the picture, but the three “humanitarian Vulcans” will still be around.

Hillary’s special Libyan “refugee!”

Al-Obeidi (a lawyer!) who received international attention when she charged that Gadhafi’s men raped her.

A Libyan woman, helped by Hillary to get refugee status in the US (at the point where Hillary and her gals were making their case against Gadhafi), has racked-up crimes in Colorado and could be deported reports a Boulder, CO  newspaper.

The Libyan government said she was mentally ill.  Were they right?

Imagine what this woman is costing taxpayers of Colorado for all of her criminal problems.

Excellent reporting from the Boulder Daily Camera (Hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’):

In 2011, Iman al-Obeidi became the international face of defiance against Moammar Gadhafi’s regime in Libya after she claimed she’d been brutally raped by more than a dozen of the dictator’s men.

Three years later, as a political refugee living in Boulder, al-Obeidi is “destitute,” according to her attorneys, and has been arrested three times. On probation already in an assault on a police officer, she faces trial this fall in a second assault case — which could jeopardize her ability to stay in the U.S.

Al-Obeidi, now 32, became the center of a media frenzy after she stormed into a hotel room in Tripoli and told the international press there that she was raped after being detained at a security checkpoint. In turn, the Libyan government claimed al-Obeidi was an alcoholic and mentally ill.

Al-Obeidi’s booking photo from Boulder County jail.

After a failed attempt to seek refuge in Qatar, al-Obeidi was granted asylum in the U.S. in June of 2011 and, with the help of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, she settled in Denver as a political refugee.

There is much more, read it all!

And, note that Al-Obeidi has a long wikipedia entry as the ultimate victim—a (supposedly) raped refugee.  LOL!  The Washington Post called her a “symbol of defiance against Gaddafi.”

One of the complaints I’ve made repeatedly here at RRW is that the Refugee Resettlement program is often used by the State Department to score political points, or bring in refugees who aren’t otherwise deserving of a gift of American citizenship, but for political reasons they are invited anyway—is that what Hillary did?

See #7 in my testimony to the US State Department here, on this point.  I was talking about whole ethnic groups of refugees we bring in, but it applies to certain individuals as well.  When Qatar didn’t want Al-Obeidi (after they protected her for awhile) maybe that was a sign that something wasn’t quite right.

7)   Congress needs to specifically disallow the use of the refugee program for other purposes of the US Government, especially using certain refugee populations to address unrelated foreign policy objectives—Uzbeks, Kosovars, Meshketians and Bhutanese (Nepalese) people come to mind.

Al-Obeidi will never be deported—-where would we deport her to, surely not Libya because the argument will be made that her sexual indiscretions (or even the suggestion of them) will get her a death sentence from the Islamic extremists now in control of that country (thanks to Hillary).

And, thanks to Hillary she will be our problem for the rest of her life!  Hey! Maybe Hillary could take her to CHAPPAQUA and support her!  Bill might even like that!

NumbersUSA urges activists to attend town halls in August

….and they have a handy map to help you find one near you.

More Republicans (in red) willing to hold town hall meetings then Dems.

Here is a story from the Washington Examiner reporting on the action alert!  Ready to Rumble!

Even if lightning strikes Friday and Congress OK’s an immigration bill, activists angered with unaccompanied minors swarming over the U.S.-Mexico border plan to invade town hall meetings House members are planning during the five-week congressional recess.

Congress did act on immigration bills, but as we know, it changes nothing so be sure to find a town hall meeting near you by clicking here.

While you are at NumbersUSA check out their Congressional report cards so you know how your Members of Congress and US Senators are doing on immigration issues.
