Obama’s road to hell (for the world!) created by Catholic Bishops

That is roughly the title of an article earlier this week at the Canada Free Press by Judi McLeod (hat tip: Jim)

Saul Alinsky over Obama’s shoulder. We are bringing down America! Canada Free Press.

The Catholic Church—through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration—both paved the road for Barack Hussein Obama’s ultimate takeover of Free West society and continues to actively enable the Fundamental Transformation of America by sinking the US in a tsunami of illegal aliens.

In coming to Obama’s aid in erasing forever America’s borders, the bishops sold the USA out, including its Catholics, for the proverbial 30 pieces of silver.

In biblical terms, Obama and the Catholic bishops—who both birthed his progress to the seat of power and back him on his Fundamental Transformation mission—are in in league with the devil. The certain-to-come protestations of the bishops should fall on the same deaf ears they use to shun all pleas of mercy from Americans overwhelmed by invaders in their home towns and cities.

How dare these phony paragons of the pulpit ascribe to our Savior the manufactured invasion of America by millions of U.S. government made-to-order ‘refugees’?

It’s a crock that the bishops are saving illegal aliens rushing the U.S. border based on lofty claims of altruism or charity, when they are doing it for power and filthy lucre…..

[….]

Who ever would have thought that the road to America’s destruction would be made a grim possibility through a host of Catholic priests and bishops?

Read all of it!   McLeod apparently doesn’t know all of it—how much money is really going directly to the Bishops for “migration” from the federal government, 98% here but she has enough.

Then Jim also directed us to Ann Barnhardt here with the Bernardin-Alinsky-Obama Nexus which springboards off the McLeod piece and reiterates the history of the Catholic Churches’ involvement with Alinsky and ultimately Obama something we had written about here (among several posts) in 2009  when we were doing a lot of reading and research on Alinsky and his teachings and how he influenced Obama.

Our “community destabilization” category is so-named as a direct response to what the anti-borders Leftists were (and still are) up to with the mass importation of impoverished people.  Throw in the Cloward-Piven strategy and the blueprint that Obama is following is all there.

Simply put, Socialists (Communists?) Cloward and Piven said in order to bring on the revolution and bring down the government, one must flood the system (bring chaos—Alinsky) with impoverished people causing the welfare system to crash and as a result a new order (new form of government) would come of it.  My theory is that they were running out of poor Americans so they are bringing in the third-worlders.  That is all good for them since a borderless world is nirvana to the schemers.

Every time you see some establishment Republican say Obama isn’t doing anything, you can bet he and Valerie ‘Rasputin’ Jarrett are laughing their heads off as they jet from fund raiser to fund raiser.

(Jarrett said that Obamacare and Immigration would be Obama’s greatest achievements!)

Amarillo, TX, a pocket of resistance, is still trying to stop the resettlement of refugees to their overloaded city

We told you about Amarillo, here, back in February.  They were appealing to their Congressman for help in stemming the migrant tide.

Apparently their REPUBLICAN Congressman (did he get a visit from Grover Norquist?) didn’t do much for them because, according to this article, they are now turning to their state legislators.

[This is not a story about ‘unaccompanied minors,’ but for new readers it is one about the three-decades-old federal program quietly resettling the third-world into America via phony ‘non-profit’ contractors.]

We know this same-old-story well—city services depleted, health department stressed to the max, schools filled with needy children who don’t speak English, not enough housing or jobs.  But, there is one thing that jumped out at me in the same-old-story (high-lighted in red below).

Wyoming and Athens, GA, are you listening?

A case of the dueling contractors?

From News Channel 10:

Amarillo, TX – Amarillo has one of the highest numbers of refugees for a city across the country.

The city has been working to reduce the number of refugees for two years now because they say the number is too high for the city to support.

One of the main concerns the city is seeing is with school funding.

Mayor Paul Harpole says the number of refugees Amarillo is receiving is putting a strain on schools.

“Our concern is that our schools get enough funding to take care of this or we limit the number to more with what our population is. We are getting a higher number of refugees in our city than any other city in the United States of America and we don’t think that is good for the refugees in our city” said Harpole.

Amarillo has been doing refugee resettlement since 1979.

The city says they will still welcome refugees to the area, but the large number is outgrowing the city.

“We have been traditionally accepting, we have Catholic Family Services and now Refugee Resettlement of Texas*** and they have worked well with the refugee population. But we just think it is getting a little too stout for what we should be getting in our city,” said Harpole.

I couldn’t decide if I should liken the contractors to dogs fighting over a bone (federal money) or sharks seeing blood in the water (federal money).  But these dogs seemed appropriate (federal grants/contracts are, of course, the bone).  For new readers, contractors are paid by the head for each refugee they resettle in your towns and cities.

And it makes you wonder if the US State Department is doing its job when it awards contracts???

News Channel 10 continued:

Art work: Kitt Gardner

Nancy Koons, the executive director of Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle, which provides refugee resettlement services.

Koons says they started reducing their numbers back in 2011 to help with the issue.

“When we reduced our numbers from 400 to 200, Refugee Services of Texas, another agency in town picked them up, so we ended up with a net of no difference … so we still have a high resettlement rate,” said Koons.

 [….]

The mayor will meet with Senator Kel Seliger this week and other state leaders in Austin about the problem.

Learn how the federal government (ORR) has hired “Welcoming America” to try to clean up the “pockets of resistance.”

***Refugee Resettlement of Texas is a subcontractor of THREE of the major resettlement contractors:  Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Church World Service and Episcopal Migration Ministries. Wow!  I guess no one is mediating the contracting wars that must be going on in Washington!

The contractors (we may have to start adding grant recipient big dogs Baptist Children and Family Services and Southwest Key Programs to our list):

Faux conservative lectures America on the border crisis

“Conservative” columnist Kathyrn Jean Lopez is acting like a liberal—lecturing us in a guilt-trip laden rant on National Review Online.   I thought they were supposed to be conservative over there?

Ms. Lopez must know that the US Bishops and Catholic Charities are living off US taxpayer charity (aka our tax dollars). Disclaimer required when pimping for the Pope!

In her pontificating piece, Ms Lopez tells us that the Pope just wants us to give love and understanding to the border invaders.  (Hat tip: Paul)

‘Shepherd of the leading charitable organization in the world,’ she calls him.

How about they first admit that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Charities are receiving the majority of their funding to care for the “children” (and other refugees) from the American taxpayer through federal grants and contracts!

Here and here.

Surely the Pope knows that American taxpayers pay for their Christian charity! So he is in no position to lecture us!

And, surely Katheryn Jean Lopez isn’t living under a rock and has been following the news recently as the public is becoming increasingly aware of the greedy “religious” hands picking our pockets in the name of Christian and Jewish charity.

By the way, tell me! what is conservative about taxpayer dollars by the billions flowing to phony non-profits and “religious” charities that are completely unaccountable to the people who pay the do-gooders’ salaries?

I want the Bishops and the Pope to place a disclaimer on every guilt-tripping screed they write or is written for them by a supposed conservative like Lopez.  The disclaimer would go something like this:

The USCCB and Catholic charities are receiving (and have been for decades) the majority of their funding for their migration program as grants and contracts from the US government.

Then they can lecture all they want about “welcoming” and “protecting” the “children” (but few will listen!).

Ms. Lopez needs a disclaimer too!  Use secular media to spread the Gospel (here) she says!

One last thing, the US Bishops and Catholic Charities, as the leading resettlement agencies in the US, resettle more Muslims into America than any other resettlement agency contracted by the US State Department and use your money to do it.  (Just saying!)

For new readers:

All of our coverage of the ‘unaccompanied minors’ invasion of America is here.

The archive extends back several years and includes posts about the USCCB and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service receiving federal grants for many years, prior to this one, to care for the “unaccompanied alien children.”

Be sure to see this post about the Bishops visit to Central America in 2013—did they set the migration in motion?  Last year, they were predicting 60,000 “children” for 2014!

A Tennessean responds to open borders agitators

What about America’s needy, elderly, and disabled people?

Editors note:  That is the question I hear all the time at the local level!

For some reason that I can’t explain, this post continues to be our top post—Tennesseans urging US Senators to block possible border surge to Tennessee—every day since it was published a week ago today.  On July 16th we reported on an attack by Progressive Open Borders activists on the Tennessee citizens (and RRW) calling those who are concerned about Tennessee’s own needy people their favorite pejorative—“nativists.”

A Tennessee citizen responds (emphasis is mine):

Elder refugees on a Catholic Charities field trip to a tourist site, an historic farm. CC of TN is worried about losing government funding for such projects.

It’s exactly what you expect out of these groups. Just as soon as you try to have a rational dialogue about fiscal impact, funding priorities and program sustainability, they resort to name-calling.

Despite their caterwauling of anti-this and anti-that, the truth is that the conflict in Tennessee started with simple questions of “what is the state cost for the voluntary federal refugee resettlement program?” and “what if those state dollars were used to pay for services that Tennessee’s disabled citizens are still waiting for?”

The disabled are the more than 7,000 Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities (what used to be known as mental retardation) who are unable to care for themselves.

The federal government has said repeatedly that it has deliberately shifted the costs of the voluntary resettlement program to the states and a 2012 GAO report disclosed that the federal resettlement contractors get paid for each individual person they bring to a state, so they have a built-in incentive to increase those numbers.

Catholic Charities of TN said in their resettlement proposal that TN schools provide “free” English Language Learner services even though in 2012 TN’s state and local governments spent a combined $70 million for English Language Learner services in the public schools.

In 2008 Tennessee opted out of the voluntary federal program. Now the resettlement program is run by a federal contractor who in 2011 said they were going to expand the program in TN – without any input from the state of course. This has resulted in more people, more money for the contractors and higher enrollment in the state’s Medicaid program.

The state passed a bill that simply codified the federal code provisions which require the refugee contractors to coordinate with the state and give advance notice when refugees are due to arrive.

The idea for a local moratorium on resettlement when capacity becomes an issue, came from a federal hearing, and Tennessee’s State Refugee Coordinator (federal contractor) running the program agreed that was okay.

Federal contractor data showed that of the about 4,500 people they brought to Tennessee over a three year period, Medicaid (TennCare) enrollment in this group doubled during that time. During this same period at least one-third of their clients were considered “non-employable” because they were either children or 65 and older.

Contractors enroll eligible seniors into SSI which is also funded in part with state dollars.

Way back when the federal government reimbursed states for the state funded portion of SSI, Medicaid and cash welfare. That stopped in 1991.

This information raised more questions about how state dollars were being spent for a voluntary federal program. In the absence of any state law, the federal contractors believed themselves unaccountable to the state.

The bill to address this would have required the contractors to report for example, how many people they enrolled into TennCare and the cash welfare program. The State Refugee Coordinator initially said the contractors couldn’t provide that information. Then they “remembered” that the Cooperative Agreements signed with the federal government require tracking how many people and into which publicly financed programs they are being enrolled.

The State Refugee Coordinator was also asked to report how many of the students they help enroll into public school also receive ELL services. Again they said there was no way to get this information even though the contractors are receiving school impact grants that they use to hire staff that liaison between the schools and the families.

Isn’t it ironic that while complaining about the possibility of ORR diverting refugee resettlement money to help the illegal immigrants crossing the border, the State Refugee Coordinator was quoted saying that the loss of funds would effect the contractor’s “children in schools” program.

In a more recent article we are told that if the funds get cut because of illegal immigration, the elder refugees (who they define as 55 and older), will lose the “special help” they get that includes bingo games, bowling, and field trips to the art museum and pumpkin patch. These are services which the federal contractors say enhance the “quality of life” for their clients.

What about the “quality of life” issues for Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities? Federal refugee resettlement contractors like to claim that the refugee resettlement program is fully funded by the federal government. They really believe that if they say it enough it will be true. Well, it simply isn’t – even the federal government says this isn’t true.

About the photo:  It was published at USA Today (from the Tennessean) in a story about how Catholic Charities, which as a ‘Wilson-Fish’ ***agency calls the shots (along with the federal government) for all refugees going to Tennessee, complains that they might lose funding for their elder refugees if too much money is diverted to care for the ‘unaccompanied minors’ —- all part of a public relations campaign to get Congress to shell out a few more billions for the migrant tide to America.

Most sensible Americans are asking—what about our own needy, elderly, and disabled people?

***Is yours a Wilson-Fish state where Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services or other entities run the program with no state government involvement?

Iowa: Number of languages/illiterate refugees making fire and rescue work difficult

News of the surge of illegal aliens swamping Texas and being driven and flown to other states, has pushed most of our other “refugee” news to the side, but here is one bit of news from a week ago that must be mentioned.

This is a problem we have written about off and on for seven years—by federal executive order (Clinton) local governments/courts are required to have interpreters available for the myriad languages being spoken by immigrants in their communities, but most can’t afford it.

Cough? (Got TB?) COURTNEY COLLINS / Courier Staff Photographer

From WCF Courier (hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’).  By the way, note that here we go again with Catholic Charities and meatpackers needing cheap labor!

WATERLOO | Emergency dispatchers and response teams are struggling with a widening language divide as they attempt to service Waterloo’s growing population of non-English speakers.

The communication barrier creates problems for all parties involved, from the dispatcher deciphering a 911 call to the officer trying to put together an accurate police report to the concerned resident trying to communicate a problem with little to no knowledge of the English language.

Over recent years, Waterloo Police have dealt with a slew of languages including Bosnian, Spanish, Serbian, Croatian, Burmese, French and Vietnamese.

In 2006, Burmese refugees began settling in Waterloo for the employment opportunities at Tyson’s meat plant, and the community has been growing ever since.

Dispatchers at the Black Hawk Consolidated Communications Center receive about a half-dozen calls a day in foreign languages.

But resources for interpretation are slim, a Courier investigation shows.

And as refugees from Burma continue to move to the area at a steady pace, bringing with them five vastly different languages, it has quickly become a complex problem to solve.

Nearly 1,500 Burmese refugees have planted roots in the Waterloo area, according to local estimates. That population is expected to reach 2,000 in the next year. In summer months, about two to four households migrate to the area each week.

Stephen Schmitz, who resettles new refugees through Catholic Charities in Cedar Rapids, estimates that more than half of these incoming refugees are illiterate.

There is more, read it all.   Be sure to check out the comments!

I don’t have time to do all the linking but know that BIG MEAT (and its head hunters at the State Department and contractors like Catholic Charities) is responsible for changing the demographics of many small cities in the Mid West and South.  It is a win-win for them—cheap captive “illiterate” labor (refugees cannot go home) that you subsidize them (housing, food stamps, education).  They get to wear the do-gooder white hat and you pay the price!

How about if the meatpackers, like Tysons, pay for the extra costs to the community—like interpreters!

About the photo:  We are not suggesting that the woman in the photo was asking refugees if they have TB, but readers should know that Burmese especially have higher rates of TB than some other refugee groups.  See our health issues category for more on TB in the refugee population, but here is one post generally making the point.
