German Jewish group says migration of Muslims into Germany must be "limited"

Invasion of Europe news…..

So, I guess we are seeing the limits of some Jewish leaders in Europe as an Austrian Jewish group has also called for a halt to the Muslim migration which shows no sign of slowing down.

Gee, I sure wish they could persuade the Jewish US resettlement contractor, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, that the majority of Muslims don’t like you (in fact they hate you!).  Sheer insanity…..
HIAS is pushing for 100,000 mostly Muslim Syrians to be resettled in the US.
From AFP at Yahoo.news:

Berlin (AFP) – The Central Council of Jews in Germany called Monday for a limit to the migrant influx because of problems with integrating the mainly Muslim newcomers, earning a quick rebuke from a pro-refugee charity.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government has opened the doors to asylum seekers fleeing conflict in Syria, and arrivals from the war-torn country and other trouble spots are expected to reach one million this year.

“Sooner or later we won’t have a choice but to set an upper limit,” the council’s president Josef Schuster told Die Welt daily.

“Many of the refugees are fleeing the terror of the Islamic State and want to live in peace and freedom, but at the same time they come from cultures where hatred of Jews and intolerance are an integral part.

[….]

But German non-government group Pro Asyl criticised Schuster’s comments, saying it was unfortunate the Jewish group was sharing the same position as the conservative Bavarian CSU party.

Photo:  We have written about Burkhardt before, here in 2014, when he was working to silence “right-wing propaganda” long before the migration became a full-fledged invasion.   Readers, that post was over 18 months ago demonstrating that German leaders knew long ago what the results of their “welcoming” posture would be to the third-world.  They had plenty of time to stop it if they had any guts and the will to do it.

UNHCR freak-out as Balkan states start to balk

Invasion of Europe news….
This story is confusing to me.  Actually it discusses THE big question I have, and I have not seen any good explanation for what could happen.
migrant route map
First, we hear reports that Sweden and Germany are closing their borders.  If that is so, and is happening already (or will happen), eventually what will become of all those migrants working their way northward?  Won’t they build up as water might behind a dam?
Maybe these Balkan states are getting ready for that inevitable outcome.
Earlier this morning I saw this confusing (to me) report at the UNHCR website, here.    So I looked for a more understandable news story and found this one at The Guardian.    It still doesn’t answer my question, but does help to lay out the problem.
Have a quick look at the UNHCR interactive map that shows the migrant flow on a daily basis (yesterday 4,499 new refugees arrived in Greece) and imagine if the spigot gets shut off at the German/Austrian border or the Austria/Slovenia border, then what?  All of those flowing northward will inevitably pile up in those states ‘downstream’ right?
And, I guess what those countries downstream are saying is that they don’t want thousands of economic migrants (they are NOT refugees) piled up in their countries.  But, they will get a logjam of legitimate asylum seekers anyway.  EU leaders should have stopped the boats months ago, it all seems too little too late to me!
Here is what The Guardian is reporting:

Countries along the Balkan migration trail have begun refusing to admit people of certain nationalities, amid a backlash against refugees in the aftermath of the Paris attacks last Friday.

Humanitarian workers active along the borders of Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia reported that refugees and migrants from countries other than Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq were now being stopped, raising the spectre of a migrant logjam in Greece.

The move comes after Slovenia, the most northerly country along the trail, suddenly tried to return 168 Moroccan migrants to Croatia on Thursday, in the first major development along the Balkan migration route since Hungary shut its border in September.  [Moroccan’s are not refugees, they are not being persecuted!—ed]

The decision sparked panic among the countries to Slovenia’s south, who feared that Slovenia was about to block access to anyone who could not easily prove their need for refugee status, and consequently turned back all migrants from Africa and southern Asia.

Slovenia said on Thursday afternoon it had not made any permanent decisions, and promised to admit refugees as long as Germany and Austria continued to subsequently take them. But a police spokesman confirmed that Slovenia would discuss with its Balkan neighbours how to limit the flow of so-called economic migrants in the future.

More here.
The great build up behind a dam seems inevitable to me.  One day Germany will stop the flow and surely Austria will too then and the pile up will happen in those countries less able to manage any of this invasion.  Is anyone planning for this likely outcome?

German Chancellor now wants to return to the old European asylum rules

Invasion of Europe news…..

After dispensing with the EU rule earlier this year that required that asylum seekers register and apply for asylum in the first country in which they arrive, Angela Merkel now says the rule is back in force.   Of course, her earlier “welcome” set in motion the massive flow of migrants that now stretches throughout many countries in especially eastern Europe.

Merkel pursed lips
Merkel reluctantly trying to put the Genie back in the bottle.

Here is the Wall Street Journal on the reinstatement of the rule.  I bet some European leaders, like Orban in Hungary, are further enraged.
And, who is going to tell the moving masses they must return to the country they first set foot on in Europe.
Go here to see how many were on the move just yesterday as “Mama” Merkel made the announcement.

BERLIN—Germany said Tuesday it could reject Syrian migrants if other European countries are officially responsible for their asylum requests, a move that in practice will affect few people but illustrated the government’s mounting efforts to signal that its ability to take in refugees was reaching its limits.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been trying to balance her continued message of welcoming refugees with responding to growing pressure from local and state governments, as well as senior members of her own party, to stem the continuing inflow of thousands of migrants a day.

The change in policy announced Tuesday was an example of that balancing act. The Interior Ministry said that since Oct. 21, it was again applying to all migrants EU rules that require the country in which a person first registers an asylum request to process that request.

In August, Germany had announced the suspension of those rules for Syrians, a move that officials say helped spur hundreds of thousands of refugees to make their way to the country.

Berlin: Thousands protest, demand Merkel resignation

Invasion of Europe news…..

Berlin protest
On the streets of Berlin. Learn more about the ‘Alternative for Germany’ party here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternative_for_Germany

We have seen lots of Germans take to the streets throughout the country to protest the (mostly Muslim) migrant invasion, but this is the first time I’ve seen one in the capital.
From Breitbart:

The anti-mass migration Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD) party held a rally in the German capital Berlin this afternoon, demanding the resignation of Chancellor Angela Merkel and calling for the country to adopt a strong policy on immigration.

The AfD has seen its popularity surge as Germany struggles to deal with the huge influx of migrants, and is currently campaigning in local elections in the Saxony-Anhalt region that will be seen as an indicator of public sentiment on the issue.

German paper Handelsblatt estimates that 5,000 people joined the rally this afternoon, calling for the immediate closure of Germany’s borders and introduction of Visa requirements from migrants from the Balkan states, including Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Angry demonstrators chanted “Merkel must go” and “traitor to the people” under the banner “Asylum has its limits – red card for Merkel”.

Can Germany put the Genie back in the bottle?

It’s doubtful even if the New York Times says German leaders are working on it….

Genie in a bottle
More Invasion of Europe news!
Before even reading this below, go here, and have a look at the UN High Commissioner for Refugee’s interactive map which shows the daily flow of migrants into Europe.  It is absolutely fascinating to see! 7,315 were crossing into Germany from Austria just yesterday alone!  Two days before that (on Wednesday) it was 9,930.
And, so how do Germany’s politicians plan to get the message out to those on the move, and do they really think that even if the thousands arriving daily on Europe’s shores are going to hear the news (do they read the NYT?), what are the odds that they are going to say oopsie! and turn around?  See ‘Is the end nigh?’
From the NYT:

BERLIN — The German government is considering restoring controls on Syrian refugees arriving here after fleeing war in their homeland, and will significantly tighten rules allowing refugees to bring their families here, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The announcement followed weeks of mounting doubt about whether Germany has the capacity to handle almost 800,000 refugees who have arrived so far this year and who could total more than a million by year’s end.

Chancellor Angela Merkel and her government have come under fire at home and abroad, accused of triggering the influx of refugees from Syria and elsewhere when the German office overseeing migration said in August that it would no longer check Syrian arrivals. Those pursuing asylum had already been arriving in Central Europe in ever-increasing numbers earlier in the summer, but the pace quickened after that statement.
