Let's hope Trump doesn't back down on immigrant crime statement

I’m traveling today with no time to post much, but wanted you to be sure to see this piece by Ann Coulter.  And, I see that it’s not just the media going after Trump.  It seems he has released all the Furies of Hell with his comment about immigrant criminals.

In her book ‘Adios America: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hell Hole.’  Coulter very extensively lays out what she says in her latest column.
I have (over the last 8 years) noticed that very rarely does any media report tell the reader the immigration status of a criminal and that is especially so if the immigrant is a refugee.
Some reader recently asked me where to find crime stats for refugees and I wished him good luck and asked if he ever found any, send them my way!

When Donald Trump said something not exuberantly enthusiastic about Mexican immigrants, the media’s response was to boycott him. One thing they didn’t do was produce any facts showing he was wrong.

Trump said: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

The first thing a news fact-checker would have noticed is: THE GOVERNMENT WON’T TELL US HOW MANY IMMIGRANTS ARE COMMITTING CRIMES IN AMERICA.

Wouldn’t that make any person of average intelligence suspicious? Not our media. They’re in on the cover-up.

You’ve probably already seen the news here at WND , but thanks to reader Robin for sending this AP story posted at the Daily Journal about the Sudanese refugee shot by police on Saturday as he attacked an officer with a flag pole.

Deng Manyuon, a refugee first resettled in Nashville ended up killed by a police officer in Louisville, KY when he threatened an officer with a metal flag pole. So much for the screening of refugees we hear so much about. I guess they are not screened for mental illness!

Everywhere I travel in America, people tell me some story about how hard it is for a decent/educated/deserving European or Canadian to get into the US as an immigrant, yet here we are taking the mentally ill from Africa who will never benefit from a life in a first world country.
By the way, note that the USCIS would not discuss his immigration status (even after he is dead?).  One more story for Ann Coulter’s ‘Adios America’ where she very meticulously (and humorously) discusses the secrecy the media tolerates (promotes!) when reporting on the immigration status of criminal aliens.
You see, reporting about immigrant criminals does not fit the message the Leftwing media wants you to get! However, I am starting to see a change, and at least this AP reporter used the “R” word!

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Deng Manyuon stood in the middle of an intersection on a 33-degree morning in March 2013, wearing just shorts and a T-shirt and shouting at passing cars.

The Sudanese refugee, “manifestly under the influence of alcohol,” then kicked a police officer in the rib cage, according to court records. Officers subdued him safely that morning.

But on Saturday, he swung a 7-foot flagpole at Louisville Metro Police Officer Nathan Blanford and the officer shot him dead, sparking a debate in the city about officers’ use of deadly force and their sensitivity when dealing with the mentally ill or intoxicated.

Court records that chronicle Manyuon’s seven years in Louisville describe a troubled man with mental illness and alcoholism, who routinely lashed out at the officers who tried to rein him in.

Manyuon, alternatively spelled Manyoun in records, was in and out of jail and downtown homeless shelters, and was a familiar presence on the streets around the Old Louisville intersection where he was killed Saturday.

He spoke Dinka, a language of southern Sudan, according to court translation records. He struggled to communicate in English, his friends said.  [He lived here since 2001 and could not speak English!—ed]

Manyuon fled war-torn Sudan in 2001 and settled in Nashville, according to Bart Weigel, communications director for Catholic Charities of Louisville, which offers resettlement services to refugees.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services declined to discuss his immigration status, citing privacy concerns.

On Saturday, Manyuon allegedly attacked a stranger on the street, grabbed her purse and threw it, then punched her in the face.

Virginia: African refugee from Togo in US for nine days before attempted rape

Editor:  Is there something about Mondays, or is the issue of Refugee Resettlement really heating up?  I am leaving to speak in Pennsylvania this evening and have little time to post, so thanks to all who sent additional stories today.  I will get to them later or tomorrow.

Tchalim Koboya Lidawo, your friendly refugee next door?

Wanted to get this one posted while it’s still hot.  He gets only ten years for attempted rape?  If a passerby hadn’t come along it wouldn’t have only been “attempted.”

By the way, I wondered if he was a legitimate ‘refugee.’ or here through some other legal program.  So, I checked the State Department stats and was surprised to find that we do take refugees from Togo.  Why?

So much for that security screening the US State Department and its contractors are always bragging about!

Leesburg, Va. – A West African man who attempted to rape a woman just nine days after arriving in the United States has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

Tchalim Koboya Lidawo pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted rape and one count of abduction with force in connection to an incident that occurred on December 4th, 2014, the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office said.

The incident occurred at an Ashburn apartment complex, according to officials. The victim told law enforcement that she was taking out her trash when Lidawo approached her near the dumpster. He grabbed the victim and dragged her into some nearby woods, officials said.

A struggle ensued, the victim fell down, and Lidawo climbed on top of her, according to the attorney’s office said.

A passerby heard the victim’s screams and approached, causing Lidawo to get up and run into the woods. The victim provided police with a description of Lidawo, leadnig to his arrest.

Lidawo was sentenced to ten years with additional five years of suspended time according to officials. He must also pay a $5,000 fine.

As a native of Togo, Lidawo may be removed from the United States when he is released.  [He won’t be!—ed]

So now we get to pay for his prison stay!

I think there should be a requirement that the US State Department and its contractors pay for the legal costs of criminal trials and imprisonment for every refugee who commits a crime.  Of course, that would still come out of our pockets (the taxpayers), but it would send a very important message to the public.

Update March 19th:  See refugee agency “disturbed” and quick to say refugees have criminal background checks before arriving in the US.  So what about mental illness screening?  The victims had only been in the US for just a little over 4 months.

He was described as crazy and people feared him.

So the next time a resettlement contractor tells you that refugees are screened before entering the US, remember that mental illness is obviously not a bar to admission.

The accused murderer, 18 year old Eh Lar Doh Htoo is believed to be Karen (Christian).

Although this creep doesn’t appear to be a Muslim as was the Burmese child murderer in Utah, Esar Met, he should never have been allowed into the US.  His mental problems were likely apparent to his interviewers as were Met’s.

NEW BERN, N.C.

A Burmese immigrant accused of stabbing three young brothers to death had scared a different neighborhood family by knocking on their door several times in the middle of the night.

“He’s crazy,” neighbor Ner Wah said Wednesday. “I told my wife: ‘Be careful. Don’t answer the door.'”

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Eh Lar Doh Htoo, attacked a Burmese family in their home Tuesday night with a knife, killing the brothers — ages 1, 5 and 12, police said. When officers arrived, he was still holding the knife, New Bern Police Chief Toussaint Summers Jr. told The Associated Press.

Htoo also wounded the brothers’ mother and their 14-year-old sister. Police said they don’t know a motive for the attack and a language barrier hampered their investigation.   [Expensive interpreters will be called in and you, the taxpayer, pay for that service—ed]

New Bern is a coastal town and home to about 1,900 Burmese refugees, who resettled in the area after fleeing persecution from the country once called Burma.

Susan Husson, executive director of the Interfaith Refugee Ministry in New Bern, said the victims’ family and the suspect’s family likely came through her office before settling in New Bern, but she didn’t know them personally.

20,581 refugees were resettled in North Carolina since January 2005. 7,432 of them were Burmese.

On this last point (above) two comments:  First, interesting that they must resettle so many refugees in New Bern that the director doesn’t even know the people she has brought to the city.  And, then reader Cathy pointed out that maybe people are catching on and someone directed this reporter to the agency responsible for bringing them to New Bern— Interfaith Refugee Ministry.  It used to be very rare for reporters to figure out there was an agency involved when refugees ‘find their way’ to this town or that town.

Checking a recent Form 990 for Interfaith Refugee Ministry, we learned that they took in $1,138,222 one recent year and $1,054,809 came to them from you—via government grants.  They are 93% funded by taxpayer dollars, therefore they are an arm of the federal government, not a charitable ‘church’ group!

How many Burmese Muslims are entering the US?

Again, the accused killer is being described as belonging to the Karen ethnic group which are Christians.

However, I was recently shocked doing some numbers research to learn that the US admitted 1,439 Burmese Muslims to the US in 2014 alone.

North Carolina is not in the Top Ten resettlement states, but falls just short of making the list, here, at number twelve.

This is a long story in the New York Times that you should have a look at.  The Islamic school, where the sexual abuse is said to have occurred, is described as having a “fundamentalist” orientation.

ELGIN, Ill. — Ordinarily, she never wore a veil. But it was required at the Islamic school where she worked, and she remembers being surprised when the head of the school, a conservative imam, suggested that she remove it and reveal her face.

When the imam, Mohammad Abdullah Saleem, came into the office where she worked, she said, he would sometimes touch her cheek or put an arm around her shoulder. Mr. Saleem was revered in her close-knit community, and she did not object at first. But simply being alone together represented a forbidden intimacy, and looking back, she said those first gestures should have been more alarming.

“It’s not something that gets done,” the 23-year-old woman said recently. “Men and women don’t even shake hands.”

Over time, she said the touching became more aggressive, reaching a point that she did something almost unheard-of in her community. She told people: her family, a social worker, an Islamic scholar. Recently, she went to the police. As word spread of what she had told them, three other women came forward, telling detectives that as young girls they had been molested by Mr. Saleem.

The accusations are particularly jarring because of Mr. Saleem’s stature. “In the South Asian community, he is like Billy Graham. He’s the archbishop of Chicago,” said Omer Mozaffar, an Islamic scholar who serves as the Muslim chaplain at Loyola University Chicago and who acted as a mediator between Mr. Saleem and his first accuser last year.

Three cheers for the brave women who have stepped forward with information.
