Jihadist Uzbek Diversity Visa Lottery winner kills eight near World Trade Center

You don’t need me to give you that news, but let’s first talk about the Diversity Visa Lottery (aka Green card lottery) which we have discussed often on these pages over the previous ten years. It is one more LEGAL immigration program that must go!

(Here is my archive on the program. And, I’ll say it again. There are many possible themes for ‘amateur’ investigative bloggers that I’ve been nagging some of you to jump in to over the years including the Diversity Visa Lottery, Temporary Protected Status and immigrant food stamp and medicaid fraud. There is a desperate need for individual bloggers focusing solely on those topics and more every day because we cannot count on the mainstream media to inform us!)

Here is a good summary about Trump and the Diversity Visa Lottery in the wake of this latest Islamic terrorist attack from John Binder at Breitbart.

President Trump could shut this down in a heartbeat with an Executive Order if he so chose. Or, at minimum, add Uzbekistan to the list of countries requiring additional screening.

The suspected foreign national terrorist behind the New York City attack that has left at least eight individuals dead came to the United States years ago through the Diversity Visa Lottery, a program that President Trump and pro-American immigration reformers have demanded an end to.

According to ABC New York, 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov — the man who allegedly mowed down pedestrians in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City — entered the U.S. in 2010 from Uzbekistan under the Diversity Visa Lottery before obtaining a Green Card.

Just think about this! We haven’t enough diversity in America according to Congress (which has never been able to kill the program) so every year we bring in 50,000 more including from countries that hate us!

The Diversity Visa Lottery gives out 50,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorist problems – such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.

Trump, though, along with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. David Perdue (R-GA), has been calling for an end to the Diversity Visa Lottery program since August. Under the RAISE Act, introduced in February and endorsed by Trump in August, the Diversity Visa Lottery would be eliminated altogether.

The Trump administration took eliminating the Diversity Visa Lottery even more seriously earlier this month when they introduced the president’s immigration priorities, which like the RAISE Act called for the elimination of the program.

We do not need to wait for the RAISE Act to kill the Diversity Visa Lottery!

(BTW, I’m not a big fan of the RAISE Act because it doesn’t do enough to reform the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program. Let’s not dither around, let’s have a stand alone bill to kill the Diversity Visa Lottery right now.)

Now let’s talk about Uzbeks who have arrived LEGALLY in the US including through the Refugee Admissions Program.

The poster boy for Uzbek Islamic terrorist refugees is Fazliddin Kurbanov who was convicted of conspiracy to commit terrorism in Idaho in 2015. See here.

And, if you had any doubts about how bad he is, he attempted to kill the California prison warden shortly after arriving to serve his 25-year sentence.

Here is what I reported in May of this year:

For all of the refugee contractors and their groupies busily spreading propaganda that refugees never commit crimes, take note of Muslim Fazliddin Kurbanov who was already in prison, convicted on terrorism charges, and then tried to kill the prison warden a year ago this week!

Where the heck was (is!) the national media on this story?

Indictment: Boise man serving terrorism sentence tried to kill prison warden

RIVERSIDE, California — A Boise man who was convicted in 2015 of terrorism-related crimes has been indicted after prosecutors say he attacked the warden at the federal prison where he was held.

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 34, was just months into a 25-year sentence when the attack happened May 31, 2016 at the Federal Correctional Institute in Victorville, California.

He was indicted Wednesday on charges of attempted murder of a federal officer, assault on a federal officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon, and possession by an inmate of a prohibited object intended to be used as a weapon.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kurbanov used a prison-made knife to attack Calvin Johnson, seriously injuring him. According to the Amercian Federation of Government Employees, the warden needed more than 80 staples to close wounds on his torso.

Of course we don’t have the full story and my primary questions are: How did he get a knife? And, how did he get close enough to the warden? Were they alone? Was the warden naive or attempting to show the convicted Jihadist how nice he (the warden) was?

Where is Jamshid Muhtorov another Uzbek refugee arrested in 2012 on terrorism charges?

Before I give you the latest on Muhtorov, the big question remains:

Why were we bringing in this group of known Uzbek troublemakers anyway? Some didn’t even want to be here!

As one of my knowledgeable readers suggests, maybe the reason Muhtorov has not gone to trial yet is that the government might have to reveal why the Bush Administration was taking in Uzbek dissidents as legitimate refugees in the first place!

Isn’t it time for President Trump to force the US State Department and Homeland Security (and the CIA!) to tell us exactly what happened after the 2005 Andijan Uprising in Uzbekistan (a Muslim country where the Muslim factions are fighting each other) and why we admitted some of the trouble makers to the US as refugees?

Minnesota victim speaks in case of roving Somali gangs in upscale neighborhood

We first mentioned this incredible scary story a couple of days ago pointing out that the mainstream media never reports news like this nationally, but here we learn from World Net Daily reporter, Leo Hohmann, who spoke with the primary target of the confrontation as at least 20 Somali men (self proclaimed jihadists) swarmed a neighborhood outside of Minneapolis, what happened on THREE separate occasions in the escalating “jihad” on a lakeside community.

Many outrageous and frightening things were shouted by Somali men, some of whom were dressed in traditional Islamic robes.
They said they practiced shariah law and could thus kidnap and rape the attractive target of their abusive language.
They were yelling the word “jihad” from their car windows as they careened across lawns and sidewalks.
They blasted the soundtrack of a woman being sexually assaulted from a car.
They carried duffel bags, held them as if they were guns and shot off bottle rockets to make the sounds of gun shots.
And, that is just a bit of what happened as this neighborhood was terrorized last week.

Where is the Minneapolis Star Tribune? Where is the New York Times? Where is CNN? Where is Fox News? The whole country should be informed of what happens when a Muslim Somali population grows large enough to boldly attack the peace and quiet of a suburban neighborhood with shouts of “jihad.”

Somalis did not ‘find their way’ to Minnesota from East Africa!

If you are a new reader here today, know that the reason the Somali population is so high in Minnesota is because the UN/US State Department began resettling tens of thousands there over more than 25 years with the help initially of Catholic Charities, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service and World Relief (Evangelicals). There are now other federal contractors working day and night (along with the original three) to change Minnesota one town at a time!
If you live in towns newly contemplating ‘welcoming’ refugees from the Muslim world, take note! Asheville, NC, Charleston, WV, Missoula, MT, Rutland, VT, Reno, NV, Fayetteville, AR etc… are you paying attention!
The feds and their contractors may tell you they will only bring your town a certain ethnic group, do not believe them, you will get a mix of refugees from all over the world, including Somalis! About 750 additional Somalis arrive in the US each month from all over the world!

Don't get hung up on screening! It's the second generation immigrant jihadists we must worry about

There is so much talk about the screening process for Muslim refugees that I’m afraid we are losing sight of the fact that it’s the second generation (can you say San Bernardino slaughter) that we should be concerned about.

Realistically, how are we going to stop those Islamic terrorists (to save our children and grandchildren)?

There is only one way and it starts with halting all Muslim migration to America and then it requires a ruthless surveillance of all those in here already (like it or not! Trump is right!) until any vestige of the Islamic supremacist mindset is stamped out.
This week’s issue of the Weekly Standard reminds us of the huge US Somali population (growing by the hundreds each month), that has been the seed community from which ISIS, and before that, Al-Shabaab has been drawing its new recruits.

If you get your news from the headlines, you can be excused for thinking that “Minnesota men” pose a special risk of taking up the terrorist jihad at home and abroad. As the Wall Street Journal reported this past April, for example, “U.S. charges six Minnesota men with trying to join ISIS.” The “Minnesota men” featured in such headlines are almost invariably drawn from Minnesota’s swelling population of Somali Muslim immigrants. The state—mostly the metropolitan Twin Cities area—is home to 35,000 such immigrants, the largest Somali population in North America.

Starting in the 1990s, the State Department directed thousands of refugees from Somalia’s civil war to Minnesota. As Kelly Riddell pointed out in the Washington Times this past February, in Minnesota these refugees “can take advantage of some of America’s most generous welfare and charity programs.” Riddell quoted Professor Ahmed Samatar of Macalester College in St. Paul: “Minnesota is exceptional in so many ways but it’s the closest thing in the United States to a true social democratic state.” After a dip in 2008, the inflow of Somalis has continued unabated and augmented by Somalis from other states. If it takes a village, Minnesota has what it takes.

And, do you know why the number dipped in 2008? That was the year that the US State Department basically said ‘oopsie! we admitted thousands of Somalis illegally who had lied on applications to get in.’ Consequently, the resettlement of Somali families was put on hold for a couple of years!

How many Somalis have we resettled? And, why are we still bringing them in by the thousands each year?

So, how many did we admit in the last 25 years or so? Go to this post we wrote in 2008 (and updated through the years).
In the first six weeks of FY 2016 we have already admitted another 827 Somalis (surely the number has passed the 1,000 mark in recent days).
You must call your US Senators and Member of Congress today, tomorrow and maybe early next week! It is not just about the Syrians!!! And, it’s not just about making sure the ones coming in are ‘screened’ when evidence tells us it’s not mom and dad who we should fear, but their children as the second generation is not assimilating, but become more devout (aka radicalized!).

Action Alert: Call your members of the House and Senate at 202-224-3121 and ask them to vigorously oppose the Refugee Resettlement funding contained in the Omnibus Spending Bill that will be voted on by 12-11-15! Please call by this Friday, Dec. 4th.

Conservative Review on Chattanooga and our LEGAL immigration system admitting potential jihadists

After 9/11, when the bipartisan 9/11 Commission identified the obvious root cause of the attack as an immigration problem, we doubled down on stupidity. The U.S. has admitted roughly 1.6 million individuals from predominantly Muslim countries since 9/11 – twice the rate of immigration from that part of the world relative to the previous decade.

According to a new poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy, 51% of Muslims in America believe “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to sharia.” Twenty-nine percent agree that violence against those who insult Mohammad is acceptable and 25% agree that violence against America can be justified as part of Global Jihad. Among males under the age of 45 that number rises to 36%. Twenty-nine percent of males under 45 believe that violence against America is justified in order to make Sharia the law of the land. With an estimated 3 million Muslims in this country (projected to triple by 2050), that could mean there are hundreds of thousands of radicalized ones.

The more precipitously Muslim immigrants are admitted to this country, the less likely they will assimilate and the more likely they will cluster in cities and cultivate a climate of Jihad. The numbers speak for themselves. This is by no means the majority of Muslims, but 25% support for Jihad is an awful lot of security risks, especially among young males.

I suggest a fourth! In addition to holding up the Syrian resettlement, we need a moratorium on all immigration from countries that hate us and it isn’t simply to avoid more terror attacks, it is to stop the Hijra! Hijra is the insidious Islamic Doctrine of immigration—Mohammed told his followers to go forth and spread Islam across the world and they are doing it! That (for me) is the existential threat facing America. It may take them decades to achieve their goal, but they work on the migration jihad every single day as we simply talk about terrorism in the short term.
By the way, I was glad to see that Horowitz has screen shots from the State Department data base I mention frequently.

Daniel Greenfield: Chattanooga shooter possibly linked to Palestinian refugees

Update: If Dad is a Palestinian who left Kuwait, this family could indeed be resettled refugees or successful asylum seekers we gave shelter to. Here is what wikipedia says about the expulsion of Palestinians (Jordanian citizens) from Kuwait after the first Gulf War. I don’t have time to dig around, but if you do, I’ll post your links here! I have to get on to my work on “Welcoming Ohio” this morning.
Everyone I know is asking if the Islamic-motivated shooting of 4 unarmed Marines is somehow linked to our refugee program. I don’t have the answer yet.

We don’t take very many refugees from Kuwait nor do we take very many Palestinians, but we do send many Muslim refugees to Tennessee.
If anyone sees a mention of the year the killer’s family entered the US it might help us narrow this down. Remember there are several legal immigration programs through which this family could have been admitted to the US.
One possibility is that a family member (the father?) entered the US in some legal fashion (tourist visa?) then applied for asylum and subsequently brought the family over behind him (like the Tsarnaev Boston Bomber family did).
Everyone keep an eye out for any news about how they got into the US!

As the Director for the Tennessee Office for Refugees, Holly Johnson would be able to put the question to rest by telling us whether or not the killer’s family came to the US as refugees or possibly were granted asylum status after getting into the country through some other means.

The refugee program in Tennessee is a Wilson-Fish program which means it is run jointly by the US State Department and in this case Catholic Charities of Tennessee (Tennessee Office for Refugees)—they would both know if the Abdulazeez family came here as refugees or successful asylum seekers.
Also, the primary resettlement contractor in Chattanooga is Bridge Refugee Services (a subcontractor of Church World Service and Episcopal Migration Ministries, two of nine major contractors).
Bridge has been operating in Chattanooga since 1982 so they would know if this family was one of theirs!
My guess is that the refugee contractors in Tennessee will not be forthcoming.

The media is reporting that the Muslim attacker in the Chattanooga shootings is Kuwaiti. That may not be accurate, based on the current reporting, it would appear that his mother Rasmia Abdulazeez is indeed from Kuwait, but his father Youssuf Abdulazeez is from Nablus in Israel.

This is not especially significant as a lot of self-described “Palestinians” used to live in Kuwait. At least until the Kuwaitis kicked them out for collaborating with Saddam. With the approval of Bush I.

By the way, one of the first posts I ever wrote at RRW was about this agency, Bridge Refugee Services, joining the ACLU and CAIR to fight a 2003 request by the US Dept. of Homeland Security for information under the Patriot Act. The national security agency was looking for information on resettled Iraqi refugees. The resettlement contractor refused to cooperate.
So they are not likely to talk now!

Meanwhile Presidential candidate Bobby Jindal says Muslim immigration to America might more correctly be called “colonization.”

According to a recent report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), approximately 2.5 million immigrants from “predominantly Muslim countries” reside inside the U.S. right now. Abdulazeez was apparently one of them. Jindal has questioned whether all the Muslims coming into the United States right now is really truly “immigration” or if it’s actually a “colonization.”
