Biden Taps Mega-millionaire John Kerry to Be Global Warming Czar

Transitioning smoothly (they hope) from COVID Crisis to Climate Crisis to bring about the new world order.

That is, of course, if Biden ever gets anywhere near the White House come January.

So why is that bit of news posted here at Refugee Resettlement Watch?

It is because former Secretary of State, and failed presidential candidate Kerry is beating the drum about how we must focus on Climate REFUGEES soon or we will be in deep s***!

In 2016, did Kerry put his $25 million Nantucket mansion on the market because he knew this!

 

Surely he, an ethical man, informed the buyers that the sea was going to eat up their investment before too long!

But, this is not a new ‘scare-the-West’ campaign.

I first took note of the global warming refugee media campaign in 2009 (here is one post from eleven years ago), and I may be the only blogger following this effort by the Commie/Left to open borders (and redistribute wealth) for yet another reason, the climate (eeeek!) is changing.

Biden Picks John Kerry, Paris Accord Author, as Climate Czar

Former Secretary of State John Kerry will be named as special presidential envoy for climate by President-elect Joe Biden, according to his transition team, in a sign Biden plans to fulfill promises to elevate the issue of global warming to the highest levels in his White House.

Having a so-called climate czar could help coordinate a whole-of-government approach to confronting global warming, which Biden has referred to as an “existential threat.”

Kerry, 76, who helped broker the landmark Paris climate accord while serving in the Obama administration, has been viewed as a natural fit for the position and as a seasoned politician who enjoys goodwill on Capitol Hill. He said earlier this year that in addition to rejoining the climate agreement, which Biden has called a priority for his first day in office, the next step is “to lift ambition significantly, on a global basis.” President Donald Trump quit the accord.

“America will soon have a government that treats the climate crisis as the urgent national security threat it is,” Kerry said Monday. “I’m proud to partner with the President-elect, our allies, and the young leaders of the climate movement to take on this crisis as the President’s Climate Envoy.”

Now see that in just this past August, Kerry was on the Climate refugee bandwagon big time!

Watch carefully what they are doing!  This isn’t about taking care of some impoverished migrants. Kerry is linking the COVID ‘crisis’ to Global Warming which is all part of the ‘Great Reset.’

I hear from many people that they can’t quite visualize the worst potential impacts of climate change.

I wonder if living through 2020 will change that. As we’ve all seen firsthand, that one threat — an insidious virus — can mean everything from fatalities spiking in just weeks, to food and grocery shortages, to schools closing, to everyone (well, almost everyone) wearing a mask just to go outside and check their mail.

If we don’t act on climate change in this decade, future decades will look and feel a lot like 2020. And one of the most dystopian realities we’d see would be the exponential increase in something we’re already seeing in isolated cases: climate migration.

Refugee lobbying consortium hires Podesta Group

The Refugee Council USA, a group of ‘non-profits’, it is revealed, paid Podesta $100,000 to influence Congress.  Was that your taxpayer dollars they used?

RCUSA the lobbying arm of the nine federal resettlement contractors*** and the same group that marched for CAIR in Washington recently hired the lobbying firm—Podesta Group-–to influence certain Senators to continue their advocacy for refugee resettlement/immigration reform and to get Congress to give them more payola!

Senate Holds Hearing On Extending Term Of FBI Director Mueller
Rubio and Graham, two of the Senators the Podesta Group was hired to keep on the Open Borders (more refugees!) bandwagon by supplying them with talking points to counter YOU!

This news is a shocker and an indication that the refugee industry is much sleazier than I dreamed even after ten years of following their maneuvers to change America by changing the people.

 

Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart has uncovered an internal agreement (between the group that carries the name of Clinton’s campaign manager and also includes someone in its leadership that came from the Jeb Bush team) that is simply stunning.

For those of you working (on your own dime and your own time) in small ‘pockets of resistance’ in your local communities, look what you are up against!

But take heart! Things may be unraveling and maybe the swamp is starting to be drained after all!

Here are Leahy’s opening paragraphs:

The lobbying arm of the refugee resettlement industry hired the Podesta Group earlier this year to deliver “talking points” that provide “cover” to Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and other pro-amnesty Republican members of Congress when discussing the issue of refugee resettlement with the media and other Republicans.

The Refugee Council USA (RCUSA), the “trade organization” of refugee resettlement agencies who receive almost all of their funding from the federal government, paid the Podesta Group $100,000 to lobby Congress in 2017, according to Open Secrets.

RCUSA describes itself as “a coalition of 25 U.S.-based non-governmental organizations . . . dedicated to refugee protection, welcome, and excellence in the U.S. refugee resettlement program.”

The Podesta Group “can help RCUSA develop messaging that concedes the political dynamic that gave rise to the [Trump Executive Order reducing refugee arrivals and increasing vetting], that acknowledges the felt security risk, and that reframes its core asks in a way that does not alienate Republicans but gives them an incentive to collaborate,” the proposal submitted by the Podesta Group in March of this year to the RCUSA for the engagement stated….. Leahy continues:

“Our primary targets will be Republicans–and some key Democrats who work well across the aisle–who sit on committees of jurisdiction and whose responsibilities include refugee and asylum policies,” the proposal added.

Targets specifically identified in the proposal included, among others, Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), all on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Now check out the proposal from Podesta.  Gotta keep the federal money flowing to the refugee contractors (that is why the focus on the Appropriations Committee).

I can’t emphasize this enough!  Rather than being discouraged by the money and power lining up against you (as this news shows), in ‘Pockets of Resistance’ you are making great headway in educating your fellow citizens about this secretive and sleazy process called refugee resettlement!  Don’t give up now!

With a slowdown in refugee arrivals and thus a slowdown in payments from the Treasury to these contractors, the system (keep fingers crossed!) may be on the verge of self-destructing. [Update May 2020: the system is alive and well and federal money is still flowing to the contractors.]

***These are the nine federal refugee contractors that make-up the core of the Refugee Council USA.  We have written about RCUSA often, click here.  In addition to their march for CAIR and more Muslim migration to America recently, here is another recent mention.  As I reported just two days ago, they alerted the contractors to NOT give out R & P Abstracts (plans for resettlement to your towns and cities) to taxpaying citizens.

Think Progress complains about Russian facebook pages that mention refugees

Don’t get me wrong, I am not defending the Russian government (or Russian anybody). But, I do want to say that this is rich (and it makes me laugh!)—Soros/Podesta‘s Think Progress apparently doesn’t like the competition from skilled propagandists when propaganda is Soros’s greatest asset!

The implication in the story is that these “fake” Russian facebook pages are promoting fake news. We know in one case, the Starbuck’s story, there is nothing fake about the news. It happened. So, I guess Think Progress is really just furious (and jealous!) about the way the news is presented in order to have the most impact.

How Russia’s Facebook ads inflamed America’s social tensions

Gun rights and same-sex marriage. Secession movements and refugee intake. Racial tensions and, of all things, dog lovers.

These are a smattering of the topics unearthed so far from Russia’s fake Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

Facebook, as it has over the past few months, remains hesitant to publicly identify the accounts they’ve since pulled down. But the handful of accounts reporters have uncovered thus far highlight how Russian actors viewed the types of schisms running through the U.S., and how best to incense, provoke, and enrage millions of followers.

The Russian “Secured Borders” account, which attempted to host an anti-immigrant rally in Twin Falls, Idaho, pushed material regularly regurgitating nativist talking points. According to a search through Google Cache, the “Secured Borders” page was fraught with the types of anti-migrant language familiar to the current administration.

The site appeared to espouse a special ire for refugees, especially those from the Middle East. One post from August claimed a link between increased refugee resettlement and higher rates of tuberculosis, complaining that refugees were allowed to be hired at Starbucks (which the site referred to as “Shariabucks”).

(LOL! Shariabucks! Clever!)

We reported on the research about the increasing rates of TB especially high in San Diego, and the special hiring event at Starbucks!  It happened.  So what is Think Progress‘s beef, that this real news was presented by Russian facebookers in a format that would get people’s attention?

Does the Soros Open Borders propaganda machine have some serious competition from sites like these? I think so!

US shuts the door on refugees, wails 'Think Progress'

…..and it is confirmed by their go-to commenter—Mark Hetfield of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society— who says of Trump’s ceiling that it is “lower than it’s been in history.”
But, what he doesn’t say is that even at 50,086 (the number this morning), that is not the lowest ADMISSIONS number in the history of the program as we pointed out here (and will show you below).
Here is Think Progress (John Podesta):

“We’ve reached a low point in U.S. history today with the Trump administration setting and enforcing a refugee admission ceiling which is lower than it’s been in history,” HIAS President and CEO Mark Hetfield told ThinkProgress in a phone interview Wednesday.

I just told you two days ago (something Think Progress will never tell you), that groups like HIAS are quasi-government agencies paying CEO salaries at major corporation levels. Hetfield makes $358,718 (doing well by doing good!) annually. HIAS, a nonprofit organization that provides humanitarian assistance and aid to refugees, has long helped refugees resettle in the United States. Hetfield was immensely displeased that at least one HIAS client, who was approved as a refugee, will be unable to come in despite having a grandmother in the country. Others will also see their flight reservations cancelled.

“We’re at least grateful the Supreme Court prevented Trump from fully implementing his mean spirited executive order and that refugees will [with] ties to US will continue to be admitted,” Hetfield said. “It’s an embarrassment for our country to be taking in so few refugees when the needs are so great.”

Think Progress goes on to perpetuate a massive misunderstanding claiming that countries like Turkey (Lebanon and Jordan) take in more refugees than does the rich (mean-spirited) US.

Those countries do not take refugees permanently (another thing that Think Progress will never tell its readers!)

Those countries would never let large numbers of other ethnic groups (Iraqis, Syrians, Somalis, Pakistanis, Palestinians etc.) become PERMANENT VOTING CITIZENS.  In our refugee program (the largest in the world even at 50,000) we do, and so….

….we are the number one country in the world admitting refugees for life!

Let’s look at historically low admissions levels (see charts here).

There were 4 years when we admitted fewer than Trump’s 50,086:

FY02: 27,070

FY03: 28,117

FY06: 41,279

FY07: 48,281

And, since the SCOTUS is allowing refugees with “bona fide” relationships to enter above Trump’s 50,000 ceiling, here are some other years that might easily be surpassed before September 30th (the end of FY17):

FY87: 58,863

FY04: 52,858

FY05: 53,813

And these next two are THE Man’s (Obama’s years):

FY11: 56,424

FY12: 58,238

I’m guessing that Trump will, in the end, be admitting in the low 60,000s, close to the average for the last ten years.   The big question is—what will he propose for FY18???

This election will determine the fate of our nation. With Donald Trump we have a chance, and it is only that. Over the past few years we have learned to our shock and dismay just how corrupt and out of touch our elected officials really are. They have an agenda and it does not include the American people, except in extracting as much of our resources as possible. They are a powerful force. I don’t know if Donald Trump can overcome it, but I do know that no one else can.

Message from Ann: For all you women out there who think you are voting for the first female president of the United States, it will be this diabolical duo who will be running the country—John Podesta and Bill Clinton—while Hillary naps.

Hillary Clinton personifies everything that is worst in Washington. In addition to being bottomlessly corrupt, she is an extreme leftist. She has worked and socialized with DC’s biggest extremists, for example her former boss, Robert Borosage, founder of the anti-American Center for National Security Studies, and former director of the subversive Institute for Policy Studies, and John Podesta, a calculating, committed hardcore leftist, who, like Hillary, is also serially corrupt. Her good friend VA Governor Terry McAuliffe has just pardoned 60,000 criminals so they can vote (for Hillary of course). This is vote fraud.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for an entrenched criminal class that must be routed out if our nation is to survive.

Despite his sometimes uncouth nature, Donald Trump’s message has resonated with everyday Americans because it is everyday Americans whose lives are being destroyed by the DC progressives. No other candidate in recent history – including Reagan – has so clearly spoken to our widespread angst about our country’s future. There are few, if any politicians, that actually grasp the reality. Trump does, and has articulated a comprehensive response that misses nothing.

He has issued a Contract with the American Voter to clean up Washington, DC. His first day in office Trump pledges to rescind all of Obama’s destructive executive orders, including those on guns and especially the border. He promises to repeal and replace Obamacare. He promises to abolish Common Core. His policy positions are clearly articulated, detailed and honest.

On the other hand, if you can convince yourself that Hillary’s mind-boggling corruption is not disqualifying, then perhaps her insane, misplaced policy prescriptions are. While our military sinks to the lowest level of readiness since WWI, our borders overflow with illegal aliens and terrorists, our individual rights are being stripped right and left, Hillary promises to expand upon those Obama policies that got us here in the first place. There is a great chart linked here that compares some of Trump’s positions with Clinton’s. It doesn’t pretend to be unbiased.
