Flint, Michigan, an economically troubled city, to get 100 Middle Eastern refugees

Dumb or evil to (secretly!) introduce more poverty and cultural tension to an economically struggling city? But that is where we are these days with the completely out of control UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.

Secret plans!

Readers! Sorry to keep nagging, but you have got to get the planning documents called Reception and Placement Abstracts (R & P Abstracts) from your local resettlement contractor or use your state’s public information law to get them out of your state refugee coordinator (all state coordinators are listed here). I know you probably find it beyond belief that a supposed non-profit ‘religious’ charity is making plans (with the federal government) for your town while you, and sometimes even your elected officials, are completely left in the dark.

Here is what we are learning about troubled Flint, Michigan from Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart:

Breitbart News has learned that a resettlement agency funded by the Obama administration plans to send 100 Iraqi and Syrian refugees to Flint, Michigan, in the fiscal year that begins next month on October 1.

But that plan appears to violate a clause in the federal Refugee Act of 1980 which requires the federal government and director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement to consult with local as well as state governments prior to the placement of any refugees within their boundaries.

“At this point it appears city leaders have not been informed of the details regarding this matter,” a spokesperson for Mayor Karen Weaver and the city of Flint tells Breitbart News.

It’s the same story with the government of Genesee County, in which Flint is located.

“As of this time the Genesee County Board of Commissioners has not been notified of any settlement of 100 refugees from Middle East – South Asia,” Jamie Curtis, Chairman of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, tells Breitbart News through a spokesperson.

Flint, a city of 100,000, is in the midst of a financial and public health crisis …

According to this FY 2017 abstract submitted to the Department of State by Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, which operates in Michigan as Samaritas, the resettlement agency plans to bring 100 Iraqi and Syrian refugees to Flint Michigan in the twelve month fiscal year that begins in less than three weeks. The document was obtained in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

With all the financial and public health problems the city of Flint, Michigan faces, critics are wondering if it makes any sense to force 100 Syrian and Iraqi refugees upon the citizens of Flint, Michigan.

Have a look at some of those and note how the numbers coming to each town are going up each year. So if they tell you it will be only 50 the first year, know that it could be 150 the next year. Lancaster, PA, where its schools are struggling now, is up to 900 a year because no one ever complained!

Your homework!

Everyone in America (we have thousands who read RRW around the world) call your state coordinator today and first ask (nicely) to receive the R & P Abstracts for your state. (Exempt from homework are you folks in Michigan!) If you get a no, or you get a runaround then next week call your Congressman and two US Senators offices and tell them you are being stonewalled and you want them to get the document for you.
BTW, the state coordinator may act dumb and say he/she doesn’t know what you are talking about. Well, use one of those from Michigan or the one I wrote about from Wisconsin, here, and tell them that is the document you want for your state.
In the meantime, learn how to do state freedom of information requests where you live and get those rolling out next week when it is clear you are going to get no help from the state coordinator or from your Washington representatives.
When you have obtained the document, try to interest a local reporter in writing about it, or you write a letter to the editor and tell your fellow citizens how many refugees are coming your way starting in 2 weeks from tomorrow.
Remember they have been getting away with changing America by changing its people by using secrecy to seed American neighborhoods!

Slow the flow of impoverished refugees to Fargo, ND say county commissioners

Here we go again, yet another story of a city overloaded (housing shortages, social services strained), but the main reason I’m posting this is to point out their (DOS and its contractors) little trick about bringing the family over later.

lss-north-dakota — They can’t cut back in North Dakota because LSS has a big brand spanking new building to pay for. (I checked it out on my travels through the Dakotas this summer)

With all those new seed communities being developed now: Rutland, VT, Missoula, MT, Charleston, WV, Northhampton, MA, etc. we will ultimately hear the same story. You see they get an ethnic ‘community’ established and then the contractors give you the sob story about how they must reunite families. If you squawk at that point you are a mean and hateful person.
This is how seeding/colonizing works! They put so-called “free cases” in Bismark, but next year they will bring the relatives of that first group!

FARGO — By a wide margin, the Fargo area takes in more refugees than any other place in North Dakota.

Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, Minn., have received a total of 6,220 refugees since 1997 — over three times the number who arrived in Grand Forks and Bismarck combined, according to Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota (LSS), the nonprofit group hired by the federal government to resettle refugees in North Dakota and Moorhead.

Cass County Commissioner Chad Peterson brought up this discrepancy at a meeting of refugee resettlement officials on Thursday, Sept. 8. He told the group he’d like to see refugees spread more proportionately across the state, given that Cass County’s social service system doesn’t have enough money to meet their needs.

“Right now, our social services is overburdened to the nth degree,” he said. “There is a substantive burden spent when we have folks in this quantity coming in that make the lower salaries.”

Shirley Dykshoorn, who oversees refugee resettlement for LSS, said one reason so many refugees land in the Fargo area is the availability of housing and support services, as well as job and education opportunities.

Another factor is that the Fargo area has the state’s biggest ethnic community, and a large amount of LSS resettlement work involves reuniting incoming refugees with relatives already living here. “Family ties help remove or reduce isolation, and support the families,” Dykshoorn said, noting that refugees without ties are mostly being sent to Bismarck.

Scherling (county commissioner) agreed that western North Dakota could offer opportunities for refugees. Though, she acknowledged that finding affordable housing there is difficult and added that the same issue exists in Cass County. “Affordable housing is tough everywhere,” she said.

So what else is new! A shortage of housing isn’t stopping them in Missoula, MT or Buffalo, NY either.
By the way, the parent organization of LSS North Dakota is 95% federally funded.

Fargo: Lutheran federal refugee contractor kept information on active TB from public

In yet another in a series of investigative reports on Tuberculosis, and diseases generally, in the refugee population coming to America, Michael Patrick Leahy now reports that in Fargo, North Dakota the lead contractor bringing refugees to that state was not forthcoming about information one assumes they would know—-how many of the refugees they resettle there have latent and active TB.

Dr. John Baird, Health Officer for the Fargo Cass Public Health Department in North Dakota, confirms to Breitbart News that the agency, which serves all of Cass County, has diagnosed and treated four refugees with active tuberculosis (TB) between 2012 and 2015.

Baird’s confirmation of active TB among refugees in the Fargo community comes barely a month after a spokesperson for Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota (LSSND), the resettlement agency hired by the federal government to operate the program in North Dakota, denied that any refugees it has resettled in North Dakota have been diagnosed with active TB.

“We have a good working relationship with NDDoH [North Dakota Department of Health], and have not encountered any issues pertaining to active TB disease among refugees,” an LSSND spokesperson told Fargo’s local NBC television affiliate, KVLY, as reported by the station’s Valley News Live program on May 16.

“Based on Dr. Baird’s statement, the LSS statement to Valley News Live in May was factually inaccurate at best, and an intentional deception at worst,” Breitbart News said in an email to LSSND, asking for a comment to explain their statement that they “have not encountered any issues pertaining to active TB disease among refugees.”

I continue to wonder if community members who sign up with the contractor (LSS in this case) to help refugees get settled are given any instructions in how to avoid exposing themselves to any communicable diseases or parasites. Does anyone know? Has anyone who volunteered for a resettlement agency been briefed on health issues?

On the Bhutanese refugees

Leahy mentions that the large numbers of Bhutanese refugees (and some Somalis) come from countries with high levels of TB. For new readers, the Bhutanese (not! Muslims) are really ethnic Nepalis who had been expelled from Bhutan when that country sought to keep Bhutan for true Bhutanese people. The refugees’ (we call Bhutanese) original country is Nepal. Nepal wouldn’t take them back so they lived in UN camps on the border of Nepal for 20 years or so.
We had no national interest that would lead us to get involved in this refugee situation…but we did!
In 2007, the George W. Bush Administration said (heck yeh!) we would help the UN by cleaning out those camps and ‘welcoming’ (the original number was somewhere around 60,000) of them to live in your towns. I bet we are now up to 80,000 who have been transported on your dime from UN camps to your cities. And, the camps are still not cleaned out because more arrive at the camps looking for a plane ticket to the west!
We have a huge (and I mean huge!) archive on the Bhutanese here at RRW (find more than you ever wanted to know). The big medical issue that brought them to the attention of the federal government and the CDC was not TB, but the extremely high suicide rate after resettlement to the US. Why are they killing themselves asked the CDC and the ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement)? Could it be culture shock?
Endnote: Just now I had a look at LSSND’s website. So tell me why a Lutheran non-profit group is now in partnership to build low income housing in North Dakota. See here. Forget the humanitarian BS, this is all a money making racket! Lutherans get paid by the feds to bring in the refugees and then they make money building them housing!

Heads-up Aberdeen, South Dakota! New resettlement site being proposed

Update: State Department admits today that the Syrian Sunni surge to America is on, and readers that is why you will see many more stories like this one from South Dakota—they need to find places to put them!
People ask me all the time, how will I know if my town is next? The only way you will know is by picking up little tidbits of information like this from South Dakota Public Radio. Hat tip: Joanne

Mike mayor — Aberdeen Mayor Mike Levsen: ““We need workers, and we certainly would be glad to have more friends and neighbors and more children in our schools and more cultures that we can learn from.” [And you get to pay for it all while big business gets cheap labor!]

There is no organized advanced planning for the secretive UN/US State Department resettlement sites.
There is no proper notice to communities. There will be no input from you, the taxpayer paying for all of this. The process is one big free-for-all with federal contractors, like the Lutherans here, scrambling (especially now!) to find ‘welcoming’ communities with government subsidized housing as the Obama refugee surge has moved into high gear.

And, as you read and listen to the public radio story, I want you to think about this!
As infuriating as it is, it is one thing to sign the new refugees up for their “services” (aka welfare, food stamps, education, medical care), but now we see an expanding need to follow previously resettled refugees around the country as they move on their own to make sure they have a federal contractor to hold their hands to get their “services” wherever they move!

Do they ever stop being ‘clients’ of federal contractors?

And, notice that when “integration” is discussed (not ASSIMILATION) that integration seems to be linked somehow to their “services”— to their welfare? What! no integration without a connection to the taxpayer teat?
From South Dakota Public Radio:

South Dakota could eventually have another direct resettlement site for refugees. A refugee is someone who has been forced to flee his or her country because of persecution, war, or violence. Currently any refugees who migrate to South Dakota arrive in Sioux Falls or Huron. A number of them choose to secondarily migrate to Aberdeen, and officials are considering making that city a direct resettlement site.

Tim Jurgens is the State Refugee Coordinator. He directs the Center for New Americans with Lutheran Social Services. Jurgens says he and others are trying to figure out the number of refugee eligible individuals that currently live in Aberdeen, to see if there’s a need to make it a direct resettlement site.

“Currently if they secondarily migrate into Aberdeen, so they arrive somewhere else, and they secondarily choose to move, it creates a bit of an issue,” Jurgens says. “Because when folks secondarily migrate, you don’t necessarily have all of the information you want or need for effective integration. Secondly, the funding is not necessarily going to be there immediately to assist the community. And then third, it’s just that you don’t know what services they’ve already achieved or already had, so you have to really restart that process for appropriate integration from a delayed time frame. So those would be the advantages to being a direct resettlement site.”

In summary, they can have a much faster delivery system of your money to refugees if they have an office in your town!

By the way, the Lutheran Social Services office in Huron is within 100 miles of Aberdeen, so there is no reason to set up a satellite office!

As a Wilson-Fish state (see TN close to filing a States’ rights lawsuit) there is no role for elected representatives of the people in South Dakota, decisions are made about who is resettled there by Lutheran Social Services and the Obama Administration.

Just now as I had a look at other news here at RRW about South Dakota I was reminded of the 2014 Iraqi refugee sex trafficking case, here.
