Foreign Policy mag gives me credit for helping make the word “assimilation” in vogue with the Trump Admin

I thought Foreign Policy magazine was supposed to be a credible, thoughtful place where foreign policy eggheads debated the big issues of the day. I guess not!

In a story entitled:

The Trump Administration Wants Refugees to Fit In or Stay Out

writer Lauren Wolfe says this (below) about RRW (and the Center for Immigration Studies) showing a complete lack of understanding of the on-going debate raised to new heights about the use of the words “assimilation” and “integration” during Obama’s tenure.

This is a post I wrote to explain it to my readers. Although it began before Obama, Obama’s open borders agitators were bent on getting the word “assimilation” out of use throughout the government. Trump has just brought it back. If Ms. Wolfe is giving me credit, I’ll take it!

(You see how these Leftwing ‘journalists’ write, and Foreign Policy goes along with it, using hot button words to describe me, and then she doesn’t even link to the post I wrote on the subect, so readers won’t see what I did say!)

Indeed, the language in the directive is suspiciously similar to the language used online by white supremacists and members of the alt-right, including Ann Corcoran, who in June 2013 lamented on her nationalist website, Refugee Resettlement Watch, that the term “‘assimilation’ is no longer a part of government lexicon and does not even occur in dozens of recent reports and papers generated about refugee resettlement. The operative term in vogue now is ‘integration’ with its clear intent of maintenance of ethnic identity.” And it’s not just that Trump’s determination echoes the language of racists and hate groups — such groups seem to have played a direct role in this language modification. The Sept. 29 White House fact sheet cites as a source the Center for Immigration Studies, an organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center classifies as a hate group because of the “fear-mongering misinformation” it publishes about immigrants.

Do you know why she is so angry?

Hint: It is not about great-grand-pa!

She is angry because the Left has always controlled the language and they can’t stand it when we demonstrate that the jig is up!

New York Times spins Twin Falls rape case story

Immigration reporter Caitlin Dickerson writing at the New York Times magazine pretends to write the definitive story on what is happening to Twin Falls, Idaho.

“How Fake News turned a small town upside down”

Her story is huge, but missed a lot, either on purpose, or possibly her editors skewed the story she submitted.

I have no intention of taking her on point by point (it would take all day). But, I wanted you to know this is out there and to say just a couple of things….

First, Chobani Yogurt lawyers attempted to silence many media outlets, not just Breitbart and Infowars. (Although most will never admit it.)

shawn bariger — Ms. Dickerson says of Mayor Barigar: “His even keel and the air of sophistication he picked up while living in a comparatively big city have made him popular politically.”

Secondly, she spends an inordinate amount of time on Lee Stranahan, a former Breitbart reporter impugning his character and motives, but she only touches on the mayor (in glowing terms) who played an instrumental role in luring Chobani Yogurt (which brags about its huge refugee workforce) to Twin Falls in the first place in his leadership role at the Chamber of Commerce. (Not mentioned by Dickerson).

And, finally, she sees nothing wrong with the local newspaper editor’s role in driving his Leftist view of the world by attempting to coerce elected city officials to write opinion pieces supporting refugee resettlement.

Dickerson:

Part of the reason a fear of Islam has persisted in Twin Falls is because the local leadership refused to defuse it, according to Matt Christensen, 36, the editor of The Times-News. While Brown wrote articles that sorted out the truth about the Fawnbrook case, Christensen was publishing commentary that castigated the people who were spreading falsehoods. He told me that he had closed-door meetings with city officials, in which he asked them to write guest editorials doing the same, but none of them did. Christensen suspected that they were afraid of one of the most reliable political dangers in the region, the same force that leads would-be Democrats there to register as Republicans: being outflanked on the right is the quickest way to lose your job.

“Behind closed doors, they would all tell you they were pro-refugee, and we [Who is we? —ed] wanted them to step forward and make that declaration in a public arena, and it just never really happened,” he told me. “That was frustrating to us especially at the beginning because it really felt like the newspaper was out there all alone.” He continued: “There were days where we felt like, Godammit, what are we doing here? We write a story and it’s going to reach 50,000 people. Breitbart writes a story and it’s going to reach 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 million people. What kind of a voice do we have in this debate?” [Obviously Matt has the NY Times now!—ed]

This isn’t the first time we have written about Christensen and his blatant and shameful effort to use his position as editor of a small town paper to push his world view.

I contend that the number one purveyor of fake news in all of this is The Times-News!

As much as the New York Times would like to put this story to rest, they haven’t and they won’t. Someone should write a book about Twin Falls as a microcosm of how American cities are being changed forever to satisfy the cheap labor desires of huge global corporations. Twin Falls has it all!

(And, if it is true that Breitbart pulled back reporter Stranahan, they made a huge error in judgement!). Again, Twin Falls has it all!

Looks like deep state bureaucrats are blabbing to the New York Times on refugee ceiling issue

If Donald Trump continues to make no move to replace the top levels in the US State Department with people supportive of him, he has more than three years of this c*** ahead of him.

Here are some snips from the New York Times yesterday:

WASHINGTON — President Trump plans to cap refugee admissions at 45,000 over the next year, according to current and former government officials briefed on the decision, setting a historically low limit on the number of people who can resettle in the United States after fleeing persecution in their own countries.

Blabbermouth bureaucrats:

Administration officials plan to inform senior lawmakers of the decision on Wednesday, according to the officials, who insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to pre-empt a formal announcement.

Mr. Trump’s decision follows a fierce internal debate among senior members of his administration. Military and foreign policy officials pressed for resettling more refugees as a national security and moral imperative, while other top officials, led by Stephen Miller, his top policy adviser, and backed by John F. Kelly, his chief of staff and former secretary of homeland security, advocated slashing the number to as low as 15,000 based on concerns about cost and safety.

But Rex W. Tillerson, the secretary of state, ultimately lowered his recommended limit to 45,000, the people said, and that was the number presented to Mr. Trump.

The White House declined to comment on the decision or on the deliberations surrounding it.

Linda hartke 3 — Of course the NYT will never tell you that Hartke’s Lutherans are paid by the head to resettle refugees and that her organization is 96-97% funded by you, the taxpayer.

I’ve been telling you, the refugee contractors are going to scream bloody murder over 45,000, so Trump should have gone for some really significant number—heck, even zero!

Refugee assistance groups reacted with outrage to the anticipated cap, calling it a departure from the American tradition of welcoming immigrants in times of need.

Partner! Partner! (grrrrr!) Does the NYT intentionally lie or are their reporters just lazy?

NYT reporters JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS and MIRIAM JORDAN*** continue….

“Today a dark shadow has passed across the great American legacy and promise of protecting refugees,” said Linda Hartke, the president of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, one of nine agencies — most of them faith-based — that partner with the United States government to resettle refugees. “The threat of a drastically low ceiling on refugee arrivals in the U.S. is contrary to American values and the spirit of generosity in American churches and communities.”

Just when I think I can’t do this anymore, I see the NYT write this deception (by omission) about the contractors and it energizes me to continue to get the truth out to you.

Here is the latest financial information on the refugee agencies (federal contractors) whose budgets are based on the number of refugees (aka “clients”) admitted each year. As the numbers decline, so too do their federally-funded budgets!

BTW, the outraged Hartke is pulling down a salary/benefits/related income package of over $300,000 a year—doing very well by doing good!

(That is a government-funded salary larger than a US Senator or a Supreme Court Justice makes annually!)

Finally, here, toward the end of the article, is the PR stunt letter I told you about in my previous post:

On Monday, 34 senators — all Democrats except for John McCain of Arizona and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — wrote to Mr. Trump pleading for a cap higher than 50,000, calling the refugee program “a critical pillar or our national security and our foreign policy.”

Ignorance at the Washington Post is stunning

What! They don’t read RRW every day?

I’ve said it on many occasions but it is frightening to know something about an issue and then see flat-out ignorance about it from people who should have the facts….

But, I suppose when it comes to the Washington Post it might just be that they do know the facts, but are purposefully spewing FAKE NEWS, like this line in their pro-more-refugees-anti-Trump editorial (Trump flirts with a new age of American timidity) a few days ago.

After taking a whack at Stephen Miller they say this:

The stated rationales for further refugee cuts — concerns over terrorists sneaking in, and the costs involved — are not defensible. In fact, both the Obama and Trump administrations have tightened vetting for refugees, who are now the subject of exhaustive background checks despite the fact that very few terrorist attacks, in the United States or Europe, have been carried out by refugees. As for the cost, most is borne by private resettlement agencies.

Nevermind for now, that we, and many others, have chronicled the number of refugee terrorists (or wannabe terrorists caught before they acted) in the refugee population in Europe and here. It is that last sentence that rockets me through the roof!

After years of, not just me, but many other investigators exposing how much money the “private resettlement agencies”*** are paid OUT OF THE US TREASURY to resettle refugees, how can they possibly promote such a falsehood!

***These are the federal contractors paid by the head for refugee “clients” they place (secretively!) in your towns and cities. Congress should be investigating how they are using the millions of federal dollars they receive annually.

And, as long as they are running the program on your dime along with their side job of political agitation and community organizing, there can never be reform of the USRAP!

Reporters just too lazy to get their facts when bashing Trump is the goal!

I know, and you are saying, so what else is new!

Needless to say, Yahoo News (here) is carrying the federal contractors’ water on the issue of the Presidential determination due any day on how many impoverished third worlders we would admit starting on October first.

I don’t want to go over the whole Yahoo story, and if you saw my post this morning, you got the gist of it. (LOL! You might want to check it out for the comments!).

But, this one paragraph made me so mad, I knew I wouldn’t sleep:

Even after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, a time of clear national emergency, President George W. Bush set the year’s cap at 80,000 and only paused the system for two months while the country got back on its feet. [They conveniently leave out the extremely low admission numbers that followed.—ed]

You see how they skew the facts to put Donald Trump in the worst light—he is worse even than that Bush they all hated so much, and that is saying something.

Here are the facts about the numbers after 9/11 (couldn’t reporter Flaherty look them up, or did she simply take the word of the advocates who are paid by the head to resettle refugees!)

Look at this data from the 2007 ORR Annual Report to Congress a chart (p.4) showing CEILINGS (aka CAPS) and numbers actually admitted going back to 1983…..

First, that 2001 ceiling of 80,000 was set by Bill Clinton in September of 2000. The 2001 fiscal year began on October 1, 2000. Bush didn’t take office until January 2001.

Yes, Bush suspended the program for a few months (fear of terrorists among the refugees?). (So the precedent for suspending the program already exists.) Then he did set the ceiling at 70,000 the following year.

But what do you see?

In the two subsequent years Bush admitted only 27,070 and 28,117 respectively.

But, Trump is a monster for admitting over 50,000 this year?

What do you see? The sainted Obama only bumped up his ceiling in the final year of his presidency and even he had two of his eight years in the 50 thousands.

So how about a little honesty from the media from time to time?
