I have so much to do on the farm today, I shouldn’t take a minute to post this, but it made me laugh and I hope it perks you up too!
Read this, and imagine now how the Leftists (normally eagerly “welcoming” refugees) must be reacting to the news that a pristine area with many national parks might be a great place to temporarily house 10,000 Syrians!  The resistance to resettling Syrians is not just in the US, but all over the western world citizens have had enough.

While the Conservatives (Høyre) and Frp oppose the idea of accepting 10,000 refugees for next two years due to hosting capacity in municipalities, FrP politician Christian Eikeland proposes an extra ordinary solution.

– If the Parliament accepts that Norway should accept 10,000 refugees by rejecting the capacity argument, then we can create a refugee camp in Svalbard, says Eikeland to NRK.

He notes that the camp can be used to host refugees from Syria for a temporary period till other munuicipalities offer a place.

Christian Eikeland is aware of the challenges related to the harsh weather and social conditions in Svalbard, but still believes it is possible.

Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. Situated north of mainland Europe, it is about midway between continental Norway and the North Pole.

The archipelago features an Arctic climate, although with significantly higher temperatures than other areas at the same latitude. The flora take advantage of the long period of midnight sun to compensate for the polar night. Svalbard is a breeding ground for many seabirds, and also features polar bears, reindeer, the Arctic fox, and certain marine mammals. Seven national parks and twenty-three nature reserves cover two-thirds of the archipelago, protecting the largely untouched, yet fragile, natural environment. Approximately 60% of the archipelago is covered with glaciers, and the islands feature many mountains and fjords.

Can you say death wish!

The day after the Norwegian Christian Democratic Party (KrF) congress said a resounding yes to accept 10,000 Muslim refugees from Syria, the party discussed how the country should manage to take care of all of these, plus the 5,000 who already are waiting in reception centers.

Welcome to Norway! We want to give you all sorts of taxpayer-funded stuff!

The Party decided that the refugees should get two-year introduction jobs with wages subsidies from the state, parental guidance course, right to daycare for all asylum children and increased government subsidies for resettlement.

The Christian Party is a support party for the Norwegian government, which consist of the Progress Party (FrP) and the Conservative Party (Høyre).

Norwegians should open their homes to them as well!

Earlier this week, the Christian Party also suggested that Norwegians should open their own homes to traumatized Muslim refugees from Syria.

One has to wonder why the Christian Party hasn’t received news of the ongoing Christian genocide by the same Muslims in the Middle East.

To American readers:

Don’t forget, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has 11,000 picked out for the US right now, and US resettlement contractors want us to take 65,000 Syrians by the end of Obama’s term in office.

Of the just over 800 we have admitted so far, 92% are Muslim Syrians.  There are only 43 Christians in the group of 800 plus resettled in American towns up to May 1.  Slightly over 700 are Sunni Muslims.

I don’t think this news surprises anyone, but what does it mean as this generation grows up—not just for Norway, but throughout Europe and the world for people without jobs and ultimately nothing to do all day?

Yesterday I happened to catch a bit of a Glenn Beck interview I want to share with you.  Beck can be pretty doom and gloom, but what his guest was saying we can already see happening in parts of Europe.  So why do we think we will be spared the societal chaos?

First Norway, from The Local:

Three quarters of children of Somali origin in Norway now live in poverty, according to new figures from Statistics Norway, and numbers are on the rise.

Children from Somalia have been over-represented in the poverty statistics for years, but the proportion of children living in families with persistently low income has risen during the last year, Norwegian state broadcaster NRK has reported.

Other immigrant groups are also struggling, with more than half of poor children in Norway now living in immigrant households. Afghani and Iraqi groups also have high levels of poverty, yet none rival the Somalis.

Beck interview with Jason Calacanis on the not too distant future (a few decades!) as jobs become more scarce for a whole host of reasons.

We better be planning for this as we admit more and more low-skilled migrants to America.  This is Beck’s transcript that I cleaned up a little (What does the future hold? Glenn talks to entrepreneur and angel investor Jason Calacanis):

CALACANIS: You can see what it looks like. If you go to the Middle East, if you go to some of the under-performing European countries, referred to as the PIGS, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain, and you see what happens when 20-something-year-old males hit 20, 30, 40% unemployment, it means riots in the street. And it could mean people hanging out, drinking coffee all day, getting a stipend from the government, looking for somebody to hate for their lot in life. And having a lack of purpose in life is dangerous. Those are the people who can get picked up presently easily by people who are using religion to do bad things in the world and drugs and just whatever?

Beck then asked, well what do we do? You won’t like some of Calacanis’s answers! But, at least he has some ideas! However, he suggests that few in leadership positions are even thinking about it.

How about we save ourselves and start with not overloading America with new poverty!

Here is the news this week at The Local.  I will leave it to interested readers to sort out the machinations of the various political factions in Norway, but I wanted our readers to know this invasion of the ‘children’ that is plaguing America (see our archive on ‘unaccompanied minors here) is also threatening Europe.

There is no question in my mind that this world-wide phenomenon–‘poor’ children flooding to Western countries—is being ginned-up by the international Marxist/Communist Left.

The Local:

A senior figure in Norway’s anti-immigrant Progress Party has warned that a no-confidence motion against Justice Minister Anders Anundsen over refugee children, if carried out, would “automatically” cause the ruling right-wing coalition to collapse.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde, one of the most outspoken anti-immigration figures in Norwegian politics, issued his threat on Monday in an article published in the left-wing Klasskampen newspaper.

“If they submit a no-confidence motion against the Justice Minister it will automatically cause the whole government to collapse,” he warned. “If the Liberals keep harassing him in this way, there will not be a government sitting for much longer.”

Really, no kidding!

Norway has already had 10,000 asylum claims this year with 1,700 from Syria.

From The Nordic Page:

PST [Police Intelligence Service] is concerned that people with extreme militant connections in Syria come to Norway.

Talking to TV2, PST superintendent Svein Erik Molstad said their main concern is individuals misusing refugees and asylum system, and bring the violence in Syria to Norway.

Against this threat, PST has now established new procedures for closer cooperation with the Police Immigration Service (PU) and UDI. The goal is to tighten the selection of people to be granted residence in Norway.

See all of our coverage of Norway, here.  Unlike the Swedes, the Norwegian government does seem to be seeing the error of its ways and making adjustments.  But, they would be better off following the advice of Geert Wilders and cutting off all Muslim immigration.
