Idaho: Get ready for Somali refugees as county approves huge meatpacking plant near Boise

Update June 22:  Twin Falls, ID newspaper editor attempts to silence RRW, here.   And, Boise Mayor welcomes third world to Idaho, here.

One more piece of the puzzle has been found!  Idaho will ‘welcome’ refugees because big industries need cheap labor (for jobs Americans won’t do, right!).

BIG MEAT changing America! Filling those wide open spaces with a massive meat processing facility and bringing in refugee labor to fill the jobs! Watch for it!

Reader Dave saw our post yesterday about Twin Falls and the Chobani Yogurt plant, and now gives us hot news that Ada County is going to get a meatpacking giant!  Kuna, in Ada County, is less than a half an hour from Boise (the largest refugee resettlement site in Idaho).

We have for years told you that since Bill Clinton supplied the first refugees for Iowa meat processors (here), that BIG MEAT was changing rural America with the help of the UN/US State Department and its ‘religious’ resettlement contractors acting as head hunters for big business.

This is one of literally dozens of posts here at RRW about the role meatpackers are playing in changing America.
Remember readers, it is all about the money!
The Somalis, in particular, move around the country as meatpacking jobs become available, but surely the welcome wagon in Idaho expects Congolese, Burmese, and Bhutanese slave laborers to help fill the employment needs.  Mark my words, no matter how high the meatpacker says the salaries will be, they will be too low for anyone other than immigrants and refugees whose families are being subsidized through generous welfare gratis the US taxpayer!
Before reading on, see BOISE MAYOR ROLLS OUT WELCOME MAT FOR REFUGEES!  I want to barf every time I see our elected officials sell out America with the help of the refugee resettlement ‘do-gooders.’
From KTVB.com:

KUNA, Idaho — There are hundreds of new jobs coming to the Kuna area, thanks to the county’s approval of a meat processing facility near the small town.

Right now, there’s a field East of Kuna that’s home to some whistlepigs and a little bit of heavy machinery. But, business leaders say by next year, it will be home to 600 jobs.

Thursday night, along with his fellow Ada County Commissioners, Dave Case approved the building of a 380,000 square foot, $100 million meat processing plant. “Obviously, it will be good for the economy.”

They haven’t broken ground yet, but crews are already doing some prep work. It’s a joint venture between the J. R. Simplot Company and a Texas meat packing company, Caviness Beef Packers. Kuna Mayor Greg Nelson says it will be a huge economic boost for the bedroom community, which has few jobs of its own right now.

There is more, read on.    These county commissioners are dumb enough to think that lots of locals will find work cutting meat.  Or, maybe they know better and are lying to the public!
Neighbors and members of the public are worried about smells and environmental problems, but they will have a lot more to worry about when the Somalis come to town!
By the way, do you remember that Senator Jeff Sessions fingered the meatpackers in 2013 as one of the big industries lobbying for amnesty, here.
Endnote:  I would be interested to know who made a killing selling this land to the meat giant?

Lewiston, ME: As Somali population grows, police chief looks to hire Somali cops

While I was away, I missed posting this story from World Net Daily.  It is not just about the police chief’s new officer recruitment, but is a good summary of how Lewiston became the Little Mogadishu of New England.

If you would like to catch up on the happenings in Lewiston, including the case of the Somali kid who burned down an apartment building, see our huge archive, here, on the little city being colonized.
I’ve only snipped a small segment of the story by Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily, so be sure to read the whole thing:

“One place in Lewiston where that growing diversity is not evident is the city’s 82-member police force, but Chief Michael Bussiere aims to change that amid an intense national debate over race and policing,” Reuters reports.

The Lewiston-Auburn area now has a Somali population of 7,000, which accounts for nearly 10 percent of its total population. They arrived in the U.S. either as refugees or were born in the U.S. as children of refugees.

About a quarter of Bussiere’s officers will become eligible to retire in the next few years, so he figures to have quite a few openings.

“We have to think about who is living here now and who’s going to live here 10 years from now,” he told Reuters reporter Scott Malone.

“We need a department that is reflective of the demographics of the community it serves.”

Lewiston, a city of 36,000 people that spent decades struggling through job losses from mill closings and a shrinking population, may seem an unlikely place for such a rebirth given that Maine is among the whitest U.S. states, Malone reports.

But, according to U.S. Census data, 8.7 percent of Lewiston’s population identifies as black or African-American, a rate higher than any other city in the state and more than seven times the 1.2 percent state average.

And the Somali population is exploding not just in Lewiston. It has spread to nearby Auburn and Portland.

Many Somalis originally came as refugees to larger cities, Atlanta in particular, but then moved to Maine after hearing that it had a wider array of subsidized housing available and also was easier to get on the welfare rolls. This is called “secondary migration” when a refugee is assigned to one city but then moves elsewhere after arrival in the U.S.

Read it all, here.  And, again, see our archive on Lewiston.  There is probably enough there to write a book!
About the photo:  These Somali refugees sure do have the protest (community organizing) thing down pat, don’t they!

Sioux Falls, SD Somali community: No ISIS-wannabes hiding here!

There must be people getting nervous in the Sioux Falls, SD area about the large number of Somalis resettled there mostly with the help of the Lutherans (again!) and the possibility that ISIS will infiltrate their youth, or else we wouldn’t be seeing a story like this one.
Something is fishy about the African Community Center of Sioux Falls.***  The AP story here mentions them at the end.

Learn more about Justin Heinz’ report ‘Foreign Fighters’ here: http://securitydebrief.com/foreign-fighters/#axzz3bznzqJRd

From the Daily Republic (emphasis is mine):

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Nearly 2,000 Somalis live in Sioux Falls, yet members of the city’s large immigrant community say they aren’t nearly as concerned about potential recruiting for the so-called Islamic State group as those in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

That may be because the smaller numbers make it harder for those immigrants to be isolated, according to one expert. Much of the Somali population in Minneapolis never fully assimilates, partly because Somalis tend to congregate in closed communities, Justin Heinz, who co-authored a recent report exploring the ongoing terrorist recruitment and radicalization in the Twin Cities’ Somali community, told the Argus Leader.  [I’m guessing the message hasn’t reached South Dakota that the Obama Administration has banished the word ‘assimilate.’—ed]

A lack of assimilation probably is less likely in Sioux Falls because there aren’t any charter schools solely for Somali students, isolated Somali neighborhoods or replica malls, Heinz said.

Many of the Somali children in Sioux Falls are younger than those in the Twin Cities, according to Said Yusuf, a local businessman who’s originally from Somalia.  [So could we have a problem when the youngsters grow up?—ed]

“We’re a small community. Everyone knows each other. That is the difference here,” Yusuf’s wife, Sofia Mohamed, said.

“They were Muslim. They were interested in pushing back against Kenya and Ethiopia’s influence in their country. So there was this nationalistic pull,” he said. [This has been a standard talking point, but it is all wet—they go back and fight for Islam (radicalized in local American mosques) not for their homeland of Somalia against the Ethiopians. The fighting-for-their-country theory falls apart when you consider their attraction to ISIS.–ed]

At least a dozen Somali-Americans have left Minnesota for Syria, where al-Shabaab has shifted its focus after developing a relationship with ISIL, in the past 17 months, according to law enforcement officials.

“Once they stopped going to Somalia, parents and friends (in the Twin Cities) couldn’t understand the draw,” Hienz said. “Why go to Syria, where they have no ethnic or cultural ties? Why was there this shift in destination?” [Can you say jihad!—ed]

See more here.
*** The African Community Center of Sioux Falls says on its website that it is a non-profit ‘advocacy’ group and that there are 20,000 African immigrants in Sioux Falls! The organization is collecting money and applying for government grants yet they have apparently never filed a federal Form 990 tax return (or none is available for some unexplained reason).
Here they describe their “vision:”

African Community Center of Sioux Falls, INC provides advocacy, information, culturally specific support, and social services for the approximately 20,000 African immigrants currently living in Sioux Falls SD. Upon resettling in the US, Immigrants often suffer from poverty, lack of education, high unemployment, the inability to speak English, and difficulty integrating into American society. ACCS’s goal is to provide the support and guidance that immigrants need to overcome their barriers to stability & prosperity. [Suffering from poverty? High unemployment?  I thought the resettlement contractors brag about how self-sufficient the refugees quickly become?—ed]

No Form 990?  Are they even a legal non-profit, has anyone checked?
Looking for something to do?  If you live in South Dakota, please investigate this group as well as the local resettlement contractor there which is Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota.  What a surprise!  We just wrote about them yesterday, here.
By the way, Barbara Day, the State Department person in charge of resettling refugees in your towns and cities came from LSS (revolving door?).

Congress seeking answers about how many asylum seekers have terror connections

This is all I have and no time today to do a search.  Since the letter is not linked, it may be older news that the reporter at the Washington Free Beacon has just found and wishes to disseminate further.  No matter because it gives me an opportunity to link a story about how Somalis skip around the world and end up on our southern border.

Who is on the bus? Somalis caught at the border and moved to a detention facility. http://www.tpnn.com/2015/05/13/video-dhs-caught-moving-somali-muslim-illegals-into-california/

It was only ten days ago that we had a report of a busload of asylum-seeking Somalis being moved to a California detention center, here.
BTW, the difference between “refugees” and “asylum” seekers is that we pick up the refugees abroad and bring them here, and then sign them up for their social services.  Asylum seekers get here on their own steam and either enter illegally or overstay a visa and apply for asylum (claiming they will be persecuted if they return home).  Once granted asylum they are eligible for all the welfare goodies too!
Here is the Washington Free Beacon story:

Congress is demanding that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) release documents detailing how many foreigners seeking asylum in the United States have been found to have ties to terror groups, according to a recent letter sent to the agency by leading lawmakers.

The letter comes on the heels of revelations by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that at least 638 aliens seeking asylum in America have been found to have connections to terrorists.

This “recent disclosure regarding the numbers of aliens found to have a ‘credible fear’ in cases where the terrorism bar to asylum eligibility may have applied raised the concern that hundreds of known and suspected aliens with terrorist connections may be attempting to take advantage of our country’s asylum system,” according to the letter, sent by leaders of four House committees on national security, the judiciary, and government reform.

There is more, read it all.

One Somali’s great travel adventures

When I wrote this post, I mentioned the globe-trotting Somalis who pay huge sums of money to get to our southern border.  Reader Leo found this account of one Somali’s travel itinerary.
The first question I have is why didn’t the hero of this improbable tale ask for asylum in the first safe country he entered?  That is the internationally understood method to request asylum.  Instead, obviously with buckets of money, he traveled to the US Southern border.
He is here now, has been granted asylum, and wants to bring the weeping wife and 12 kids to join him!
From The Other Phoenix:
Long sob story you can read yourself, then this:

Hilowle’s wife wept. She told her husband to escape, taking only the $80 and 20 Somali schilling in his pocket. At the time, a dollar was equal 35,000 schillings. Hilowle’s wife told him he had to leave, because if he died then the entire family would lose their financial support.

World traveler and now US refugee extraordinaire, Aden Hilowle, was initially cared for by Catholic Charities in Arizona.

It took eight days to reach Ethiopia and contact his friends. His father sent him $14,000 from the sale of Hilowle’s house. [He had a house to sell?  But what about wifey?—ed]

Hilowle contacted a human smuggler. For $14,000, he could get a passport and a visa to Italy, but for $7,000 he could get a visa to Cuba, from the smuggler. From Cuba, he could go to the U.S. Hilowle left Ethiopia on Sept. 15, 2009 for Cuba.

He said he flew to Dubai, Moscow, Cuba and finally Ecuador for another $2,000. From Ecuador he traveled to Columbia in the back of a semi-truck with 45 other people.

“I was nearly to die,” he said.

He traveled from Columbia to Panama, where he was detained for three months and learned Spanish.

Next, he traveled through Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala in the backs of commercial trucks.

Once, he thought he would asphyxiate. The entire truck was incredibly hot and the air was stifling. When the two drivers opened the back of the truck, Hilowle told them in Spanish he wouldn’t go back in the truck because he thought he was going to die. They threatened to leave him on the side of the road.

At the border check points the drivers locked Hilowle into a fold-up bunk bed. The room between the bed and the wall was so small Hilowle had to place his elbow against the bottom of the bed so he could breathe.

After enduring four check points, Hilowle refused to get back into the fold up bed. A police officer caught Hilowle, but the truck drivers bribed him, he said. The police officer took the money and offered to drive Hilowle to the border in his car. By the time they reached the border, they were friends. The officer said he too would like to go to America.

Hilowle traveled through Mexico from Guatemala via tourist bus, foot, plane and car. On March 3, 2010, around 5 p.m., Hilowle arrived in the border town of San Luis, Ariz., where he sought political asylum.

American border officials handcuffed Hilowle.

Like many political asylees, he was sent to a federal detention center. He refers to it as a prison.

“They give you food and shelter but no freedom,” Hilowle said. “You can’t adapt to prison.”

On Jan. 31, 2011 Hilowle was released from detention. He was granted refugee status, he said, and Catholic Charities resettled him in Serrano Village.

Surely by now wife and children have joined Hilowle and everyone lives happily ever after (on the US taxpayer)!
We are so gullible.

Your tax dollars raise terrorists as one more refugee wages Jihad

We haven’t written about the very brave American hero Pamela Geller and what happened in Garland, Texas, when she and other organizers of a ‘draw Muhammad’ contest flushed out a pair of jihadists living in our midst, because you would have to be living under a rock to have missed the news.

One more recipient of American generosity and good will! I bet you will never see the mainstream media mention the ‘R’ word (refugee) when reporting on Muhammed Hassan (aka Miski)

However, it now appears that another of the Somali “youths” you raised to adulthood with your tax dollars is at the center of the attack.

Remember readers that Somalis do not “find their way” to America.  The vast majority of Somalis in the US came (and continue to come!) through the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program.  You feed them, you house them, you give them medical care and you educate them!

Minnesota, where Muhammed Hassan is from, is Somali-central having received 10,000 Somali refugees in ten years directly from Africa and elsewhere around the world thanks to ‘Christian’ resettlement contractors.   (We are not counting the ‘secondary migrants’ who moved to Minnesota after being resettled somewhere else in the US and then move to join their kind of people in MN).

In the first six months of FY2015 we have admitted 4,425 Somalis to the US. Why are we bringing in any?

From ABC News:

A mysterious ISIS recruiter known online as “Miski” was in close and repeated social media contact with Elton Simpson for months before the Sunday attack in Garland, Texas, an ABC News investigation has found.

Miski is well known to FBI officials who say his real name is Muhammed Hassan, a fugitive since 2009 when he fled Minneapolis as a teenager to join terror groups in Africa.

Speaking in late April about the forthcoming Prophet Mohammad cartoon contest – the one targeted in Gardner Sunday – would-be shooter Simpson tweeted “When will they ever learn?”

A few minutes later Miski responded, “Where are the warriors of this Ummah [community]?” And then, “The brothers from the Charlie Hebdo attack did their part. It’s time for brothers in the #US to do their part.”

[….]

Since leaving the country in 2009, Miski has popped up repeatedly online as a vocal proponent of jihad. Each time Twitter shuts down his account, he simply returns in under a slightly different username and quickly reconnects with his supporters and potential recruits.

“His influence is quite extensive,” David Ibsen, Executive Director of the Counter Extremism Project, told ABC News. “He’s known as one of the go-to individuals online who individuals who want more information about how to travel to ISIS-controlled territory, who want information about what these radical groups are doing, they go to him.”

For new readers, we first began following the ‘missing Somali youth’ news way back in 2008, here.

We must demand a moratorium on the resettlement of Muslims from anywhere in the world—from Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, Burma, Uzbekistan and Syria to start with—if we want to have any hope of surviving!  Let the rich Arab countries take them!
