Vaccine theory completely debunked as cause of autism…

….so maybe we can stop blaming America!

We have written several times on these pages about the high levels of autism in children in Somali communities in places like Minnesota and Scandinavia.  Now comes word that the completely discredited work of a British doctor had given false hope to Somalis in Minneapolis.  If they stopped vaccinating their kids, autism would go away!

The now disgraced British doctor who scared the world with his theory linking childhood vaccines with autism, recently spread his debunked theories to Somali families in Minneapolis.

Andrew Wakefield’s 1994 research paper has just been declared a “deliberate fraud” by the British Medical Journal.

[…..]

He’s since been stripped of his medical license in the U.K. But didn’t stop him from coming to Minneapolis in December to spread his debunked theories among desperate Somali mothers and fathers of autistic kids.

When the realization came to Somalis in Minneapolis that their children had higher rates of autism than other ethnic groups they were happy to latch on to the vaccine theory because maybe then the government would owe them something.  But, increasingly the focus on autism is headed toward several theories including a genetic link (polygamy would quickly spread such genes).  Or, and this is what I think as just an observer with no medical training.

It’s the sun stupid (or lack of it)!

No one wants to talk about it—-the possibility that autism is linked to a Vitamin D deficiency during a mother’s gestation period—because it means Islamic practices might be the culprit.  If you think about it, the rates of autism shot up just about the time that everyone in the US went crazy worrying about skin cancer (we all hid from the sun and slathered up with sunscreen)!   I’m digressing from the focus of this blog, but everyone should have a blood test for Vit. D and if deficient (almost everyone is!), get your levels up.

So, it stands to reason that a woman living in the far north and covered from head to toe would be severely deficient in the vitamin.  Here is just one report on this theory discussing research from Sweden and Minneapolis.

It would save enormous amounts of tax dollars (to the educational system in Minnesota) if the Minnesota Dept. of Health blood-tested (for a D-deficiency) every pregnant woman who is covered, all those not covered up for religious reasons too, and everyone stop pointing the finger of blame at America and vaccines.

Just as I was wrapping up this post I came across this interesting 2008 report on the various possible causes of high Somali autism rates.  Although it is focused heavily on the now-discredited vaccine theory it did raise the Vit. D question.  But this is how the author wraps up:

“Some autism families have returned to Somalia,” said one mother, who did not want to be identified. “They were angry and disgusted with the United States. The nation that offered them refuge was the same nation that made their children so sick,” she said.

“They think that, by returning home, maybe they can make their children better.”

But wait!  I thought it was so dangerous in Somalia and that is why we have taken nearly 100,000 Somalis since the 1980’s?

Maine border agents arrest asylee sex offender

One more arrest of an African for a crime in Maine wouldn’t be worth posting, but this story had a  little bit of information that interested me.

Here is the Bangor Daily News story from Houlton, Maine:

HOULTON, Maine — A citizen of the south central African nation of Angola was arrested in Houlton on Thursday for a probation violation stemming from a sex crime.

Officials with the U.S. Border Patrol said Friday that agents assigned to the Houlton sector were conducting a transportation check on a commercial bus in Houlton when they came across a man who said he was a U.S. refugee. The man told agents that he was born in Angola but had been granted asylum in the United States.

The suspicious agents conducted immigration and criminal checks, which revealed an active warrant out of Saint Charles County, Missouri. The warrant was for a probation violation stemming from a guilty plea that the man entered on a charge of first-degree sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old. [Why was he even free—ed]

Now this is what I found interesting.  Houlton is a border town with Canada, but the arrest was made at the local bus station (guess the guy was hoping to get to Canada) not at the border crossing.

Williams said that while most Border Patrol work is conducted in the immediate border area, agents conduct enforcement actions at transportation hubs away from the immediate border as part of a strategy of disrupting human smuggling activities.

Makes me wonder too which NGOs and immigration lawyers are helping these asylum seekers get across our borders—either coming or going!

Welcome to Shelbyville! The rise of a propaganda film

When the BeCause Foundation filmmakers arrived in the tense Tennessee town of Shelbyville in 2008, this is what I said:

BeWare BeCause!

Shelbyville BeWare BeCause, they are using your town!   They will gloss over the tensions and problems of the Tyson’s African employees and then show what great work the TIRRC and the Somali Community Center are doing to bring you all together in harmonious unity.  This is a politically motivated campaign.  Your film, your town, will then be used to shame other towns into silence.

And, so it is!  But, there was one other element I hadn’t fully focused on when the filmmakers arrived coincidentally when the Somali Community Center of Nashville and the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition had organized a “unity meeting,” and that was that the US State Department would latch on to the film and show it around the world before it had been distributed in the US.  (And, who knows, perhaps they even commissioned the film in the first place!)

You see the State Department under Hillary Clinton has a huge stake in this—in convincing Americans that it’s just, well, American, to welcome diversity, to erase borders, and to create one great big happy multicultural world.

Well, that and they have a stake in keeping the spigot for cheap labor flowing to big business political donors and convincing Africans and others that they should come to America (why else show it in Africa).  They also aim to keep your tax dollars flowing to the international immigration industry and the federal contractors who are supposed to be resettling refugees.  So, it’s no surprise that “Welcome to Shelbyville” was selected by the State Department for a big bucks award.

What got me started on this story again was a piece earlier this week where filmmaker Kim Snyder, tells us that the recent Tyson’s controversy was all baloney and that they are busy showing their version of Shelbyville in Ireland and Belgium. The general theme is that if redneck Bible-belt Tennesseans could start to see that maybe Somalis weren’t so bad after all, then your town should be ashamed of itself if you have concerns.

Why Belgium and Ireland?  Because both of those countries are experiencing an influx of Somali Muslims and people are worried about it as we have reported previously on these pages.   Also, Snyder reveals that the film was rushed out to Oregon to pacify citizens of Portland after the recent terrorist threat there.  No attempted terrorist threat by a Somali refugee, just an anomaly—go back to sleep citizens of Portland and Corvallis.  (Heck, if those redneck Tennesseans can see the light, so can you!)

Then on top of that, the New York Times is now talking-up the film, but at least had the good sense to mention the word PROPAGANDA!

The people at the BeCause Foundation are community organizers plain and simple (one need only visit their website).  They are promoting a political agenda.  If someone gave me the big bucks I could produce a documentary film with a completely different and opposite slant—even if I interviewed the exact same people.

Welcome to Shelbyville is modern-day propaganda. Someone should trace the making of this film and write a book  using this film to show how Americans are being manipulated by one-worlders inside and outside of government.

The back story on the Somali sex trafficking case

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has a great article on how the Somali sex trafficking case (first reported here) was pursued over several years and in several states by a pair of dogged investigators.   Here is the lead in:

A feisty prosecutor and passionate cop go after Minnesota-Somali gangs. It took a never-give-up attitude to build the case of a Somali runaway into a massive human trafficking prosecution.

The article begins:

NASHVILLE – “British” and “Moe D” sulked at a table inside courtroom A859. Each wore jail coveralls, their legs shackled.

A St. Paul vice cop faced them in silence while an intense Nashville prosecutor presented rapid-fire reasons why the men should stay locked up pending trial.

They made for something of an odd couple. Investigator Heather Weyker with her long blond hair and passion for this work. Assistant U.S. Attorney Van Vincent with his military-style buzz cut and Tennessee twang.

Nashville, too, seemed an unlikely place to charge mostly Minnesota gang members of Somali descent with selling Minnesota girls for sex. But to those who have worked this complex human-trafficking case that crosses state lines and involves 29 defendants and at least four young victims, Weyker and Vincent are the reason this is a case at all.

“From my perspective, Van and Heather are the heroes of this case,” said Ed Yarbrough, former U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee. “Minneapolis dropped the ball.”

Despite a decision by the U.S. attorney in Minnesota two years ago to not prosecute, Yarbrough said, Weyker never gave up her fight to rescue young girls investigators say were coerced into prostitution and passed around like playthings. Vincent, he said, is a bulldog who plowed through obstacles to build a conspiracy case that could result in life sentences for people who allegedly sold girls for as little as a bottle of brandy.

Read it all, it is fascinating.

For new readers: We have admitted well over 100,000 Somali refugees to the US.   To check out the numbers visit this post, one of our most widely read posts over the last few years.   In FY2010 which ended September 30th the US State Department resettled 4,884 Somalis (here) to towns near you.

Also, after being closed for nearly two years, the US State Department is on the verge of resuming the fraud-ridden family reunification program that admitted as many as 36,000 Somalis fraudulently to the US between 2003 and 2008.  See the latest on new regulations, here.  The State Department is on the verge of re-opening the program.

Go North young African man (or woman)….

…..where they give “good house, good money, good life and good education!”

This is another story mostly about Malta and African illegal immigrants flowing out of Africa, and across the Mediteranean in a desperate effort to get into Europe.  They’ve found that Italy stinks, so they make their way to Malta in hopes of jumping off to northern Europe or the US.

From The World:

Back on Malta, Herta Troponi, who runs a residence for African families that is translated as the Rainbow House, said migrants lately have their sights on other countries that they believe to be more hospitable to people with dark skin.

“Northern Europe. Sweden. Norway all those countries in the north. They know there are problems even in Italy. So the further they can go north the better.”

One twenty-four year old Somali resident, who first arrived in Malta in 2004, is ready to leave again. She first slipped out of Malta illegally one year after she arrived here, after being denied EU asylum. She settled in Switzerland and one of her three children was born there [reader, don’t you want to know where hubby is?]. However, in 2008, after being fingerprinted, her illegal status was discovered and she was deported back to Malta. Now she wants to return to Switzerland, and seems unaware that the country today is led by a vehemently anti-immigrant party. What matters to her is the life she led in that West European nation.

“When I stayed In Switzerland they gave good house, and good life, good money and good education. Malta is small, they can’t.”

Not as desireable as the welfare states of northern Europe, the US is also a destination. We have written dozens of posts since 2007 about the US Ambassador to Malta setting in motion a plan to transform these wandering Africans into legitimate refugees and send them off to your town.  Use our search function for Malta and you will see what I mean!

Though less popular than Europe, according to migrant surveys and the United Agency responsible for refugees, the UNHCR, the U.S. is also a much-desired destination for the accidental tourists* in Malta.”

“The idea is to recognize that Malta is doing a humanitarian service for the world. I was with a government official and he said ‘we can’t accommodate them all because we’re a small country, so we’re very grateful to the United States for taking a good portion of those that they can. The United States provided resettlement opportunities for about 200, and we have taken that most recently to 340.”

Denver doesn’t suit—guess I’ll just move along, says Daoud Ali Mohammed (late of Malta and a half a dozen other countries)!

The US is the eighth country that Daoud has lived in since 1992and suggests this may not be his last.
“I really don’t know how long it’s going to take for me to settle in one place and say this is the place, this is home.

My life story seems to say that I keep moving and that never leaves me alone. I would like to settle one day and have a home. But God knows how long it’s going to take.”

Sadly, Daoud Ali Mohammed’s long journey may not be over. He recently lost his job driving a cab, he’s behind on the rent, his heater is broken and he’s barely eking out an existence in wintry Denver. Now, he said he’s thinking about moving on.

Maybe Daoud could petition our ambassador to Malta (Douglas Kmiec, Republicans for Obama) to take him back there and get him something better in Northern Europe!

*LOL!  Accidental tourists!  That is a  new one!  Lately open borders advocates in the US have been pushing the media to stop using the words “illegal immigrant” or “illegal alien.”   In Maryland the governor calls them “new Americans.”  Gee, “accidental tourist,” I can’t wait for that to catch on!
