How many more Munyenyezis are there?

This is not the first case* we have written about involving “refugees” who are on trial for their involvement in the Rwanadan genocide, this just happens to be the worst case we’ve heard.   We wrote about Beatrice Munyenyezis case previously in June, here.  So much for those security checks we are told the US does on in-coming refugees.  Hat tip: several readers!

CONCORD, N.H. — Beatrice Munyenyezi brought her three daughters to the United States from war-ravaged Rwanda in 1998 and focused on the American Dream: private schooling for her girls, a home with a swimming pool, a sport utility vehicle.

Before long, she had a $13-an-hour job at Manchester’s Housing Authority in New Hampshire, her children were enrolled in Catholic school, and she was on her way to financing a comfortable American lifestyle through mortgages, loans and credit cards.

Now the 40-year-old mother sits behind bars, held without bond while she awaits trial on federal citizenship fraud charges for allegedly lying about involvement in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, when at least 500,000 ethnic Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed.

Authorities say she was an extremist Hutu who killed and enabled the rapes of untold Tutsi victims — not the innocent refugee she claimed to be in 1995 to gain U.S. entry, when she applied for a visa and for citizenship.

Munyenyezi (moon-yehn-YEH’-zee) has pleaded not guilty to two counts of lying to obtain U.S. citizenship on her refugee and naturalization applications, by denying any role in the Rwanda genocide. She is scheduled for trial in May 2011.

Her dream life apparently ended, it started falling apart years earlier. She filed for bankruptcy in May 2008, walking away from hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt: a $222,000 mortgage, $14,125 in student loans, $4,198 in municipal taxes and fees and $30,000 in credit card and other unsecured debt.

Cathy Chesley, director of immigration and refugee services for Catholic Charities of Manchester, said the agency provided Munyenyezi a standard refugee allotment when she became their client in 1999.

New charges filed in the case of US Somali refugee terrorism recruiters and funders

It annoys the heck out of me to even see this article today.  This has been going on for two years.  We first started writing about the former Somali refugees—the next generation no less—who are not assimilating but instead recruiting and sending terror trainees and money back to Africa as early as 2008 (here.)   What have our Homeland Security officials been doing for two years (or more!)?

This is the story today at Fox News:

Marking the latest in a growing number of terrorism cases involving an Al Qaeda-linked group in Somalia, several Somali-Americans have been arrested in at least two U.S. cities for allegedly supporting and in some cases fund-raising for the group. Many others, believed to be overseas, were also charged.

In addition, federal authorities unsealed a years-old indictment against one the group’s most prominent figures, Alabama-born Omar Hamammi, who has become a star of propaganda and recruitment videos produced by Al Shabab.

In the United States, arrests were made overnight near Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Two of those arrested were Amina Farah Ali and Hawo Mohamed Hassan of Rochester, Minn., naturalized U.S. citizens now indicted by a grand jury on charges of providing material support to a terrorist group.

Prosecutors allege they raised funds “by soliciting door-to-door” in Minnesota’s Somali communities, telling potential donors that “the funds were for the poor and needy.” Some of that money, prosecutors say, would then be funneled to the group Al Shabab, which has been designated a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

In an indictment unsealed Thursday morning, prosecutors also allege that seven others, including unidentified individuals in Minneapolis and Columbus, Ohio, helped Ali and Hallan “collect and forward funds to Al Shabab.” Some of the alleged aides appear to be in Somalia, including one individual described as “the al-Shabab administrative governor” in parts of the war-torn country.

For more than two years, the FBI has been investigating how dozens of Americans from Minneapolis and elswhere were recruited to train and fight alongside the Somalia-based group, known as Al Shabab. Most recently, Al Shabab claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks in Uganda and pledged its allegiance to Usama bin Laden.

Federal authorities have long worried that Al Shabab could try to launch attacks inside the United States.

NEVER! NEVER A WORD ABOUT HOW THE SOMALIS GOT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!    They mostly came through the Refugee Resettlement Program of the United States Department of State.  This very year, as of July 31st, we have brought in 3,507 additional  Somali refugees, see here ,*** to live in your town.    That figure does not include those illegal Somalis coming across our borders at this very minute.

And then most readers dismiss stories like this one because they can’t see how it will affect them if a bunch of Somalis who we fed, clothed, sent to school and probably even fixed their teeth go off to Africa and blow themselves up.

Khadra’s warning!

Here is the problem that will affect us all if we don’t put a stop to this!  Khadra, a Somali who apparently does care for the life we have given her, warns of the settlement that is Somali immigration.  She says they are here to take over!  To out breed us!  To push Sharia law in tiny increments until we submit to Islamic domination.  The mosque at Ground Zero is also part of the Islamic settlement of North America.   It is called the Stealth Jihad!

The US State Department has admitted over 80,000 Somali refugees to the US (this linked post continues to be one of the most widely read posts we have ever written) in the last 25 years and then in 2008 had to suspend family reunification because widespread immigration fraud was revealed through DNA testing.  That specific program has not yet been reopened (that we know of), but will be soon (notice almost another year has passed and I don’t believe they have figured out yet how to keep the fraud out of family reunification.)

*** Judging by the overall numbers it looks like the Obama Administration, during the great recession, is on target to bring the largest number of refugees to the US since 9/11.

UN begs and begs (and begs some more) for Saudis to not deport Somalis

I don’t know how many times now I’ve written about Muslim Saudi Arabia deporting Somali refugees, or arresting Rohingya refugees or refusing Iraqi refugees and Palestinians too—co-religionists all!   Nonetheless, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) continues to beg the rich Saudis to take some refugees.

Here is the latest plea:

The United Nations refugee agency called on Saudi Arabia on Friday to halt expulsions of Somalis to Mogadishu, rebuking the kingdom for deporting 1,000 a month by aircraft to the violent capital.

Neighboring countries should offer legal residence to Somali workers and asylum-seekers until it is safe to return to Mogadishu, where civilians are often targeted in the fighting between Somali forces and Islamist al Shabaab rebels, it said.

“Given the deadly violence in Mogadishu, UNHCR is urging the Saudi authorities to refrain from future deportations on humanitarian grounds,” Melissa Fleming, spokeswoman of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), told a news briefing.

Saudi authorities have told the UNHCR that they are deporting Somalis who have been staying in the country illegally, according to U.N. sources.

UNHCR said a week ago that Somali refugees were taken to Kenya and the semi-autonomous enclave of Puntland following deadly bombings by Al Shabaab in Uganda. Authorities in Puntland have also been deporting Somalis, but so far Kenya has not, it said.

So while rich (racist!) Muslim countries refuse refugees we are told we must take in the world!

The article reminds us that Saudi Arabia has not signed the international convention on refugees.

I’ll remind readers (and the UNHCR) that just last summer the UN released a report that says that the world’s refugee-saving tradition was born out of Islamic Sharia law and not Christian charity!  Give me a break!

Conflict in Arizona: Africans vs. African Americans

This story shows how stupid it is to think skin color is an important category. From the article:

Africans make up a small but growing part of the black population in metro-Phoenix, which limits opportunities for interaction. According to the 2008 American Community Survey, “foreign-born Africans” number around 18,500 in Maricopa County, or 10.8 percent of the area’s black population. The refugee population in Arizona is much smaller, although that figure more than doubled from 2006 to 2009, to 4,327, according to the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement.

In a 2008 supplemental report entitled “The State of Black Arizona, Volume I,” ASU associate professor Lisa Aubrey and colleagues found that many African Americans hold new arrivals “responsible” for their ancestral enslavement and “correlate Africa . . . with poverty and feel ashamed.” Aubrey and her coauthors call today’s African Americans “old diasporans,” descendants of slaves and other earlier African arrivals. The scholars refer to modern continental Africans, including refugees who fled strife in their countries, as “new diasporans.”

Most American Blacks are descended from Africans who came here hundreds of years ago, longer ago than the ancestors of most of us arrived. It is ridiculous to suppose that they should have anything in common with newly arrived Africans. And if many of them hadn’t been conned into thinking that their African ancestry is more important than their status as Americans, nobody would try to make an issue of these differences.

Las Vegas: jobs for refugees or jobs for refugee resettlement workers, that is the question

Readers please visit Friends of Refugees blog here daily to find out all the latest on what the federal refugee contractors are up to.  Here is a good post by Christopher Coen on Saturday about refugees continuing to be brought to Las Vegas inspite of Nevada’s extremely high unemployment rate.

The African Community Center and the State Department are continuing to resettle refugees to Las Vegas despite the city’s official unemployment rate of 14.2% (some estimate the “real” unemployment rate is closer to 25%). An article in the Vegas Seven publication extolls African Community Center’s virtues, while not asking any questions….

Yet, why is the State Department, the African Community Center, and ECDC (Ethiopian Community Development Council) continuing to resettle refugees to a state and city with such a high unemployment rates? Does it make any sense to do so? The ECDC and the African Community Center would no doubt protest that they would have to shut down operations in Nevada if the State Department were to cut the flow of refugees and federal funding, but at what price does this come to refugees to continue to resettle them to a place with such low employment prospects? What is more important, jobs for refugees or jobs for refugee resettlement workers? I guess we know the answer.
