The first one to go before an immigration judge has been denied refugee protection in the US. He says he fears the Taliban. Well, he shouldn’t! According to Obama and his State Department the Taliban is not a terrorist group!
BUFFALO (AP) — An immigration judge denied asylum Friday for an Afghan military officer who sneaked away from a U.S. training exercise in Massachusetts to avoid returning to Afghanistan, where he said he had been threatened by the Taliban.
The judge ruled that Maj. Jan Arash did not qualify for certain protections because the Taliban is not a government, his lawyer said, nor had he proven that he would be persecuted, rather than legally prosecuted, by the Afghan government.
“If he gets deported and hung for desertion, that’s OK under the law,” attorney Matthew Borowski said.
“We have no choice but to appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals,” the attorney said. The process could take several months.
In the meantime, Arash will continue to be held at the Buffalo Federal Detention Center, where the asylum case was heard.
Arash is one of three Afghan military officers who were detained in September after being denied entry into Canada, where they had planned to seek refugee status.

The three soldiers took a cab more than 500 miles from Massachusetts to the Canadian border in Niagara Falls while in the United States for a training exercise at Joint Base Cape Cod. In interviews with The Associated Press shortly after they were detained, they described being targeted by the Taliban because of their work with U.S. soldiers.
If granted asylum, Arash will be eligible for the Cadillac treatment all refugees receive—virtually all forms of welfare, healthcare, job counseling and training, etc. by one of the hundreds of federal contractors operating in over 180 cities in the US. He would be able to bring his family from Afghanistan to join him.

Australia grapples with Bacha Bazi compulsive predators
Around the time Qayed Shareef was role playing with 9- and 10-year olds via the internet in the U.S., Afghan natives Ali Jaffari and Omid Roshan were on the prowl in Australia’s Greater Melbourne area.As events build on each other, Australia wakens.
TIMELINE:
2010 – Ali Jaffari, aged 30+, arrives in Australia via smuggler boat. He seeks asylum and is detained 15 months.
Jan. 2012 – Jaffari is granted a permanent protection visa.
2012 – Omid Roshan, age 19 or 20, arrives late in the year via smuggler boat. After 1-month detention, he is granted a temporary bridging visa. Thus, two boy-seeking sexual predators are released into the general population.
Nov. 2012 – Jaffari molests 12- and 13-year old boys at a swimming pool in Geelong (near Melbourne). [A number of years ago another Afghan refugee creep did something similar: as soon as Hussain Haidari was released from detention, he swooped into the Adelaide Aquatic Center where he found his 13-year-old boy prey – at the swimming pool.] Jaffari remains free pending trial.

Jan. 2013 – Jaffari tries to kidnap a 4-year-old girl at a Geelong cricket field. Grabs her hand and starts to lead her away. He tells police, “for us is not an issue”.
Aug. 2013 – Geelong swimming pool molestation trial. The boys testify that Jaffari approached them and, at first, was “mucking about” with them in the pool:
One witness said things changed when he started grabbing at them, cuddling one boy, kissing him on the neck and telling him he was “sexy”. He also rubbed himself against a boy. The victim told the court Jaffari followed them to the showers, where he cornered one boy, asking him if he “wanted company”. He said Jaffari then tried to pull him out of sight of his friend. The boys fled and reported the matter to their parents.
The court heard both suffered nightmares after the attack and one mother broke down while giving evidence, telling the court her son’s first words to her were, “I was nearly raped”. (See facebook here)
Verdict: Jaffari found guilty on 6 counts indecent acts with child & 1 attempt.
Sentence: NO JAIL TIME! 300 hours community service. Magistrate Ann McGarvie takes into account Jaffari’s refugee status and that he had previously spent 15 months in detention. She deems him to have low chance of reoffending (despite already facing charges for the separate kidnapping and his unknown history in Afghanistan and Pakistan). Jaffari appeals.
November 2013. At child-stealing hearing, politically-correct Magistrate Ian von Einem says about Jaffari holding little girl’s hand and leading her away: “If a middle-aged, friendly woman did this, I doubt she’d be charged.”
February 2014. Jaffari is reconvicted on appeal of swimming pool case. Police withdraw the child-stealing charges because Magistrate Ron Saines says he’d have trouble finding Jaffari guilty, citing “cultural differences”.

March 2014. Afghan Omid Roshan of Dandenong (southeast Melbourne) kidnaps a 9-year-old boy from a soccer match, rapes him, and then flees the Melbourne area to Sydney. (See previous post at RRW, here) Detectives track him down and charge him with 2 counts of rape and other offenses. Roshan does not ask for bail.
Immigration Minister Scott Morrison promises to keep the temporary visa holder in detention if the court should release him pending trial. … Meanwhile bloggers in America pick up the story of how Ali Jaffari, the other Afghan sex- and asylum-seeking predator, avoided prosecution because of “cultural differences”.
Australian media figure and blogger Derryn Hinchis outraged. He posts a piece on “cultural insanity” showing Jaffari’s photo. He writes:
“Apparently Jaffari is an Afghan refugee with cultural differences. Is it culturally acceptable there for adults to sexually assault children? I doubt it. But even if it were, it is abhorrent here and our laws say so.”
Hinch’s post reaches 130,000 people. Australia’s “Pickering Post” piece on Jaffari is so popular that its servers shut down; the Facebook version logs over half a million hits. The people are roused. But Jaffari himself causes the coming commotion.
April 4, 2014. Police spot Jaffari in a St. Kilda public library (suburban Melbourne) viewing child porn on his laptop (violent sexual images of children). April 7, a passing cyclist notices and photographs a man behaving in “a not quite right” manner near public toilets, at the rear of football changing rooms used by under-8 to 10-year old boys at Albert Park Lake Reserve (Melbourne area). Police identify the suspicious person as Jaffari and caution him. Within weeks, Jaffari is back, again hanging around the site.
Immigration Minister Scott Morrison wants to revoke Jaffari’s permanent visa, but is stymied by Australian law. The current character test requires a “substantial criminal record” including at least a 12-month jail term, something that does not apply to Jaffari. Clearly, there is a mismatch between criminal law and immigration law. In Australia, cases involving child sexual abuse are often handled by magistrates rather than judges – shockingly, they are considered low level crimes. The magistrates who were involved in Jaffari’s cases were extremely lenient and made reckless allowances for Jaffari’s foreign origins and foreign customs— they effectively put Australian children at risk, and the Government found its hands tied.Morrison tells the public they are working on a solution.
May 2014. A member of the public is alarmed by the potentially dangerous situation developing at Albert Park and contacts Derryn Hinch whose piece about the roaming Ali Jaffari, called “Help …. please” reaches over 170,000 Australians (here).
Mainstream Australian press runs editorials – Herald Sun: “Send abuser back home”. Daily Telegraph: “Old tribal customs no excuse for crimes.”
WHERE’S ALI JAFFARI? HE’S EVERYWHERE! Mass awakening of public concern follows Jaffari’s re-arrest and release on porn charges. Police investigate his behavior towards young children at footy training (Australian football practice) near Albert Park. Worried parents report seeing Jaffari loitering near a school, parks, and playground. TV and radio personality Kate Langbroek tweets that Jaffari was loitering at her children’s school and MSAC (Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre). “So there’s a pedo hanging around our kids’ school. Seriously. And at MSAC. Apparently he has ‘a right to pursue fitness’. Holy moly.” Jaffari is also seen at a Beaconsfield Parade playground where an irate parent confronts him. “A mother left shaken after she claims Jaffari followed her and her two children through Albert Park after dark, making noises and touching himself.” She is horrified he’s back at large.
What’s to be done?How will Jaffari be kept off the streets, and out of parks, and pools, and libraries? Can he, should he, be sent back to Afghanistan? How about Derryn Hinch’s question: Is it culturally acceptable in Afghanistan for adults to sexually assault children? ….

Thousands turned out to march for Khalid, the murdered Muslim, when they thought some crazed PEGIDA supporter had knifed him to death.
We didn’t mention the story (the murder) when it happened mostly because it seemed too convenient that just as the anti-immigration (anti-Islamization) movement PEGIDA was expanding dramatically, and the Paris slaughter had just occurred, the media directed us to ‘look over here’ where some German right-winger MIGHT have murdered a poor African migrant in Dresden.
January 15th: Here is just one of MANY articles that came out after an Eritrean Muslim ‘asylum seeker’ was found dead in Dresden:
Germany’s recent upsurge in anti-Islam sentiment appears to have taken a dark new turn, as a 20-year old asylum seeker was murdered in Dresden this week.
Khaled Idris Bahray, a Muslim originally from Eritrea, was found stabbed to death close to his home in southern Dresdenon Tuesday morning. The previous night, an estimated 25,000 demonstrators from the far-right Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West (PEGIDA) group, which proclaims to oppose Islamic extremism, had marched through the center of the German city. Many have now linked the murder of the 20-year-old to the ongoing increase in racist attacks there.

Immediately following the incident, questions were raised regarding the increasing prevalence of anti-immigrant and anti-Islam sentiments in the city. Just days before the attack, neo-Nazi graffiti, including a swastika, was painted on the door of the flat in which Khaled was living, accompanied by the message “We’ll get you all.”
Many foreigners feel insecure on the streets of the city amid the upswing in attacks in Dresden. After a PEGIDA demonstration in December, a group of “foreign-looking youths” came under attack in a Dresden mall, with several injuries reported. An Eritrean speaker at a vigil held in memory of Khaled told the crowd: “We are afraid. Help us,” before claiming that most asylum seekers in the city want to leave.[So let them leave!—ed]
The rise in hostility towards refugees and migrants has been linked to the ongoing PEGIDA demonstrations, which began in October 2014 and have now risen to attendance levels estimated at 25,000 people.
Then get this! Thousands turned out to proclaim,”Ich bin Khalid!”
Under the slogan “Rights and security for refugees – in memory of Khaled,” the march on Saturday aimed not only to remember Khaled I., but also to show a sign of solidarity with asylum seekers and refugees in Dresden, particularly in light of an apparent increase in xenophobic sentiment in recent months.
Following in the footsteps of mourners across the world who last weekend remembered the Paris attack victims with the slogan “Je suis Charlie,” many of those marching in memory of Khaled I. on Saturday were seen holding signs bearing the words “Ich bin Khaled” (I am Khaled).
Amid claims that Khaled I.’s stabbing could have been racially motivated, the participants at the march also demanded an explanation for his death and criticized the anti-Islamization group PEGIDA, which the marchers accuse of turning Dresden into a “center of xenophobia.”
Another asylum seeker arrested in the murder!
January 22nd: Oopsy! Deutsche Welle, with no apology for its previous reporting, tells us that Khalid’s roommate, another Eritrean, has been arrested in the murder. Shouldn’t the press now be asking about the sorts of people being allowed to reside among German citizens?
The Dresden district attorney’s office confirmed on Thursday that an arrest warrant for manslaughter had been issued in the case of an asylum seeker who was found dead a little over a week ago. The accused killer had been remanded into custody as a result of DNA evidence found on the murder weapon.
The suspect was a housemate of Khaled B., the 20-year old from Eritrea who was discovered dead in his high-rise in Dresden’s Leubnitz-Neuostra district where he lived with other asylum seekers. The police originally issued a report saying there was no evidence of foul play, but reversed this statement when a coroner’s report listed multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest.
The 26-year-old suspect is also thought to be from Eritrea, quelling rumors that the murder was a hate crime, which had been circulating since swastika graffiti was found in the staircase near Khaled’s apartment.The accused has alledgedly confessed while in custody and given his motive as a fight over household concerns that turned violent. [Ha! “Rumors” that Deutsche Welle has been only too happy to perpetuate.—ed]
Have you noticed that the authorities almost never figure out who is doing the graffiti writing—I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t the wannabe new Germans doing it themselves.
Final note: A recent poll (before the atrocity in Paris!) in Germany found that 57% of Germans feel that Islam is a threat! See The Local.
The survey was carried out in November – before the massacre of journalists in Paris by Islamist gunmen – but as the numbers attending anti-Muslim rallies in Dresden and other cities began to escalate.
The Bertelsman Foundation think tank survey looked at the perception of Islam in Germany from the eyes of Muslims and non-Muslims. Of the non-Muslims surveyed, 57 percent thought that Islam was threatening or very threatening to German society.
TNS Emnid, which conducted the survey for the Bertelsman Foundation think tank, said it’s a rise of four percent since 2012 when the study was last conducted. The research institute surveyed 937 non-Muslim Germans for the survey in November 2014.
Even more respondents felt that Islam did not fit into western society: 61 percent said not really or not at all. A rise of nine percent over 2012.
Forty percent felt like “foreigners in their own country” because of the perceived increase in the Muslim population.

More than a quarter of Dutch municipalities are facing problems in providing housing for the people who want to live there. There will be more refugees to the Netherlands and the result is that waiting time for anyone on a waiting list will increase, according to a survey of 326 municipalities. The questionnaire, created by regional broadcasters and NOS, could not get 67 additional municipalities to take part.
Last year there were over 25,000 asylum seekers to the Netherlands which is 10,000 more than the year before. Most of them come from Syria, Eritrea and Somalia and many of them may stay for humanitarian reasons and must be placed from refugee centers in to ordinary housing. [Seems to me that they should just keep them in refugee centers. Duh! If they are offered government subsidized ordinary housing more will come!—ed]
There is an increasing pressure on social rental market, hardly any apartment turnover, housing corporations are selling some of their inventory and fewer rental houses are being built, says Aedes, the national association of housing corporations in the Netherlands.
In the town of Hulst, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen region, there are 300 people waiting for an apartment and the waiting time for social housing in Almere is more than six years. Other municipalities say that there are no houses because the current residents are staying in, or because most of the residents are homeowners.
During the first half of 2014 the municipalities had to accommodate 6,500 refugees and they served over 91 percent of the asylum seekers. In the first half of 2015, the municipalities must temporarily accommodate 14,000 residence permit holders, who are staying in the Netherlands.
