New blog: Refugee Racket Exposed!

Reader ‘Jan Sobieski’ has launched a new blog critical of the Refugee Admissions Program of the US State Department and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (HHS) entitled Refugee Racket Exposed!

Editor:  I’ve been complaining lately about the fact that this subject is becoming way too big for just a few of us to keep up with and report on, so we welcome Mr. Sobieski’s entry into the fray.  As a matter of fact, I haven’t said it lately but we need MORE bloggers following all of our LEGAL misguided (insane!) immigration programs.  I’m thinking particularly of the Diversity Visa Lottery and Temporary Protected Status and of course Refugee Resettlement.  Please consider joining the blogger army—your help is desperately needed.

Here is what Mr. Sobieski says about his mission (emphasis is mine):

The purpose of Refugee Racket Exposed (RefugeeRacket.com) is simple – Expose the refugee and asylum system that has developed in the US and make Congress investigate the fraud and corruption and the negative impact the refugee racket industry has on America and Americans.

The Refugee Racket system is a multibillion dollar racket and controls the importation and/or settlement of over 150,000 refugees and asylum seekers into the US at taxpayer’s expense. I intend to expose the players who game and corrupt the system and to educate Congress about this abused program. Congress needs to dramatically scale back and reform the refugee and asylum industry. Taxpayers are on the hook for the refugees and asylum seekers resettlement in more ways than you can imagine. You pay for all of it. The Refugee Racket is the perfect example of the adage ‘The road to hell is paved with good intentions.’ In America today, it is dangerous to rock the boat. You will be attacked, and in some cases, physically harmed by those within the refugee racket. For this reason, I post under the pseudonym Jan Sobieski to protect myself and my family from harm. If you don’t know who Jan Sobieski is, google it.

Also, please see Mr. Sobieski’s excellent letter to Congress about why an investigation of the whole program must be forthcoming.

We are adding Refugee Racket Exposed to our blogroll.

As our 7th anniversary approaches….

RRW needs help!

From the editor:

I believe we are now at a crisis stage in America like no other in 150 years!

It hardly seems possible, but in a few weeks Refugee Resettlement Watch (see our ‘About’ page) will be seven years old!  Almost every day for seven years we have posted some news on the US Refugee Admissions program directed by the United Nations (carried out by the US State Department, the Office of Refugee Resettlement in HHS and their contractors***) and related issues involving LEGAL and sometimes illegal immigration.

We began with 14 viewers in the month of June ’07 and that was probably a few tech helpers just testing the site!  Recently we have had 45,000 viewers in a month and they come from all over the world!   We have written 5,660 posts to date and, as I said, rarely miss a day!

Our facebook readers sometimes surpass 30,000 in a week!

I’m writing this, not to toot our horn, but to say that it is really concerning me that I can’t keep up with all of your e-mails and inquiries and write posts too.

But, please keep sending me articles because the growing number of concerned citizens are the greatest information resource I have for what is going on in your states with refugees and with the ever-expanding number of migrants being labeled as “refugees,” and with the large number coming from Muslim countries.   If I don’t always respond, please know that I am here without helpers!  LOL!  No secretaries, no interns, no nothing!

Perhaps as the invasion on the border continues, with the mostly teenaged boys being treated like refugees, the large immigration control groups (I won’t name names, you know who you are) will get in gear and pay attention to the Refugee program (assign some staff to it!) which they have largely ignored these last seven years.

Bottom line:  this week as World Refugee Day approaches on Friday—we need help!  The issue is too big for a volunteer blogger in the basement!  If you are a member of the big immigration control groups, tell them to pay attention to the refugee program and since the contractors are lobbying especially this week (in the media and on The Hill), take time to let your elected officials know (at all levels of government) how you feel about the ever-expanding resettlement of third-worlders into your towns and cities.  Bombard especially Rep. Trey Gowdy!

Thank you!!!   Ann

***The contractors (who, by the way, also are lobbying for amnesty because they will be paid to “service” the new “clients!”):

Email address change

I can’t take it anymore!  The Yahoo address we had as our contact in the right side bar has been killed (by me!).  It was so full of junk mail I could barely look at it.   Then today as I tried answering some of your wonderful e-mails nothing would send from Yahoo.

So now we have a new address, please make a note!

RefugeeWatcher@gmail.com

If you have Ann’s aol address you may continue to use that.

Again, sorry to have missed so many of your tips, your kind words and your questions.  I promise to try harder to keep up with everybody from now on!

Today I especially wanted to thank Sandra for her e-mail!  She said she offered to take Wyoming Governor Matt Mead on a tour of the Somali and Iraqi neighborhoods of San Diego!  Way to go!

P.S.  If you have a possible story for us, put the words NEWS TIP into your subject line and I might see it sooner.   I really need a secretary!

RRW will be on vacation for a few days!

If you are a new reader and have just arrived here for the first time, below are some of the areas you can explore until we resume posting the latest news on Monday.

Check our “about” page.

Facts on how refugee resettlement works in America are here.  See also ‘why we need a moratorium’ here.

Note the “top posts in the right hand sidebar and get an idea of what posts readers are most interested in.

See the categories in the left hand sidebar.  Note especially for our readers worldwide that we have categories for Africa, Australia, Canada and Europe.

Have a look at the category entitled “where to find information” for reports, documents, statistics.

Our search function (upper left) works really well; type in a couple of key words and you will most likely find something.  We have written 5,587 posts, so I use the ‘search’ daily myself.  Warning! Don’t type ‘Somalis Minneapolis’ though unless you have all day to read!

The tags are pretty handy too, but we only started using them a couple of years ago and so posts going back to 2007 won’t appear.

I hope to be able to post comments while I’m away, but come on commenters!—I won’t post any threats, personal verbal attacks on other people (you are free to attack me! call me names if it makes you feel better!) or foul language!

Refugee Resettlement Watch readership grows every month

I think this issue is beginning to resonate with people around the country and around the world.  For new readers, we have been blogging since 2007, but just about a year ago at this time readership took a huge leap forward and every month we add subscribers and visitors to our facebook page.

Our goal is to add one new subscriber a day, but in April we added 85 bringing our regular subscriber number to 1,220.  That sounds modest and by big-blog standards it is, however, for a narrowly focused blog, we are thrilled.    And, last week alone our facebook page reached 22,551 visitors (this week it is over 27,000 already!).

A month ago I made this report on how we are doing.  In that post I reported on the top countries from which our readers are coming.

In a post the other day I said I would tell you what our top most-visited posts of all time are, so here we go with the top five:

Fact Sheet is number one with 46,581 visitors.  Followed by:

How did we get so many Somalis….  (22,727)

Why so many Somalis in Minneapolis (23,360)

Asylum seekers head for Israel (12,718)

They are fighting back in Sweden (12,466)

Our “About” description is important for new readers to see as well.  I hadn’t read it for years, but it is still operative, except maybe my cynicism has grown!

Because we are getting so many new readers, let me direct you to first the fact sheet, then if you are trying to find other available reports and documents check out our ‘where to find information’ category.

We have an excellent search function and if you would like to know if we have written on a certain subject, a person, an organization, or a location, type a key word or two into the search field to see if we have covered the topic over the last nearly 7 years.

Note to commenters!  We review our comments before posting, so keep them free of foul language or any suggestion that anyone should be harmed in any way, and don’t call people names, that is what the leftists do when they can’t argue with facts!  If there is a delay in posting your appropriate comment, then it is because I am away from the computer.

If you don’t want to become a subscriber (upper left), then follow us on facebook or twitter (AnnC@RefugeeWatcher).

Thanks for your continued loyalty!

Update May 3:  I see that as of today we have posted 5,555 posts since launching RRW in 2007.
