Horowitz at Conservative Review nails it! Refugee program (our national sovereignty) should be central to this election

conservative-reviewYesterday conservative writer Daniel Horowitz reported on the Obama Administration’s announcement that they are shooting for admitting 110,000 refugees to be placed in your towns starting on October 1.
I’m sure you are shouting at the computer at this very minute—how can he do that he is out of here in only a few short months!  Well, he can if Congress gives him the funding and the pass that every Congress for the last 35 years has given the administration on the subject of refugees.
Before I tell you more of what Daniel Horowitz said, his vitally important point is this one!  Are we going to stand silent and lose our sovereignty, to be overrun as Europe is today? Indeed, do we want to be Europe?***

“It would be a crying shame for conservatives not to harness this very potent issue and make the election a referendum on whether America will become like Europe or not.”

Now here is a bit of what else he said yesterday, but please read the whole thing because he presents some very good ideas for reforming the entire program.

Earlier today, pursuant to the Refugee Act of 1980, which requires the State Department to consult with Congress on the annual level of refugee intake, the Obama administration announced its plans to admit 110,000 refugees in FY 2017 beginning October 1. That is a 25,000 net increase from this current fiscal year level, and a 40,000 net increase from most recent years. It is also 10,000 more than the State Department projected for FY 2017 during last September’s consultation with Congress.

Are the people and their representatives powerless in stopping this forced transformation?

As I wrote in Stolen Sovereignty, Ted Kennedy promised that the 1980 refugee bill would limit the flow of refugees and increase Congressional input in the process. Refugee intake was to be capped at 50,000 a year. But in a sleight of hand that the public would have never approved had it been advertised in a transparent way, the president was granted de facto unilateral authority to increase the flow over and beyond the 50,000 cap beginning in 1983 — in consultation with Congress.

More here.
But, don’t forget, and Horowitz tells us too—Congress holds the power to defund the Refugee Admissions Program right now!
And, by the way, it isn’t just about the Presidential election in November.  All of your members of Congress are up for election and one third of the US Senate. Find them on the campaign trail and let them know what you think!

Merkel's mess: German companies not hiring refugees

Invasion of Europe news….
Angela Merkel was telling anyone who would listen that Germany would welcome any Middle Easterners and Africans who could get there.  She wanted to be a humanitarian, but she claimed Germany needed more workers as well.  Looks like she was very very wrong about that.  In fact, this issue of bringing in hundreds of thousands of low-skilled workers (as the US is doing too) is a ticking time bomb!

merkel-grinning
Merkel, fighting for her political life. You know what struck me so funny, as I sorted through photos of Frau Merkel, is that like Hillary she has some astounding facial expressions. Could she have the same affliction that Hillary has, whatever that is?

What with innovation in the workplace requiring fewer such workers and welfare systems being strained worldwide, what will happen to all these unhappy foreigners who have neither cultural roots nor upward mobility in their new countries.
It continues to escape me why this migration project, pushed by the international Left and supported by leaders like Merkel, is humane in any way!
From Reuters (hat tip: Joanne):

Germany’s blue-chip companies will have to explain to Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday why they have managed to hire fewer than 100 refugees after around a million arrived in the country last year.

Merkel, fighting for her political life over her open-door policy, has summoned the bosses of some of Germany’s biggest companies to Berlin to account for their lack of action and exchange ideas about how they can do better.

Many of the companies say a lack of German-language skills, the inability of most refugees to prove any qualifications, and uncertainty about their permission to stay in the country mean

A survey by Reuters of the 30 companies in Germany’s DAX stock market index found they could point to just 63 refugee hires in total. Several of the 26 firms who responded said they considered it discriminatory to ask about applicants’ migration history, so they did not know whether they employed refugees or how many.

Of the 63 hires, 50 are employed by Deutsche Post DHL, which said it applied a “pragmatic approach” and deployed the refugees to sort and deliver letters and parcels.

“Given that around 80 percent of asylum seekers are not highly qualified and may not yet have a high level of German proficiency, we have primarily offered jobs that do not require technical skills or a considerable amount of interaction in German,” a spokesman said by email.

What is clear is that early optimism that the wave of migrants could boost economic growth and help ease a skills shortage in Germany – where the working-age population is projected to shrink by 6 million people by 2030 – is evaporating.

Large numbers of child brides living with older migrant men in Germany, elsewhere

So are they going to give up this aspect of their ‘culture’ when they assimilate to life in the West?  I doubt it.

welcome-to-germany
This is creeping sharia, by the way. Where are Europe’s feminists who should be fighting for the young girls?

And, it just occurred to me, is the US admitting Muslim refugees with young girls as wives?  Is anyone reporting that information? And, are they even legally married?
Invasion of Europe news….
From Russia Today:

Some 1,475 minor refugees, mostly girls, have arrived in Germany already married, the majority of whom come from Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq, an official report cited by German media says. Almost one in four are reportedly less than 14 years old.

The numbers from the government migration office were released in the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) newspaper on Friday.

According to data collected in July of this year, some 1,475 refugee minors were recorded by the migration office as married. The usual minimum age for marriage in Germany is 18, but an exception can be made for 16-year-old children if they have their parents’ permission.

The majority of married minors arrived from Syria (664), Afghanistan (157), Iraq (100), Bulgaria (65), Poland (41), Romania (33), and Greece (32), the report says. Girls make up the majority – at least 1,152.

[….]

Germany isn’t the only European country with “child brides” issues. In February of this year, similar cases were also reported in Norway, where at least 61 minors, several under the age of sexual consent, were married at the time they applied for asylum in Norway, according to government figures for 2015. It was later revealed that child brides were being allowed to stay with their older husbands in Norwegian asylum centers.

Dozens of young female asylum seekers were also discovered living with older men in Danish refugee centers and, in March of this year, at least 70 married girls under the age of 18 were found in asylum centers in Sweden, including in major cities like Stockholm and Malmo.

Paris building refugee camps, segregating the sexes

Invasion of Europe news……

paris-camp
Refugee camp to open in Paris in October.

It isn’t quite this bad here. We don’t have camps yet, but…..  could it happen?
Already housing is short for the tens of thousands of refugees Obama (and the Republican Congress) have admitted this fiscal year.  We still have over 10,000 to squeeze in to America this month (see here)! And, we have tens of thousands of so-called ‘unaccompanied alien children’ to house.
Could we end up with refugee camps in America?
Thanks to Joanne for this story from France at the Huffington Post.  You will have to read it yourself because it won’t allow any snips. The gist of the story is that so many asylum seekers are building make-shift camps that the powers-that-be have decided to build them some nice ones right in Paris.
They are segregating the ‘refugees’ by sex because of all the rape and other sexual abuse going on in refugee housing throughout Europe.

Sweden paying 'refugees' to go home (and it is working)

Invasion of Europe news…..
As Donald Trump continues to flesh out his immigration policies (I assume today he will focus on illegal immigration), I think a little sweetener to nudge people to return home could save America a heck of a lot of money since most migrants, legal and illegal! are figuring out how to tap into our welfare system.

Swedish fear
In 2015 this Middle Eastern asylum seeker refused to get off a bus at his new home in Sweden’s frozen north. He said he feared bears and wolves in the forest. (He might have been more afraid of trees than he admits.) https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2015/01/02/refugee-soap-opera-on-a-bus-in-sweden/

Sweden is offering a cash payment to asylum seekers if they withdraw their application for asylum and go home.  Along with longer wait times and living conditions in shelters in the cold north, the plan appears to be working.
Of course, going home for a price is a sure indicator that the migrants were never really ‘refugees’ in the first place, but economic migrants looking for work and/or welfare.
Here is the news from the Independent from late last week:

A record 4,542 asylum seekers withdrew their applications and left Sweden in the first eight months of 2016 as a result of long processing times, strict new rules on family reunion, and payouts to migrants who voluntarily returned to their country of origin.

There were also less than half as many new claims made between January and August 2016, as in the same period of 2015.

Sweden used to be one of Europe’s most popular destinations for migrants, with the number of asylum applications doubling between 2014 and 2015 to more than 160,000.

[….]

But for many asylum seekers who arrived during the influx last year, Sweden has proved less of a utopia than they hoped. Many faced a long, cold winter in political limbo, camped out in makeshift accomodation while the state struggled to cope with the large number of new claims. Less than 500 of the 160,000 arrivals have managed to secure jobs.

Concerned about the strain placed on the economy of the country, which was expected to spend about one per cent of its GDP on asylum seekers in 2016, the Swedish Migration Agency, a government department responsible for processing claims, introduced tougher rules at the start of 2016, designed to deter and keep out asylum seekers.

No surprise!

The Swedish public also appear to be have become more hostile to migrants.

A survey released in February showed immigration was the main concern for 40 per cent of Swedes, above worries about failing schools, joblessness and welfare. The change was the biggest opinion swing in the poll’s history.

Continue reading here and learn about the payment strategy.
We have previously proposed a repatriation fund for unhappy migrants (not just refugees but others) to get them a plane ticket home, we could always add a little sweetener to the pot. Surely the Dems in Congress would not oppose such a fund to help unhappy people get back home.
I’m guessing, we have fifty or more posts on Sweden at RRW.  I have long predicted it would be the first European country to fall as the demographic change (and high welfare rate) would push it over the edge.  However, maybe there is a glimmer of hope for them after all.
