Numbers of refugees arriving this month are through the roof!

In the last five days, the Obama Administration has admitted the astronomical number of 2,432 refugees.

Today is the big day! And, it feels like a huge holiday.  I wasn’t going to post anything since you will be glued to the tube, or maybe even in Washington, but I figured what the heck, I have news to report.

obama-grinning-four-dollars-1
Ha! Ha! It was a rush job, but we got as many in as we could since Election day!

On January 16th I told you that the daily average of arriving refugees had dropped from earlier in the fiscal year (the 2017 fiscal year began on October 1, 2016), but I checked Wrapsnet this morning and see I must revise that assessment!
As of today, Inauguration Day, we have admitted 29,895 refugees, that is a rate way above any numbers we have seen at least since the years preceding 9/11, see here.

As of January 15th, the number was 27,463.  That means in the last 5 days Obama admitted 2,432!

Trump Watch begins tomorrow!

Unless the data base disappears, I plan to begin reporting daily (starting tomorrow) overall numbers and numbers for specific nationalities in my Trump Watch series.
So here are some benchmarks for today for FY17:

Overall admissions: 29,895 (267 per day average)

Afghans: 748

Syrians: 4,588

Somalis: 3,806

Iraqis: 4,560

Here is where the Syrians (98% Muslim) have been placed between October 1, 2016 and January 20, 2017:

If you can’t read Florida, it is 276. Alaska and Hawaii got zero Syrians so far.

I just had a look at our category, ‘Where to find information’ and there is a lot of good stuff posted there.

Twin Falls, Idaho: Former Idaho Chief Justice calls out Breitbart and World Net Daily for their refugee coverage

jim-jones-2017-01-13-at-5-32-01-pmCalls those two national news outlets “outsiders,” and likens refugees from the Middle East to the South Vietnamese we took in decades ago. (OMG!)
He also says we broke Iraq (the whole Middle East), so those refugees are our responsibility too. Forever?

Let me be clear, we did not break Somalia, we did not break Syria, we did not break the DR Congo, and we did not break Burma or Bhutan either, so why are those refugees our responsibility?

They are coming to America because the UN tells us what to do, and we do it!

Here is a portion of his press release from yesterday.  And you can read more about him at the Idaho Statesman here.

The news release continues, click here.
stealth-invasion
We have an extensive archive on Idaho here, including many posts from World Net Daily and Breitbart, two leading publications reporting on the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program where reporters have become experts on the USRAP (unlike Justice Jones).
Don’t miss World Net Daily reporter Leo Hohmann’s new book! “Stealth Invasion” here.
Now that the justice is retired he might like to educate himself and rethink shooting out press releases like the one above.

US State Dept. announces 'new' program to admit Iraqis persecuted by ISIS

Frankly folks, I’m suspicious.  If the Obama Administration had any interest in saving the Yazidis, what took them so long? And, why this new category of refugee just as Obama exits the White House.

trump-serious
My opinion is that this is a political move to shame Trump if he tries to slow the massive flow from Iraq.

My first thought upon reading this article at Voice of America (VOA) is that the State Dept. is setting up this special category of Iraqi refugee (btw, we admitted 122,532 Iraqis over Obama’s 8 years), so when Trump comes in and tries to pause the program from certain terror-producing regions of the world, the Left/Dems will scream and holler that he is opposed to saving Yazidis, Christians and other religious minorities.
A brief mention of the Center for American Progress by Voice of America makes me suspicious and my guess is that this story was fed to VOA by CAP.  You know that is the group John Podesta created with George Soros and the Clintons (see my 2009 post) and if you enjoyed reading John Podesta’s Wikileaks e-mails you will recognize the name Neera Tanden who is CAP’s Prez. and was on the Clinton team.

The article reads like we haven’t been hauling Iraqis to America by the tens of thousands during the Obama Administration (see numbers below).

Voice of America:
WASHINGTON —

The U.S. government is working to permanently resettle hundreds of Iraqis who were victims of Islamic State (IS) violence.

lawrence-bartlett
Bartlett is most likely a career government employee. Trump will appoint someone above him as Asst. Sec. of State for PRM, but like all federal agencies there will be many entrenched bureaucrats working their own angles against Trump policies.

Larry Bartlett, director of the Office of Refugee Admissions at the State Department told VOA that the U.S. is coordinating with the U.N. Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to bring in hundreds of Iraqis to several to be determined locations in the U.S. Most of them are Yazidis and Christians whose communities were uprooted by IS. Many of them suffered brutality and torture at the hands of IS.

[….]

The resettlement efforts mark the first widespread attempt by the U.S. to admit Iraqis who survived under IS. [So who was persecuting the 122,000 plus we admitted in the last 8 years?—ed]

[….]

“We confirmed that Yazidis were the most traumatized [and] were the most victimized,” Bartlett said. “But there are other groups that were also affected by [IS] such as Christians and other religious minorities up there in the north.”

[….]

“We would expect that within a course of a year we would do hundreds of people,” Bartlett said. “One of the things we want to focus on is resettling families as a whole. There have been other programs in the past where just some of the victims were resettled for treatment. We are looking at this differently. We are looking at this as a family unity program of linking families together as much as possible.” [And, we haven’t been bringing families?—ed]

There is more, continue reading here.
BTW, interesting that Bartlett is making this announcement.  Is Anne Richard (Asst. Sec. of State for Population, Refugees and Migration) busy packing up her office?

So let’s look at the numbers for Iraqi refugees admitted to the US since Obama took office!

And, remember readers that refugees by definition are supposed to be escaping persecution for one of several reasons (including race, religion, political views).
From the very beginning I have asked: so if Sunni Muslims persecute Shiite Muslims in Iraq and vice versa, does it make any sense to bring in both warring factions, and place them in your towns as we have been doing for over 8 years (Bush reluctantly opened the Iraqi flood gates at the end of his Administration).
From Fiscal Year 2009 until December 1, 2016 (8 fiscal years and a few months) we admitted to the US 122,532 Iraqi refugees (in some of those years Iraqis were the top ethnic group we resettled).
The numbers break down like this:

Sunni Muslims: 44,367

Shiite Muslims: 32,766

Moslems (not specified): 1,887

Catholics: 13,306

Christians (not specified): 21,173

Yazidis: 1,215

There were many other groups, including some other Christian denominations that were smaller in number.
So, I will ask again, who was persecuting the Muslims? Are they persecuting each other and thus they are eligible for refugee status? Sure looks like it!
For ambitious readers, this is the 715th post I’ve written about Iraqi refugees, see Iraqi category here.

Ten US cases of refugee Islamic terror arrests/convictions

I’ve been procrastinating about writing this post, because it required work!
I had to go back through my over 2,000 posts on refugee crimes, here, and pull out Islamic terror cases involving refugees. I chose ten, not for any other reason than these ten below are at the top of my mind. And, I think ten is enough to counter the disinformation campaign going on.
For good measure, I have also added (below) a few spectacular crimes involving Muslim refugees.
But, I have to do it (to write this) because clearly the refugee industry has sent out talking points that I am seeing parroted many times each day which pretty much go like this: no refugee has committed an act of terror in the US.  LOL! And, maybe that is because many were arrested and convicted BEFORE they could do anything!
And, let me ask you, when evaluating the fact that you (as a taxpayer) paid for a refugee’s opportunity to come to America and in some cases below even paid to raise the refugee to adulthood, does it matter for your anger level that he/she planned to kill Americans or planned to kill some innocents somewhere else in the world?  So when the refugee advocates make a distinction about the location of the wannabe jihadist’s target, it’s a difference without a distinction to me!
Here are ten that come to mind:
~The Somali (Mohamed Osman Mohamud) arrested on charges he planned to blow up a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Oregon was a refugee.  See here in 2010. He was arrested as he planned to detonate a bomb.

mohanad-hammadi
Kentucky refugee terrorist Mohanad Hammadi is serving a life sentence. ” Hammadi also admitted to lying on U.S. immigration paperwork about his involvement in Iraqi insurgent operations against American troops.” https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2016/06/19/kentucky-one-of-two-convicted-iraqi-refugee-terrorists-wants-his-sentence-reduced/

~ Two Iraqi refugees were convicted on charges that they helped Al Qaeda in Iraq and may have killed American servicemen there.  They lied on their refugee applications. Best coverage of 2011 case here by ABC News.  The entire Iraqi flow to America had to be re-screened that year!
~In 2012 Abdullatif Ali Aldosary (an Iraqi refugee) set off a bomb at a Social Security Office in Arizona. Sentenced here.
~As successful asylum seekers, the Boston Bombers were refugees who had benefited from America’s generosity. One of many stories here about the 2012 deadly Boston Marathon attack by the Tsarnaev brothers (Chechens).
~In 2013 Fazliddin Kurbanov was arrested in Idaho and later convicted on terrorism charges. Kurbanov is an Uzbek refugee. See here.
~In early 2016 an Iraqi refugee (Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan) living in Texas was accused of planning to bomb a local popular mall, see story at Newsweek.
~In September 2016, a Somali refugee went on a stabbing spree at a mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Learn more here about Dahir Adan.  Knife attacks are signature terror acts for devout Muslims.
~Also in September, the Chelsea bomber, Ahmad Rahimi, was arrested and we learned his family came to the US from Afghanistan and were given asylum.  We need to be paying more attention to these asylum seekers since they enter the country completely unscreened and their numbers are on the rise. Story at CNN.  Once granted asylum they are given all the same rights and privileges as the refugees we fly in.
~And, we can’t forget the most recent successful attack by Somali refugee slasher, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, at Ohio State, see here.
~For number ten, I’m lumping the dozens of wannabe Somali refugee jihadists (mostly from Minnesota) who have been identified and/or convicted of wanting to leave the country to fight for al-Shabaab or ISIS. See here Several like those in that recent case, were convicted.

Now, here are some horrible crimes I’ve reported over the years!

Esar Met, listens to proceedings in Judge Judith Atherton's court room, at the Matheson Courthouse in Salt Lake City, Thursday, January 9, 2014. Esar Met is accused of killing 7-year-old Hser Ner Moo, who disappeared on March 31, 2008.
Medical examiner said 7-year-old little girl died in “excruciating pain.” https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/01/14/utah-medical-examiner-little-girl-suffered-excruciating-pain-before-dying-from-tear-to-heart/

And remember not only did you pay for the refugee’s trip to America and his welfare when he got here, but now you will pay for (in many cases) their lives in prison.
~It is hard to rank murder cases, but for me the top of the list is a horrible rape and murder of a Christian refugee child in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2008.  The Burmese Muslim murderer (Esar Met) is now incarcerated for life. The child was the youngest child and only daughter of a Burmese Christian family.
~In 2013 a Somali refugee in North Dakota was sentenced to life in prison for the 2011 murder of a native American family he had become involved with.
~In this case in 2014, an Iraqi refugee murdered his wife (she was going to leave him in 2012) and he penned a fake note trying to pin the murder on Islamophobes in the neighborhood. He was found guilty here and he wasn’t too happy about it! Even CAIR had gotten involved when he tried to pin the murder on Islamophobic Americans.
~And this is an awful case from Colorado where a gang of Iraqi refugees brutally raped a local Colorado Springs woman—“the worst case in Colorado history.” Diana West did a great investigative report on the story, here, at Townhall.
~And, if you have never seen the 2009 Roanoke, VA kidnapping story, don’t miss it here!  No one ever accused these refugees of being too bright! By the way, these guys only got about 5 years so they are probably out roaming Anytown, USA right now. I doubt they were deported.
I’m sure I have more, but I want to move on to other news today.
Here is an idea!
If your town is having a public meeting on whether to ‘welcome’ refugees, you know the pro-refugee team will be there with their talking points. Maybe print this post out and take it along to counter them.  Or, better still, dig into some of these cases and be prepared with maybe even a poster with photos and talking points of your own!
And, when they tell you that refugees bring economic benefits to communities, ask if they are factoring in the costs of crime/trials/incarceration!

Students at William and Mary pushing for refugee resettlement for Williamsburg, VA

Update November 29th:  See tongue in cheek comment with a suggestion for Sam, below!
The biggest threats to the social order and economic viability of your community may be the little darlings at your local college or university (many of whom will graduate and go somewhere else in four short years).
college-of-william-and-mary

Readers in Virginia need to nip this in the bud.

Students are pushing for a city resolution welcoming the federal refugee contractors in to set up shop in the historic city. (Nevermind that there is little low cost housing because the students likely gobble it all up!).
Why is it so cool for the kids these days to want to bring in Syrian (mostly Muslim) refugees while not caring about the local American poor, disabled or struggling veterans?
From the Virginia Gazette:

William and Mary students want to make sure refugees know they are welcome in Williamsburg if and when the state sees fit. First step: getting the city council to pass a resolution to that effect.

In light of severe political unrest and danger in Syria, more than 10,000 refugees have entered the United States. They’ve settled in cities and towns across the country.

“The resolution would say that the city of Williamsburg would be willing to accept refugees were they to come,” senior student Andrew Vollavanh said.

He and other students decided to take the city resolution route after speaking with city staff. “We were trying to proceed in a legislative fashion,” Vollavanh said. “The mayor told us that probably wasn’t the best way to do it.”

Sam Steed is the Virginia legislative coordinator at Amnesty International and a student at the college.

Be sure to check out the information on Sam (photo caption at Virginia Gazette)!  He is from Massachusetts and wants a  job with Amnesty International when he graduates!
Looks like this is a national campaign aimed at college towns.

He said that resolutions similar to the one that they are trying to pass in Williamsburg have already passed in other cities, including Durham, North Carolina, New Paltz, New York, and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Williamsburg does not share all of the traits of those cities, but the students still want to push a resolution through. The federal government lets trusted non-governmental organizations [LOL! “trusted”!—ed] figure out where refugees can settle upon entering the U.S. They weigh characteristics like whether there is an existing immigrant community and housing availability.

Continue reading as they repeat the refugee industry’s talking points that seem to be springing up everywhere.  These are the three main talking points we have addressed in the past:

omar-al-harden
Omar al Harden an Iraqi refugee plead guilty in Houston recently. He planned to bomb two area malls for ISIS. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2016/10/18/houston-tx-iraqi-refugee-pleads-guilty-in-isis-bomb-plot-so-much-for-screening/

~Only women and children! So we are expected to believe that these Middle Eastern and African women are going to live without their men for the next couple of decades. There is this thing called “family reunification.”
~Thoroughly vetted! But, no one tells the students that the Director of the FBI has testified to Congress that the Syrians can’t be vetted because there is no documentation on them from the failed state of Syria. In spite of that, Obama shortened ‘screening’ for Syrians from 18-24 months down to 3 months.
~No terrorist arrests in the refugee population in the US! Amazing to me that they tell this bald-faced lie when there is plenty of documentation of Islamic terrorist arrests and convictions (caught before they acted!) in the US refugee population.
I told readers about a few cases off the top of my head here when Church World Service was spinning in Poughkeepsie. One of these days I guess I will have to go back through my refugee crimes category and pull out all the Islamic terror/crime stories from the last 9 years involving refugees.
And, if you live nearby don’t miss this:

Students at the campus chapter of Amnesty International will hold a forum on Nov. 29 where experts will talk about some of the nuances involved in accepting refugees.

See more of the story at the Virginia Gazette.
And, one final thought.  Since Williamsburg is an independent city with as they admit little housing for poor people, the kids would presumably have to sell this idea on surrounding counties.
Editor (update): Here is a fun comment from a reader making a suggestion for Sam (sent to my personal email):

Sam Steed from Massachusetts, a student at William and Mary, wants to turn Williamsburg into a welcoming city for refugees, does he? Well, I’d say he doesn’t go far enough.
So, Sam, here’s what I propose you do to gain credibility — Before you ask the city of Williamsburg to welcome refugees, you and fellow do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do students must step forward and offer to adopt individual refugees and their families, prepare them for assimilation into America, and then take them home to Mom and Dad for a lesson in cultural diversity. The refugees can be a real-life report card, like show and tell: this is what your tuition bought. Deal with it, Mom and Dad, or else you’re a racist and a bigot and a xenophobe.
What do you say, Sam? Amnesty International might hire you early!
