CAIR joins the gang to celebrate Immigrant Heritage Month (to change America by changing the people?)

CAIR logoBefore you read CAIR’s press release check out the gang at Welcome.us.  Some of CAIR’s partners include:  LaRaza, Welcoming America, SEIU, International Rescue Committee and facebook!  There are also colleges, public libraries and Chambers of Commerce in the group.
They are gathering immigrant “stories.”  If you haven’t noticed, leftwing community organizers love telling heartwarming STORIES.  The stories are central to their media campaign.  They are masters at this storytelling and have boatloads of money from rich foundations to do it.
There is no doubt that some immigrants shaped America in a positive way, but that was then and this is now and the numbers are too great and some of the ethnic groups we are inviting now have no intention of ever assimilating. They are here to change America!
It is our job to balance the news, to make sure the public knows the not-so-heartwarming stories as well and to speak for the average American citizen and worker who sees his or her job and unique American culture being lost!
Here is what CAIR says (hat tip: Robin):

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/28/15) – Today the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, announced its support of the second-annual Immigrant Heritage Month, an initiative to partner community organizations, elected officials, corporations, artists, and thought leaders to gather and share inspirational stories of American immigrants.

Immigrant-Heritage-Month“While nearly eight in ten American Muslims are immigrants, the history of United States Muslim immigration goes back more than 400 years. As the most racially-diverse religious group in the U.S., we celebrate the diversity of the American Muslim immigrant experience and encourage community members to participate in Immigrant Heritage Month and share their story of how they came to be U.S. citizens,” said CAIR Government Affairs Manager Robert McCaw.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is on the same team as CAIR/Hamas!

“America is a nation of immigrants. This is – and always has been – a source of incredible strength that unifies us all,” said Todd Schulte, President of FWD.us. “The strength, sacrifice, and contributions of the Muslim immigrant community helped build this great nation. To honor that, our goal with Immigrant Heritage Month this June is to highlight the intersections our immigrant experience and illuminate how each individual journey has been instrumental to the formation, foundation, and ongoing strength of the United States of America.”

Supporters are encouraged to connect with Immigrant Heritage Month through social media or events in their city and share their own unique immigration story.

Visit ‘welcome.us’ for more information on how to share your story and learn more about our nationwide effort.

Temporary Protected Status for Yemeni nationals
While I visited CAIR’s website, I noticed they, and many other Arab-American groups, petitioned the US Department of Homeland Security for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Yemenis in the US.  I am mentioning this to remind you that there are many other legal immigration programs that must be reformed or abolished!  TPS is a scam!

Mr. Open Borders himself, Jeb Bush, met with 'evangelicals' promoting refugee resettlement for Spartanburg, SC

Again, Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily reveals how even Republicans like former Gov. Jeb Bush are on the bandwagon to bring in more immigrants and refugees—is this for his big business donors’ desire for cheap labor?
What makes me so annoyed is to see  politicians, like Bush, co-opting a certain segment of the ‘evangelical’ community and making it sound like it is all about ‘welcoming the stranger’ rather than about the almighty dollar!

Let’s make Jeb an impossible!

For background, see our original post on Spartanburg/World Relief and Jason Lee here with updates.
This is how Hohmann’s article from last night begins (emphasis is mine):

A group of pastors met with presidential hopeful Jeb Bush earlier this month in South Carolina to try to get a feel for his candidacy.

Bush described the importance of his faith, saying he reads the Bible daily, and he shared his views on hot-button issues at the May 2 meeting in Spartanburg. The pastors’ ears perked up when the former Florida governor, who converted to Catholicism after marrying a Mexican woman, talked about immigration and refugees.

Bush’s history on this issue is consistent:

* In 2009, Bush sent a letter to Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis advocating an immigration plan developed by the Council on Foreign Relations. That report included in its recommendations an earned pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

* In February 2014 Bush was one of 10 national Republicans who signed a statement calling for the U.S. to import more refugees. Bush was joined in signing the document by Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform and a known supporter of Muslim Brotherhood front groups.

One of the pastors listening to Bush on May 2 in Spartanburg was Jason Lee, a local pastor who was tapped to be director of the new Spartanburg office of World Relief, which is a major player in the refugee resettlement business.

World Relief plans to bring in 60 refugees from Syria and Africa over the next year. The announcement that Muslim refugees would be arriving soon in this small Southern city brought no small measure of controversy, splitting the Christian community in half. Some want to welcome the refugees while others think the city already has enough poverty, unemployment and homeless veterans that need their attention.

The controversy has led to a proposed provision being added in the state budget that would require counties to sign off on plans for refugees before any funds could be released for their resettlement. The proposal has passed the state House but remains fluid in the Senate.

“This proviso would stop the resettlements in Spartanburg for at least a year because World Relief is not going to bring refugees here if they can’t sign them up for all the welfare benefits that flow through the state, because the churches do not support this program financially,” said Christina Jeffrey, a local Christian activist who comes down on the opposite side of the issue from Jason Lee.

“The people are very confused on this,” she said. “They think the churches support it with their own money.”

Lee said he was impressed by what he heard from Bush. In a twist of irony, the former Republican governor’s views on immigrants and refugees mesh with South Carolina’s religious left, more than the religious right.

Please read on.  There is much more especially about other Evangelical groups pushing back against the Leftist Evangelicals represented by World Relief.

NumbersUSA Presidential hopefuls scorecard on immigration and jobs

NumbersUSA logoAlthough they don’t have a score for positions on the Refugee Admissions Program of the US State Department and how it too affects jobs, NumbersUSA has two areas in which they score potential 2016 Presidential candidates that give some idea of where the candidate might stand on refugee resettlement—they score on that horrible Diversity visa lottery and chain migration.
See their scores here (Worker-protection immigration scorecard!)  I think you will find it as fascinating as I did!
Remember readers that the nine major federal resettlement contractors all support AMNESTY, Obama’s deportation moratorium, and actively lobbied for the Senate-passed ‘Gang of Eight’ bill.

Baltimore: Thousands of impoverished refugees poured into city in last ten years; fuel for the fire?

Is Baltimore a failed social experiment in the government’s (and big business’s) push for more diversity in your towns and cities?

Can we call it a first spectacular failure for Obama’s Task Force on New Americans plan to seed communities with third-worlders?

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service is one of the Top Nine refugee resettlement contractors in the country and it is headquartered in one of Baltimore’s better neighborhoods. This is what we said in 2014: Gotta keep up their real estate holdings! The Lutheran Center (LIRS headquarters) is a six-story structure constructed in 1999 on property owned by Baltimore’s historic Christ Lutheran Church. The building is located near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood, a charming area rich with history and an eclectic array of eateries and shopping venues. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/07/08/lutherans-may-be-operating-centers-for-unaccompanied-minors-in-your-state/

Baltimore, a majority African American (63%) city where we hear jobs are scarce and poverty is profound, with by several accounts amounting to 25% of the population living below the poverty level, the US State Department and its refugee resettlement contractors have nevertheless been pouring more diversity and consequently more poverty into the city for at least a decade.

In fact, Baltimore is a preferred refugee resettlement site according to the Office of Refugee Resettlement!

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake fell for the feds ‘progressive’ scheme here in 2012 when she said that bringing more refugees and immigrants to the city would boost the economy completely failing to understand that, just because African Americans are black, they wouldn’t simply ‘welcome’ the rainbow colors of the world to compete with them for jobs, housing and scarce social services.

The hard truth was revealed in the New York Times of all places.  African Americans don’t take kindly to diversity!

Here is one shocking little fact that was buried in a New York Times story about the recent riots:

Black gang leaders directed angry rioters to Asian and Arab shops while protecting stores owned and run by fellow African Americans.

Then he described how he and some Bloods had stood in front of black-owned stores to protect them from looting or vandalism. He said they had made sure no black children, or reporters, were hit by rioters. They pointed them toward Chinese- and Arab-owned stores. Charles said Mr. Gray had brought gangs together.

So much for the diversity-is-beautiful myth!

How much diversity has been brought to Baltimore to compete with poor African Americans?

This morning I went to the data base and checked out the numbers of refugees deposited in Baltimore since 2005.  I’m listing only countries of origin if there were more than 10 refugees resettled there. There were many other countries represented by smaller numbers.

Baltimore’s new diversity (these are newly resettled from abroad since 2005, not secondary migrants from elsewhere in the US):

Azerbaijan (10)

Bhutan (1,352)

Burma (1,109)

Burundi (11)

Cent. African Republic (16)

Congo (26)

DR Congo (253)

Eritrea (374)

Iran (136)

Iraq (404)

Liberia (99)

Nepal (10)

Pakistan (13)

Palestine (19)

Russia (196)

Somalia (217)

Sudan (225)

Syria (26)

Uzbekistan (36)

Vietnam (15)

All are in direct competition with African Americans for jobs, education, housing and social services.  And, these numbers do not include the thousands of illegal aliens welcomed to Baltimore in the last decade!

Conservative populist movement on immigration rising twenty years after Barbara Jordan said American workers must come first

As you watch Baltimore burn, think about the very real possibility that the rush to make Baltimore a multicultural immigrant ‘welcoming’ city is partially responsible for throwing gasoline on the fire as African Americans ask, where are the jobs?

Yesterday, Judy brought to our attention to this excellent article at National Review by John Fonte.   It is long, but a must read.

We have been beating this same drum for years—refugees are being brought into the US in large numbers primarily to supply cheap, captive (they can’t easily go home!) labor for big industries such as meatpacking.

In the case of the meatpackers, they pay lower wages to the foreign workers, and, if the worker is a refugee, you, the American taxpayer supports the family’s other needs through myriad social welfare programs.  It is a great business model, isn’t it!

The ‘religious’ resettlement contractors give the patina of humanitarianism to the program, but it is all about money and power!

The Chamber of Commerce cheers them on and Leftwing funders and foundations salivate over new Democrat voters flowing in to the country as they brainwash Americans into thinking that ‘diversity brings strength’ (just by saying it over and over again)!

Here (below) is Fonte at National Review.  I’ve just snipped a little bit from many paragraphs in to the article.  It is a shame that NR chose to put Governor Walker’s photo on the story since he does not (so far) have a deep connection to the ‘conservative populist movement’ on immigration.

In fact, if Walker came out strongly on the side of slowing LEGAL immigration to America his funding would dry up overnight!  But, if he did, he would have the best chance of being elected the next President of the US because the issue of immigration is THE motivating issue of the average American voter—both because of their domestic economic concerns and their security worries.

On April 15th, the New York Times denounced Senator Jeff Sessions for his campaign to save the American worker. Getting flak like that is the greatest affirmation that he is ‘over the target.’

Emphasis below is mine:

“An absolutely crucial (in some ways, the most important) part of the emerging conservative populist coalition is the committed citizens who spend hours directly contacting their elected representatives. A large number of Republicans in Congress are on the fence on immigration and will listen carefully to their most determined constituents. Grassroots conservatives are joined together in groups like Schlafly’s Eagle Forum, Numbers USA, Heritage Action, and the Tea Party Patriots. It is not an exaggeration to report that in congressional district after congressional district, conservative activists are fighting Big Business lobbyists, not just for the future of the Republican party but, more significantly, for the future of the American constitutional regime as a whole.

The immigration narrative articulated by conservative populists is winning more and more adherents. At the most fundamental level, this narrative argues that immigration policy should serve American national interests and the interests of American citizens — not the special interests of business, union, political, and ethnic elites. As will be discussed later, the populist narrative today bears striking similarities to the Barbara Jordan immigration plan of 20 years ago.”

I’ve wondered for the last nearly 8 years if the liberal local do-gooders who promote refugee resettlement understand that they are shilling for big business and Republican elites?

“Opposite the conservative populists stands a formidable elite coalition consisting of Big Business, Big Labor, the Obama administration, the entire liberal establishment, the Republican donor class, and the mainstream media. This coalition favors greatly increasing legal immigration for both low-skilled and high-skilled workers, as well as providing amnesty for illegal immigrants. The elite coalition claims that it is speaking for American interests in strengthening our economy, expanding economic growth, and creating jobs. The American economy, the elites tell us, needs massive infusions of both low- and high-skilled labor. Their core argument is that there is a “worker shortage” in America.”

A worker shortage?  Do those Baltimore youths rioting in the streets think there is a worker shortage?

Read it all here.

And, even if it doesn’t seem like anyone is listening, don’t be silenced!  Keep pounding the message to your elected officials at all levels of government.
