Trump: "possibly" bring some Syrians to the US

This news is four days old, but I heard it tonight on Fox as I arrived home from DC.

Which Syrians Donald?

Here is what CNN reported over the holiday (and Fox repeated):

(CNN)Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Friday that the Syrian refugee crisis is “so horrible” that he would consider allowing the U.S. to accept some of the displaced refugees.

When asked whether the United States should assist European countries and accept some of the refugees on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Trump said, “We have so many problems, and the answer is, possibly, yes.”

All I can say is that by now Trump has access to some of the most knowledgeable people in the country on immigration issues and he better get boned-up on this issue pretty quickly because the question (and decision by Obama) of the number of Syrian refugees the US will be dropping off in your towns is coming at us like a freight train.

I’ll be very surprised if candidates are not asked about our refugee policy at the upcoming CNN debate.

The most important question is how many, but not far behind is the one I have not heard one mainstream media outlet mention—will we be taking in mostly Muslim Syrians as we have already?  Or, are we going to prioritize the persecuted Christians? I think the average America, who knows nothing about what is going on with refugees, simply ASSUMES the Christians are at the head of the line when in fact they are not!

And, not far behind the questions about number and religion is another biggie—are we going to forego normal security screening?

Editor:  This is a comment we received from a regular reader ‘misterpaul5a’ to this post this morning.  To say he is frustrated would be a gross understatement. The events of the last week should be galvanizing all of us to do more, to dig deeper into our reserves of energy, to save Western Civilization for OUR children and grandchildren.

Once again Cameron has reneged on a promise. “We will not be taking refugees, we will be taking refugees”, “we will reduce immigrants to TENS OF THOUSANDS” (as if that were not thousands more than we need) instead of which we took in ,wait for it, 350,000. These people simply have no SHAME. What a coward he is proving to be. In the Obama mold to a great extent The man is a pathetic puppet being pulled this way and that by forces we do not see but certainly devoid of courage.

The only person we can trust in British politics today is Nigel Farage. The only person in the USA, Donald Trump.

Without a shadow of doubt we are heading for a disaster of EPIC proportions unless there is a complete sea-change in our handling of this massive fraud perpetrated on the civilized West.

This state of affairs just cannot continue. I have been of a conservative nature all of my life until fairly recently, having chosen the UKIP path a couple of years ago. BUT! There MUST be a revolt by the people who really keep our countries afloat, and that is the put-upon guys and gals who, whether they like it or not, are having their hard- earned funds, in the form of taxes, snatched away from them at every turn – simply to be spent on a work-shy, bed-hopping, alcohol -swilling, dope-peddling, self-centred underclass of Orwellian proportions.

I am no longer able to carry the flag forward at any great pace – my batteries are running down. But even at my age I know I would be able to lend a hand to those true folk who are willing to, take up the challenge and oust the self-seeking jerks who call themselves ‘politicians’ – what a grubby, lying, greedy breed they are.

And the most shameful thing of all in the coming years will be those among us who will further disgrace our ranks by putting their crosses against the names of Muslims both in the USA and in Europe on voting slips, thus contributing to our own impending downfall.

NO! I have NOT given-in! But the stark warning I have been giving in these pages, consistently since I joined the discussions, is that we cannot blame anyone but ourselves for the tragedies to come – our kids and grandchildren will curse their elders til the end of time if the challenge of the evil of Islam is not faced – AND NOW!

If your town is taking HUD housing dollars, diversity, in the form of third world refugees, is on the way

I’m old enough to remember the time when Rep. Mo Udall wanted the federal government to control all land use decisions (zoning) in America (yes, he really did!) and the Left has been angling for that power for all the decades since.  Udall’s mission, of course, was to protect the environment from developers (as one of its goals), Obama has another mission—to fundamentally change America by changing the people and will actually use developers happy to take the federal dollars to build low income housing in the midst of middle and upper class American neighborhoods (and don’t count on your elected officials to save you as they are addicted to federal cash!).

Forty years later, Obama is pulling off what Udall couldn’t—federal control of zoning decisions with his Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing program, and the US Supreme Court*** has agreed that the federal government has this power!
People ask me all the time, how do I know if refugees are coming to my town?  Well, here is one way to find out, see how entwined your local government is with HUD and local developers thrilled with the federal bucks coming their way.  HUD money=seeding diversity in your town or city!

On July 16, HUD provided its overreaching final version of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule known as AFFH.

Claiming to further the purposes and policies of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, HUD will dangle federal dollars as an incentive to direct communities to “take significant actions to overcome historic patterns of segregation, achieve truly balanced and integrated living patterns, promote fair housing choice, and foster inclusive communities that are free from discrimination.”

In other words, communities must accept HUD’s brand of racial integration by building low-income housing in America’s neighborhoods following new stringent federal zoning requirements or lose eligibility for community development block grants — federal funding to which communities have become addicted.

No need for a citizen driven comprehensive plan or those pesky local land use planning boards.

Contact your local elected government and the planning department.  Find out who has their fingers in the cookie jar to the detriment of your town.
***Here is the White House crowing about the decision.
Endnote:  Go here to see if a refugee resettlement contractor is working near you.  Keep in mind that these contractors can deposit refugees within a hundred miles of their office.  I have said this before, but it is worth repeating, if you don’t know if refugees are planned for your town, then contact your local elected officials, the local health department and the local education department and start asking questions!  If they are coming, someone has been (quietly!) notified.

Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily has been doing the best, most detailed, work by far of any American journalist in chronicling the actions of the US Refugee Admissions Program with a critical eye.  Checking our archives I see that we have posts about Hohmann’s indepth research into the UN-driven refugee program beginning at least as early as the summer of 2014.

A petition making the rounds very reasonably demands that decisions to resettle refugees in American towns must involve local citizens in the decision-making process. As of this morning 2,351 of you have signed it. In light of the news coming from Europe in just the last few days, and that the push is on for an astounding number of Syrian Muslims to be admitted to the US beginning 4 weeks from now–65,000-100,000!–maybe it is a moratorium we should be demanding! Are we being too nice, too reasonable in the face of a death blow to America which is what 65,000 would be? http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/no-refugee-resettlement-without-local-ok.html

This past week he produced three articles which easily serve as tutorials on what is happening in Europe as the invasion there reaches new and frightening heights and links it to activities in the US in certain ‘pockets of resistance’ where citizens are demanding and expecting answers about what the federal government and its nine hand-picked resettlement contractors (which monopolize all decisions in the US on refugees) have planned for your towns.
I urge all of you, especially new readers, to read all three important pieces, at least one of which was featured on the Drudge Report.  Then sign the petition. ***Update*** in addition to Hohmann’s reports urging readers to sign the petition, I see an American Thinker writer is also urging readers to sign, here.
Because Hohmann has written extensively on the topic, each article links back to previous news and thus is very useful to new readers who want to quickly catch up on the issue of the century!   Why do I say that?  Because what we (and Europe) do about migration right now will determine whether Western Civilization lives or dies—it is that simple.

Petitions!

The resettlement contractors started a White House petition (less than a week ago) urging Obama to admit 65,000 Syrians to the US in FY2016.  They have 35,477 signatures to date! (how many Syrians and others in the Middle East have signed?)
Just a reminder! Of the thousand or so Syrians we have admitted to the US in 2015, 97% are Muslims (data at the US State Department).  That number will not change much going forward because the UNHCR is picking our refugees from their camps housing Muslim, mostly Sunni, Syrians!   We are not saving the Christians! 
And, I see they have a new petition posted Thursday to lift the ceiling from the usual 70,000 refugees a year from all countries to 140,000 for FY2016 (which begins in 4 weeks).

Is it time for us to start using the ‘M’ word—moratorium!—because our national security is at risk!

Rush Limbaugh on European refugee crisis and Syrians to the US

And, now they are in a terrible migration crisis that Limbaugh called an “invasion” yesterday.

So now the same kind of idealist leftist head-in-the-sand goofballs opened their borders long ago, political correctness overwhelmed them, they became possessed with the same kind of guilt that leftists in this country have, and so now there is no Great Britain in terms of cultural identity. France is on the way to losing its. All of these European nations are, because all they have to do is cross one border, these refugees, these migrants, and that isn’t that hard if you’re doing it in Greece or Italy where the controls are not all that hot to trot to begin with. And once you’re there, you can flood any nation in Europe that you want, which they’re doing.

You have these leftist, socialist leaders in all these countries saying that we have no right to say that we are any better than they are. We have no right to say that our culture is superior to theirs. We have no right. We have no right. And so they’re being overrun, and they’re being overrun for a host of reasons: economic, some of it is strategic, some of it’s being promoted by militant Islamist leaders who are on the path of creating a giant caliphate in Europe.

It’s serious, serious stuff. And the one thing, the one thing that has protected the United States from this kind of thing is these two oceans. It’s very hard for these refugees to flood this country, compared to flooding Europe, because they’ve gotta get over an ocean one way or the other, unless they end up in Central America. That’s our one vulnerability, and who is not doing anything about that, per se? That’s right. The Obama administration.

So what is needed in things like this is absolute policy solutions and people capable of coming up with them. Instead, one of the things that’s happening right now all over Washington, dweeb after dweeb after dweeb is dreaming of being the guy that takes Trump out. All kinds of people are trying to figure out a way to do it, to expose Trump for the fraud that he is. Meanwhile, our current administration, our current leadership has put this country at greater risk than we have been in since World War II, folks.

Rush has the number wrong.  It isn’t 300,000 Syrians coming to the US (yet), but at least 13 million listeners (or whatever his audience size is!) know that Syrian (mostly Muslim) resettlement is in the plan for your towns.

Stop and think, folks: No passport. Once you get past Italy or Greece, you’re free to go anywhere that is the European Union. Show your passport one time. Well, you know how easy it is to get in. You swarm the border, you mob the border. Look how easy it is to get through our southern border. And Obama, by the way, is taking care of the problem. Obama’s fixing it. Obama is importing Syrian refugees.

I don’t know how many people are aware of this, but we are taking a certain number of Syrian and other Middle Eastern refugees in record numbers now, by presidential directive. They are being allowed entry. We’re bringing them here. We’re actually flying them here ourselves and then we are positioning them all over the country when we get them here.

We’re choosing where they live. I think in the case of Syrian refugees, there’s a number floating around my head of 300,000. I don’t know over what time period that is, 70 to 300 thousand.

As we have been reporting every day lately, the push is on to pressure Obama to admit 65,000 Syrians by the end of 2016. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (a federal resettlement contractor being paid by the head to bring refugees to your town) yesterday upped the demand to 100,000 Syrians in an overall refugee admissions number of 200,000 (approximately 70,000 third worlders have been admitted to the US by the Obama Administration  in each recent year).  And, as we have chronicled for years on these pages, even 70,000 is too large a number for communities and welfare systems to absorb!
Obama will be making a decision this month when he sends his “Determination Letter” to Congress (just about the same time the Pope visits Washington!).  The NYT hints that an announcement may come at that time.
