RRW weekly roundup for week ending July 25, 2015

I’m late, I know, but I just got lazy this weekend.  This is my charitable work after all, so I figure I can goof off now and again. Right!
This morning I’m waking up to news that Donald Trump may have shot his campaign in the foot when he slipped into the mumbo-jumbo about pathways to citizenship for illegals last week.  See Daniel Greenfield here.  It is one thing to stand up for the American people with his broad brush approach up to now, but he must begin to understand the issues in a deeper way (pretty quickly) or his lack of understanding will show on the debate stage on August 6th.
If I could tell Mr. Trump what to do, I would tell him to consult the experts and study—morning, noon, and night—from now until August 6th!
I’m digressing.  Here are our Top Three Posts of last week (Top daily posts are in the right hand side bar).

1) How did Chattanooga shooter’s family get here?

2) Center for Security Policy releases ‘Red-Green Axis: the agenda to erase America!’

3) Refugee Resettlement Fact Sheet

I’m interested to see that our Fact Sheet is back in the top three, but we really need to update it …one of these days!
Here are our Top Ten Countries from which readers arrived at RRW last week (excluding the US):

UK

Canada

Germany

Australia

New Zealand

EU

India

Norway

Turkey*

Austria

* Last week I commented about Turkey making the top ten and a reader from Turkey, who says he/she is interviewing prospective refugees to be sent to the US, commented saying he/she is responsible for some of those visitors from Turkey.  I think you should read the comments and my responses, here.  It became pretty clear that whoever this is working for a non-profit contractor interviewing refugees to come to America holds a low regard for Christians as he gloats:

(Btw, Christians make up about 30% of Middle Eastern refugees I currently process. Bad newz for you though: Above half are illiterate and suffer from congenital diseases observed in much higher frequencies than in rest of Iraq and Syria. Hold on to your local health budget folks! Fellow Christians are coming!)

For new readers, please visit a recent roundup here for instructions on how to make the most out of your visits to RRW.
One last thing, follow me on twitter.  I am trying to use that social media format to get stories out that are related to this issue which I don’t have time to post on, and I also tweet all of my posts if you don’t want to subscribe.  I’m here @refugeewatcher.

In 2014, your tax dollars paid 97% of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration Fund budget

Kevin appleby
Unless his salary is paid from the few million dollars they receive from private donors, you pay his salary to promote amnesty, more refugees, and more Unaccompanied Alien Children importation. The Bishops were a leading advocacy group in favor of so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform which failed to pass Congress in 2013.

Last night, most interested in learning more about the US Conference of Catholic Bishop’s paid lobbyist, Kevin Appleby, who lobbies for amnesty among other things, I was pleased to find the 2014 Annual Report for the US Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration Fund.

By the way, according to Guidestar, the Bishops don’t have to file a Form 990 with the IRS because they are a “church.”  So, we can’t find out what salary and benefits package Mr. Appleby is pulling down.  Whatever happened to the separation of church and state?
Unbelievable!  Here is a link to the report, or see below as a pdf we downloaded (so it doesn’t disappear anytime soon!).
2014-MRS-Annual-Report
Go to page 3 to learn what YOU are paying for.
Now check out page 10!

Income from Federal Grants/Agreements………….$79,590,512

Travel loan Collection Fees (your money too)……$3,401,622***

Total Revenue…………………………………………………..$85,506,950

*** Refugees are required to repay their airfare, however the USCCB does the collecting and is permitted to keep a cut for themselves.  In other words, the entire amount of the travel loan is not returned to the US Treasury.

That means that YOU, US taxpayers, are funding the Bishops to the tune of 97% of their budget.
They could not exist without putting their hands into Caesar’s treasury!
I’ll have more tomorrow because I want to give this to you in little bites.
By the way, we had seen their annual report for 2012, but hadn’t seen one since. In 2014 they received around $16 million more from you than they did in 2012!  Did the record number of Unaccompanied Alien Children they encouraged to come to the southern border account for the jump in income?  We know the USCCB has been compensated for years to take care of the UACs.
Endnote:  We have written about the USCCB and its government funding on many previous occasions, but since we have so many new readers and since our friend Jim Simpson has just come out with his report on the Red-Green Axis which includes the role the Catholic Church has played in advancing the agenda of the open borders political Left, I’m looking into all this again.

How did Chattanooga shooter's family get here?

I haven’t seen anyone find the definitive answer yet. Have you?
Andy McCarthy, here, further elaborates on their ‘Palestinian’ origins, and tells us the family came when Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez was an infant.  He was born in 1990.

Abdulazeez family
The apparently not-so-happy Abdulazeez family. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3165737/Muslim-Marine-murderer-s-father-sexually-assaulted-wife-beat-son-wanted-second-wife-allowed-Islamic-law.html

We take very few ‘Palestinian’ refugees (I’ve remarked many times that the Palestinian problem is never solved by the UN because they need to continue the thorn in Israel’s side, but that is a story for another day).
I hate to speculate, but will anyway.  There is a chance that this family was very likely among those being expelled from Kuwait (to Jordan) at the time of the first Gulf War.  The father is reportedly a Palestinian who could very well have been a successful asylum seeker just as had been the father of the Tsarnaev Boston Bomber family.  In the Tsarnaev case the father got into the US on his own and then asked for asylum.  Once granted political refugee status he then brought the rest of the family over.

By the way, we wouldn’t be speculating if the US State Department and its resettlement agencies in Tennessee would talk!

ORR Annual reports to Congress hold much information

I went back to the Office of Refugee Resettlement Annual Reports to Congress to see what we were doing in the early 1990’s in Jordan and Kuwait.  For those of you doing research, these are a treasure-trove of information.
In the first half of the 1990’s we took no refugees from either Kuwait or Jordan, however, much to my surprise the reports in the early 1990’s included the nationalities of successful asylum seekers.  Unfortunately by the 1995 report this feature was dropped from subsequent reports.
However…
Go here to the Annual Report for 1994 and see Table 14 on Page A-24.
From 1990-1994 we accepted 85 asylum seekers from Kuwait and 66 from Jordan.  Could this be how the Abdulazeez family gained legal immigrant status in the US?
Again, we don’t know yet, or at least I haven’t seen reports yet on how exactly this family gained access to a legal life in Tennessee, but, this gave me an opportunity to mention the Annual Reports to all of you concerned activist citizens who are researching what has been done to your states.
Completely changing the subject….I was interested to see (in that same 1994 report) a table on the distribution of ‘unaccompanied minors’ that year.  We distributed 8,416 of those ‘unaccompanied minors’ to your towns as early as 1994.

Let's have a look at Ohio!

On Monday I’ll be talking to a group in Ohio and so for those folks I’ve gathered some information on a state that seems to be newly targeted by Obama’s friends at Welcoming America.  I first told you about that here in July 2013, and again here yesterday.

Top resettlement cities are Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo and Akron.

Ohio numbers….

Ohio has been receiving over 2,000 refugees a year since 2012, and all told in the last ten years it received 21,230.  (See data base here.)  I was surprised to find it that high.  For comparison Delaware hardly gets any (zero in 2014) and Texas is getting over 7,000 a year.
In fiscal year 2014, Ohio received the 7th highest number of refugees in the country.
The Obama Administration and the politically Far Left federal resettlement contractors probably recognize the electoral value of Ohio, so they want to make sure it becomes a reliably Democrat-voting state.
The states higher on the 2014 list than Ohio (2,815) in the last fiscal year are in descending order:  Texas, California, New York, Michigan, Florida and Arizona.
In the ten year analysis, the Bhutanese (6,607) saw the highest number of their ethnic group settled in Ohio followed by Somalis (5,611). Iraqis were next with 2,617.  Remember though that especially with the Somalis, Ohio likely saw the Somali number increase more rapidly as secondary migrants (resettled elsewhere in the US) went to mostly Columbus to join their fellow Somalis to establish a large Somali enclave there. The secondary migrants are not reflected in that 5,611 number.
The years with the highest number of Somalis resettled were 2005 and 2006 (Bush years!).
Most Somalis were resettled in Columbus (over 4,700 of the over 5,000) with Cleveland getting 322 directly resettled there from Africa.  But, interestingly 21 other towns and cities got Somalis, albeit in smaller numbers.
Remember the Columbus subsidized housing riot in 2012!  How would you like to see this in your home town?

The resettlement contractors and cities they are colonizing…

For new readers there are nine major federal contractors.  Five of the nine dominate Ohio.  Here is a handy list to find their contact information. (The ORR list is not just for Ohio, but for the whole country.)

US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants works in Akron, Cleveland

US Conference of Catholic Bishops works in Cleveland, Cincinatti and Dayton

Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society works in Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo

Church World Service is in Columbus

World Relief is in Columbus

Go here for all of the posts we have written on Ohio over the years.  They had a recent terrorist arrest case there (Somali of course!).
And be sure to see my previous post on employment outcomes for refugees.  Ohio’s employment numbers are pretty abysmal!

Fiscal Year 2014 Refugee Employment Entered Rates: These rates stink!

Check out this map I came across today in my research.  It is at the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) website and represents the caseload of refugees getting help from federal programs to find employment in each state.  You pay for this! Now look at the employment rates!
Holy cow!  Some of these are really low.  So much for the idea that refugees quickly become self-sufficient!
If I were ORR I would be embarrassed to publish this information!
If I’m reading this correctly, why are we sending so many refugees to Texas (just as one example) when only 46% are finding employment. And there are states with even much lower rates than that. Geez, look at Florida!

Kind of makes you wonder if indeed the Cloward-Piven strategy (use the poor to bring on the revolution) is alive and well under Obama!
