French court will allow migrant camp at Calais to be razed

It is about time!
Invasion of Europe news….
I have been wondering for years why France has permitted this intolerable situation to fester (see our many reports going back several years by clicking here).
It strikes me that the sensible solution for all European countries (in addition to closing their borders! and turning boats back!) is to create proper camps for the migrants where they could live in decent conditions, but in a CAMP (not out mingling with the native population), while each one is legally sorted out. If they have a legitimate asylum claim expedite it, and if they don’t deport them.

The insane situation at Calais has developed because the migrants don’t want to seek asylum in France and are holding out for the big prize, the UK.
They want the UK to open its doors and invite them in. That isn’t going to happen, so they are attempting to illegally cross the channel and plan to disappear into Great Britain.
If all migrants who arrive in Europe know they will be living in CAMPS, supervised by the Red Cross or UN for perhaps months/years as they are processed, then, I believe, it would help deter the flow into Europe in the first place.
Here is the latest news from AP:

A French court gave the state the green light Thursday to raze makeshift tents and lean-tos used by hundreds of migrants at a sprawling slum in Calais, where many dream of slipping into Britain.

Tamping down fears of a violent confrontation, France’s interior minister promised to treat the migrants humanely and not send in bulldozers to evict them.

The camp in the northern port city — known as “the jungle” — has been an embarrassing chapter in Europe’s migrant crisis, and France announced this month that its densely populated southern half would be razed. The move prompted rights groups and migrant advocates to sue.

Officials say moving migrants out of the Calais slum will be a better solution for all, since many have been languishing in poverty and hopelessness after nearby borders have been sealed by increasing security. Officials estimate the number of migrants who will be affected at 800 to 1,000, while humanitarian organizations say over 3,000 migrants live there.

I think we have a hint at why the camp is now going to be razed! The political “far-right” is gaining power and the politicians are worried!

Moving the migrants out will be France’s most dramatic step yet to end Calais’ yearslong migrant problem, which has transformed the city of nearly 80,000 into a high-security tension point, fueled far-right sentiment and defied British and French efforts to make the issue go away.

Is 'Refugees Welcome' partly to blame for American nanny's murder in Vienna?

You’ve probably heard the news of her murder, but will the mainstream media mention her death was allegedly at the hands of an African asylum seeker?

A young Colorado woman working as a nanny in Austria was found murdered in her apartment last week and an African ‘asylum seeker’ has been arrested in the case. (This is a different case, although similar, to the American murdered in a similar fashion in Italy).
As European countries have opened their gates to ‘refugees’ from all over the world, it is no wonder that murderers, rapists and thieves have taken advantage of the sheer stupidity of European leaders especially those in Germany and Austria, not to mention the enormous naivete of young ‘humanitarians.’
Here is what Breitbart London said on Saturday. The murdered young woman was protecting her killer from imminent deportation:

A 24-year-old Gambian ‘asylum seeker’ has been arrested for the murder of an American Au Pair in Austria.

American Lauren M. [her family has revealed her last name, here.—ed] had worked in Vienna, Austria for going on 3 years. The au pair job allowed her to pay for her studies and live in the city.

lauren-m-640x481 — 25-year-old Lauren Mann of Colorado was found dead in her Vienna apartment last week.

Her dead body was found in her one bedroom apartment in Vienna’s 4th district on the evening of Tuesday January 26 after she had not come in to work that day or contacted any of her friends. Police found her corpse face down in the bedroom of her home.

Krone says initial reports were unclear as to the cause of Lauren’s death but an autopsy later identified that she had been suffocated and so the case was determined to be a homicide.

The hunt for a suspect was helped drastically when police were able to find DNA at the scene which belonged to an asylum seeker already in their database. The 24-year-old Gambian Abdou I. was no stranger to police. In fact the asylum seeker had already been involved on the wrong side of the law and had been accused of sexual misconduct with minors back in 2014.

According to authorities, the Gambian was living at Caritas refugee centre in Erdberg [Caritas Austria, here—ed] and was scheduled to be deported back to his home country in Africa. There was already a warrant out for his arrest at the time of the murder and it is through that Lauren M. had hidden him in her small one bedroom home so that he could escape deportation.

Refugees Welcome! Come live in our homes!

Breitbart then tells us this:

Lauren M’s actions were possibly inspired by the Refugees Welcome founders Jonas Kakoschke and Mareike Geiling who set up their group as a sort of migrant “airbnb” for migrants to live in their homes and for other volunteers to do the same.

Germany welcome — German people welcome refugees (health problems and all!). For how long?

This is a long article, carefully written to avoid scaring the heck out of readers, but you can imagine the challenge of dealing with hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers flooding the German health care system. Screening for communicable diseases is at the top of the list for new arrivals, but many don’t get screening for weeks or even longer.
I’ll let you read it yourself. However, here is one particularly concerning subject, and one we have here in the US as well—-refugees have mental health problems. And, these are the people Germany is counting on to be the worker-bees of the future who will take care of the aging German population?

In the immediate future, efforts to reduce bureaucratic hurdles need to continue; however, it is just as important is to address the linguistic, cultural, and societal barriers to access. This is a particular concern for ensuring proper mental health care. Studies show that more than half of the asylum-seekers and refugees arriving in Germany have mental health problems, especially minors. And institutional accommodation and restricted economic opportunities have been associated with worse mental health of refugees. While mental health services are available, and there are specialised services for traumatised refugees, uptake is low due to low awareness and cultural barriers. Other issues that need urgent attention are providing adequate shelter to avoid crowding and ensuring good hygienic condition.

Merkel critic Horst Seehofer sees his popularity rising as Merkel’s falls

Here is the Financial Times on German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s plunging popularity. There is even a reference to the government commandeering private property to house the 10,000 or so refugees entering Germany EVERY DAY!

Angela Merkel has defended her decision to make Germany a haven for refugees, despite sliding public support and mounting criticism of the policy from within her ruling coalition.

Speaking as Germany marked the 25th anniversary of reunification, the chancellor on Sunday urged people to apply the same energy to the unprecedented migrant wave as was shown in bringing together West and East Germany.

“We stand before new tasks . . . the scale and scope of which we do not yet know,” Ms Merkel said in a radio interview. She insisted that if she had to review the move she took a month ago to relax asylum rules for refugees from war-ravaged Syria, the biggest source of migrants, she would take the same decision again.

Her comments come as opinion polls reveal a sharp drop in support for Ms Merkel’s leadership. A survey for ARD television last week showed that the share of Germans satisfied with her work plunged 9 percentage points in a month to 54 per cent — the lowest level since December 2001.

Meanwhile, Horst Seehofer, head of the conservative Bavarian CSU party, partner to Ms Merkel’s CDU, who has called the chancellor’s refugee policy a “mistake”, saw his support rise 11 points to 39 per cent.

The commonsense German citizen knows this rate of migration is unsustainable, and the mystery continues about why Merkel made this disastrous decision in the first place.

Merkel is calling on Russia and the United States to do something!
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is busy these days casting about to save herself (and keep the EU from imploding!) in the wake of criticism that she and Germany began the stampede of migrants from, not just Syria, but from throughout the Middle East and North Africa as well.
BTW, the mostly economic migrants (not legitimate refugees!) themselves began the practice of calling Merkel “Mama” here.

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović puts the blame where it belongs—on ‘Mama.’ Anyone with half a brain could see the pile-up coming as Germany first opened its borders and then abruptly closed them.

Angela Merkel is responsible for the current refugee crisis in Europe, the president of Croatia has claimed.

In unusually blunt and undiplomatic language, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović accused Mrs Merkel of causing “chaos”.

“Mrs Merkel called them, and now she’s pulled the handbrake by saying Germany cannot absorb all these economic migrants,” Mrs Grabar-Kitarović told Croatian television.

“She makes out as if she wasn’t aware that pulling the handbrake when so many cars were on the road would cause chaos. This needs to be resolved now.”

Croatia has been struggling to cope with the influx of thousands of refugees since Hungary closed its border to them last week.
Most are trying to find a new route to Germany since the route through Hungary became impassable.

In August, as other countries turned them away, Mrs Merkel pledged that Germany would take in Syrian refugees.

But as German cities quickly ran out of places in refugee shelters, her government reimposed border controls nine days ago.

Here Merkel is calling on Russia and the US. What are we supposed to do, other than destroy ISIS and it looks like Russia is going to beat us to that (Obama is in no rush)?
And, here she is at Deutsche Welle calling for a “fair” distribution of the migrants (the vast majority are NOT Syrians). You can imagine the outrage in those smaller, formerly Eastern European bloc, countries (like Croatia) that didn’t invite the migrants to Europe, as did Merkel, apparently driven by wanting Germany to look generous and “welcoming.”
This line is buried at the end of the Deutsche Welle article:

Opposition Left party deputy group leader Sahra Wagenknecht said Germany’s poor, not its wealthy elite, would be hit by diversion of monies to fund the integration of refugees.

Here, Hungarian Prime Minister Orban rejects Merkel’s “moral imperialism.”
