Lancaster, PA: Church World Service and new mayor want the city to continue as “refugee capital of the USA”

cws logoSo, federal refugee contractor Church World Service is beefing up its political activist activities with new hires and holding events like this one on Sunday in the heart of Amish country. (And they are not just protesting for more refugees, they want open borders for all!).

From Lancaster Online:

Lancaster advocates, leaders criticize immigration policies during ‘March for Humanity’

Decrying the strict immigration policies that have made the U.S. border harder to cross in both legal and illegal ways, Lancaster’s preeminent refugee resettlement organization led a call for action on Sunday.

“We have to stand up, be loud and lift our voices in solidarity with all of our neighbors regardless of where they’re from,” Stephanie Gromek, a spokeswoman for Lancaster’s Church World Service office, told a crowd of more than 100 in Penn Square.

CWS fuck
Marching for humanity?

In a “March for Humanity” event, CWS and civic leaders criticized several decisions by President Donald Trump’s administration — from reducing the number of allowed refugees to separating immigrant families at the border.

Trump capped refugee admissions last year at their lowest point since 1980.

The change led to CWS resettling 144 refugees in the last 10 months compared with 407 two years ago, director Sheila Mastropietro said. They’ve had to cut staff as a result and now have 23 full-time employees — three less than a year ago. [Three less, big deal!—-ed]

The group is now moving to bolster its advocacy role. With some new funds raised through the national organization, they’ll hire a new grassroots organizer to help refugees and immigrants become more active in the community — from volunteering to voting, Mastropietro said.

Lancaster Mayor Danene Sorace was elected to office in November 2017

Matt Johnson, chief of staff to Lancaster Mayor Danene Sorace, said the city is trying to build on its reputation as the place where more refugees are resettled per capita than anywhere else in the country.

“We can and we must do more,” Johnson said. “Our reputation as the refugee capital of the United States needs to be backed by redoubled efforts and even more commitment to immigrants and refugees.”

That includes creating a “language access plan” that ensures everyone can communicate with the government and certifying Lancaster as an official “welcoming city,” Johnson said. It also includes reasserting that city police will not do the work of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, he said.

CWS can be Open Borders political agitators all they want—just not on our dime!

CWS is 74% funded (involuntarily!) by you!

See new accounting by Nayla Rush at the Center for Immigration Studies.  Over $68 million of your tax dollars went to them in 2016 alone!!!

Don’t miss my post about ten days ago: ‘Have you no shame John McCullough’ where I report on CWS’s CEO’s huge salary that you—taxpayers—largely fund!

Is your church affiliated with CWS? If so, I would be running for the door!

Also, remember that CWS holds the so-called ‘Crop Walks’ to raise even more money for their political activities.

Another blast at Stephen Miller: shameless refugee pushers cry foul because Miller works the system

They have monopolized working the system for decades!

How dare a 32-year-old Trump adviser mess with their finely tuned system that has kept the public in the dark for decades about how the refugee resettlement program works in America!

Remember this:

“Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won.” – President Obama to House Republican Whip Eric Cantor, January 23, 2009.

Yup!

abigail tracy
Reporter Tracy @abigailtracy

Vanity Fair writer Abigail Tracy (20-something) swallowed all of the propaganda from the usual gang of long-time Open Borders refugee industry advocates like Anne Richard and Eric Schwartz (both affiliated with George Soros in their careers) and other deep-staters who won’t be named with no flicker of understanding that Stephen Miller isn’t using his vast knowledge of the Washington game because of a personal animus toward refugees.

He is reflecting a public sentiment on immigration that got Donald Trump elected President of the United States and when it comes to refugees, the public was getting sick of the secrecy and underhandedness of those surrounding the then victorious Obama.

Not to mention sick of paying for a refugee program that NEVER took in to consideration the views of the citizens living in communities secretly chosen to ‘welcome’ refugees.

[See Judicial Watch sues to get Obama-era records on choosing resettlement sites!]

It is way past time to scrap the entire US Refugee Admissions Program and then see if there is the political will to reform it.

So now the shoe is on the other foot, someone who has concerns with the Refugee Program and how it has operated since the early 1980s and who also understands how government works (placing the President’s people in key positions) has these shameless Leftwing Open Borders agitators flummoxed and furious!

Hungarian PM Orban undertakes a social experiment that might just save Western Civilization

“Who would have guessed that a constellation of formerly atheistic, Communist countries would become the vanguard of the family?”

(Samuel Hammond writing at National Review)

It isn’t just in Hungary either.  In Poland and especially in Russia the push is on to encourage marriage and then the all important follow-up—more babies!

Why? They want to produce their own replacements and stop the flood of third world migrant workers that globalist corporations say are needed to keep the economy humming.  Never mind that the migrants have no interest in maintaining Hungarian, Polish or Russian culture (even if they work and don’t depend on welfare payments).

orban and family
Hungarian PM Orban practicing what he preaches….

I guess you can tell, I love this guy—Viktor Orban—because he has no fear of telling the truth.

And, this subject interests me because in the 1970’s I was steeped in this idea that no family should have more than two children in order to save the planet.  But, guess what, only white educated young people listened.

And, in fact, no one I ever knew made any serious effort to tell it to those in the Middle East and Africa especially where Muslims were pushing their people to produce babies for Allah and to migrate.

Here is a detailed account at National Review of what, first Hungary is doing to boost its population, and what is happening in Russia and Poland to do the same.

It strikes me that a renewed focus on American family-building might be something Donald Trump should incorporate into his campaign message.

Surely you knew that the US birthrate is now below replacement levels.

Refugee industry advocates pinning a tiny bit of hope on Pompeo to save refugee program

….but they know the odds are not good that the Secretary of State will buck the White House on the number of refugees to be admitted to the US in the coming fiscal year.

Trump and Pompeo
Will Secretary of State Pompeo go with the White House or with the embedded refugee advocates employed at the State Department?

However, as the deep-staters (and their contractor buddies***) feed news to Politico, indications are that Pompeo could at least keep the shrinking Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration at the State Department.

Here is Politico which appears to have a direct pipeline in to the refugee industry both inside and outside of government.

Sick of the media screwing with the facts! Obama’s 110,000 refugees myth!

Everywhere I look, the lazy Leftwing media tell us that Trump refugee admission numbers are low (yes! they are), and they draw a comparison to Obama’s last refugee cap (110,000) that he proposed in September of 2016 just months before leaving office.

Never once in his previous 7 years did he propose a ceiling (a cap!) that high and he came no where near that number of refugees admitted.

myths-busted

Was it all for show and for dumb reporters who would henceforth compare refugee admission numbers to the mythical 110,000? Or perhaps he was laying the groundwork for a big refugee push if Hillary had won the White House?

Here are the facts about the ceiling proposed in a couple of Bush years and then the Obama years from the Refugee Processing Center (Wrapsnet), the official State Department data collection site.

Notice that the ‘ceiling’ Obama set in September of 2016 (110,000) is left blank.  Trump came in to office in January 2017 and lowered it to 50,000.  It is not clear to me why the space is left blank, but it is.

Then look at the column “to the US.” That is the actual number ultimately admitted.

See that Obama came no where close to his own much lower ceilings in FY11 and FY12.  And, his other ceilings were way below 110,000.

So how about the media shut up about the 110,000 Obama year.
