Memory Lane: Iraqi Murdered Wife, Blamed Killing on Islamophobes

The other day when I posted on an opinion piece published in a Billings, Montana newspaper where the writer was attempting to tell readers that refugees were all about peace and love and a better life, a reader reminded me of this story which I wrote about several times over the years.

Hate Crime Hoax du jour….

A good actor (for awhile). Jurors ultimately did not believe Kassim Al-Himidi’s grieving husband schtick!

I had included ‘El Cajon Iraqi murders wife and pins it on whitey‘ in my terror and crime round-up, but it bears repeating especially in light of the admission by the State Department that many Iraqis entered the US fraudulently and as someone once said about another group of migrants “they aren’t very good people.”

If there could be anything worse than murdering your wife, it is blaming the murder on Americans and creating a frenzy that brought in CAIR and the Southern Poverty Law Center to scream Islamophobia and racism!

 

Here is what I said in a 2014 post:

…the “hate crime” hoax had frightened Muslims in the El Cajon area into thinking there was a raving Islamophobe on the loose killing Muslims in their kitchens.  CAIR and the Southern Poverty Law Center were right in the forefront helping fan the flames.

After beating his wife to near death in 2012 (she died of her injuries a few days later), Al-Hamidi set the frenzy in motion by penning a note and claiming he found it near his injured wife. The note read:

“Go back to your own country. You’re a terrorist.”

The whole story sounded fishy from the beginning.

The queen of fake news, the New York Times, got involved and published a story with this headline and photo:

If you were following the case, you likely cannot forget this image of the weeping murderer at the funeral of his 32-year-old wife, Shaima Alawadi.

 

California: Fishy Iraqi “hate-crime” story was well, fishy!

Ultimately he was exposed, went to trial and found guilty.  I doubt the NYT or any of the charlatans at CAIR and the SPLC ever apologized!

So to wrap up, go back to see what the Billings, Montana writer told gullible readers:

It’s a credit to our government that not a single one of more than 3 million refugees resettled since the Refugee Act was signed in 1980 has taken the life of a U.S. citizen in a terrorist attack.

But, I guess killing one’s refugee wife and making it look like it was a domestic terrorist attack perpetrated by a xenophobic Islamophobe doesn’t count in his mind. Welcoming more to places like Montana is what ‘good Christians’ should be doing.

P.S. Consider the fact that you, the American taxpayer paid for these Iraqis to have a “better life” and paid for law enforcement and a criminal trial, and you get to pay for his prison care and feeding for decades. Oh joy!

‘Hate’ crimes were fairly steady through most years of Obama Administration

And, religious ‘hate’ crimes were most often against Jewish people, not Muslims.

The Salt Lake Tribune published an article over the weekend in which they seem to reach for statistics to show that so-called hate crimes (mostly racial) are on the rise in Utah and elsewhere.

One could easily conclude that yes, the ‘hate’ crimes were up a little in 2016 from the previous year, but about the same (or slightly lower) as Obama presided over in 2011.

Although they don’t say it, the implication is that Trump’s hateful rhetoric and followers are to blame for a trend.

We’ll wait for the 2017 data, since of course it was Obama (the peacemaker) presiding over the country for this data.

Here are the opening paragraphs of the Tribune article:

Incidents of hate crimes in Utah rose significantly for the first time in two years in 2016, and based on complaints and investigations this year, the local FBI believes those numbers will continue to rise.

Last year, local law enforcement reported 66 incidents to the FBI, ranking Utah No. 23 out of the 49 reporting states and the District of Columbia, according to recently released 2016 hate crime statistics.

Those 66 incidents encompass 72 offenses, or individual crimes, reported in 2016. The most common was simple assault, with 22 instances, followed by vandalism at 18 and crimes against society — drug, gambling, prostitution, weapons violation or animal cruelty offenses — at 13.

Sounds like just flat out criminal activity to me! (Did you know they were counting hate crimes against animals in this data?)

When you read the article don’t miss the part about how as a state becomes more “diverse” the hate crime incidents rise.

When I checked the data, here, sure enough the states with the most ‘haters’ were California, New York, Ohio, Michigan and Massachusetts also among the most diverse states in America. Wyoming, arguably with the least diverse population, was the least hateful state with only 3 incidents in 2016.

So could we make a case that diversity does not make us stronger, but in fact causes more strife and stress in society?

Here is an interesting chart showing the national ‘hate’ crime stats. The reporter says hate crimes were rising for the last five years (through 2016).  Yes, but she doesn’t mention the fact that they were slightly higher in 2011 than in 2016.

Here is an important takeaway: someone please tell CAIR Minnesota’s director Jaylani Hussein that in 2016 ‘hate’ crimes based on religion were more than twice as high against Jews than Muslims.

CAIR would have us think that all over America people were hating on Muslims. Gosh, who might be hating on all the Jewish people?

Jewish people were most likely to face the brunt of hate crimes targeting a person’s religion, with 684 reported incidents, about 54 percent of the total. Those incidents involved 862 victims, up nearly 18 percent from 2015 . Muslims were the target of 307 incidents….

There is lots of interesting data at the FBI’s Hate Crime Statistics for 2016.  I don’t have the time to explore it all, but you might.

Endnote:  I was just thinking about that 2016 Lake Calhoun incident in Minnesota, remember this. Was it categorized, by the FBI, as a ‘hate’ crime by Somalis against white people?  Heck it might fit in the racial category and the religious category!

If  that blatant incident isn’t in the data base at the FBI then you can throw out anything the FBI says about ‘hate’ crimes.

This is an update at World Net Daily on the story about the wild Somali woman who entered a suburban yard and attacked the home owner with the home owner’s flagpole.  See our previous story.
The FBI is not charging the attacker with a hate crime because they say she is mentally impaired.

If mentally impaired, the case demonstrates what happens as we resettle (dangerous!) refugees into the US with expensive-to-treat health problems, including mental health problems.

The FBI has determined that no hate crime occurred on the day after Memorial Day in Lawrenceville, Georgia, when a Muslim woman dressed in a burqa came out of the woods behind a homeowner’s house, grabbed the family’s large American flag and attacked them with it.

The FBI was asked by local police to investigate whether Amina Ali Ahra, 30, may have committed a hate crime when she attacked homeowner Dami Arno and her 17-year-old daughter while the two were drinking coffee in their garage on the morning of Tuesday, May 31.

Ahra grabbed the family’s large flag off their mailbox and used the 4-foot long pole made of PVC pipe as a weapon, swinging it wildly at Arno’s head. The 42-year-old fought off the much larger Ahra and two neighbors helped restrain her until police arrived. At one point during the attack Arno’s 14-year-old son emerged from the house with the family pistol and pointed it at the woman assaulting his mother but did not fire a shot.

A federal law enforcement official told WND that Ahra has been determined to have mental health issues, which would make it unlikely for federal prosecutors to charge her with a hate crime.

“But if you want an example of someone who is radicalized you can’t get a better one than someone walking up and grabbing someone’s American flag and beating them with it,” said the official, who asked not to be identified.

Local police Chief Randy Johnson told WND that his department referred the case to the FBI.

But the agent assigned to the case never took the time to interview the Arno family or any of the other eyewitnesses to the attack.

“The FBI agent, Chuck Campo, never contacted our family. We finally reached him and he told us there was no hate crime and I am not entitled to any information on this woman who attacked me in my own home,” Arno said. “He wouldn’t even tell us whether or not she was legally here in this country.”

Keep it up FBI, the public is already suspicious because of your mishandling of the Orlando killer case!

Kansas City: Somali Christian (?) may be charged with hate crime for killing Somali Muslim

Here is a story that will make your head spin.  In the first version I read from two days ago it sure sounded like some crazy white guy who hated Somalis intentionally killed a Somali teen with his SUV.  CAIR was immediately on the scene.

Ahmed Aden charged with murder of Muslim Somali teen told police earlier that “people from Islam were going to kill him.”

Then after looking for an update, we have this story from late last night at the Kansas City Star that tells a different story.  Turns out the man arrested for the intentional killing of the teen is another Somali, supposedly a Christian one (very rare) who believed that the Muslim Somalis were out to kill him.

Isn’t diversity beautiful!

Kansas City, by the way, is (no surprise) a preferred resettlement community.  Check out who is bringing Somalis to Kansas City by going to this handy list.  One of the contractors operating in KC is a Jewish organization.

Kansas City Star:

Before suffering gruesome and fatal injuries Thursday, Abdisamad Sheikh-Hussein helped lead the evening Muslim prayers at his mosque near downtown.

“He asked for mercy for humankind and asked for humans to follow the righteous path,” remembered Ali Abdi, the assistant director of the Somali Center of Kansas City and its mosque.

But Abdisamad, 15, received no mercy minutes later as he stepped off the curb at 1340 Admiral Boulevard and headed toward a car. A Chevrolet Blazer speeding eastbound sideswiped the car and struck Abdisamad, nearly severing his legs.

The Staley High School sophomore died later at a hospital.

The driver of the SUV, Ahmed H. Aden, a 34-year-old Kansas City truck driver, told police after his arrest that he had been searching for men who’d threatened him nine days earlier. And he said he planned to kill those men if he found them, according to court records.

Aden told police that he intentionally struck Abdisamad, but he had mistaken the teen for one of the men who had threatened him.

Jackson County prosecutors charged Aden with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful use of a weapon.

Aden, whom sources described as a Somali Christian, now is the target of both a state murder investigation and a federal hate-crimes probe, authorities said.

Members of the Somali community said that Aden long was known to have made frequent and violent threats against Muslims and the mosque, occasionally even threatening the mass slaughter of worshipers.

Moussa Elbayoumy, chairman of the Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said a member of the mosque has a photo of Aden’s SUV, taken about two months ago, showing anti-Muslim graffiti, reading, “Quran is a virus disease (worse) than Ebola.”

Read on, some of those interviewed at the mosque think it had nothing to do with a Christian v. Muslim issue but that Aden was just crazy.

One more long prison term that US taxpayers will have to fund.

Diversity is strength alert!

Remember this from April of  2012: an Iraqi man whose wife wanted a divorce apparently created a fictional hate crime to cover up the bloody murder of his wife.

This all happened at about the same time as the Trayvon Martin story was making headlines.

This is what we said on April 1, 2012:

CAIR and the Muslim grievance lobby are trying oh-so-hard to elevate this tragic murder of a young Iraqi mother in California to be on par with the Trayvon Martin circus in Florida.   I’ve been reading about the case elsewhere and there is something fishy about it.

The Reuters story at the time even dragged in the scumbags at the Southern Poverty Law Center!

Now, on Tuesday, at the Times of San Diego:

Opening statements are scheduled for Tuesday in the murder trial of an Iraqi immigrant accused of fatally beating his wife in their El Cajon home after she asked for a divorce.

Kassim Alhimidi, 49, is charged with killing Shaima Alawadi, 32, also an Iraqi immigrant.

The defendant was arrested on Nov. 8, 2012, by El Cajon police in what was first thought to be a hate crime. His wife was found mortally injured with at least six head wounds in their Skyview Street residence eight months earlier.

First-responders found a note in the home that read, “This is my country, go back to yours, terrorist.”

How many Iraqis in America?  Who knows?  Remember there were earlier waves of Iraqis being resettled here prior to the latest huge wave.

From 2007 until April 30, 2013, we resettled 84,000 Iraqi nationals to the US.   So, by now we have surely surpassed the 100,000 mark with more on the way.  From the USCIS:

Since the inception of the program in 2007, 203,321 Iraqi nationals have been referred to the USRAP for resettlement to the United States. USCIS has interviewed 142,670 Iraqi refugee applicants; approved 119,202 for resettlement and, 84,902 Iraqi refugees have arrived in the United States.
