That is what the LA Times is reporting, here. (Hat tip: Peter)
Surely you’ve seen the story about an animal rights activist shooting human beings a few days ago, but if you haven’t, check out the LA Times.
I only want to make a couple of points. First here is a tiny snip of the story:
Aghdam entered the country as a refugee roughly two decades ago, a family member said. In one of her videos, she said she was born in Urmia, Iran — where she and other members of her Baha’i faith face discrimination — and that her family had spent a year and a half in Turkey.
Turkey?
Readers need to know that Turkey has been a major processing center for refugees from the Middle East (imagine what fraud could be happening there!) for many years. Trump Admin doesn’t process as many through Turkey
I’ve reported on the processing countries on several occasions, but it might be instructive to see that as Obama was leaving office, Turkey was one of our top processing centers, here. And, then here, a year later, Turkey has been demoted as a processing country. I don’t have the inside skinny on what happened. The mentally ill are admissible as refugees
The other thing you need to know is that we don’t screen for mental illness in the refugee admissions process—we take many nuts!
(Based on this reporting and her age now, she was an adult when admitted to the US.)
And, when those nuts do something as violent criminals, you dear taxpayers support them for the rest of their natural lives! (Not the case this time, she spared you by killing herself!)
Ignore the refugee industry propaganda which posits that refugees don’t commit crimes, visit my ‘Crimes’ category herewith over 2,000 previous posts!
Were they simply greedy criminals looking to live high by destroying Australia’s youth, or is there more to Middle Eastern drug dealing? Is it a form of warfare on the West?
I don’t know the answer, but I thought about it when reader Jon sent this link from the Daily Mail:
An Iranian couple who arrived to Australia by boat five years ago have allegedly been flooding the streets of Sydney with the deadly drug ‘ice’.
By the way, they must have gotten in just before Australia lowered the boom on boat people and sent them to detention in Papua New Guinea or on Nauru (where Trump’s State Department is vetting them for movement to Any Town, USA.).
Ali Maleki and Yosra Rabieh, from the city’s north-west, are two of several Iranians in Australia on temporary protection visas recently arrested over alleged meth trafficking, The Daily Telegraph reported.
The couple, who share two young daughters, were arrested last week after police allegedly seized more than 36kg of ice, over $260,000 in cash, three luxury cars and more than 100 ampules of steroids at homes in Hornsby and Asquith.
Maleki and Rabieh have each been charged with supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs and participate in a criminal enterprise.
A third Iranian has been charged with being an accessory after the fact of supplying drugs.
In a separate bust last week, two Iranian nationals were arrested in Sydney, allegedly trying to import almost 10 kilograms of ice hidden in honey jars on a cargo flight to Australia.
Go herefor more from the Daily Mail. If guilty they should hope for Australian prison rather than deportation.

In Trump’s new mixed bag, most of the eight countries are not significantly represented in the US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP).
Editor: By the way, I assume you saw that the Supreme Court has cancelled arguments on the previous travel ban, here. I don’t know yet what that means for the refugee portion of the case.
Other than Somalia, Syria and Iran we don’t see many refugees from the other five countries. And, you should know, for Iran, that the vast majority of those we admit as refugees are Christians and other religious minorities.
As I remarked the other day, we do admit very large numbers of questionable refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, Burma (Rohingya Muslims) and some additional African countries who will not be getting the extra scrutiny.
I checked Wrapsnet just now to see how many refugees we have admitted between FY07 and FY17 from the 8 ‘travel ban’ countries. But, don’t forget that many others from these countries get in to the US through other legal programs as well as illegally.
Refugees admitted FY07-FY17 (to date). Here is what I found:
Chad (182)
Iran (38,236 but only 405 of those are Muslims while over 20,000 are Christians)
Libya (12)
N. Korea (203)
Syria (21,110)
Yemen (146)
Somalia (67,158)
Venezuela (13)
The new vetting rules may have a large impact on Somalis entering the US….
Check out here where all those Somalis have been planted. Minnesota tops the list with 8,529. But that doesn’t tell the whole Minnesota story as Somalis resettled elsewhere move in large numbers as what the USRAP calls “secondary migrants” to MN.
Editor: Moving on from Africa (here and here) this morning, here is another excellent news analysis from ‘Pungentpeppers:’
A distressingly large number of sexual assault cases have been coming up in my internet news searches. The perpetrators are mostly Muslim Middle Eastern men. Some are refugees or asylum seekers. Some are well educated. However, all appear incapable of adapting to our Western society and mores. These men, in committing their crimes, may be acting on impulses rooted within their own religion and culture and upbringing – and doing irreparable harm to our citizens. Here is one such case.
In the Islamic Republic of Iran women must be covered by law. Even in the middle of summer, women wear the jet black veil called the chador in order to “protect” themselves from attack by lustful males. Uncovered Western women are portrayed as whores.Such was the society where Amir Mohebbifar, age 27, was raised. His name in Persian has a nice and pleasant meaning: “Prince of the Lover’s Light”. However, his behavior once he reached Sydney, Australia, was horrid and despicable.
Mohebbifar left Iran purportedly out of concern for himself and his girlfriend. Although he was university educated and came from a middle class family, the girl’s parents did not approve of their relationship, and he was afraid they would harm her or him. He left the girlfriend behind and joined the flood of other migrants who were traveling to Australia on smuggling boats. He arrived to Australia’s Christmas Island in March of 2013 and received a bridging visa. [At that time – not having had enough experience with Middle Eastern asylum seekers – Australia was still handing out “bridging visas”, or temporary permission to stay in the country, to migrants who arrived by boat. The practice has since been stopped.]
In Australia, Mohebbifar was increasingly out of his element. Frustrated and bored, he felt excluded, depressed and socially isolated since he did not know, and could not know, how to make friends in Australian society. He also had issues with the way Australian women dressed.
Last January (it was summer in Australia), Mohebbifar, having finished most of a bottle of whiskey, saw a 19-year-old woman headed home late at night on a pathway leading to Sydney’s Anzac Bridge. He approached her in his drunken state and asked, “Hi, are you walking home?” The young woman refused to make eye contact and walked fast to try and remove herself from the situation. She thought she had lost him, when she heard footsteps as he ran up to her and grabbed her. He then attacked her and dragged her off the path and into the bushes, where he sexually assaulted her while she was kicking and screaming and fighting and biting him. His attack lasted some 20 minutes when he suddenly stopped and started walking away. The girl called triple-zero (the equivalent to our 911) and he ran. Police arrived and, using CCTV footage, located Mohebbifar hiding under a car and sweating profusely.
Last July, Mohebbifar pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual assault. The charges of sexual intercourse without consent and indecent assault were withdrawn. Sentencing was last week.
Mohebbifar told the court he had found it difficult to “adjust” to Australian women’s “revealing garments” but had been taught to “respect people”. In sentencing him, Judge Donna Woodburne said Mohebbifar had preyed on a vulnerable young woman who was simply trying to get home. “To be accosted, seized and dragged off the street by a complete stranger must have been terrifying.” She added, “She was doing nothing more than peacefully going about her business walking along public streets to go home.” “There’s a gap between the concern he felt for his Iranian girlfriend and the utter lack of concern he felt for the welfare, safety and security of his 19-year-old victim,” the judge said.
Mohebbifar trembled and cried throughout the sentencing. He was sentenced to a maximum term of eight years, and will be eligible for parole in January 2020.
He should never have left Iran!

For our ever expanding archive on Australia, go here. Remember that the Sydney coffee-shop terrorist was also an Iranian refugee.
By the way, the US has taken a lot of Iranian refugees in recent years and I assumed most were religious minorities. I think I had better do a little research on how many are Muslims.
Update:Hostage crisis is over. You can find the news everywhere. Interesting to me is the fact that Fox News is actually identifying the terrorist as a “refugee” in print on the screen. Only a few years ago you would never have seen the word “refugee” used in any negative context.
Hot off the presses at the UK Daily Mail (thanks to the ever-watchful ‘Pungentpeppers’):
Man Haron Monis – also known as Sheik Haron – has been named as the gunman holding up to 15 people hostage in a Sydney café and is believed to be an Islamic State preacher who is on bail for accessory to murder.
The 49-year-old man lives in southwest Sydney, but is originally from Iran and a self-proclaimed sheik, and also sent hate mail to the families of Australian dead soldiers between 2007 and 2009, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The seige in the Lindt cafe in Martin Place on Monday follows an unsuccessful attempt to have these charges overturned in the High Court on Friday, The Age reported.
Monis received 300 community service hours and a two-year good behaviour bond for the correspondence, which he claims were his version of sympathy cards, sent with the help from his girlfriend Amirah Droudis.
Arriving as a refugee in Australia in 1996, the hostage-taker was charged as an accessory to the murder of his ex-wife – who was allegedly stabbed and set on fire on a flight of stairs in her western Sydney apartment block in November 2013.
Hey Western world, need any more proof that it’s time to cut off Muslim immigration from Islamic countries (or from anywhere)? You bring ’em in and get kicked in the teeth!
