ISIS making millions trafficking ‘refugees’ to Europe from Libya

Obama and his girls (Hillary, Susan Rice and Samantha Power) sure blundered when they joined the pack to bring down Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

I wonder if the media will one day point a finger at this bunch for destabilizing North Africa just as they do now at George W. Bush for bringing down Saddam Hussein and destabilizing Iraq (I won’t hold my breath).

Here Time magazine reports that trafficking in migrants is part of the new business model used by ISIS to fund their operations.

Migrants pay thousands of dollars to armed groups in Africa and the Middle East on their journey to Europe.

Illegal migrants wait to be rescued off Malta earlier this month.

The movement of migrants across the Middle East and Africa towards Europe has generated up to $323 million for the Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) and other jihadist groups, a new report has revealed.

Many of the migrants embark from Libya on unseaworthy boats which have foundered with thousands drowning and thousands being rescued by European navies. At least 170,000 refugees made the sea journey last year, and that number looks likely to increase this year, according to the European Union’s border-surveillance organization Frontex.

European Union and African officials are scrambling to find ways to stop the migration. On Wednesday the Guardian revealed a 19-page E.U. strategy report to crack down on the smugglers, which included air strikes on boats and possibly the use of troops in Libya.

But while E.U. officials anguish over the plight of people crossing the Mediterranean to get to Europe, the migration has proved an invaluable business opportunity for groups like ISIS. So valuable that international crime experts believe ISIS might have launched some attacks specifically in order to drive people to flee, and then profit from their flight.

Just a reminder!  US readers this affects you!

We are bringing some of those illegal boat people to America as REFUGEES and sending them to your towns and cities.   I just checked State Department data bases and see that as of April 30th we had admitted 331 of Malta’s illegal aliens to the US in 300 refugee cases this fiscal year alone.  That means that the majority coming to America are not in family groups and are most likely single young men.

We told you here that some aliens from Malta ended up in South Carolina.

World Relief lobbyist about Spartanburg: we have gotten “push back” in other towns and cities

Just when I thought it was safe to move on to something other than news from Spartanburg, SC, up pops this story about World Relief in South Carolina in my “Malta” alerts.

Why is this mentioned in conjunction with the tiny island nation of Malta, I wondered (until I got to this paragraph at the end):

According to State Department figures, 73 refugees entered South Carolina from October 2014 through February. Refugees came from Burma, Ethiopia, Iraq, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, Namibia, Rwanda, Sudan, Tajikistan and Thailand. Most were from Malaysia (16) and Thailand (14). Four refugees from Iraq also arrived here during that same time frame.

Security concerns in the Malta refugee flow to America!

What the reporter accessed here (or the State Department gave her) is the data on where the refugee was PROCESSED.  Malta is a stable country and we don’t take Maltese people (Europeans) as refugees.  WE DO TAKE OVER 500 A YEAR OF MALTA’S ILLEGAL ALIENS who crossed the Mediterranean from North Africa to America as supposed REFUGEES.

So, South Carolina got some of those!

I have been writing about this likely illegal use of the refugee resettlement program for years and it is one more reason Rep. Trey Gowdy should be calling for hearings.

In fact, Rep. Michael McCaul (Homeland Security) should be holding hearings about the US taking any of the boat people arriving on Malta from Libya as ISIS has said it will infiltrate the ‘refugee’ flow.

Here is a recent post on the State Department telling Malta we will take more of their illegal overload!

We probably have a hundred posts here at RRW on the Malta problem.  Click here for our complete archive.

Also, we don’t take Kenyans as refugees.  When Kenya is listed as a processing country, those are most likely Somalis from the UN camps in Kenya!  Thailand and Malaysia are UN processing countries as well, so this information tells us nothing about what the ethnic mix is that has gone to SC.

Now back to World Relief’s very interesting admission:  They do get “push back,” but the churches invited them to Spartanburg!

So the Left-leaning churches get to decide the fate of your towns?

From reporter Kim Kimzey at The State (emphasis is mine):

Jenny Yang is a lobbyist for World Relief. Her bio is here: http://worldrelief.org/page.aspx?pid=3048

Jenny Yang is vice president of Advocacy and Policy at World Relief. In a phone interview, Yang said the agency spent months getting approval from federal and state officials.

Yang said a proposal [we would like to see that proposal!–ed] was submitted to the State Department that oversees the refugee resettlement program. She said the final decision is up to a state refugee coordinator*** who determines whether cities are able to receive refugees, including housing and economic opportunities.  [Really!  The state refugee coordinator has that much power!—ed]

Yang also said World Relief worked with local churches for several months before it considered opening an office. “It wasn’t a decision that was spur of the moment,” she said.

Yang said World Relief could answer Gowdy’s questions. She said the organization has received some “push back” in other cities, mostly from local officials.

“We wouldn’t have opened an office if it weren’t for conversations that we had with churches and those churches actually asking us to come in to help them in their mission of helping the foreign born and refugees in their communities,” Yang said.

She said that World Relief opens offices in cities where churches and community members express support, as well as “practical considerations” such as housing and economic opportunities.

“There has been very vocal support, especially among churches that want to welcome these refugees, and that’s the reason we’re going to Spartanburg,” Yang said.

In the latest ‘Invasion of Europe’ news, authorities bracing for onslaught as Mediterranean weather improves

African young men make up the bulk of the illegal migrants making the voyage to Europe.

From Reuters at the Times of Malta:

With migration across the Mediterranean surging, the European Union’s largest border operation is bracing for a record year of arrivals by sea, especially as summer brings calm waters between Italy and Libya.

Off the eastern coast of Sicily, the 18-member crew of the Icelandic coast guard vessel Tyr – named after a Nordic god of war – are conducting rescue drills in seas more familiar in Greek mythology, preparing for the worst.

Though the United Nations refugee agency has criticised the mission, known as Triton, because its mandate is not search and rescue but border control with patrols near the Italian coast, the EU border agency Frontex says it is saving lives.

“We participate in a lot of search and rescue operations that take place far from the Italian shore, usually about 40 nautical miles north of Libya,” Frontex spokeswoman Ewa Moncure told Reuters on the bridge of the Tyr yesterday.

[….]

About 170,000 entered the EU through Italy last year by way of the dangerous sea crossing organised by human traffickers, mostly in Libya, while more than 3,000 perished.

During the first two months of this year, arrivals were up 43 per cent versus the same period of 2014.

[….]

The governments of southern EU countries – including Italy, Malta, Greece and Spain – have repeatedly criticised the failure of the 28-nation bloc to devote more attention and resources to the growing immigration crisis. To increase solidarity, the European Commission has said it will present a “migration agenda” in May, when good weather is expected to boost the flow of migrants and refugees, many of whom are fleeing civil war in Syria or forced military conscription in Eritrea.

This might be a good time to read The Camp of the Saints as the 4-decades-old novel is now coming true.  Author Raspail was only wrong on his prediction of where the invaders would launch from.

See our ‘Invasion of Europe’ series here.  Remember that the US State Department takes some of Malta’s illegal aliens to the US as “refugees.”

A reader from Malta gives us a look at what the illegal aliens are doing to the tiny island nation

Update March 20th:  Now a bunch of rich Germans are going to rescue illegal aliens at sea, sure hope they take them to Germany and not Malta!

Editors note:  We have been following the plight of Malta since our earliest days of writing this blog.  As an island in the Mediterranean Sea it serves as a beachhead for the invaders arriving in Europe from Africa and the Middle East.

In some weeks our readers from Malta are near the top of the list of our readers worldwide!

There are many other routes to Europe, but this is the clearest one depicting Malta in the line of fire.

Why should you, American readers, care about Malta?

First, because the invasion of Europe should be of great concern to anyone watching the destruction of western civilization and secondly because the US State Department, illegally in my opinion!, transforms some of Malta’s illegal aliens into refugees destined for your American towns!

In the first 5 months of Fiscal Year 2015, we have “resettled” 274*** of Malta’s illegal aliens to America (see stats here).  They are somewhere now in small town America.

Here is what Maltese citizen Charles Sammut told us today:

“I am attaching just a small list of acts of gratitude that we receive from these poor refugees that we welcome on our tiny island. That is just in one day!”

* Woman murdered, Libyan suspect flees to Italy, here.

* Algerian man admits to defiling niece at her grandmother’s house, gets probation, here.

* Syrian accused of raping ‘drunk’ Romanian woman in his car after giving her a lift, here.

I assume it isn’t escaping your notice that these are all crimes against women.

Be sure to see our whole archive on Malta by clicking here.  See especially, rich couple helps ‘rescue’ migrants at sea to bring to Malta.

Our complete ‘Invasion of Europe’ series is here.

***When you look at the stats note that there are 274 individuals representing 248 cases which means that the vast majority being brought to America are single people—most likely young single men!

Malta: Illegal aliens create NGO to push for citizenship, benefits

We have a few posts backlogged from Europe, here is the first one this morning.  Longtime readers know that Malta’s troubles with illegal aliens/economic migrants flooding the tiny island nation for years now is one of our interests here at RRW.

Malta is important as it is experiencing the full force of the out-migration from Africa and it should be important to you (American readers) that the US State Department during the Bush years began to take some of Malta’s illegal aliens as ‘refugees’ to American towns and cities (see for instance this post from last September).  The practice—a perversion of international refugee law—has been continued by the Obama Administration.  The practice surely acts as a pull-factor for more illegals to attempt the Mediterranean crossing.

By the way, I didn’t do a weekly roundup last week, but want to mention here that readers from Malta were 5th in our top ten countries (out of 128 countries from which readers visited RRW).  For our newest readers, you might want to visit our February 13th round-up which contains tips on finding useful information among our over 6,000 posts.

This is an interesting bit of news from the Times of Malta. Looks like the international community organizers are busy:

A new non-governmental organisation has been set up in Malta for Africans by Africans.

The organisation Migrants Association in Malta, is headed by Bushra Fuad, from Sudan.

Although grateful that Malta gave them the possibility of a second chance of life, many were anxious because they did not qualify as refugees or for humanitarian projection and even though they were allowed to stay on in Malta, their rights were basic.

The migrants stated many of them were already integrated with Maltese civil society and they had a permit to work, their paid taxes and national insurance but did not receive benefits when they had no work.

Moreover, they did not get financial support if they suffered an occupational accident.

Our extensive archive on Malta is here.  See especially this one about ISIS threatening to bring chaos to Europe by infiltrating the illegal alien flow toward Italy and Malta.
