St. Cloud, MN: Tiny pro-Somali group at Courthouse, large gathering at the VFW, media focuses on tiny group

Update August 3:  Unethical news media parrots union organizer suggesting speaker is “racist,” but never calls him for comment, here.
If you had no idea what was going on in St. Cloud, this story from the St. Cloud Times would not be very useful to bring you up to speed!

You might want to first start by reading our post from Thursday, here.
Union organizer, Jane Conrad, did some serious backpedaling after first planning a rally against a local VFW(Veterans of Foreign Wars for our readers elsewhere in the world!) that hosted local citizens wanting to hear about the economic and social costs of resettling more refugees in St. Cloud, MN***.  As we reported, she and a faculty member from St Cloud State University were clearly aiming to intimidate the Granite VFW Club for daring to allow diners to speak freely over their meal.  There is more at WND, here.

Saturday rally VFW 04-1
Veterans and friends arrive at the Granite VFW Saturday to show support for the VFW and for the right of citizens to gather and express their first amendment rights. Photo courtesy a local resident.

Obviously, quickly seeing the error of taking on a venerable veterans group, she and her Somali supporters moved their demonstration down town.  You can read all about their tiny rally here at the St. Cloud Times where Conrad claims they are protesting a Minnesota citizen, Bob Enos, for talking about sharia law.
You might think Enos was some two-headed monster to listen to Conrad.  I wonder did the Times reporter seek comment from Enos?
Here is Mr. Enos giving a thoughtful presentation to a local government body recently.
Meanwhile the Times, other than a few photos tacked on at the end of the ‘news’ story, doesn’t tell readers about the huge and friendly gathering of veterans and friends supporting the VFW (which remember was the original target of Ms. Conrad and Professor Mark Jaede).

And, what a coincidence the St. Cloud Times also published a pro-more-Somali-refugees opinion piece at the same time!

SC Times columnist Patrick Henry, who previously said this, is trotted out for the occasion!  How convenient is this timing!

” Minnesota’s 5th District Rep. Keith Ellison’s taking his oath of office on Jefferson’s copy of the Quran was a quintessential American moment…..the portrait of America as a Christian nation is groundless.”

Guess we know where he is coming from!
I have no time or energy to rebut yesterday’s opinion piece by Patrick Henry, retired executive director of the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research who has zero understanding of the finances involved with federal refugee resettlement grants and contracts and that is precisely why Mr. Enos’ call for serious fiscal studies is vitally important now.

Patrick Henry
This is Patrick Henry, a Times columnist brought out at just the right time to back the Times reporting. See what he said in April about how we are not a Christian nation. Then shouldn’t it follow that Lutheran Social Services or any religious group should not receive government funding? http://www.sctimes.com/story/opinion/2015/04/05/misinterpret-founders-intent-religious-freedom/25277705/

Here is how the St. Cloud Times opens its ‘news’ story today:

A group of St. Cloud-area residents took to the stairs in front of the Stearns County Courthouse to protest an anti-immigration speaker who visited St. Cloud earlier this week.

Jane Conrad, a field representative for the East Central Area Labor Council, planned the rally after Bob Enos, of Willmar, appeared at an event booked at the Veterans of Foreign Wars speaking out against refugees and Sharia, the Islamic law.

“We know we have issues in our community and we know they exist, but we don’t need people coming in and mixing it up and creating more problems,” Conrad said. “You’re welcome to come in and be a part of our community, but don’t create division.”

Worried that some citizens may be confused that Conrad and her group were speaking out against the VFW, Conrad made it clear they support troops and veterans and were strictly protesting Enos.

Enos, oh right!  It is all about Enos!

Develop alternative media!

I guess what I am trying to say to all of you:   it is time, past time! for the citizens of St. Cloud to develop their own alternative media.  And, this applies to all of you in ‘Pockets of Resistance’.  You do not have to depend on the local biased newspaper to reach like-minded people.  I started RRW when my local paper wouldn’t publish FACTS about refugees and the cost to our community.

One of the first things I would post at your new publication are the financial facts about Lutheran Social Service of MN that clearly Patrick Henry has no clue about!
Write a website or a blog to put out your research and your opinions!  Maybe find another small newspaper that is willing to publish your information.  Definitely use conservative talk radio.  Put papers like the St. Cloud Times out of business, or at least begin to diminish their readership!

Or, consider this!  Concerned citizens in Twin Falls, ID  (a pocket of resistance) are printing up literature and taking it door-to-door to get around their own biased press!

This post is filed in our new category Pockets of Resistance’ to help all of you better understand the tactics that will be used against you and how to counter them.
*** Just a reminder, the city of St. Cloud is a UN/US State Department preferred resettlement site right along with Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota.

WND: More on the Babin bill to suspend refugee program, and on St. Cloud, MN "action" for today

Leo Hohmann, at World Net Daily, who has become a leading writer about the problems surrounding the UN/US State Department Refugee Resettlement Program, has pulled together several threads in a new piece on the introduction of the bill by Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX)—a bill to suspend the refugee program until important information about its costs and the security threats the program poses have been examined.
Hohmann weaves in more information on the controversy swirling in St. Cloud, MN where union community agitators are seeking to intimidate and silence those who have questions about the fiscal impact of the program on Minnesota.
See the whole article here.  It was only published late last night, but has hundreds of mostly irate commenters already.
Additional information here:  Welcoming America Watch Midwest tells us the number of refugees going to MN this year.

St. Cloud, MN: AFL-CIO operative using intimidation tactics, stirs racial unrest….

….with the help of a college professor from Saint Cloud State University!

Update July 31:  A critical commenter to this blog tells us that the anti-VFW rally has been moved to the St. Cloud Courthouse, but I am told by local patriots that it doesn’t matter because the barbecue at the VFW is expected to be huge and fun!
Update:  One of our readers pointed out that this is the Red-Green Axis at work.  Why didn’t I think of that!
They plan a rally against the local VFW (what! to teach them a lesson?) and want to silence concerned citizens with an “action” (confrontation?) by Somalis!
As regular readers know, the city of St. Cloud, Minnesota ( the heart of former Rep. Michele Bachmann’s district) has been swamped in recent years by Third World refugees from the UN/US State Department Refugee Resettlement program.

Jane Conrad
Jane Conrad, union organizer, stirring racial unrest in St. Cloud

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is primarily responsible for the resettlement of mostly Somali refugees there.   We believe that LSS is literally acting as an employment agency for the large meat packing companies operating in nearby towns and in need of an abundant supply of cheap labor.   Why American union workers don’t get it is beyond me!
We have an extensive archive on St. Cloud and visited there in April Click here for all of our previous news from St. Cloud going back many years.
Citizens have formed a ‘pocket of resistance’ and have begun to look into the economic impact the resettlement program has on local and state taxpayers.  We reported here recently that Bob Enos of Willmar had made a persuasive argument about how local governments must begin looking at the fiscal cost to taxpayers of placing so many impoverished people on the state’s welfare rolls.
And here is Ron Brantsner (another citizen using his own personal time to research and speak about the economic impact, and the secrecy surrounding the role played by meat packers and Left-leaning foundations) speaking in Little Falls.
As far as I can tell the local paper (St. Cloud Times) hasn’t seen a need to write anything about the brewing storm.
***Update*** SC Times explains changes in rally locations for Saturday August 1, here.

Meeting cancelled at the last minute

Word coming out of St. Cloud is that Brantsner was scheduled to speak at a St. Cloud VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) just days ago when the meeting was abruptly cancelled due to fear that an “action” was being threatened against the VFW and meeting participants where the talk was scheduled.  According to Gregory Jarrett, in an e-mail report to hundreds of like-minded citizens, we are told what happened when the meeting was cancelled:

Ms Conrad was apparently “forceful” enough to get the St Cloud PD to go to the VFW and “make a negotiated deal” to cancel an event [Brantsner was the scheduled speaker—ed]. Attendees traveled from all around Minnesota and had zero knowledge of the last minute cancellation of the EVENT in the basement room until virtually “at the front door” . Those attendees and local residents made the decision to support the Granite VFW and have a meal upstairs, with no scheduled presentation and no audio visual aids.

Working closely with Ms. Conrad on the “action” is SC State University faculty member Mark Jaede

Ms Conrad however in a further attempt to agitate and polarize the community directed an associate attend and to “report” back to her. The attendees (which include a Minnesota State Senator, hardly a radical racist) discussed the reason for the cancellation which then turned into folks standing up and voicing their own personal opinions. There was also a uniformed St Cloud Police Dept officer at the Dinner. The staff of the VFW club made it clear that there would be no “presentation”.  The “cancelled” event turned into a social event where concerned and like minded folks got the opportunity to meet, discuss and exchange views.

Now, in a REAL attempt to “show them a thing or 2” Ms Conrad and Mr Jaede show zero concern for St Cloud, Veterans, Citizens, The Police Department and City Staff by going at it again.

Conrad (SEIU! and AFL-CIO) and Professor Mark Jaede (St. Cloud State Univ) have organized a rally against the offending VFW this Saturday.

Here is an e-mail from Jaede quoting Conrad:

From: ” Jaede, Mark G.” < mgjaede@stcloudstate.edu>
Date: July 29, 2015 at 5:04:33 PM CDT
To: ” scsu-announce@stcloudstate.edu” < scsu-announce@lists.stcloudstate.edu>, ” scsu-discuss@stcloudstate.edu” < scsu-discuss@lists.stcloudstate.edu>
Subject:  [SCSU-announce]  New announcement regarding rally at VFW

All:

I am very sorry that this announcement is necessary. I had thought the VFW, which serves veterans of all races, had made the right choice. Apparently not.

This message is from Jane Conrad, who can be reached at   320-267-0899:

A rally was planned to counter racist speaker Ron Branstner who was speaking at the VFW at 9 18th Ave N in St Cloud. Two hours after I let the police know about our action and after the police talked with management at the VFW the speaker was canceled. So I canceled the rally. However, I did find out that the VFW did allow the event to go forward with a racist speaker from Willmar, Bob Enos. To counter this we are planning a rally this Saturday at 1:00 in front of the VFW. Please join us a peaceful collective community action. We are all in this together.

So, Conrad and Jaede have put out the word—show up this Saturday to send a message to the VFW!
And here is Jarrett again in his e-mail to concerned citizens:

I would suspect that every Veteran in Minnesota and surrounding States will be made aware of this planned “Protest Rally” will attend and will stand UNITED in defense and in 100% defiance to radical outside influence’s who have now made the geographical battleground the St Cloud Granite VFW Club.

To all of you in ‘pockets of resistance’ across the country, get ready for intimidation tactics like this one to silence you!

How American is a Somali who runs for president of Somalia?

This isn’t the first time a Minnesota Somali has run for president in Somalia, but it does beg the question—do people like St. Cloud resident Anab Dahir get to vote here and at the same time be a candidate to lead a foreign country?  And, do all those Somalis who have become American citizens (and some who vote who aren’t citizens!) get to vote in Somalia and here?
Shouldn’t they have to decide to which country they have loyalty?

I expect Anab Dahir has an easy time ‘campaigning’ in Minnesota, be interesting to see how she does in Somalia.

If she should win, will she go live in Somalia or govern from Minnesota?
If she goes to Somalia, doesn’t that mean that others of her countrymen should go there too?  And, in that case we sure shouldn’t be admitting NEW Somali refugees to the US.

We have admitted 6,226 Somali ‘refugees’ to the US in the first 9 months of fiscal year 2015, here.  Are they all going to vote here and in Somalia?

Just checked another US State Department data base and found out that so far in FY2015, Minnesota got 846 new Somali refugees.  437 went to Minneapolis.  St. Cloud ‘welcomed’ 189 more Somalis and St. Paul got 76.  Small numbers went to 26 other towns and cities in Minnesota.
For new readers, the UN/US State Department sent 10,000 Somalis to Minnesota over the last ten years, here.  That number does not include the over 2,000 secondary migrants that go to MN each year from other locations around the US as the Somalis build an enclave in Minnesota.
From Midnimo:

“Men have led Somalia for 25 years and they’ve never done anything,” says Anab Dahir.

Anab Dahir, a medical clinic interpreter and 42-year-old mother of six living in St. Cloud, Minnesota, came to the United States from Somalia in 1997, seeking asylum in the Chicago airport. Now an American citizen, she is active in the rapidly growing Somali community in her Midwestern state. She has become so civic-minded, in fact, that she has decided to run for office — not in the U.S., but in her birthplace. Dahir is running to become the first female president of Somalia. “Men have led Somalia for 25 years and they’ve never done anything,” she says. “Now, it’s the women’s turn.”

I think Al-shabaab, the Islamic terrorists there, will have something to say about a woman leading the country of Somalia, don’t you?

In Minnesota, refugee resettlement characterized as form of slavery

In an interesting coincidence, yesterday we posted a guest column from ‘Idaho Patriot’ about refugee resettlement as modern-day slavery and then right on the heels of that we see the same theme echoed in Minnesota—where the ‘Pockets of Resistance’ are getting organized and expanding.
Here is an article at the Morrison County Record about a concerned private citizen who is taking his own personal time to research and speak about what he is learning.
Article entitled: Speaker in Little Falls: Illegal immigrant, refugee resettlement done as a form of slavery.

Ron-Branstner
Ron Brantsner standing in front of list of the nine major federal refugee resettlement contractors in Little Falls, MN. Photo at the Morrison County Record.

Ron Brantsner, with the former Minutemen Civil Defense volunteer border watch group, was in Little Falls July 23. He was invited to the area to speak about how corporations and volunteer agencies bring illegal immigrants and refugees to Minnesota as a form of “slavery,” to do jobs Americans wouldn’t do, for low wages.

Brantsner, formerly of Minnesota, now has a residence in California.

Invited by “a gentleman out of Little Falls,” Brantsner said, “I don’t contact anybody. People reach out to me. I don’t go solicit this, I don’t get paid for this, I don’t belong to any organizations.

“When I get invited, I’m a normal everyday citizen just livin’ the dream,” he said.

Brantsner told the group that with funding from the federal government, the volunteer agencies or “Volags” as he called them, had targeted Minnesota because of the generous welfare benefits in the state. The targeted areas were those where poultry processing plants, and meat packing plants were located, he said.

Brantsner said once illegal immigrants and refugees move into a community, its Social Services, health care and educational resources are overwhelmed, with counties and taxpayers footing the tax burden.

He went on to discuss the role of large foundation grants.  The foundations are connected with BIG MEAT working to colonize communities for their own selfish cheap labor needs.
Read it all.
Great business model isn’t it?  State and local taxpayers help pick up the tab when salaries are too low to support large immigrant families.
This post is archived in our new ‘Pockets of Resistance’ category so that others of you might know, and get inspiration, about what your fellow Americans are doing to save America!  There are many more volunteers like Ron Brantsner trying to get the word out on their own dime.  Meanwhile the pro-Open Borders side is well-funded thanks to big business, the Chamber of Commerce and Leftwing foundations.
