Breitbart: Chronology of lies in case of Iraqi refugee arrested in California

So much for “robust” screening…..

Michael Patrick Leahy writing at Breitbart did a thorough job of cataloging the chronology of lies told by alleged ISIS fighter turned Obama refugee—Omar Ameen.

From Breitbart yesterday (I saw it after I posted my short news item on the arrest, here)

And, btw, other news stories on the case only did a quick summary, while Leahy actually went to the court filings:

Iraqi Refugee, Alleged Islamic State Murderer, Arrested in California

The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force arrested an Iraqi refugee in Sacramento, California on Wednesday on the authority of an arrest warrant for the 2014 murder of an Iraqi police officer issued by an Iraqi judge on May 16.

Ameen
Ameen has a scheduled hearing on Monday in his extradition case—watch the courts save his ass!

“Omar Ameen, 45, an Iraqi national, wanted on a murder charge in Iraq, appeared before a federal magistrate judge in Sacramento, California today in connection with proceedings to extradite him to face trial in Iraq.

Ameen settled in Sacramento as a purported refugee and attempted to gain legal status in the United States,” the Department of Justice said in a statement released late Wednesday.

Court documents alleged that Ameen, who entered the United States from Turkey in November 2014 through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, led a four truck ISIS caravan to Rahwah, Iraq where he murdered the police officer on June 22, 2014.

[….]

Court documents presented on Wednesday outline what appears to be a highly sophisticated ruse by Ameen, who along with many members of his family has been a member of ISIS and its predecessor Islamist terrorist organizations since at least 2004, to gain approval into the U.S. Refugee Admissions program by making a number of false statements, and then use his approved U.S. refugee status as a getaway mechanism after carrying out the 2014 murder of the Iraqi police officer.

Leahy then goes through a series of lies told by Ameen that should have raised red flags if he had ever received any “robust” vetting as the Obama Administration and the refugee industry had been insisting was the case.

As we have reported on many occasions, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees does the first cut on the supposed screening of refugees to America.

Leahy plucked this bit from government filings against Ameen:

In or about April 2012, Ameen arrived in Turkey and began the process of applying for refugee status.

Ameen claimed on his Resettlement Registration Form before the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (“UNHCR”) that in 2010, his father, Abdulsattar Ameen Hussein, was killed due to his cooperation with the American military. . . In actuality, the death certificate for Abdulsattar Ameen (which Ameen did not submit with any of his applications) indicates he died from natural causes—a cerebral clot—on December 25, 2010.

That is just one example of the shoddy screening this alleged ISIS fighter received.

comey (1)
Apparently James Comey was right about one thing when he told Congress in 2017 that the FBI was investigating US refugees for ties to terrorism.  300 he said! https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2017/05/09/comey-fbi-looking-at-2000-cases-of-us-links-to-foreign-terrorists-300-are-refugees/

Perhaps most astounding is Ameen’s time line.

He was granted refugee status on June 5, 2014 even as he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Iraq for other ISIS terror-related activities. He returned to Iraq on June 22, 2014 and allegedly killed the police officer. Did no one even know he had left Turkey?

Five months later he was resettled in Sacramento by the Obama Administration.

Read all of Leahy’s account here.

Expect the whole story to disappear from the media within days because it flies in the face of the major refugee industry talking point that refugees are thoroughly screened.

By the way, four resettlement contractors were operating in Sacramento in 2014: International Rescue Committee, Church World Service, US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.  Wonder which one placed him.

One more thing…

Through the Obama years Turkey was one of the top countries processing refugees to the US, see here.  Under President Trump, Turkey lost its significant role in sending us mostly Muslim refugees.

Afghan refugees living in Sacramento squalor

This is an old story, in fact it is a story from when Obama was still in the White House, but here it is in the UK Mirror on Saturday.  One can only assume its purpose now is to make Trump’s America look bad.

However, it isn’t Trump’s America that made these refugees live this way—placed in substandard housing fearing the inner city scum preying on them. (Hint! It isn’t white nationalists stealing their stuff either!).

More evidence that the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program should be suspended and investigated!

Out of date by over year, the news is important to make my point—the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program should be suspended and investigated!  President Donald Trump has a window of opportunity to do it right now—in advance of Fiscal Year 2018 which begins October first!  See here.

Even (most especially!) if you are a ‘humanitarian’ and don’t give a damn about the costs to the US taxpayer, about your security or terrorism, or your health, you should be joining a chorus demanding an investigation of the resettlement contractors*** who placed these Afghans in dirty and dangerous housing.

Here is a photo from the Mirror.  There are lots more (all with captions criticizing the US now under Donald Trump’s presidency).

Afghan interpreters
Unhappy Afghan young men (they say they helped the US in Afghanistan so they have a special refugee category) now living jobless in squalor in Sacramento County.  Good for America? Or, bringing us closer to chaos.

The Mirror is just using information gained in a 2016 investigation by the Sacramento Bee:

Aging suburban neighborhoods in unincorporated Sacramento County now have the biggest concentration of substandard rental apartments in the region – a reality reflected in a recent Bee series on Afghan refugees.

One area in particular, Arden Arcade, has become a problem. The Bee series, “No Safe Place,” documented how former interpreters and other Afghans who worked alongside U.S. forces in the war have been placed in run-down apartments infested by bedbugs and roaches. County documents show the problems go far beyond that. In recent months, inspectors have also found potentially life-threatening dry rot in three Arden Arcade apartment complexes that house many of the Afghan refugees.

[….]

To some degree, the county relies on complaints from residents to enforce building codes, Chamberlain [Barry Chamberlain, the county’s code enforcement chief] said. He said it’s unlikely that the Afghan refugees filed code complaints with the county, perhaps because some of them can’t speak English well. He said he wasn’t aware of the concentration of Afghan refugees in some complexes until he was interviewed by The Bee.

For the most part, the refugees have been placed in the complexes by four resettlement agencies: International Rescue Committee; World Relief; Opening Doors; and the Sacramento Food Bank, most of which have headquarters within a few miles of the complexes.  [Opening Doors is a subcontractor of Church World Service—ed]

They say it’s growing increasingly difficult to find affordable housing for the refugees, who lack a U.S. credit history. In Arden Arcade, most of the refugees interviewed by The Bee say they pay around $700 a month in rent.

More here.

Back in 2008 I reported on a letter-to-the-editor from an Iraqi teenager living in Arizona.  He made this logical comment about the large numbers of Iraqis (applies to Afghans too!) who are resettled in the US and then find themselves jobless, disillusioned and unhappy.  He said:

It is better to have 10 Iraqi refugees who are satisfied with their lives than having 100 angry ones with no life at all.

And, if that Iraqi boy can figure that out, why can’t the refugee industry contractors, the US Congress and the White House!

The answer isn’t to throw more money at the refugee program. The answer is to bring only the number of refugees that taxpayers can afford!

*** For new readers, these are the Federal contractors/middlemen/employment agencies/propagandists/lobbyists/community organizers? paid by you to place refugees in your towns and cities listed below.  Under the nine major contractors are hundreds of subcontractors.

The contractors income is largely dependent on taxpayer dollars based on the number of refugees admitted to the US and because of that they have NO incentive to slow the flow.

If you are a good-hearted soul and still think refugee resettlement is all about humanitarianism, think again! Big businesses/global corporations depend on the free flow of cheap (some call it slave) labor.  It is for this reason that Republican leaders of Congress are supportive of an uninterrupted flow of refugees into America.

The only way for real reform of how the US admits refugees is to remove these contractors/Leftwing activists/big business head hunters from the process.  (The three identified by the Sacramento Bee in this story are highlighted in red.)

Sacramento Iraqis have mental problems; no psychiatric treatment readily available

This is not the first time that we have written about Iraqi refugee mental health problems (and I suspect it won’t be the last).

So far, this fiscal year (2013) we have “welcomed” 11,066 Iraqis.  If the Sacramento percentages of suffering delicate Iraqis is representative then we have just admitted:

6,528 cases of insomnia

4,869 depressed people

4,537 people with headaches

4,205 fearful people

…all in need of mental health professionals to help them cope, so that they can find jobs.

LOL!  I bet the percentages of Americans reading this post who are experiencing sleeplessness, depression, headaches and fear are at about the same percentage as the Iraqis as we contemplate what the US State Department and the resettlement contractors are doing to America and how the heck we are going to pay for all of this!

Here is the story from California Health Line:

Many of the 2,700 Iraqi refugees living in the Sacramento area have experienced symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder but struggle to obtain mental health care services, according to a report by the UC-Davis Health System Clinical and Translational Science Center, the Sacramento Bee reports.

The report was conducted with the help of Opening Doors,* a refugee resettlement agency, and the Mesopotamia Organization, an Iraqi self-help agency.

Report Findings

The report analyzed the number of Iraqi refugees experiencing PTSD symptoms and found that:

59% of refugees reported experiencing insomnia;
44% of refugees reported experiencing depression;
41% of refugees reported experiencing headaches; and
38% of refugees reported experiencing fear (Magagnini, Sacramento Bee, 6/3).

Obamacare to the rescue?  Don’t count on it!

According to the report:

65% of refugees reported experiencing long waits for treatment of symptoms;
74% of refugees said needed services were not covered by their health insurance; and
82% of refugees said that the U.S. health care system moved too slowly (UC-Davis report, May 2013).

The Iraqi unemployment rate in the US is at about 67%.   Who knew it was because they have so many mental health problems.

He ( Sarmed Ibrahim) added that the lack of medical treatment is affecting Iraqi refugees’ ability to obtain jobs.

Just a reminder, California takes the most refugees of any state, so its only going to get worse for Medi-Cal.

* Opening Doors is a Sacramento refugee resettlement agency.  Its most recent Form 990 is here.  Out of a revenue stream of $636,186, government grants (taxpayer dollars) supplied $595,700 of their income.
