Trump Watch! begins today

Yesterday was a fantastically inspirational day. I hope you all enjoyed it.
I’ve been a Trump supporter from the earliest days of his campaign, but I also know something about how Washington works and so I see my job, in addition to continuing to report what is happening in your states and around the world on refugees, as a nag to attempt to keep the Trump Administration honest and moving toward slowing immigration and thus assuring greater security for us all.

Trump Watch! starts today!

In Gettysburg in October, here, Donald Trump outlined a plan for his first 100 days which included making progress on building the wall and securing our borders.
Many of those illegal aliens (Africans!) coming across the border now are fake refugees who will be attempting to claim asylum, so the border is of concern to us in addition to the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.
This is what Donald Trump promised would be happening immediately:

Additionally, on the first day, I will take the following five actions to restore security and the constitutional rule of law….

* FIFTH, suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur. All vetting of people coming into our country will be considered extreme vetting.

We assume “on the first day” means Monday, January 23rd!
Our Trump Watch! will report daily on how many refugees are coming in through the Refugee Admissions Program (RAP) in addition to other news about immigration in general.  (BTW, we admit thousands of immigrants through myriad LEGAL programs from “terror-prone” regions.  I don’t want to leave you with the notion that it is only ‘refugees’ coming from Islamic hotspots.)
See our benchmark post yesterday.
So while we were enjoying the festivities in DC, the US State Department admitted 168 more refugees just yesterday.
We will be watching in particular refugee numbers from Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and Syria.  There are many others coming from other regions as well that must be stopped. I’m thinking of the Rohingya from Burma and Bangladesh, Ethiopians, Eritreans and some other ethnic groups as well, but it will be those 4 we report on regularly.
Yesterday, Afghans topped the list of the four we will watch: 55 Afghans arrived in your towns, 45 Iraqis, 30 Syrians and no Somalis on Inauguration day.
See my 100 days countdown clock in the right hand sidebar!
Donald Trump was elected primarily because of the issue of  jobs and immigration, we sure hope he (with Congress attempting to railroad him!) does not get bogged down on Obamacare.
Obamacare can be fixed over the course of the year, but uncontrolled immigration, in addition to threatening our security and way of life, is robbing Americans of jobs and changing the demographic makeup of America daily!

Numbers of refugees arriving this month are through the roof!

In the last five days, the Obama Administration has admitted the astronomical number of 2,432 refugees.

Today is the big day! And, it feels like a huge holiday.  I wasn’t going to post anything since you will be glued to the tube, or maybe even in Washington, but I figured what the heck, I have news to report.

obama-grinning-four-dollars-1
Ha! Ha! It was a rush job, but we got as many in as we could since Election day!

On January 16th I told you that the daily average of arriving refugees had dropped from earlier in the fiscal year (the 2017 fiscal year began on October 1, 2016), but I checked Wrapsnet this morning and see I must revise that assessment!
As of today, Inauguration Day, we have admitted 29,895 refugees, that is a rate way above any numbers we have seen at least since the years preceding 9/11, see here.

As of January 15th, the number was 27,463.  That means in the last 5 days Obama admitted 2,432!

Trump Watch begins tomorrow!

Unless the data base disappears, I plan to begin reporting daily (starting tomorrow) overall numbers and numbers for specific nationalities in my Trump Watch series.
So here are some benchmarks for today for FY17:

Overall admissions: 29,895 (267 per day average)

Afghans: 748

Syrians: 4,588

Somalis: 3,806

Iraqis: 4,560

Here is where the Syrians (98% Muslim) have been placed between October 1, 2016 and January 20, 2017:

If you can’t read Florida, it is 276. Alaska and Hawaii got zero Syrians so far.

I just had a look at our category, ‘Where to find information’ and there is a lot of good stuff posted there.

Twin Falls, Idaho: Former Idaho Chief Justice calls out Breitbart and World Net Daily for their refugee coverage

jim-jones-2017-01-13-at-5-32-01-pmCalls those two national news outlets “outsiders,” and likens refugees from the Middle East to the South Vietnamese we took in decades ago. (OMG!)
He also says we broke Iraq (the whole Middle East), so those refugees are our responsibility too. Forever?

Let me be clear, we did not break Somalia, we did not break Syria, we did not break the DR Congo, and we did not break Burma or Bhutan either, so why are those refugees our responsibility?

They are coming to America because the UN tells us what to do, and we do it!

Here is a portion of his press release from yesterday.  And you can read more about him at the Idaho Statesman here.

We have an extensive archive on Idaho here, including many posts from World Net Daily and Breitbart, two leading publications reporting on the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program where reporters have become experts on the USRAP (unlike Justice Jones).
Don’t miss World Net Daily reporter Leo Hohmann’s new book! “Stealth Invasion” here.
Now that the justice is retired he might like to educate himself and rethink shooting out press releases like the one above.

Poughkeepsie: Church World Service has signed lease, refugees coming

The opposition that had begun to grow seems to have waned according to Poughkeepsie mayor Rob Rolison and Church World Service is expecting refugees shortly apparently confident that Donald Trump will not stop the flow anytime soon.
Although, opening the office and then having to close it, if Trump does pause the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program, will serve them well as a public relations hammer to use on the Trump administration meanies. So, it isn’t a crazy gamble on their part.

Refugees to be placed within 50 mile radius of Poughkeepsie.

Remember, refugee resettlement is a business dependent on your tax dollars and the federal contractors are skilled political fighters and will use those abilities to keep their federal money flowing. (See CWS could not exist without your money!)

Here is the latest from Poughkeepsie.  (See our previous posts here)

A refugee resettlement program in the Hudson Valley is on schedule to welcome its first families this month. Church World Service has found office space in Poughkeepsie and volunteers in the region are ready to lend a hand.

Church World Service has signed a lease for office space in the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie and the welcome mat is out, with staff and volunteers at the ready. Church World Service is one of nine resettlement agencies that contracts with the federal government to resettle refugees across the country. Church World Service, as announced in November, expects 80 individuals to relocate within a 50-mile radius of Poughkeepsie through September.

Reverend Chris Antal is president of the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council, which represents about a dozen faith communities in Orange County. The Council is a partner of the Mid-Hudson Refugee Solidarity Alliance and has established a welcome team. And Antal says the Council recently received an anonymous donation. [Someone gave them $10,000 for the effort to bring mostly Muslim third worlders to Poughkeepsie.—ed]

[….]

At a Church World Service meeting in Poughkeepsie in November, senior director for the organization’s Immigration and Refugee Program Sarah Krause said a priority is being placed on Congolese and Syrian refugees as well as Iraqis with special immigrant visas for the Poughkeepsie region.

[….]

Meanwhile, Democratic Assemblyman Frank Skartados says he hopes to work with the community to help refugees.

As is usual, the plan to resettle refugees was sprung on the community. Secrecy is its watchword (unless of course you are an insider in the interfaith community network!).

His district includes both the cities of Poughkeepsie and Newburgh. Some area residents at the November meeting expressed concern about the resettlement effort. And some say resources should be spent on Hudson Valley residents. Others are concerned the initial number of refugees could skyrocket, plus took issue with being informed of the program late in the process without many answers to their questions.

City of Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison says any talk of formal opposition seems to have waned.

Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society bringing Syrian Muslims to Philly

This is a longish story meant to be warm and fuzzy about how the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society*** is injecting diversity into crime-ridden Philly.  That should be really good for the struggling African Americans there, but who cares about them, HIAS is being paid to do a job.  This is a business.
The reporter has the facts down fairly well and I recommend reading it, especially for Pennsylvania residents who should know that your state is in the top ten resettlement states in the nation right now.

rona-buchalter
HIAS’s Philly rep Rona Buchalter is worried about what Trump will do once he arrives at the White House. Bio and photo are at HIAS’s website: http://hiaspa.org/rona-buchalter

I quibble with the selective reporting here where we are told that the refugees get $1,125 each (from US taxpayers). To be completely accurate it should be mentioned that the contractor (HIAS here) gets an equal amount for its payment to do their ‘charitable’ work.  All of the contractors are quaking in their boots now as the wait to see what Donald Trump does after Friday because cutting the numbers means cutting their income!

HIAS Pennsylvania is an affiliate of one of those nine organizations that receives funding from the U.S. Department of State to resettle refugees. They are funded to provide initial casework and help refugees spend $1,125 per person they get in assistance from the government to pay for housing, groceries, bills and other necessities. From there, it’s enrolling kids in school, finding adults work and getting families integrated into their communities. Quickly.

By the way, I once had an American, who was trying to help a new refugee family in his neighborhood, contact me to ask why the refugee doesn’t get the full $2,250 because the contractor was not helping the family. Why? This is a business!

How many Syrians since the beginning of the 2017 fiscal year?

I haven’t checked the Syrian numbers at Wrapsnet lately, so checked just now.

In the first 3 and 1/2 months of the fiscal year (it began on Oct. 1, 2016) we have admitted 4,005 Syrians, and 98% are Muslims.

Here is where they were ‘planted’ in Pennsylvania from October 1, 2016 to January 15, 2017:

98% of Syrians arriving in US are Muslims.

For new readers, know that it was HIAS which first directed the Southern Poverty Law Center to investigate RRW, see here.
***They don’t want to be called by their full name anymore, they changed it to HIAS (why was that?).
