Obama State Department launches children’s “refugee” program in Central America

Parents must be “lawfully present” to apply for their kid to join them, but I would like to know how it is that someone is here legally and their kid isn’t with them already?

Anne Richard, Asst. Sec. of State for Population, Refugees and Migration didn’t actually make the big announcement today, but she is responsible and in charge of this new racket. Richard revolved into her State Department job from a high level job with a contractor.

And, check it out!  The contractor racket is on full display!

If you are a “lawfully present” parent trying to get your kid into the US as a “refugee” from El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras you have to use a contractor to fill out the paperwork.

When a contractor fills out your kid’s paperwork, the contractor is paid for its services by you (the taxpayer) and the kid becomes a full-fledged refugee and thus eligible for every welfare benefit known to mankind and on a fast track to citizenship!

From a US State Department Press Release today:

Today, the United States is announcing the official launch of an in-country refugee/parole program in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to provide a safe, legal, and orderly alternative to the dangerous journey that some children are currently undertaking to the United States. This program will allow certain parents from one of these three countries who are lawfully present in the United States to request to bring their children to the United States as refugees via the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. Children who are found ineligible for refugee admission but still at risk of harm may be considered for parole on a case-by-case basis. The refugee/parole program will not be a pathway for undocumented parents to bring their children to the United States. Instead, the program will provide certain vulnerable, at-risk children with an opportunity to be reunited with parents lawfully present in the United States.

Applications for this program may be initiated by a lawfully present parent in the United States.Form DS-7699 must be filed with the assistance of a designated resettlement agency that works with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration to help resettle refugees in the United States. Parents do not need to pay any fee to file this form or for assistance in completing and submitting the form, but they are expected to cover the initial costs of DNA testing to confirm claimed biological parent-child relationships. Costs of DNA testing are reimbursable under certain circumstances.  [DNA testing is great, but you the taxpayer get to eat that cost too!—ed]

Form DS-7699 will not be available on the Department of State website to the general public and cannot be completed without the assistance of a Department of State-funded resettlement agency. These nearly 350 resettlement agency affiliates are located in more than 180 communities throughout the United States. Additional information about the program, as well as a list of the resettlement agency affiliates that can assist with filing the DS-7699 can be found at: http://www.wrapsnet.org/CAMProgram/tabid/420/Default.aspx

This has got to be one of the handiest documents you could have—a complete list of the contractors working in your cities!

Those initials in the left hand corner of each entry stand for the nine major contractors that control the Refugee Admissions Program and are as follows:

‘Unaccompanied alien children’ appearing all over the world; is the UN driving the scheme?

Well, you can bet that Obama*** sure had a role in starting (if not planning!) the worldwide stampede by his complete inability to control the situation on the US border.   Today we have stories from France and from Indonesia about the “children” (mostly teenaged boys) on the move.  At an earlier time in history, teenaged boys would simply be considered invaders.

And, remember it was the ‘unaccompanied minors’ which generated the tension in that Roman neighborhood just a few days ago.

In France:

From Aljazeera (the children are blaming the mean old UK).  There are a couple of good comments worth reading.

I have been to lots of refugee camps in the past: Gaza [which is entirely one]; the Iraq-Jordan border during the 2003 war; Russian republics neighbouring Chechnya. But I have never before found people in desperate need of someone’s help living in a ditch between two farmers’ fields, close to a very pleasant market town in northern France.

We, like much of the world’s media, have been countless times to Calais, to the tented camps strung out near the port, where people fleeing conflicts from Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Syria and other places are all waiting interminably. Their dream, many of them say, is to go to the UK, because they have a perception that it is welcoming to asylum seekers.

The other day an excellent organisation called Doctors of the World contacted us to say there was a new development: that because Calais was full up, people were being forced backwards, many kilometres south, away from the port and into open countryside.

So we went to have a look, and sure enough, near the village of Tatinghem, there was indeed a long ditch.

Inside it was a group of young Syrian boys – the youngest said he was 12 – who were all by themselves. Parents dead, the boys – trafficked through Turkey and Italy – had wound up in Calais but were forced to back up kilometres down the road. [So where did the boys get the thousands of dollars needed to hire human traffickers?  George Soros and his ilk? The OIC?  Don’t the dumb reporters ever ask that question?—ed]

They did not have their papers or virtually any food. They certainly were not going home, but they could not go forward towards the UK either, since they had no money.

There is a discussion you should read about how those anti-immigrant Brits can’t distinguish between illegal aliens and asylum seekers which is an important concept for do-gooders to consider.

Warning to American do-gooders: as you push for more and more immigrants of all sorts, the general public is naturally going to be so sick of it that they really won’t care anymore who is legitimate and who isn’t.  I predict a serious backlash against immigrants and their enablers in the coming years as a result.

Be sure to see the comments, especially those where readers are wondering—so why isn’t the UN pressuring Saudi Arabia to take in Muslim refugees?  Good question!

In Indonesia:

There are 950 “minors” in detention there according to the annoyed UNHCR.  From Antara News:

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – Currently, 950 children are housed in immigration detention centers across Indonesia, including more than 440 unaccompanied by their families, stated Antonio Guterres from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

However, the total capacity of the facilities is limited, Guterres noted in a written statement received here on Friday.

“The children who arrive in another country in search of international protection are extremely vulnerable and have specific needs. We should treat them first and foremost as children, not as illegal immigrants”, Guterres remarked.

Will Church World Service bring some of Indonesia’s “vulnerable children” to the US?

Don’t we have enough of our own?

Indonesia is a Muslim country, can’t they take care of the Muslim children?  Instead look who is here on your dime—Church World Service—one of our nine major resettlement contractors  The next thing you know we will be bringing the unaccompanied alien children from Indonesia to your home town.

With the support of the UN Refugee Agency and the Church World Service (CWS), the Indonesian government has set up two shelters as alternative accommodations for the children who arrive as unaccompanied refugees rather than placing them in a detention house.

On Friday, Veep Biden announced expansion of refugee program for the “children”

Gotcha! Joe Biden along with Ted Kennedy created the Refugee Resettlement Program in 1979 (Carter signed it into law in 1980), but you can count on one hand (sometimes two) the number of refugees resettled in Biden’s home state of Delaware.

I saw the news, as many of you did, and just didn’t get around to posting it (also figured most of our readers saw it anyway), but just to keep our historical record up-to-date, here is what Breitbart said about the latest Obama Central American invasion plan.

Why did Obama send Biden out to do the dirty work?  To continue to diminish any chance Biden has of running for the Presidency?  The rumor is that Obama doesn’t want Hillary or Joe to follow him.

Breitbart (emphasis is mine):

On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden promised that the White House would allow an expansion of the United States’ refugee program to offer refugee status to children and young adults from Central America. He made the announcement in a speech at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. This announcement comes on the heels of President Obama’s vow to pass additional sweeping immigration reforms by executive order before the end of the year, a move strongly opposed by Republicans in Congress.

Previous U.S. immigration policy included a program that allowed up to 4,000 people a year from Cuba and Columbia to apply for refugee status. The new policy, as described by Biden, would expand that program to people under age 21 from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras who already have a parent in the U.S. legally, to allow them to come and join their parents.

“It provides those seeking asylum a ‘right way’ to come to our country, as opposed to crossing the border illegally,” said Biden about the new policy. “The program will provide a safe, legal, and orderly alternative to the dangerous journey that some children make — and some children don’t ever arrive, don’t ever make.”

The program would begin in December, and according to a statement by the State Department, applications would be initiated in the U.S. by the parent who was legally here. If a second parent still remained with the child in the home country and was legally married to the parent in the U.S., the second parent could also be added to the application.

More at Breitbart, here.

One parent has to be here legally?

This business about the parent filing the application having to be already legally in the US doesn’t make sense.  That parent, if a citizen or legal permanent resident, could have already applied to bring a minor child to the US.

Are they going to DNA test the “children” and the “parent” to be sure the parent is really the parent?

Remember the African scam that shut down family reunification for Somalis in 2008.  Tens of thousands of so-called family members were not related at all and we admitted them for decades before discovering the fraud.

And, here is something else I want to know.  If the “legal” parent is legal through merely the Temporary Protected Status program, which is how tens of thousands of Central Americans get to stay and work in the US, will those parents be permitted to bring in their children as “refugees?”  Those kids then would be on a fast track to citizenship while their parents are not (unless Obama gives the parents amnesty).

And, btw, see our fact sheet for all of the welfare goodies legitimate refugees get from you.

What a tangled mess Obama has created in our immigration system!  Or, was that the plan all along?

More from Rome: It is the ‘unaccompanied minors’ creating tension! UN blasts “extremists”

So check it out!  ABC News is reporting that riot police have been brought in to protect the ‘children’ in a Rome neigborhood (really the teenaged boys who have flooded to Italy, just like the ‘children’ invaded America this summer).  See our post yesterday, here.

So, what do you think, just a coincidence, or is this part of a strategy, helped along by the likes of George Soros, to bring on a revolution, to bring down the West?

Riot police moved in to prevent residents of a neighborhood on Rome’s outskirts from attacking “refugees” (aka illegal aliens). AP Photo

AP via ABC News (emphasis mine):

Riot police moved in Thursday to prevent residents of a neighborhood on Rome’s outskirts from attacking refugees living at a holding center in the latest incident of anti-immigrant tensions rocking Italy.

The working-class neighborhood of Tor Sapienza has seen several days and nights of violence against refugees by residents who blame foreigners for crimes. The residents say they’re not racist, but are fed up with what they say are years of neglect by government authorities who have allowed gypsies, migrants and asylum-seekers to settle in Rome’s peripheries without providing adequate services.

For the UN it is never possible that the “children” might be the problem, it is always the local citizens who are violent and filled with intolerance.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees condemned the violence, saying refugees and unaccompanied minors fleeing war and conflict deserve protection, respect and help integrating, not “unacceptable” acts of violence and intolerance.

In a statement, the UNHCR condemned “extremists” who are capitalizing on residents’ fears to fuel conflict.

Officials at the “Smile” center said unaccompanied minors living there — most aged 16 and 17 from Egypt and Bangladesh — were being moved to another center in Rome for their own security after another small clash broke out Thursday.

Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society at it again: this time lobbying for lawyers for the “children”

The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) is one of nine major federal refugee resettlement contractors (aka lobbyists) which live off of your tax dollars.***

Mark Hetfield is the CEO of HIAS. http://www.hias.org/leadership/mark-hetfield

They have been busy, busy, busy lobbying for everything from amnesty (S. 744, Gang of Eight bill), to more Syrian (mostly Muslim) refugees for America, for an expansion of the refugee program and now for more bucks for the Unaccompanied Alien Children.

This is from their latest Action alert:

When Congress returns to Washington next week it must vote to fund the government for the current fiscal year. Decisions will be made about funding immigration judges and lawyers, detention facilities, and whether or not to keep important protections in place for children seeking asylum.

Join us in urging Congress to ensure that children and others who are running for their lives are given a fair chance to seek asylum in the United States.

And, for the convenience of their supporters they even provide language for their appeal.  Note they are pushing for the “children” to be granted asylum (they would then be “refugees” and get all the goodies available to them as full-blown refugees).

Subject line:

Central American Children Must Be Allowed to Seek Asylum

Text:

I support fair and humane treatment of Central American migrants who have sought refuge in the United States. Rampant violence–much of it aimed at women and children–has led thousands of people to flee Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador in the past two years. Most of the unaccompanied children arriving in the U.S. have fled violence, sexual abuse, forced gang recruitment, and other forms of exploitation and should be eligible for asylum or other relief in the U.S.

As a global humanitarian leader, the United States must respect the rights of those who seek asylum. However, under U.S. law, asylum seekers–including children–are not eligible for court appointed lawyers. This means that many children must navigate the complex immigration system alone and must represent themselves in court, and many are jailed while doing so.

As you consider the bill to fund the government for the current fiscal year, I urge you to ensure that there is sufficient funding for immigration courts to process cases efficiently and for lawyers to represent all children seeking asylum. I urge you to fund alternatives to detention rather than facilities that will jail those who seek safety in the United States. Finally, I urge you to keep in place important existing legal protections for children seeking asylum.

Throughout our history, America has been defined by our generosity toward those who seek a safe haven from violence, oppression, and persecution. I urge you to show leadership in ensuring that children and others who are running for their lives are given a fair chance to seek safe haven in the United States.

***Check out HIAS, Inc.’s Form 990 (the most recent one available).  They had a total revenue of $25 million and $15 million came from you as government grants (in rounded numbers) Hetfield made $186,000  that year, but out-going President Gideon Aronoff was pulling down a salary in excess of $300,000 for a partial year.  Maybe Aronoff could take a few of the ‘persecuted’ children into his home?
