Why should US/Europe take Syrian refugees while Gulf Arab states take ZERO?

And, why is the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) completely silent on this glaring hypocrisy?  Muslim countries who brag about their Islamic compassion (see this post from 2009 where the UNHCR had the nerve to suggest that it is Islam—Shariah law!—that first welcomed the stranger and not Christian or Jewish charity) do not allow their co-religionists to live among them.
Once in awhile over the last many years, we see a story like this one where someone dares to ask why rich Arab countries like Saudi Arabia get away with this—with importing cheap domestic labor while not “welcoming” a single Syrian Muslim refugee.

The humanitarian tragedy unfolding daily in Europe has forced the West to again try and redefine its obligations to those who have been made vulnerable as a result of conflict in the Middle East, particularly the Syrian civil war.

But it may also have stirred a desire to question why the burden is shared by so few countries. In particular, why are wealthy Gulf countries still able to salve their consciences by donating money to UN agencies, along with weapons to Syrian rebels, while at the same time refusing to sign the UN Refugee Convention or accept any refugees for resettlement.

It seems to be no great sacrifice for them to open their doors to fellow Arab Muslims, allow them to settle in their countries, and in due course become citizens.

There is something intrinsically wrong when Saudi Arabia can source 1.5 million people to act as domestic help, and a country like Bahrain can issue visas for more than 33,000 housemaids, and yet they can’t even resettle one Syrian refugee.

The answer to our question seems pretty obvious to me—the Gulf States want to maintain their racial and cultural superiority (LOL! NO multiculturalism for them!), they are racists, and they would like the West to be further Islamized via migration.  We apparently are dumb enough to acquiesce!
And, by the way, Saudi Arabian money is building mosques in America.  They know what they are doing!

SC writer: Refugee program is fake Christian compassion

Editor:  This is a letter written by a concerned citizen of South Carolina.  It is an open letter to the Spartanburg County Council. The council may have no legal way to stop the US State Department (or so we are told), but if the Council voted to say they were not supportive of the effort to bring in impoverished people from the third world (because Spartanburg has its own poor minority) it would go a long way to persuade the US State Department to go elsewhere.

As of this writing I haven’t seen an update of what happened with meetings in  Spartanburg when the US State Department sent its top dog to a town that has developed a ‘Pocket of Resistance’ to World Relief/UN/US State Department plans to establish an immigrant seed community there.

Below is the letter from Beverly Owensby.  The sentiment she expresses here is one all of you concerned about being labeled “unwelcoming” or unchristian should pay attention to.  It is a view we have expressed here many times over the years—true Christian charity is using one’s own time and money  to help the poor preferably where they live.  Or, if one adopts, or supports an immigrant child or family, one uses one’s own resources and doesn’t dump the responsibility on the taxpayer.
An open letter:

After spending hundreds of hours on fact based research, the current REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT program is nothing more than an AMERICAN INVASION. Many are exploiting the compassion of Christians to trick them into accepting the REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM as the right thing to do to protect Christians from being persecuted. This is so far from the truth. Based on the U.S. State Department website, the majority of REFUGEES are Muslims. Why? The UNITED NATIONS is responsible for selecting who comes to America. GEORGE SOROS is spending billions of dollars to ensure the success of this program. If the United Nations and George Soros cared about Christians, they would have done something to prevent ISIS from killing so many Christians in the Middle East and other parts of the world.

The United States is $18 Trillion Dollars in Debt and cannot afford to pay for REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT! The United States is on the verge of an economic collapse that will destroy America. The influx of ILLEGALS coming across our Southern Border and entering the U.S. along with the REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT program are by design to overload the system.

Update:  This WND story made it to Drudge today and it went through the roof!
Leo Hohmann, writing at World Net Daily last evening has another detailed article on the Refugee Admissions Program of the UN/US State Department and a report from at least three important ‘Pockets of Resistance.‘

She does the bidding of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres, the former Socialist President of Portugal (on the left). Together these two are changing (colonizing!) The WND article begins:

The pushback started earlier this year in South Carolina, then spread to Minnesota, Idaho, and now North Dakota.

Michigan and Ohio are also organizing against what local residents say is a sinister and sneaky federal program that almost never gets serious coverage from local media. It’s the U.S. State Department’s refugee resettlement program, which has been humming along on autopilot since Congress passed the Refugee Act of 1980, signed by President Jimmy Carter.

No longer satisfied with pat answers, residents in several states are starting to ask the hard questions. They are showing up at meetings, starting blogs and email lists, digging up information and bypassing local media to inform their friends and neighbors of what’s really going on with the refugee movement.

In conservative Twin Falls, Idaho, for instance, a group of 100 activists are going door to door informing their neighbors about how the refugee program works. Organizer Rick Martin says most people are surprised to find out that the United Nations picks most of the refugees destined for America, and that the Catholic Church, the Lutheran and Episcopal churches, along with evangelical and Jewish groups get paid by the federal government to resettle refugees in the U.S.

“When we mention that the U.N. is involved most of the time they won’t believe it, so we have to show them the articles,” Martin said.

Since, I have BIG MEAT on my mind these days and the role it plays in lobbying for cheap, legal, immigrant labor, comments by Minnesota’s Bob Enos jumped out at me:

The nine private resettlement agencies, including “charities” within the Lutheran, Catholic, Episcopalian, and evangelical churches, get federal grants to resettle the refugees, essentially acting as front groups for the government, but without the transparency and accountability that would be expected if the government did the work itself, said Bob Enos, spokesman for T-3 (Truth and Transparency in Taxation) in St. Cloud. His group is pushing for more openness in the way refugees are resettled in Minnesota.

“I think the meat packers had a lot to do with this,” Enos, a former businessman, told WND. “These are people in business whose raw materials won’t allow them to outsource overseas, so if you can’t bring the factory overseas you bring overseas to the factory.”

Read it all!  It is, as usual, very thorough, and it might give you some ideas on what you can do in your ‘Pocket of Resistance (POR)’.

Syrian Christians fear Muslim-populated United Nations camps

When I give presentations on our Refugee Admissions Program, I am asked all the time if we are taking Syrian Christians in our refugee flow and I tell people—very few!

I had heard anecdotally that Christians fear the Muslims in the United Nations camps.

Last week Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily confirms our suspicions in an article entitled, ‘Obama response to Christian killing fields ‘horrifying’.
Quoting  George Marlin, author of a  new book, “Christian Persecutions in the Middle East: A 21st Century Tragedy,” Hohmann tells us this (emphasis mine):

As of December 2014, 600,000 Syrian Christians had fled their country or have been internally displaced, Marlin reports. In Aleppo, more than 65 percent have been forced to leave.

He told WND most Syrian Christians will not go to the United Nations refugee camps for two reasons. First, they are afraid they will be harmed and, second, they do not want to leave their country. [Hohmann previously reported that Assad had protected the Christians.—ed]

“The Christians are afraid to go to those camps, because the camps are basically populated by Muslims, and they’re afraid of retaliation and harm in these camps,” Marlin said. “So what is happening with the Christian refugees is the Christian community is basically taking care of these people, they’re staying in the churches, they’re staying in Christian homes, and we at Aid to the Church in Need are trying to get aid to the churches that are housing them.”

So every time you see a Syrian camp photo, or see that one of our resettlement contractors is over there helping in the UN camps, or you see Angelina Jolie visiting a Syrian camp, remember they are helping mostly Muslims.

What do the numbers look like?

Just a few days ago, I reported that the refugees now numbering over 1,000 who have been admitted to the US since 2012 are 94% Muslim.  After reading this WND article I went back to check the data base for just the Syrians admitted to the US in 2015.  What did I find?  The number of Muslims admitted is even greater when only 2015 is analyzed!
In 2015 we admitted 763 Syrians so far.  Of that number only 23 are Christians, 36 say they are simply Muslim and another 698 are Sunni Muslims.

So 96% of those arriving in US towns and cities are Syrian Muslims (mostly Sunni Muslims).

That means that US resettlement contractors including the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, World Relief, Church World Service, Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society are placing mostly Sunni Muslims (chosen by the UN) in your towns!   And, you pay for it!
The Jihad Caucus is aptly named!
Fourteen US Senators have asked Obama to admit 65,000 Syrians before his term in office ends.  We call them the Jihad Caucus because they are advocating for more Muslim refugees to be admitted to the US.

UNHCR Antonio Guterres: Got’em by the short hairs now!

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (the same one telling the US to take 65,000 Syrians) has apparently won over the Norwegian right and now Norway has said it will take 8,000 Syrians CHOSEN BY THE UN and move them to towns across Norway (with a little cash thrown in to local governments as sweetener).

There has been enormous reluctance by most Western countries to take in Syrians (mostly Sunni Muslims who cannot be thoroughly screened) and the UNHCR had to break the logjam.

 They will now use Norway to guilt-trip other reluctant countries into opening their doors to Syrians.

Watch for it!  The next thing we will hear is that ‘If Norway can take 8,000, surely the US can take 65,000!’

Even more puzzling is that this decision, to trust the UN, was apparently made after it was learned that there were ISIS fighters in the allotment the UNHCR had already selected for Norway!

Norway has agreed to take in 8,000 Syrian refugees by the end of 2017, under an agreement reached June 10 by most of the Scandinavian country’s political parties.

The country now plans to welcome 2,000 Syrians this year, that is 500 more than previously planned, followed by 3,000 each year in 2016 and 2017.

The new figures aim to meet a quota set by the UN refugee agency UNHCR.

A compromise came after long discussions between the right-wing minority government, which had opposed allowing in any more refugees, and centre and left-wing parties, which wanted to accept 10,000 people in two years.

Under the agreement, financial aid will be distributed to the country’s regions to encourage them to give shelter to those fleeing Syria’s four-year war.

Another 5,000 refugees who have already been granted residence permits in Norway are still living in community shelters, and need to be given homes.

“This is an important step in the right direction,” the Norwegian Refugee Council aid agency said in response to the announcement.

“NRC now urges other European countries to follow. With some exceptions, like Germany, the European countries have done far too little in response to the largest humanitarian crisis in our generation,” it added.

The UNHCR has called on the international community to resettle more people fleeing Syria’s civil war, which it says has triggered the largest humanitarian crisis since World War II.
