Two Major Refugee Contractors Receive Millions to Move Illegal Aliens from the Border to Interior US

Because this story is so important, I’m posting it instead of a weekly round-up of refugee news.

And, besides, the US Refugee Admissions Program has been stalled for some mysterious reason by the Biden gang so there isn’t a lot new since last week.

I can only guess the hold-up is because they have created such a crisis at our wide open border with their fake refugee invasion that they aren’t beginning the large movement they promised the Left of Africans, Asians and Middle Easterners into the country fearing more anger from their 80 million voters! (Only 24% of all Americans support Biden border policies.)

That isn’t making the nine contractors***, who are paid by you and me to place them, happy.

However, two of the nine contractors are busy collecting millions to ostensibly take care of the women and kids, including some “not so nice women,” arriving at the border in historically high numbers.

Those two are the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.

Sister Norma Pimentel, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, and Cardinal Blase J. Cupich of Chicago greet asylum seekers at the Humanitarian Respite Center at Sacred Heart Church in McAllen, Texas, in 2017, the location of the viral video from Infowars last week.

First, to get a feel for the magnitude of the crisis, see the New York Times story headlined:

Young Migrants Crowd Shelters, Posing Test for Biden

The administration is under intensifying pressure to expand its capacity to care for as many as 35,000 unaccompanied minors, part of a wave of people crossing the border.

More than 20,000 children and teenagers are in the custody of a government system that is already at “103 percent of capacity,” including nearly 17,000 in shelters run by the health department, according to briefing materials from Operation Artemis, a response to the border crisis led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Government projections obtained by The New York Times show there could be more than 35,000 migrant children to be cared for by June — a prospect that one former senior health and human services official called “terrifying.”

The NYT story does not mention the role Catholic agencies are playing, but does mention Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.  Of course you are led to believe that they are doing their work of moving migrants to the interior US out of the goodness of their Christian hearts.

Viral Video

Now,, see the controversial film in front of a Catholic agency in McAllen, Texas from Infowars this week if you aren’t one of the million or so who have already seen it.

Sister Norma Pimental was chosen by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in America for 2020. https://time.com/collection/100-most-influential-people-2020/5888284/sister-norma-pimentel/

Needless to say, Catholic Charities has blasted Jones’ video saying at Catholic World Report:

Catholic Charities Rio Grande Valley on Thursday said a viral video of their work with migrant children on the U.S.-Mexico border is “inaccurate and unauthorized.”

We have been doing our humanitarian work for years, said Pimental director of Catholic Charities Rio Grande Valley.

One of those on the scene for the confrontation in front of McAllen’s Catholic Charities facility is Tim Enlow and it is worth an hour of your time to see and hear him explain to patriot interviewer Delora O’Brien what exactly went down that day.

One of the most shocking revelations in the interview is that Enlow describes the arrival at the scene of a white man identifying himself as wealthy and from Philadelphia who claims he was told by a nun! that he could come down to McAllen and pick up a couple of van loads of single women he could care for and provide work for!

Watch it before Youtube removes it!  Hat tip: Robin.

O’Brien and Enlow charge that the government, our US government, is sponsoring child smuggling!

Your tax dollars at work!

They are more right than they know since both Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are raking in millions from the US Treasury to ‘care for’ Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC).

If you are a long-time reader of RRW, this news is not new!

I bet for others, you had no idea that YOUR TAX DOLLARS were paying these ‘religious’ charities for their work!

Data for the Bishops from USA Spending where all federal grants and contracts are catalogued.

Here we learn that the USCCB has pulled in $17.9 million in just the last 12 months for their UAC ‘care.’

The UACs represent the biggest chunk of the Bishops payola right now.

Below you can see a year-to-year comparison.

They have lost some serious money since Obama, but they are picking up steam again.  See for FY21, which we are in right now, they anticipate more millions this fiscal year as represented by the yellow line.

The Lutherans have got the Catholics beat!

Again data from USA Spending.

LIRS doesn’t need to be bringing in refugees from around the world, they are doing very well taking care of the illegal alien children. The $55 million is their take (of your money) for the children! over the last twelve months.

By the way, LIRS is over 90% taxpayer funded. There is no passing the plate at Sunday services for them!

Longtime readers know that LIRS was mired in controversy a few years ago, but notice how much the Trump Administration was shelling out to them.  More than any Obama year!  Pity that Trump never put anyone into key positions who knew where the bodies were buried.

***In case you are new to RRW, here are all of the contractors.

They worked to ‘elect’ Biden/Harris and lobby for open borders.  As taxpayers you pay them millions annually to change America by changing the people.

Americans Last! is their motto!

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops and Biden; Will they Shut Up about the Babies?

So what do you know, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, at one time the largest (of nine) refugee resettlement agencies in America,*** will have to walk a fine line as Chairman Joe and his minions are opposed to recognizing the life of the unborn, a major tenet of the Roman Catholic faith.

Where is Hunter? Here he was lurking in the background when the Bidens greeted the Socialist Pope a few years ago.

Under Biden/Harris, money for abortions will flow freely throughout the world !

Rock and a hard place….

On the other hand, the Bishops are extremely happy that Biden wants open borders and a flow of refugees into the country that would be larger than St. Obama every proposed—125,000—and the Bishops know that their financial bottom line depends on continuing to put the lives of migrants, both legal and illegal, above America’s vulnerable people especially as the Chinese virus continues its scourge.

So, will the Bishops shut up about the lives of the unborn?

From the National Catholic Reporter:

Can Catholic bishops work with the Biden administration?

The news last week was that the U.S. Catholic bishops are getting ready to wage war on the new administration — and possibly each other — over the Catholic president’s positions on abortion, gay rights and religious freedom.

That may be true, but there are plenty of areas where the bishops and the Biden administration are on the same page and could work together. It would be a tragedy for the church, the administration and the United States if disagreement on some issues makes it impossible for them to work together on others.

If the bishops need a model, they can recall the Trump administration, whose agenda they were not totally on board with: They liked the administration when it came to abortion and religious freedom but opposed it on most other issues.

What controversial issues could the bishops and the Biden administration work on together?

They can agree on flooding America with more poverty while Americans are suffering!

The Bishops want more refugees; they agree with the moratorium on deportations; and they are so happy to invite more Muslims to your American towns and cities.

The U.S. Catholic bishops frequently condemned the Trump administration for its cutbacks on refugee admissions and funding.

Bishop Mario Eduardo Dorsonville-Rodríguez was born in Columbia

“We continue to be disappointed by the Trump Administration’s diminishment of the U.S. refugee resettlement program, as these decisions have a tangible impact on those fleeing religious persecution and other vulnerable families in need of refuge,” said the bishops in October. “The low number of admissions, given the global need and the capacity and wealth of the United States, is heartbreaking.”

The bishops, who have been involved in refugee resettlement for many decades, welcomed the new administration’s plans to return refugee admissions to their previous levels.

They are happy to see a change in attitude and programs from the new administration.

On Inauguration Day, the chair of the bishops’ Committee on Migration, Bishop Mario E. Dorsonville, responded positively to the administration’s 100-day moratorium on certain deportations, allowing for a comprehensive review of current immigration enforcement policies.

[….]

The bishops also applauded the administration’s ending of the ban prohibiting immigrants and refugees from certain Muslim countries from entering the United States.

More here.

The Bishops lost MILLIONs during the Trump years!

So how much funding did the Bishops lose under President Trump, the most supportive and vocal PRO Life President ever?

Because the Bishops don’t file a federal IRS Form 990 (they claim they are a church and thus are exempt from filing) it can get a little challenging to see how much federal moola they are receiving from you, the American taxpayer.

However, here we have screenshots from their annual reports to demonstrate they did take a major financial hit during the Trump years as Trump dramatically slowed the flow of the third world to America.

From the Bishop’s Annual report for the last two years of the Obama/Biden Administration. Disgustingly, they have been milking the US taxpayers since 1975 for their migration work!

And, I bet you thought their work was all out of the goodness of their charitable Christian hearts.

Now see the 2020 annual report for two Trump years.

Look at that hit they took! That must have been painful for the church that has had to pay out huge sums in recent years for their child sex abuse scandals.

Just for fun, I went back to 2009 (first full Obama year) and note that their federal ‘take’ that year for their migration program was a mere $18 million. So, Obama/Biden sure managed to fill their coffers.

Let’s keep an eye on the Bishops and whether they shut up about babies lives as the refugees (paying clients) Biden has promised start flowing in….

America Lasters!

***For New Readers these are the nine federal refugee contractors who worked to put Biden and Harris in the White House and are lobbying for millions of illegal aliens to be transformed into legal voting citizens, as well as raising the refugee admissions ceiling from 15,000 this year to 125,000.

They are largely paid by you, the taxpayer, for their work of changing America by changing the people, and in so doing, are putting Americans last!

Catholic Bishops Lead the Call for More Refugees for America

This is basically the same story I reported on two days ago, but I see that Catholic News Service is succeeding in getting it published widely as it keeps popping up around the country.

I thought this version of it, published in Kentucky, sure didn’t highlight the right photo to go along with the story.  First, we don’t take refugees from Greek camps, but really, at this point in time does this photo warm your heart?

People displaced from the destroyed Moria refugee camp rest while waiting to enter a temporary camp on the Greek island of Lesbos Sept. 15, 2020. Refugees were charged with arson in the massive fire.  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8740029/Four-young-Afghan-men-charged-arson-enormous-blaze-Lesbos-migrant-camp.html

From The Record:

As federal fiscal year nears, refugee resettlement agencies fear the worst

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has continually called on the administration to allow more refugees into the country.

Why can’t the U.S. Catholic bishops “protect the life and dignity of the human person” in the streets of every major city in America?

In the summer, Auxiliary Bishop Mario E. Dorsonville of Washington, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Migration, joined in a statement put out by World Relief and Open Doors about the impact of changes to the nation’s immigration and asylum policy.

“I pray our nation will reverse course and once again stand with refugees and asylum-seekers, including those escaping religious persecution,” Bishop Dorsonville said. “Catholic and evangelical leaders have formally asked the administration to consider refugees fleeing persecution at this time.”

The USCCB’s Migration and Refugee Services says its called to defend those seeking shelter, keeping with Catholic Church teaching, and the organization fulfills the commitment of the U.S. Catholic bishops to protect the life and dignity of the human person, including those seeking asylum, refugees and other migrants.

I bet a million bucks that God would be happy with a commitment by the Bishops to help homeless and struggling Americans.

Catholic Bishops Support Judge’s Decision; (Again!) No Mention of their Millions

“Our mission is the truth. Join us!

As a CNA reader, you know our team is committed to finding, reporting, and publishing the truth.”

(JD Flynn, CNA Editor-in Chief, Catholic News Agency)

Readers, please forgive me!  This is the third post in three days about the US Catholic Bishops inability to report the truth that they are paid millions of taxpayer dollars to “welcome the stranger.”

As I have said in my two previous posts (here and here), I’ll keep reporting the truth as they continue to hide it.  As a federal refugee resettlement contractor, the US Bishops ‘Christian charity’ runs on MONEY extracted involuntarily from you—taxpaying citizens.  It does not come from generous parishioners as they want you to believe.

All I am asking is that they admit that the Refugee Act of 1980 (Kennedy, Biden and Carter) set them up as the middlemen to pass along your money to ‘new Americans’ and then pretend they are benevolent Christians.

And, of course they keep a cut for their overhead and lobbying office! It’s been a sweet deal for four decades—until Donald Trump came along.

Here they are again this morning—high-fiving the judge and disparaging the President.

From Catholic News Agency:

Ruling against Trump executive order helps people flee danger, bishops say

Bishop Mario Dorsonville is from Colombia and gee he has his own coat of arms, see here: https://adw.org/about-us/who-we-are/auxiliary-bishops/

Washington D.C., Jan 21, 2020 / 02:01 pm (CNA).- A federal judge’s ruling has halted President Donald Trump’s executive order that allows states and localities to refuse permission for refugee resettlement. The ruling drew praise from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which stressed the need to help refugees to safety and to maintain a uniform refugee policy.

“Today’s ruling is a welcome step in our ongoing ministry to provide refugees, who are fleeing religious persecution, war, and other dangers, with safe haven here in the United States,” said Bishop Mario Dorsonville, an auxiliary bishop of Washington who chairs the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Migration.

“Jesus Christ, who was part of a refugee family, calls us to welcome the stranger….

[….]

Dorsonville noted the Catholic bishops’ previous “deep concerns” about the executive order.

“We feared the negative consequences for refugees and their families as this Executive Order would have created a confusing patchwork across America of some jurisdictions where refugees are welcomed, and others where they are not,” he said.

Wouldn’t common sense tell them that knowing where refugees were welcome, or conversely not welcome, should benefit refugees they place. The most welcoming places would then be made clear to them.  But, no, they want to decide, without you ‘deplorable’ citizens having any say, where they want them placed!

Next, praise for the consenting governors:

“Once more, we see the intention to act united as a nation in the effort to provide solidarity to those who need it most and are encouraged by the compassion that this nation has towards refugees,” Dorsonville said.

The U.S. bishops said that federal officials will “diligently engage” with state and local officials to ensure local concerns are taken into account, but federal officials will have the final decision over refugee resettlement.

Hypocrisy Alert!  They want the feds to have the final say in this case, but it is an entirely different matter when it comes to sanctuary cities they support! In the case of sanctuary cities, the cities run US immigration policy!

And, just a reminder.  Under the Refugee Act of 1980, the President can decide to admit zero refugees—watch how loudly they will be wailing if that ever happens!

More here.

And, too funny that CNA’s editor makes that comment (above) about truth at the end of this story.

Just so you know, as we reported a couple of days ago, according to USA Spending, the Bishops have lost millions of federal dollars for their ‘migration fund’ during the Trump presidency (so far).

From USA Spending. Federal grants to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. Down from over $104 million in most lucrative year under Obama.

For readers who are wondering where is the ACLU and other groups working for the separation of church and state—they ignore the billions going out to the ‘religious’ charities bringing in refugees and working for amnesty for illegal aliens because they are all on the same team.  They are all Leftwingers working toward a socialist America.

Good and faithful Catholics must speak up in your parishes!

Endnote: Let’s hope I don’t see another deceptive media report about the Bishops tomorrow!

Texas Catholic Bishops Blast Governor; Once Again NO Mention that Bishops are Paid to do their Christian Charity

I’m going to be busy (possibly bore you), but I am going to have to follow through on my promise of yesterday and point out the fact that Catholic Bishops are paid handsomely to do their ‘good works’—paid by you, the US taxpayer.

Once again we have a ‘welcome the stranger’ sob story with no mention of the millions of federal dollars the refugee industry, the nine federal contractors*** (including the US Conference of Catholic Bishops), has enjoyed for near FOUR DECADES!

I have a dream that one day I’ll see an article in the mainstream media that actually tells the public about the Bishop’s pipeline to the US Treasury.

From Radio NB:

https://txcatholic.org/bishops/

(CBSDFW.COM/CNN) – The bishops of Dallas and Fort Worth are among the 16 Texas Catholic bishops who have denounced Gov. Greg Abbott’s decision to reject new refugees in 2020. Texas is the first state to do so under a new executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

The bishops released a joint statement Friday after the decision was made. They called Abbott’s decision “deeply discouraging and disheartening” and “misguided.”

“It (the decision) denies people who are fleeing persecution, including religious persecution, from being able to bring their gifts and talents to our state and contribute to the general common good of all Texans,” the statement read.

“As Catholics, an essential aspect of our faith is to welcome the stranger and care for the alien,” the bishops added. [Yes!  But with private Christian charity, not with money taken from taxpayers!—ed]

Bishop Olson of Fort Worth: We need to get our MONEY! Well, no, he didn’t say that and that is why I am posting on their MONEY again.

Texas is home to about 8.5 million Catholics, nearly 30% of the state’s population. Bishops Edward Burns of Dallas and Michael Olson of Fort Worth represent the dioceses in North Texas.

[….]

Since 2010, Texas has received more refugees than any other state — about 10% of the nationwide total, the governor said in the letter. The Pew Research Center reports that since 2002 Texas has accepted more than 88,000 refugees — more than any state but California.

“Texas has carried more than its share in assisting the refugee resettlement process and appreciates that other states are available to help with these efforts,” Abbott said.

More here.

This is why they are so upset!  From USA Spending posted yesterday.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has lost millions of federal dollars under President Trump’s refugee resettlement reform effort.

From USA Spending. Federal grants to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Do the 8.5 million Catholics in the state of Texas condone the Bishops living off the US taxpayers and keeping that fact secret?

I bet the vast majority of Catholics think that they are taking care of refugees by passing the plate at mass.

By the way, the Bishops were not alone. Texas Muslims blasted Governor Abbott as I reported earlier today.

*** For new readers these (below) are the nine federally-funded refugee contractors that operate as a huge conveyor belt monopolizing all refugee placement in America.

A ‘religious’ message from CWS’s “ministry!” CWS is one of three federally funded contractors suing to stop the President’s effort to reform the UN-driven Refugee Admissions Program.

And, they do not limit their advocacy toward only legal immigration programs, but are heavily involved in supporting the lawlessness at our borders.

The question isn’t as much about refugees per se, but about who is running federal immigration policy now and into the future?

Go here to see that the nine contractors sucked down over $3 BILLION in federal grants in the last 11 years.

(I plan to say this once a day from now on!)

I continue to argue that these nine contractors are the heart of America’s Open Borders movement and thus there can never be long-lasting reform of US immigration policy when these nine un-elected phony non-profits are paid by the taxpayers to work as community organizers pushing an open borders agenda.
