Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society praises federal agencies for “responding to anti-refugee resettlement backlash”

The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society is one of the nine top federal resettlement contractors.***  Thanks to Joanne for spotting their published testimony to the US State Department last month.  Daily readers know that the State Department has refused to make public any testimony they received.

The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society’s statement is here.  Check it out!

Melanie Nezer, author of the report on anti-refugee backlash is calling for 75,000 Syrians to be resettled in the US. And, they wonder why there is a backlash! https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/03/29/hebrew-immigrant-aid-society-us-should-bring-75000-syrians-to-us-over-next-5-years/

Pockets of Resistance!

The most interesting/amusing part, at least to us at RRW, is a segment of the testimony praising the State Department (PRM) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) for “responding” to the “anti-refugee resettlement backlash”

(I assume by responding they mean that those federal agencies shoveled more of your $$$ to contractors to write reports and hire the likes of ‘Welcoming America’ to help community organizers get your minds right about the growing crush of refugees resettled to your towns and cities).

Here is what they say:

They thank PRM and ORR for “responding to the anti-refugee resettlement backlash that has emerged to threaten the long-term viability of the US Refugee Admissions Program…”

Cool! They have written a whole report about “pockets of resistance.”

They go on to tout their own report written by Melanie Nezer and entitled, Resettlement at Risk: Meeting Emerging Challenges to Refugee Resettlement in local communities’ (a report which I can’t wait to read!).

Other items of interest in the testimony include expressions of:

* Happiness that LGBTI’s are getting in to the US.

* Happiness about relaxed terror screening.

* Happiness about the fact that PRM reached its ceiling of 70,000 refugees admitted last year (they don’t always reach the CEILING).

*Unhappiness that we aren’t letting the Syrians in.  They want 75,000 Syrians over five years.

*Unhappiness that we aren’t expanding family reunification to suit them.

*Unhappiness that not enough refugees from the Ukraine and Colombia have been let in yet.

There is other stuff too, have a look.

Sweden: whole school class of girls had genitals mutilated

Diversity is strength alert!

Oh my God!

As long-time readers know, Sweden is my bet for the first European country to fall to Islamic dominance.  We have an extensive archive, click here, on the insane Swedish Leftists who have opened their doors wide to any Muslim migrants who can get there!

Here is a story from last week (posted on World Refugee Propaganda Day no less) about a shocking discovery in Sweden!   All the girls in one school class were mutilated!

From Breitbart (hat tip: Judy).  Emphasis is mine:

School health services in the small Swedish city of Norrköping have found 60 cases of female genital mutilation (FGM) among schoolgirls since March, with evidence of mutilation found in all 30 girls in one class, 28 of the most severe form.

In Sweden, where the EU’s Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) says that FGM “is considered to be a serious problem,” the law enables genital examination of children to be carried out without parents’ consent.

FGM has been a crime in Sweden since 1982 and can be punished by up to four years in prison, increased to 10 years if judged to be an aggravated offence.

According to EIGE, concerns about FGM became widespread in Sweden in the early and mid-1990s with the influx of Somali migrants: “The first national action taken in the field…was initiated after alarming testimonies from the healthcare sector indicating the existence of FGM among many — if not all — women that originated from FGM-practising countries.”

If they are “refugees” who fear for their lives, what the hell are they doing going back to their “home country?”

Now the daughters of immigrants are in danger of undergoing FGM. According to the Local, the risk of becoming a victim of the procedure increases in the summer when many schoolgirls visit their parents’ home country: “We’re working to inform parents that they could face prison if they come back and their children have undergone female genital mutilation,” said Petra Blom Andersson, student health coordinator in Norrköping.

Mutilation carried out abroad has been a crime in Sweden since 1999.

In 2013, Somalis were the third largest group granted asylum in the EU countries, according to a Eurostat figures reported yesterday by Breitbart London, with almost 10,000 granted protection. Sweden gave refugee status to 26,400 people last year, more than any other EU country.

You know this is happening in America too!  The silence is deafening!

Lexington, KY: World Refugee Day event visited by Americans First

Could a new “pocket of resistance” be building in Kentucky?

As you know, political leaders in several cities are voicing their concerns about the large numbers of refugees placed in their cities and as a result putting enormous strain on social service and school system budgets.  We reported yesterday about requests for moratoriums on further refugee resettlement in several New England states.   And, don’t forget earlier this year Amarillo, TX was also asking for a reprieve.

And, as you know, last Friday was World Refugee Propaganda Day.

(An aside:  I just saw an interesting perspective on World Refugee Day where a commenter wondered why anyone would celebrate the fact that the UN has utterly failed in its supposed mission to quell violence around the world.)

We told you on June 16th that Lexington, KY would be the site of a World Refugee Day “celebration” put on by Kentucky Refugee Ministries (a refugee resettlement subcontractor of Church World Service working for the federal government).

Americans First:  Fighting for social and economic justice for US Citizens

What we didn’t know was that a budding organization called “Americans First” planned to pass out fact sheets at the event with information attendees need to know!

Go here for the excellent Fact Sheet!   And, tune in to Americans First radio!

Surprisingly, the media was not at the “Summit” but Kentucky Refugee Ministries dubbed it a success with 160 participants (a large number of which received Americans First fact sheet).

Contact Americans First, here.   Organizers plan to make this a national movement.

Second largest religious tradition by state; Islam in 20 states

This is old news by a few weeks, but Debbie sent me this very informative map today that was published at The Blaze a couple of weeks ago and I think it’s a good addition to our ‘where to find information’ category.    And, perhaps a good companion to our refugee statistics regarding top languages spoken by refugees admitted to the US (Arabic is the number one language of refugees arriving in the US right now).

By the way, the US State Department does track the religions of refugees they admit to the US, but does not make that information available to the general public.

Major media mentions refugee resettlement moratorium calls in New England

Thanks to everyone who has sent me one version or another of this story about calls for refugee resettlement moratoriums in Springfield, Mass, Lewiston, Maine, and Manchester, NH.***    Regular readers here know the problems in those three New England cities well, so it is not news to us.

However….

What is news is that the news (mainstream media) is actually paying attention and making connections!  I don’t know which came first, the Fox News story (Fox does credit AP), or the AP story.

But, I’m thrilled to see the word “moratorium” used other than on the pages of RRW!

I haven’t enough time to analyze the articles for you, so please read them!  There is one thing that caught my eye, however, that needs to be mentioned.  The US State Department and its contractors choose resettlement cities with virtually no input from the locals (elected or otherwise), any reference to “stakeholders” usually means only FRIENDLY stakeholders (for the record, I hate that word)!

Daniel Langenkamp (right) Public affairs adviser at US State Dept. PRM http://www.linkedin.com/pub/daniel-langenkamp/1a/197/563

Once they have established a seed community of certain ethnic groups they then throw up their hands and say—what can we do? Families must be reunited and we can’t stop refugees from moving where there are ethnic enclaves of their kind of people.  You see their cop-out in these stories when State Department spokesman Daniel Langenkamp says this:

Such requests [for a moratorium—ed] are rare, said Daniel Langenkamp, a department spokesman.

“We make every effort to work with local officials and other stakeholders to ensure the resettlement of refugees is acceptable,” he said.  [If everything went so well there would never have been a RRW!—ed]

The Department, he said, does not place refugees unless an area is equipped to handle them. [LOL!–ed] The government’s work with refugees in Springfield is mostly about family reunification, and it cannot keep families from moving there if they are placed elsewhere, he said.

He doesn’t mention that other locales have asked for moratoriums as well.  I’m thinking of other “pockets of resistance” like Clarkston, Georgia and Amarillo, TX among others.

Note to any city contemplating “welcoming” refugees, remember this!  Once a seed community is established, the extended family comes, and there is no stopping it!  Any elected official calling for a slow-down or outright moratorium will be demonized!

See my ten reasons why a MORATORIUM is needed! —all the more important now that the border is being overwhelmed with mostly teenaged boys seeking “asylum.”

*** Search RRW for each of those three cities and find dozens of posts (spanning several years) on problems in each.
