Lobbying on the Omnibus!
Here they are popping up in Congress this week promoting an amendment to give more taxpayer money for Sryian refugee resettlement to your towns and cities.
Not to be left out of our list of ‘religious’ charities promoting open borders and more Syrian Muslim refugees is the American Friends Service Committee and the Friends Committee on National Legislation. As far as we know they don’t have their greedy fingers in the federal treasury like the nine federal contractors do, but they can be counted on to push for anything the No borders Left wants on immigration.
It’s kind of hard these days to find a church or a synogogue at which to worship that hasn’t been taken over by the Left!
Here AFSC lists this week’s possible vote on the Omnibus Appropriations bill as an action item for good Quakers across America.
And here the Washington Post tells us about the Friends Committee on National Legislation’s role on the Omnibus funding bill as well.
A letter to House Appropriations Committee leaders from Reps. Juan Vargas (D-Calif.), David Cicilline (D-R.I.) and Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) to INCREASE funding for refugee resettlement is being circulated with the help of Jasmine Taeb a lobbyist for FCNL.
The letter asks committee leaders to “substantially increase funds” to help the departments of State, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security process refugee applications and screenings.
“The world is watching how the United States responds to the situation in Syria,” the letter reads. “It is critical that our humanitarian and foreign policy priorities align with how we allocate our budgetary resources.”
A total of 112 members of Congress have signed that letter since the Paris attacks, according to Yasmine Taeb of the Friends Committee on National Legislation, a Quaker group that has been helping circulate the letters.

A few years ago (2011) I wrote at some length about the Quakers’ role in the original ‘Sanctuary movement,’ their role in creating CASA de Maryland and how they worked against the state of Israel, here. At that time I learned about how Quakers had played an important part in that disastrous Gaza flotilla incident. And, I bet you thought they were just a bunch of peaceniks!
I was further stunned at the time, that some of us who had organized a Maryland conference including speakers on Islam, were treated to protests outside by a few Muslim activists along with Quaker activists trying to call us Islamophobic and racist.

In that post at Potomac Tea Party Report I linked this spoof of the classic ‘We are the World’ song. The parody is from Latma TV (and from time to time I watch it to boost my spirits!). The Friends (Quakers!) were one anti-Israel group behind the Gaza Flotilla!
And, so now I have an excuse to post it again:
Since the pro-Muslim migration Quakers are working so hard in Congress this week, don’t you forget to counter them!
Action Alert: Call your members of the House and Senate at 202-224-3121 and ask them to vigorously oppose the Refugee Resettlement funding contained in the Omnibus Spending Bill that will be voted on by 12-11-15! Don’t stop calling (we will keep you posted as we learn more about when the vote might occur).
