US Catholic Bishops received over $95 million from US taxpayers in 2016 for refugee/migrant care

Yesterday we reported on the Bishop’s 2014 dollars received from the US Treasury, see here.
USCCB
Now, thanks to reader Joanne (who did some digging!) we see that the USCCB is approaching $100 million federal dollars for their ‘charitable good works’ on behalf of immigrants of all stripes.
Unfortunately, this data doesn’t show us the percentage of private money raised for their migration program, but I suspect it isn’t much more than 3% of their overall migration budget as it was in 2014.
Buried in the USCCB Financial Statement and audit reports, here:

My goal is to get the Bishops to admit in media reports that they are being paid handsomely for their good works!
If you are Catholic and looking for something to do, ask your local priest if he is aware of all these millions of federal dollars, especially this week—National Migration Week—when you are made to feel guilty for not being thrilled about the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program!
For new readers the USCCB is one of the nine federal contractors responsible for placing refugees into your home towns. In fact, the Bishops and their extension—Catholic Charities—place the largest number of any of the nine.

Vermont: "Man" attacks elderly woman with machete at hotel for homeless

I saw the story yesterday and am looking around this morning for any news about the “man” (the alleged attacker) who happens to have a Muslim name and looks like he might be Somali.  I’m not seeing anything yet.
Is he a refugee, an illegal alien, an asylum seeker, a diversity visa lottery winner, what?
There should be a law that immigration status is immediately available in criminal acts like this!

Harbor Place
The attack happened at the controversial Harbor Place, a hotel for the homeless. The converted Econo Lodge was a source of controversy here in 2016:   https://www.sevendaysvt.com/OffMessage/archives/2016/12/01/harbor-place-motel-for-the-homeless-can-stay-in-shelburne

Below is one of several stories on how a woman delivering meals for the homeless was attacked by a machete-wielding African “man” who then barricaded himself in his room for the next couple of hours.
From the Daily Caller:

A man armed with a machete assaulted an elderly volunteer worker at a homeless shelter in Shelburne, Vt., Friday morning, according to local police.

32-year-old Abukar Ibrahim attacked a 73-year-old Meals on Wheels volunteer while she was delivering food to Harbor Place, which provides temporary emergency housing to those in need.

While in the office, the female victim reportedly saw Ibrahim vandalizing her car. When she confronted him and tried to intervene, the man became violent, assaulting her with a machete.

The woman was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center with multiple injuries, including a “significant leg wound.” She received treatment and was later released.

In the wake of the attack, Ibrahim, who police identified as the assailant, barricaded himself in a room for two and a half hours. He supposedly taunted police officers from inside the room before deciding to come out and surrender. The attacker was sent to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility on charges of attempted murder.

He will be arraigned tomorrow.

Shelburne is only 15 miles from the USCRI affiliate in Vermont—-Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program.  Inquiring reporters might want to call there and see if Ibrahim is one of their’s.

Iranian news agency takes note of US Muslim population numbers from Pew

I noticed over the last few days that news agencies around the world seemed to be fixated on the Pew Research conclusion that Muslims will over take Jews as the second largest ‘religious’ group in America by ? (predictions on how soon vary!).
My post is here.
But, this morning I was surprised to see that the huge Iranian news agency—Mehr News Agency—was paying so much attention that it appears to have lifted in its entirety World Net Daily‘s story on the findings.  (It might have left out a few bits of Leo Hohmann’s report, I didn’t analyze all of it, but enough to see that it was lifted mostly verbatim.)
I could find no attribution given to WND.
The fact that my name came up in an alert for a story at an Iranian news outlet is what inspired me to go have a look.
