Abilene, TX: Case dismissed in African refugee translator sex case

African refugee witnesses got cold feet, were “terrified” to testify against Burundian man.

Diversity is beautiful update!  We first reported the arrest of Aloys Nzeyimana here in 2010.  I made a point then of mentioning that the man’s nationality was not published, but from this report we know now he is from Burundi.

Aloys Nzeyimana walks!

From ReporterNews Abilene:

The case involving a former interpreter who was charged with one count of indecency with a child, two counts of sexual assault and one count of burglary was dismissed Monday due to the lack of cooperation of witnesses and alleged victims with the district attorney’s office.

As it stands right now, Aloys Nzeyimana, a native of Burundi in central Africa, is not charged with anything. When he was first arrested in December 2010, Nzeyimana was a translator for the Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District, working mostly with African refugees.

He speaks English, French and Russian in addition to three African languages. Nzeyimana’s trial was supposed to have started Monday.

“We knew there would be an issue with the refugee community (in Abilene) because they sort of have an inherent distrust of authority coming from their background in their home countries, so we knew it would be a difficult case,” Taylor County Assistant District Attorney Dan Joiner said Monday. “But the (Abilene) police did a very good job and spent many, many hours talking with them, but we knew that when it came to trial, there’s going to be an issue of the alleged victims coming forward.”

Everyone is too “terrified” to testify.  Here is another report, this time from Big Country, where a reporter tries in vain to get someone to talk—most pretend they don’t understand English.

For new readers!  Texas is the second largest refugee “welcoming” state after California.  From 2007-2013, they “welcomed” over 40,000 refugees to the Red state that the Left is attempting to turn Blue, here, through demographic change.  Click here to have a look at where your state ranks.

Swiss asylum-seeker controversy brings world-wide attention

This is an update of a story we posted last week about how some towns in Switzerland with detention facilities nearby, fearing crime, are restricting the movement of the ‘asylum-seekers’ from mostly Muslim countries.

This is from AFP and posted at Fox News, but the story is being reported in a whole host of media outlets.

Africans arriving in Switzerland (via Malta!) in 2012

Swiss citizen:  If they don’t like our laws they can go somewhere else or back to the country they came from!

Switzerland is one of the countries in Europe that welcomes the most asylum seekers in proportion to its population, with some 48,000 people currently in the process of applying for asylum in the small Alpine nation, including 28,631 who arrived in 2012 — the highest number since 1999.   [Welcomes!  Reporters world-wide have fallen for their lingo!—-ed]

Amid the recent spike in refugees, Switzerland has been rushing to open a slew of temporary asylum centres.

But the Swiss public, which in June overwhelmingly voted to tighten the country’s asylum laws, often resist the creation of such centres in their neighbourhoods.   [Where have we heard this before?  Oh yeh!  Germany!—ed]

Szoelloesy acknowledged that four of the 10 communities asked to host new centres since last year had been granted the right to set up “sensitive areas”, like Bremgarten, to help avoid “bad feelings” towards the asylum seekers.

Don’t like it here?  Leave!

“To tell you the truth, I think that if they are not satisfied with the laws in the country that is housing them they would be better off returning to their countries or going elsewhere,” young Solothurn local Maria told RTS.

Read the whole story.  The “human rights” cabal is up in arms and some Turks are demonstrating.

Photo is from this story about Switzerland taking 19 of the illegal aliens who arrived on Malta.  The US has taken at least 1,300 of Malta’s illegal migrants over the last few years.   Notice in this story that the presence of the Africans was kept from the public for months.

Malta Today report on migrant survey results sounds elitist

The story basically says—-If only the uneducated boobs among the public were better informed they wouldn’t fear that their country was being “invaded.”

Shipment of Syrians (?) arriving on Malta’s shores.*
Nah! No invasion here, nothing to see, move along!

Longtime readers know that we have been following the plight of the tiny Mediterranean island nation of Malta as it has been overwhelmed for years with boat people (asking for asylum) from Africa—-most recently the flood is a result of the glorious Arab Spring and the US-supported (US-driven!) ouster of Gaddafi in Libya.

Our interest in Malta is two-fold.  First, as much as I hate the worn-out phrase ‘canary in a coal mine’ that about sums up what Malta represents, and secondly the US State Department (egged on by their Jesuit friends on Malta) is transforming Malta’s illegal aliens by the hundreds into “refugees” destined for your town!

Seems that a major news outlet on Malta—-Malta Today—did a survey and found that shock-of-shocks, the general public is feeling invaded.

Here is a bit of the story:

MaltaToday survey indicates that a majority of respondents (55%) support the pushback policy.  [Go here for some of our coverage last month of the proposed push-back policy.—ed]

The MaltaToday survey held this week reveals that the greatest concern the Maltese people have about migration by ‘boat people’ is the fear of being ‘invaded’ or seeing their country ‘taken over’ by migrants.

The survey indicates that a majority of respondents (55%) support the pushback policy considered by the new Labour government in July, before the European Court of Human Rights stopped any such action. It had already ruled such a policy illegal when practised by Silvio Berlusconi’s right-wing government in Italy.

Support for pushbacks is particularly strong among Labour voters and those lacking a tertiary education.

LOL! It is my experience that the less-formally-educated country class (working class) on whole are much smarter when it comes to mass immigration then their “tertiary-educated” and politically-correct fellow citizens.

The photo is from this story, although there is no caption, this must be the boatload of Syrians referred to in the article.

* Correction, a reader has reported this boat actually landed in Sicily.  Malta has only gotten a few Syrians, most arriving there are Africans.

WaPo: Reader questions motives of Hetfield and Schwartz

The other day I posted on the Israel-bashing by American Jewish elitist Leftwingers here.   Now I see that a WaPo reader from Maryland has some good questions for the pair of refugee advocates.

Tiny Israel will die if Hetfield and Schwartz get their wish.

This letter to the Post is from Melvin Farber of Silver Spring:

In reading the Aug. 4 op-ed “Strangers in Israel,” I wondered what point authors Eric P. Schwartz and Mark Hetfield were making. The column wasn’t a call to action by the United Nations, the United States or the world to help Eritreans. Except for two sentences about Sudanese refugees in Egypt, it didn’t ask why Eritreans weren’t seeking asylum in the Arab world, on the African continent or in the Muslim and Christian worlds. The point seemed to be to single out Israel for criticism.

The authors singled out Jews for not living up to the authors’ view of Judaism, as mentioned in the Bible or as promoted by Israel in general terms about refugees. There are more than 190 countries in the United Nations, representing 7 billion people, living on nearly 58 million square miles of land. Israel has a population of about 7 million, living on 8,300 square miles of land. Why are these authors not criticizing the world, the United Nations, the United States, the Arab League, the European Union, the African League, the Christian world or the Muslim world for the tragedy in Eritrea and elsewhere and the plight of their refugees, rather than criticizing Israel?

Yes!  I’ve never heard this pair say boo! about Saudi Arabia for instance when that country sends asylum seekers packing! I repeat:  Why do they hate Israel so much?  Or, like good hypocrites everywhere on the Left, are they just using the refugee issue to bash Netanyahu?

Al-Shabaab terrorist recruitment video released in US

But, you likely won’t get to see it because according to this report it’s been pulled down already.

The film (we first heard about here on Thursday), described as professional and well-made, features three of the “youths” (for the first time I see one was not a Somali refugee) we chronicled ad nauseam starting back in 2008 beginning here who thumbed their noses at the good life given to them by the US taxpayer and refugee resettlement contractors and went back to Somalia for Jihad training.

Abdi Bihi: Not enough “programs” or jobs for Somali youths to keep them in Minnesota!

Thanks to reader Cliff, here is the story at Fox News 9:

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) –

A new recruiting video from the terror group al-Shabaab posted to YouTube and called “The Path to Paradise” focuses on the journey of three men who left Minnesota to die in Somalia.

The video, which demonstrated high production values, has since been taken down; however, FOX 9 News obtained a copy of the never-before-seen footage of three young men who left Minneapolis six years ago to join training camps in Somalia.

All three of the men profiled in the video — including the only non-Somali to be recruited — are now dead, killed either in combat or in suicide attacks.

[….]

The nearly 40-minute video features Dahir Gure, Mohammed Hassan and Troy Kastigar, all of whom left for Somalia in 2007 and 2008. The video chronicles the path of the three “from the Twin Cities to the Land of 2 Migrations,” and each of them spoke directly to those who are still in Minnesota.

“I would like to speak to my brothers in western countries,” Gure said.

The story discusses how the newly-minted Jihadists went back home to Africa supposedly to fight the ‘invading’ Ethiopians (that was their story and one some US Senators bought, here, in 2009), but it was (and is) a war against the infidel culture of the West especially America.

Although over the years we give Abdi Bihi credit for sounding the alarm and fighting the radicalization of the refugee “kids,”  this is not about how much stuff Americans give refugees, it is the prevalence of radical teaching in local mosques and the lack of parenting in the Somali community (indeed the parents probably are encouraging attendance in radical mosques).

Here Bihi sounds like he has been talking to too many ‘progressive’ activists there in Minnesota:

“It is targeting, for the first time, specifically our young men and women,” said Abdi Bihi, who works with Somali youth and whose own nephew, Burhan Hassan, went to Somalia and died.

Bihi said the video indicates al-Shabaab needs new soldiers and is hoping to find them in the large population living in the Twin Cities, where unemployment is high and there are few programs to help young Somali men and women.

By the way, most of the Somali youths who gave up life in America to fight for Allah were well-educated (thanks to the US taxpayer) and had bright futures ahead of them.   A shiny new community center with more basketball courts was not going to hold them in Minneapolis (one proposal years ago).  Material ‘stuff’ and the good life does not trump Allah’s message to kill the infidels!

For new readers, we have probably a hundred posts on the ‘Somali youths’ who left America or Canada or Europe to learn to be Jihadists.  If you type those words (Somali youths) into our search function this is the extensive archive you get.

Why so many Somalis in Minneapolis?  This post is almost daily one of our ‘top posts.’
