As I just said in my earlier post this morning, I’m fooling around with RRW with the primary goal of making it more easily read.  I’ve had complaints about the tiny print which comes with my previously free wordpress blog.  This is the largest print that seems to be available.
Previously, I wasn’t able to post videos either, so this is a test!   Here is my first youtube video with over 600,000 hits so far!

Now if only I had someone to answer all of your mail!

I was away most of last week and so our usual weekly round-up just didn’t happen.  Instead I thought I would let you know how we did in June especially as the month marked our 8th year posting on problems with refugee resettlement here and around the world.

Readership is booming!

Although June wasn’t our biggest month ever (May was), one thing worth noting is that as of the end of June (6 months into the year) we had more readers so far in 2015 than in the whole of 2014.
Before I get to the Top Three Posts of the month, please note that we are making changes.  I had hoped to have a whole new blog by now, but worry that the change, after years of readers seeing a certain look, would be too disruptive, so I’m going to try to simply (slightly) improve the look of RRW.
I’ve had complaints that the font size is way too small, so will upgrade the site necessary to get a larger type-size.
I think after I upgrade, wordpress will not place random ads on my pages which at present I don’t control.  RRW continues to be a charitable enterprise by its writers.
Also, note that I took away some unnecessary side bar widgets (surely you won’t miss the tag clouds!) and added our twitter feed and facebook page.  I still need to clean up our blog roll and our recommended reading list is years old.  (LOL! I have not patience or aptitude for the nuts and bolts of blogging, just want to get the news out!)
Since I get way too many news stories than I can post, please consider following me on twitter because I’ll try to put more news there.  And, maybe you’ve noticed already that on facebook we have stories that weren’t posted at RRW.
We have over 4,000 likes on facebook thanks to help from volunteer Kelly.

The most important thing I tell new readers is to use our ‘search’ function (top left hand side bar) and put in a few key words (ie. your city or state) to help you find information among our 6,000+ posts!

It’s been a banner week for Refugee Resettlement Watch, but a lousy week for me to get many stories posted and for that I apologize.
The subject is exploding across the country and it keeps me hopping (so very sorry I can’t always answer all in the boatloads of e-mail I receive) fielding phone calls, and requests to speak (either in person or on radio shows).
I’m keeping a log of radio shows in hopes of one day reporting that I’ve been on a show in every state!
Grassroots activists across the country are also mobilizing and getting media attention.
Another highlight this week:  The little 4 minute Youtube clip I did with SecureFreedom.org passed the half million mark. Who are all those people?
And, another high point this past week occurred on Wednesday (I was in DC for meetings) when we hit our busiest day ever!  I think it might have been helped along by the World Net Daily story (Push back growing! by Leo Hohmann) that day which revealed that the rich Leftwing groups (refugee contractors!) had published a report outlining a strategy to shut up anyone or any town elected officials that might be resisting their plans to seed America with migrants.

Since we get new readers every day, here is my usual spiel with two points I need to continue to make:
First, we do screen our comments (sometimes I don’t get to them right away!) and I don’t post any that threaten any kind of violence or ones filled with foul language.  An occasional expletive might slip in if the comment is otherwise a good one.  You are always free to disagree with our point of view if you follow those two simple rules.

And the other thing I want to mention is about e-mails that come to you every time we post.  They come directly from wordpress to subscribers.  We don’t send out e-mails.  So, if we are posting too much for your e-mail inbox, then just unsubscribe and visit RRW when you have the time.  I understand completely about too many e-mails!  You might want to simply follow us on twitter or on facebook (below).

By the way, our category entitled ‘where to find information’ is filled with reports and documents, but with 347 posts archived there, it is pretty unwieldy now.
