Australia: Anti-sharia and anti-racism demonstrators square-off in several cities, violence breaks out

Will this be coming one day to a city near you?

Reclaim Australia over Islam! In Melbourne, demonstrators were separated by mounted police.

We just told you about the rise of the European right in our previous post, and now we see the right fighting back in Australia as well.

A special tax on that gruesome Islamic halal slaughter was the ostensible focus of the rally by anti-Sharia activists, but so-called anti-racism demonstrators (hard Leftists) turned it into a melee in which some demonstrators were hurt.

Amazingly, proceeds from the fees that companies must pay to label their foods halal would go to Islamic organizations.

From the Daily Mail (hat tip: Brandon):

Anti-Islam protests in Australia against Sharia law and halal tax turned violent after demonstrators clashed with anti-racism activists who burned the country’s flag.

Police were forced to separate the Reclaim Australia supporters and opponents of the group in Melbourne, after clashes turned ugly and several people had to be treated by paramedics.

The protests came as companies seeking to label their foods halal – must pay fees to Islamic organisations for inspection and certification.

Recent figures show the halal sector could be worth $1.5 trillion worldwide by 2050.

Across the country, 16 rallies were scheduled to take place, with events in Sydney and Melbourne appearing to have drawn the biggest crowds.

About 500 people attended the rally held in Martin Place, Sydney, which included speeches from former Australia Defence League member Shermon Burgess and Rise Up! Australia Party NSW President Norm Bishop.

There was a strong police presence throughout the protest, which included riot police. Two people were taken away by officers after they rushed the stage and attempted to disrupt the rally. One took the microphone and told the crowd they should be ‘ashamed’.

In Melbourne, protesters clashed with anti-racism activists in Federation Square. Two people were arrested after they attempted to break through a police barricade that separated the different groups.

Just as we do with our ‘Invasion of Europe’ series, we post on Australia so you know that one day, as the Muslim population grows, this could be happening where you live!  Our Australia archive is here where the present government is attempting to stem the tide of Muslim migration, but possibly it is too late with the population already too high and the stealth jihad well underway.

In Invasion of Europe news, huge refugee flow into Europe fueling the rise of the right wing

This story is from the New York Times yesterday and is built around the news that Bulgaria has completed a significant border fence with Turkey in time for the spring flood of Syrians, other Middle Easterners and Africans trying to get to the more ‘welcoming’ and potentially lucrative, for them, western European countries like Germany and the UK.

Bulgarian security people believe the jihadists are in the flow.

From the New York Times (emphasis is mine):

Bulgaria attempting to keep migrants on the Turkish side of their border.

Lesovo, Bulgaria — Less than two decades after the painstaking removal of a massive border fence designed to keep people in, Bulgarian authorities are just as painstakingly building a new fence along the rugged Turkish border, this time to keep people out.

Faced with a surge of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa — and the risk that they include jihadis intent on terrorist attacks — Europe is bolstering its defenses on many fronts, including this formerly Communist country, which little more than a quarter-century ago was more concerned with stanching the outbound flow of its own citizens to freedom. For the past 16 months, Bulgaria has been carrying out a plan that would sound familiar to anyone along the United States-Mexico frontier: more border officers, new surveillance equipment and the first 20-mile section of its border fence, which was finished in September.

The hardening of the Bulgaria-Turkey border is one very visible manifestation of the agitation across the continent about the economic, social and political ramifications of the surge in immigration. With warmer weather fast approaching and more refugees likely to be on the move, nations along Europe’s southern tier are beefing up border staffing, adding sensors and other technical barriers, expanding refugee facilities, and building walls.

More than 200,000 refugees are known to have penetrated Europe’s land and sea borders last year, not including those who were able to sneak through undetected.

And the numbers for the first two months of this year, when Europe enjoyed its second mild winter in a row, were up sharply compared with the same period last year.

Anti-immigrant sentiment is increasing in Britain, France, Hungary, the Czech Republic and elsewhere across the continent. Parties espousing ethnic nationalism are seeing their support rise, some to the point where they threaten the dominance of more traditional parties.

“The rise of the right wing in Europe is a reaction to this refugee flow,” said Boris B. Cheshirkov, chief spokesman in Bulgaria for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

[….]

Slavcho Velkov, a Bulgarian security expert and university lecturer, said he believed there was more jihadist movement through Bulgaria than the authorities acknowledged.

“I have seen such fighters here with my own eyes,” he said. “I spotted some at the central bus station and struck up a conversation. When I asked them where they were going, they said, ‘We are going to heaven.’ ”

Minnesota: More than half of the state’s Somalis live in poverty, yet feds and contractors continue to pour them into the US

At the present resettlement rate, the US State Department will admit nearly another 10,000 Somalis to the US by September 30th, the end of the fiscal year (as of the beginning of March the contractors distributed 3,944 new Somalis to American towns and cities).

This story is from Minnesota where three US resettlement contractors are still bringing them in even if there are no jobs!

Remember in February US State Department’s mouthpiece Psaki said we must find jobs for jihadists in the Middle East. So, following their own logic, why can’t they see that by flooding America with Somalis (who can’t find work), they are creating the same explosive situation in your home towns! http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/17/state-department-spokeswoman-floats-jobs-as-answer-to-isis/

Who is to blame?   Lutheran Social Service (we told you about them here just last week), Catholic Charities and World Relief (renamed Arrive Ministries).  More than half of the state’s Somalis live in poverty and these so-called “Christian charities” just keep bringing them in!

Those three “charities” have seeded Minnesota with 10,000 Somalis in ten years (in addition to the thousands in previous years!).  They have created a monster!

Remember in February when US State Department Spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said we had to find jobs for ISIS militants so that they would give up their Islamic jihad agenda!  So, why don’t they follow their own logic?   By pouring Somalis into the US (where there are no jobs), the State Department and the contractors are setting up the same potentially explosive situation?

From Minnesota Public Radio about a recent Somali job fair in Minneapolis:

As the economy picks up across Minnesota, the state’s Somali-born population continues to battle higher than average unemployment.

The most recent figures, for 2011-2013, put Somalis’ unemployment at 21 percent, about three times the rate for the general population during the same period of time.

Some Somali community leaders are concerned that the lack of opportunities can fuel despair, especially among young people.

[….]

Census numbers show that of Minnesota’s five largest immigrant groups, Somali unemployment is the highest. More than half of the state’s Somalis live in poverty.

“We have the highest unemployment rate than any other groups — including the newcomers,” Mohamud Noor, Confederation of Somali Community in Minnesota executive director, said in February. He was speaking at a news conference held in response to a White House address on countering violent extremism.

Social problems — including unemployment and a lack of opportunity — can fuel sympathy for international extremism, he said: “Almost 30 percent [unemployment]. Nobody’s talking about that.”

[….]

Mohamud Noor, who leads the Confederation of Somali Community in Minnesota, watched this week as job-seekers clustered around recruiting tables for the Department of Homeland Security, Family Dollar and Delta Global Services at the Brian Coyle Center.

He said he was pleased to see tables for the Minneapolis Police Department and Hennepin County staffed by Somali employees. But he noted the prevalence of government and nonprofit employers: “Quite honestly, I’m disappointed.” he said. “I don’t see the Fortune 500 here.”

It is all about finding them jobs. They all whine and moan, but no one ever says:   We must halt the Somali migration to America!

Judicial Watch sues DOJ for withholding documents on mysterious 2014 explosion and fire in Somali neighborhood in Minneapolis

I love Judicial Watch!

Here is the headline of their press release this week:

Judicial Watch Sues DOJ for Records Regarding Suspicious 2014 New Year’s Day Explosion at Apartment Building in Minneapolis Muslim Neighborhood

We reported on the still-unexplained fire here and here (with links to other posts on the subject).

Judicial Watch press release (hat tip: Deb):

The building was demolished within days so many feel there was not adequate time to investigate the cause of the explosion and fire.

Documents already obtained by Judicial Watch raise serious questions about source of explosion, cursory local investigation, barring of ATF agents from investigating

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) to obtain records regarding its response to the January 1, 2014, explosion of an apartment building in the largely Muslim Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FOIA lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (Judicial Watch v U. S. Department of Justice (No.1:14-cv-02212)).

The FOIA lawsuit, filed after the DOJ failed to respond to a March 12, 2014, FOIA request to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), seeks:

Any and all records regarding, concerning or related to the investigation of the January 1, 2014 explosion and fire at the Cedar-Riverside apartment complex in Minneapolis, Minnesota, based on searches of the FBI’s Electronic Case File system, Central Records System and Electronic Surveillance records, as well as any cross-referenced files concerning the explosion and fire.

At 8:16 a.m. on New Year’s Day in Minneapolis, a building at 516 Cedar Avenue containing a grocery store and several apartments exploded, killing three people and injuring 13. All of the apartments were occupied by single men. Many were hurt while jumping out of the burning building’s windows in order to escape the carnage.

See Minnesota seeded with 10,000 Somalis in ten years, here.

The ultimate question!  Why are we still bringing Somalis to the US at the rate of 800-900 a month?

A picture worth a thousand words! UNHCR supplies go to ISIS

The very same United Nations agency that is choosing the refugees for your towns and cities—The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (which receives millions and millions of your tax dollars every year)—is apparently in the ISIS supply business!

This is from Allen West’s blog (hat tip: Lynn):

Well, since some people like Nancy Pelosi think terrorist groups are “humanitarian organizations” or like the Catholic university who thinks they can use some humanitarian support, is it any surprise supplies from the United Nations are finding their way to ISIS?

Yep, ISIS released these images from one of their training camps in Aleppo, and there they are, kneeling on lovely tarps carrying the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) logo.

There is more, read on!

For more on the UNHCR and the present High Commissioner, Antonio Guterres (former socialist Prime Minister of Portugal and former President of Socialist International), click here.   Guterres has 10,000 Syrians in the pipeline to America right now, while the FBI says they can’t be properly screened for security!
