Sioux Falls, SD: Refugee (seedlings) too rowdy; police need more officers

If your community is considering becoming the welcoming “soil” for the immigrant/refugee “seedlings,”  here is one more example of what you need to be ready for.

If you saw our top post of the last week, here, about the White House Task Force on New Americans you know that they are referring to the immigrant/refugee “seedlings” being planted in your community.   They are being planted in hundreds of American cities large and small.

Betty Oldenkamp is the CEO of Lutheran Social Services in Sioux Falls (responsible for planting the refugees there) and is on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce. For those of you following the national amnesty battle, you know the Chamber has been at the forefront of the Open Borders movement. Why? More immigrants needed for cheap labor! They make the money, you get the social disruption of your community. http://www.siouxfallschamber.com/board-of-directors.cfm

From the Argus Leader (hat tip: Robin):

There’s a domestic violence problem within the refugee and immigrant community in Sioux Falls.

Part of it’s cultural – coming from societies where beating one’s spouse is more accepted.  [Isn’t diversity beautiful!—ed]

Couple that with perceptions that law enforcement is corrupt, and you have victims who are reluctant to contact law enforcement.

I’m taking a closer look at the relationship between police and immigrants, in particular how past experiences with corruption and brutality in other countries can follow people to the U.S. and Sioux Falls.

Police Chief Doug Barthel has heard the stories of police mistreatment from refugees. Barthel says there shouldn’t be a fear of a calling the police, especially if you’re a victim. Everyone needs to feel safe, he said, and having law enforcement helps.

Police invited the public out for a cup of coffee in January to discuss concerns and build relationships.

The department also received a grant from the Community Oriented Policing Services, or COPS program, which allowed them bring in five new officers.

One of the main focuses of these officers will be to do public outreach with the immigrant and refugee population.

No mention of what countries the refugees in Sioux Falls come from, however we know it’s the Lutherans bringing them in.  Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota monopolizes refugee resettlement in the state.

South Dakota: Iraqi refugee gets life in prison for sex trafficking

Denmark tightens asylum rules, sees dramatic decline in ‘refugee’ applications

As Germany marches over the demographic cliff, at least Denmark is trying to save itself!  Or, is it already too late?

I suspect sensible Danes saw demonstrators like these (and below) and said, what are we nuts!

Last year the government announced major changes in the Danish asylum process limiting the time ‘asylum seekers’ can stay, and those who do stay must wait a long time to bring in the family.

In contrast, once someone is declared a refugee in America they are in for life and can immediately bring in the family!  In fact, with the Syrian civil war, it could end tomorrow, but any Syrian refugees admitted to the US are here for the next ___number of generations!

Muslims burn Danish flag! From: http://www.barenakedislam.com/2013/06/25/denmark-minister-of-justice-kept-secret-more-than-100-arson-crimes-committed-by-muslims/

From The Straits Times:

In January, 626 people – around half of them from Syria – applied for asylum in the Scandinavian country compared with 3,150 in September, according to the Danish Immigration Service.

The Danish government said in September it would introduce a temporary, one-year residence permit for asylum seekers fleeing civil wars such as the Syrian conflict.

The new permit, which came into force this year, can be extended for another two years and does not allow family reunifications to be granted during the first year.

“I think one of the most crucial factors for how many people apply is the length of the asylum and the conditions for family reunification,” the ruling Social Democratic party’s spokesman on integration issues, Ole Haekkerup, told news agency Ritzau.

“This is where the government has made an effort,” he added.

Read and weep! Christianity in Germany dying as Muslim ‘refugees’ move in

This story hit me like a ton of bricks!

It wasn’t just the news, but the way it is reported and how chipper the archdiocese is about the opportunity to unload an abbey to the government to house ‘refugees’ (most are really economic migrants and not legitimate refugees) from Muslim countries.

Beuerberg Abbey in Beuerberg, Germany, as seen Jan. 9. The 12th-century monastery will house up to 60 refugees from Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan and other conflict zones. (CNS photo/Anian Christoph Wimmer)

From CatholicPhilly.com:

BEUERBERG, Germany (CNS) — Cold winter light is streaming through the ancient windows of Beuerberg Abbey. It plays on the wood of the empty choir stalls, shimmers on the bronze hand bell of the prioress. Everything is quiet and ready for the next prayer.

But this bell will likely never again break the silence of these walls. The last nuns of Beuerberg have left. The monastery, founded in 1121, today stands empty in the snowy landscape of the Alpine foothills.

[….]

Sister Lioba and the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising have worked a deal to house refugees in the abbey. They hope that, within a few months, families from Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan and other conflict zones can find a home here.

[….]

Msgr. Peter Beer, archdiocesan vicar general, sees Beuerberg Abbey as a test case and model for the future use of the more than 100 monasteries across Upper Bavaria, a growing number of which are threatened by the drastic decline in vocations.

Record numbers of migrants and asylum seekers are pouring into Europe, and most of them are headed to Germany. As the U.N. refugee agency reports, Germany has been — and continues to be — the recipient of the largest number of asylum applications, followed by France, Sweden, Italy and the United Kingdom.

For those of you who think, wow, this might be a great opportunity to evangelize and bring the migrants to Christ, forget it, most Christians working in the refugee humanitarian industrial complex are so steeped in the notion of cultural/religious relativism, they don’t dare try to convert anyone.

Think about where we are in history!  We are witnesses to the end of Europe as we have known it for centuries.

One last thing!  How long do you think that statue of the Madonna will last?

US Census: Immigrant population boom happening now

This is the headline from the UK Daily Mail yesterday.  You may have already seen it:

White US children will be minorities by 2020 after immigrant ‘baby boom’, Census reveals

In the infographic linked below, the author of Diversity Explosion tells of all the warm and wonderful things that will come to America as diversity expands and blossoms—one of those wonderful new frontiers will happen with governance as the immigrants, we are told, will mostly register as Democratic voters!

Here are the first few paragraphs:

White children will be outnumbered by minority kids in the United States in just five years, new Census Bureau projections reveal.

This is the result of an ongoing trend of declining birth among white Americans and a baby boom among immigrant groups, as well as a surge in immigration.

By the year 2020, 50.2 percent of all children in the US are expected to be non-white, according to the Census. By 2044, whites will be outnumbered by minorities.

The Census study, released this week, predicts that by year 2060, nearly 20 percent of the population will be foreign born – thanks to an influx of 64million new immigrants.

The “seedlings” are sprouting at a rapid rate!  We are being replaced and Obama is one step ahead of us.

Read it all and see the graphs.  Be sure to click on the cute little infographic by Brookings where we are told in gleeful tones that the immigrants will vote Democratic (so as to get their government goodies?)!  See the book, here.

Minnesota refugee resettlement contractor: 77,000 Somalis in the state right now!

Big question is:  Do these Christian resettlement contractors ever demand to resettle the persecuted Christians/religious minorities being persecuted around the world?

Arrive Ministries (formerly World Relief of Minnesota) one of three agencies responsible for the large population of Somalis in the State (see 10,000 resettled there in last 10 years, here) reports that the State has approximately 77,000 now.

Robert Oehrig, Executive Director of Arrive Ministries.

See one of our top posts of all time—Why so many Somalis in Minneapolis?  They were resettled there because of the generous welfare Minnesota offered!

Arrive Ministries (“a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to the cause of the refugee and immigrant”) also tells us that Somalis believe their troubles in Somalia began because they weren’t following Allah correctly, now they are having a “revival of religious observance” in Minnesota (scary thought!).

From Arrive Ministries (hat tip: Deb):

From that time [the time of clan violence and civil war in Somalia—ed] to the present, Somalis have fled the country and many have lived in refugee camps in Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania. Many Somalis were resettled in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. Currently, Minnesota has the largest number of Somali’s in the U.S, estimated to be around 77,000 or more. Why here? Somalis originally came to Minnesota because of the good economy and low unemployment. More recently they have come because there is a recognized community here — Somali shops, businesses and restaurants.

No discussion of the Somali people would be complete without discussing their religion, which is Islam. To be a Somali, is to be Muslim. With the war and displacement, many Somali’s have seen their difficulties as a judgment of God (Allah), for not correctly practicing their religion. In response to this, there has been a revival of religious observance.

According to a recent Form 990 for Arrive Ministries, the organization received $1.5 million (rounded number) with $1.1 million coming from government grants (from taxpayers) as a subcontractor to one of the top nine federal resettlement contractors, World Relief (Evangelicals).

Why can’t they see what they are doing?

About the photo, and a question for Bob:   The photo is from his facebook page (unless there is another Bob connected to Arrive Ministries!) where just a few weeks ago he said this:

I stand with my Christian brothers and sisters and all Shias, Yazidis and all peace loving people who find ISIL and militant Islam abhorant.

And this:

The truth of the matters is that the Islamic State is Islamic. Extremely Islamic with the aim to usher in the apocalypse. As is pointed out in this well written article, ISIS has revived traditions and practices that have been dormant for centuries including crucifixions and beheadings which are viewed as sacred requirements and a prelude to the culmination of the last battle and the coming of Messiah. [followed by this article—What ISIS really wants.]

Why can’t Bob see what he and others are doing to Minnesota with the resettlement of tens of thousands of Somalis who are “reviving” their Islamic religion with some returning to Africa and the Middle East to join ISIS and Al-Shabaab.

Talk is cheap!  It is easy to talk about the evils of ISIS, but do these ‘Christian’ organizations ever stand up and say to the UN/US State Department, please bring us only persecuted Christians, Jews and other minorities?  Or is it all about $$$?  (They won’t get any refugees/tax payer money if they don’t take Muslims.)
