White House coordinating search for locations around the country (for the “children”)

The invasion of America…..

According to Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller, Obama’s White House staff is helping FEMA find “suitable” locations to warehouse the mostly teenaged (unaccompanied minor) boys until they can supposedly be screened and then released into America (they didn’t say the last part, I did).

I know I said last night that we were going to get in some other posts on other “refugees” today, but this story was too interesting to ignore.

Your local lawmakers have been approached by the White House, so be sure to ask them what they know!

The Daily Caller (emphasis is mine):

Desperate to figure out what to do with thousands of illegal immigrants that have been apprehended at the U.S. border, the federal government has created an email address to gather leads on facilities that could be used to house them.

The plea, contained in an email sent by Tara Corrigan of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and obtained by Los Angeles’s KFI News, also provides insight into how the Obama administration is helping coordinate the massive surge of illegal immigrants, which it calls an “unprecedented event.”

“Given that one of the challenges [the Department of Health and Human Services] HHS is facing is finding suitable facilities for unaccompanied children, I wanted to forward this e-mail from [Federal Emergency Management Agency] FEMA below to see if you all have folks in your networks that know of suitable facilities in your area,” reads Corrigan’s email, which she sent to local lawmakers on July 3.

Here are the criteria.  Do you have such a building in your town?

They must be within 50 miles of a major city — defined as having a population of more than 200,000 — and be near an airport.

The facilities must also be at least 90,000 square feet in size, with each resident requiring at least 80 square feet of space.

It has to be leasable and “move-in ready.” Ideal building types include empty office areas, box stores, warehouses, shopping malls, aircraft hangers, hotels and dorms.

The FEMA email also lists such amenities as showers, toilets, kitchen and cafeteria space, recreational space and educational facilities as preferable but not required. “Climate-controlled” facilities are also preferred, but not required.

So, again, check with your local lawmakers to see if they have identified buildings for the feds and be sure to call your state refugee coordinator and ask what they know about locations in your state.

Refugee contractors have organized campaign to get more tax dollars due to border invasion; Tennessee this time

Here is one more in a spate of stories ginned-up by the federal refugee contractors*** and their 350 subcontractors to bring media attention to their supposed plight.  Waahhhh! We are going to lose funding because of the flood of illegal alien teens (unaccompanied minors) now being treated as asylum-seekers by the Obama Administration (which by the way, the contractors helped encourage to come to America!).

Our solution as I said here yesterday:

Not enough money, stop bringing refugees into the US this year (and next year too).

These people remind me of animal hoarders with a psychological ailment who fill their homes with cats, don’t have the finances to care for them properly, and don’t know when to stop!

From The Tennessean (hat tip: Joanne).  LOL! You can always count on The Tennessean to help Catholic Charities whine!  Emphasis below is mine:

A surge in children illegally crossing the southwestern U.S. border in recent months may soon have an unexpected impact on refugees living in Nashville.

Last week, President Barack Obama asked Congress for more than $2 billion in emergency funds to help address a growing crisis along the Rio Grande, where more than 52,000 children traveling alone and 40,000 women with children have been apprehended illegally crossing the border since October.

[….]

Holly Johnson, Catholic Charities of Tennessee, decides which ethnic groups and how many refugees will come to the state. The state has no say in the matter. http://www.cctenn.org/node/531

The president’s solution would involve redirecting funding already budgeted for refugee programs across the country. Tennessee stands to lose more than $1.6 million of its annual $11 million budget. The cuts would hit programs designed to serve elderly refugees, children in schools and preventive health care for refugees, according to Holly Johnson, state refugee coordinator for the Tennessee Office of Refugees.

The president’s proposal puts refugee advocates in an uncomfortable position, pitting the needs of the population they serve against those of the newly arrived children…. [Too bad! Maybe the Catholic priests and lobbyists who went to Central America late last year shouldn’t have encouraged the migrants to start moving north!—ed]

[….]

Tennessee accepted more than 1,600 refugees in the last fiscal year. Most of the refugees arriving in Tennessee come from Iraq, Burma, Bhutan, Somalia and Iran. Refugees, by definition, have fled or been forced to leave their countries to escape violence, persecution or natural disaster.

Definition of a Refugee

Tick me off!  Note how reporters just parrot what the contractors tell them about the definition of a refugee.  This has been going on for years—the open borders lobby re-defining “refugee” until it means anything they want, including kids who supposedly are fleeing gang violence.

Here is the definition of a refugee as updated in 1967 (from the original 1951 UN Convention):

“A person who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it..”[8]

Do you see anything in there about wars, violence or natural disasters?   Refugees and asylum seekers are supposed to be able to prove they are being persecuted!  Economic migrants and people who claim they are fleeing crime are not refugees!

See, US Catholic Bishops call the illegal aliens, refugees, here.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson found CA demonstrations against illegal alien buses “very disturbing”

But, the feds are still (more secretively) sending them into California.

Reuters has the story (hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’):

I wonder what it will feel like to go down in history, along with his boss, among America’s greatest traitors. Photo: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10521977/Senate-confirm-Jeh-Johnson-as-head-of-US-Homeland-Security.html

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, in an interview with MSNBC, said he found television images of that demonstration “very disturbing” to watch.

I found the section of the article entitled, ‘Send Washington a bill’ most provocative.  The citizens of Murietta, CA continued their protest at a meeting last evening.

I have this wonderful image of instead of sending Washington a bill, how about sending Washington, DC the tens of thousands of illegal alien “refugee” teenagers—I would be along the route cheering the buses onward to the White House! (By the way, where does Jeh Johnson live?)

Here is more of what Reuters reported.

‘SEND WASHINGTON A BILL’   [Heck! Send Washington the illegal aliens!—ed]

Immigration officials said most of the families headed for California were likely to be released under limited supervision to await deportation. [What a joke! They will never be deported!—ed] Many would to be placed with relatives or friends or in temporary housing provided by charity groups [Charity groups which you are paying with your tax dollars—ed].

On Wednesday, border protection officials confirmed that a separate group of undocumented migrant families with children were sent to a processing center in El Centro, California, a desert community about 100 miles (160 km) east of San Diego.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency spokeswoman Virginia Kice said authorities were being especially careful to avoid disclosing the whereabouts of the detainees “so that mobs can’t go down and root out those people”.

At the town hall meeting in Murrieta, Mayor Alan Long told the angry throng that he had been advised by U.S. officials to expect another group of about 140 immigrants every three days for several weeks.

He blamed federal officials for the influx, saying that he intended to “send Washington a big fat bill” for expenses.

Residents filled the meeting hall to capacity and spilled out into a parking lot, carrying signs with slogans like “Illegals today, Jihadists with Nukes tomorrow!!”.

OK Congressman denied access to Ft. Sill where 1,200 unaccompanied minors are being held

From 100percentfedtup  (hat tip: Cathy):

Congressman Bridenstine said, “There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held. Any Member of Congress should have the legal authority to visit a federal youth detention facility without waiting three weeks.”

Congressman’s entry blocked. Who is paying the security guards?

The Health and Human Services (HHS) official who appears to be in charge of the facility, told Congressman Bridenstine he could schedule an appointment for July 21. HHS Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs, Ken Wolfe, would not take the Congressman’s phone call. The Congressman was told to send Mr. Wolfe an email as that was the preferred method of communication. Congressman Bridenstine’s email to Mr. Wolfe included this press release.

“After my visit today with the base commander, I approached the barracks where the children are housed. A new fence has been erected by HHS, completely surrounding the barracks and covered with material to totally obscure the view. Every gate is chained closed.

Homeland Security Infographic on processing into America the illegal alien “children”

Isn’t this great, the Dept. of Homeland Securty has a handy little “infographic” to help you understand the steps  involved in taking care of the “children” (3/4 are teenaged boys) coming across the US Southern border by the thousands.   You pay for all of this and there is no mention here about sending any home.

The asylum courts are so clogged that they will be fully grown men before they get a court date (step 5), if they ever get one.

We are going to have a lot of posts in the coming days about whether your town or city will be involved in Step 3 below.

By the way, here is a link to ORR’s state refugee coordinators.  Call yours and see if you will be “welcoming” the “children” where you live!

For new readers, see all of our posts (going back several years) on “unaccompanied minors” by clicking here.  See especially Don Barnett’s prescient report of ten years ago.  It took a President like Obama to take a Bush do-gooder policy and turn it into an invitation to invade America.
