How many Muslims living in the US could justify “violence against civilians” in defense of Islam?

Once again Obama put down Europe this week—says Europe hasn’t warmly embraced its Muslims like we have!

This past week as the theme coming out of Washington was—hug a Muslim—there were many press accounts saying that the US was somehow different from Europe in that our Muslims are more “integrated” into society than those young violent ones in Europe.  Ours also have more stuff according to Obama.

In our view, the only difference is that in Europe there are more of them!

When we have a higher percentage here in the US, the Muslim population will be emboldened and along with higher numbers will come more demands from the Muslim ‘community’ for America to accept precepts of shariah law.

The numbers!

One important statistic being misused by the mainstream media and highlighted in an article from the Associated Press by Josh Lederman is drawn from this 2011 Pew report.

First, before we get to the news, put these numbers in your head:  By 2011, Pew Research estimates that the US population of Muslims stands at 2.75 million.  Pew’s numbers are now nearly 4 years old so I believe the population is higher.  It must be! because Pew says 100,000 legal immigrant Muslims enter the US each year.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) puts the number at 6-7 million (also a few years old).

From the Associated Press at Eyewitness News 3:

Ample evidence suggests that Muslims in America do feel more integrated into society than those living in Europe. Often marginalized and relegated to poorer neighborhoods in European cities, many Muslim immigrants to the U.S. have flourished as doctors and scientists and in other white-collar professions. Middle-class, predominantly Muslim or Arab-American enclaves have cropped up in places such as Dearborn, Michigan, and Minneapolis, allowing immigrants to carve out their own stories.  [So sick of this story c***!—we have stories too!—ed]

“That’s the story extremists and terrorists don’t want the world to know: Muslims succeeding and thriving in America,” Obama said during separate remarks at the summit Wednesday.

Now this is how Obama and the media use numbers in deceptive ways. AP continues with its editorial piece disguised as news:

There’s also reason to believe that sense of successful assimilation has offered a degree of protection against the allure of extremism. In 2011, a Pew Research Center survey of American Muslims found that just 2 in 10 Muslims in the U.S. thought there was a great deal or a fair amount of support for extremism among Muslim Americans. Roughly 80 percent said suicide bombings and other violence against civilians was never justified to defend Islam from its enemies, compared to just 8 percent who said it was sometimes or often justified. [Doesn’t sound bad, right?—ed]

By the way there is another 5% who say “rarely” justified.  (See the full report, here)

O.K. now look at it this way!

If 8% of the US Muslim population believes that VIOLENCE AGAINST CIVILIANS IS JUSTIFIED (often or sometimes) TO DEFEND ISLAM, then:

Using a low of 2 million Muslims in America and a high of 7 million, that means that 160,000 Muslims in the US could justify violence against civilians to defend Islam at the low end, to 560,000 at the high end!

Sounds like a ticking time bomb to me!

Gitmo detainees sent to Uruguay as refugees don’t want to work!

We told you about how the former prisoners were presto-chango turned into refugees by the US State Department, here, in December.

This news could not come at a more opportune time (for a little chuckle), just as State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf tells us that jihadists or wannabe jihadists just need a job and some upward mobility.

Too busy to work? One of the detainees (aka refugees) was recently in Argentina lobbying for the country to take some of his Gitmo pals who are still being held by the US government.

That is what Uruguay has offered and now we hear that the “refugees” have rejected their offer of work, a roof over their heads and cultural and language lessons as not being enough!

President Mujica says of them—these are not gritty, hardworking immigrants like the earlier ones who came to Uruguay.  If they were humble people of the desert they would be stronger!

From the Associated Press at Epoch Times (hat tip: Robin):

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay—Controversy is flaring over the six Guantanamo detainees taken in by Uruguay for resettlement, with even the man who pushed through the plan, President Jose Mujica, seeming to criticize them for lacking a work ethic.

The men were locked up for more than a dozen years at the U.S. Navy base in Cuba before they were brought to Montevideo in December. Mujica agreed to accept them as a humanitarian gesture and said they would be given help getting established in a country of 3.3 million people with a total Muslim population of perhaps 300.

The government has offered them a residential facility to study Spanish, learn about Uruguayan culture and integrate to their new home.

But Syrian refugee Abu Wa’el Dhiab recently complained that the men have “walked out of a prison to enter another one.”

In a TV interview, Dhiab expressed thanks to Uruguay, but said it needs a plan for helping the ex-detainees, who need “their families, a home, a job and some sort of income that allows them to build a future.”

A labor union that has been helping the men says, however, that they have turned down job offers.

Mujica recently visited the home where five of the six men are staying and asked them to start working. After his visit, the president said on his radio program that the former detainees are far from the ancestors of Uruguayans, who he said were gritty, hard-working immigrants.

“If these people were humble people of the desert, poor people, they’d surely be stronger and more primitive, but they’re not,” Mujica said of the former prisoners. “Through their hands, features and family histories, it seems to me that they’re middle class.”

We have a little archive growing on Uruguay here and just this morning created a new category—South America—for increasing refugee news from there.

Obama’s ‘Countering Violent Extremism’ summit opened yesterday and is on-going today

It was at the opening yesterday that VP Joe Biden told about his Somali pals driving cabs in his hometown.   Here is what the Voice of America reported yesterday.

If you are on twitter, go to #CVESummit today to follow the latest news.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was brilliant at the Defeat Jihad Summit hosted by the Center for Security Policy. http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2015/02/17/newt-gingrich-is-right-obama-is-hopeless-on-the-global-jihad-threat/

Last week the Center for Security Policy held its own summit (Defeat Jihad Summit) and reported in advance on the three cities the Obama Administration is showcasing—Boston, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles.

For readers of RRW, don’t fall off your chairs laughing that Minneapolis will be featured as a success story for the O-man at the CVE Summit.

Don’t miss a stunning report at the Washington Times about what is happening in Boston hometown of the notorious political refugees the Tsarnaev Boston bombers.

This is a report from the Center for Security Policy about their event last week:

On Wednesday February 11th, the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C. hosted the first ever “Defeat Jihad Summit” with leaders represented from across the world discussing the threat of Islamic Jihadis and how to build a strategy for victory.  This has never been done since the jihadis in Iran declared war against us in 1979.

Participating in this event were Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Senator Ted Cruz, Representative Steven King, Representative Mike Pompeo (Kansas), Representative Scott Perry (Pennsylvania), Admiral James “Ace” Lyons (U.S. Navy, Ret.), Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin (U.S. Army, Ret.), former Representative Pete Hoekstra, Leading 9/11 family member Deborah Burlingame, Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders, Danish free speech advocate Lars Hedegaard, Britain’s Lord Malcolm Pearson, Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, Claremont President Brian Kennedy, former Muslim Nonie Darwish, Muslim reformer Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, Australian pastor Mark Durie, Andrew McCarthy (author and former Chief CT Prosecutor, NY), the Honorable Joseph Schmitz (Inspector General, Department of Defense, Bush Administration), Judge Jeanine Pirro, human rights attorney Deborah Weiss, author/journalist Diana West, Dr. Charles Jacobs (Executive Director, Americans for Peace and Tolerance), national security expert and CSP Fellow J. Michael Waller, CSP Fellow and strategic analyst Major Stephen Coughlin (US Army, reserves), Rabbi Jonathan Hausman, retired CIA case officer Clare Lopez, and leadership of the Center for Security Policy.

Understanding the Threat Founder John Guandolo participated in this program as well.

The focus of the program was to clearly identify the enemy the United States and the West is facing, and begin a discussion on building long-term solutions to defeating the Islamic Movement in all its forms.  The focus is total victory.

In summation, the threat we face is a global Islamic Movement whose doctrine is Sharia (Islamic Law).  Now subverting governments worldwide, conquering nations/regions across the globe, and barbarically killing hundreds of thousands of human beings on several continents, this massive threat continues to be minimized and given little attention by the current U.S. administration.

See our previous post this morning about how the media is beginning to understand the threat of Muslim refugees coming to a town near you.

The Washington media begins to get it! Syrian refugees pose threat to national security

I laughed this morning when I saw last week’s news—that those in charge of national security have discovered an important chink in our “humanitarian” refugee program as it relates to Syrians (and frankly Iraqis and Somalis as well!)—how do you screen someone who has no paper trail?

And, how do you keep them from being radicalized once we let them in?

This story (from last week) is this morning’s headline story under the banner (Obama letting ISIS in?) at Drudge.

(ABC News) US Officials Admit Concern Over Syrian Refugee Effort.

Readers: Consider yourselves more educated on this national security issue than most of Washington!

For any new readers in the national media—be sure to see the State Department obfuscating here and know that Syrian refugees are already arriving!

Here is news from just a few days ago where Syrians are arriving in the home state of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and 2016 Presidential contender Senator Rand Paul.

Senator Jeff Sessions releases timeline of Obama’s lawless actions on immigration

Thanks to Henry for sending this Breitbart News story.  The lawlessness by the Administration was something we were trying to get across to viewers of Fox & Friends last week.  And, certainly you have seen the news that a federal judge has halted (for now) Obama’s Executive Amnesty.

Want to see the Presidential electoral landscape blow up—urge Senator Sessions to put his hat in the ring for 2016. This immigration issue is the animating issue for real conservatives in America. It touches us all from jobs to the economy to national security!

Breitbart News on the Senator’s 50-page time line of lawless acts by the Administration:

As Republicans work to overcome a Democratic filibuster of a House-passed Department of Homeland Security bill that blocks President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is highlighting the Obama administration’s long history of dismantling immigration laws.

In a lengthy timeline released Monday, Sessions — the chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest — lists every instance of the Obama administration ignoring, rewriting, delaying and breaking the nation’s immigration laws.

The timeline begins in January 2009 with the administration ending worksite enforcement actions and, 50 pages later, ends on February 13, 2015 with the House Judiciary Committee’s revelation that the administration included a “sneaky” avenue for illegal immigrants granted deferred status to be placed on a pathway to citizenship.

Here is the section of the report we were attempting to explain on Fox:

September 30, 2014: Obama Administration Circumvents Congress and Creates New Central American In-Country Refugee Program

The State Department announces that parents who are “lawfully present” in the U.S. who have children living in El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras may request their child’s admission into the U.S. as a refugee—despite a lack of explanation as to how those children may constitute “refugees” as defined in the INA. Even when a child is not eligible for entry under the refugee program, they can still be considered for entry under a case-by-case parole program. Section 101 of the INA defines a refugee as a person “who has a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” Courts have held that persecution requires government action, and that general violence or poverty does not meet the requirements for refugee or asylee status. Parole, commonly referred to as “humanitarian parole,” is authorized by Section 212 of the INA. The statute grants the Executive Branch discretion to “parole into the United States temporarily under such conditions as [it] may prescribe only on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.” While the administration acknowledges in its release that parole, by definition, is temporary in nature, it says aliens granted parole from Central America would be allowed into the U.S. in two-year increments and allowed to renew their parole, apparently indefinitely. It is later revealed that those granted deferred action, deferred enforced departure, and withhold of removal, will be eligible to participate. In effect, the program will allow “illegals in the United States to bring their children, their adult children, their grandchildren, and even step-parents into the United States.”

Just as Congress (Kennedy and Biden) wrote the original refugee law, so must Congress re-write it!
