Malta ‘invasion of Europe’ news: More die crossing Mediterranean, UN says EU must rescue them

But, how about using the Australian model (which is saving lives) and turning the boats back to Libya and other launching points in North Africa?  It is the only option to save Europe!

Our correspondent in Malta is reporting that this latest wave of migrants is (according to Italian press) being herded on to boats in failed states (Libya! Thanks Hillary!) without even having to pay traffickers.  In other words, it is a deliberate plan to push invaders to Europe, something ISIS is promising to do!

With a new and large-scale boat tragedy reported on the Mediterranean, UNHCR has appealed afresh to governments across the region to prioritize the saving of lives, including by urgently expanding and upgrading search and rescue capacities.

The latest incident involves the capsizing of a double-deck boat on Monday in waters about 120 kilometres south of Lampedusa. 142 people were rescued and eight bodies recovered.

But some 400 others said by survivors to have been aboard are feared lost.

“I was deeply shocked when hearing the news that another boat, an overcrowded boat capsized in the Mediterranean and where four hundred people died. This only demonstrates how important it is to have a robust rescue-at-sea mechanism in the central Mediterranean,” UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres said.

So far in 2015, some 31,500 people are known to have made crossings to Italy and Greece – the first and second largest countries of arrival respectively. And numbers have recently been picking up further. According to the Italian Coast Guard more than 8,500 people have been rescued from several dozen boats and rubber dinghies since 10 April. If the 400 deaths are confirmed from the latest incident the death toll so far this year will have reached 900.

Amnesty International said that all indications point to a continued rise in the number of migrants and refugees making this trip as the weather improves, violence and persecution continue in countries like Syria and Eritrea, and instability persists in Libya, the launching point for the majority of the people-smuggling voyages across the Mediterranean.

Editor’s note:  Since we have been so focused on the ruckus going on in the US with resettlement, especially as Rep. Trey Gowdy does the first brave thing  (out of Congress) that we have ever seen in our nearly eight year project to shed light on the US Refugee Admissions Program, we have been forgetting our readers around the world.

Below is an update from Australia thanks to ‘FatherJon’ where the Abbott government is one of the few in the world discouraging the illegal aliens (phony asylum seekers) from trying to break into their country.

Ann, the boats have stopped, due to the efforts of our Abbott Federal government. If they don’t get a lot right they’ve certainly got the boat problem solved.

Problem is that under the previous Labor governments a backload of foreign kids built up to several thousands, as families thought that this was a better ruse than just sending teenage ‘Ali’ out as a forward scout. A government can get tough with a young shaver and refuse him landing rights, but they can’t do that with a family which includes young kids, right? Wrong! Kids were locked up with their families, firstly on the mainland, then on off-shore detention centres, then in neighbouring countries that welcomed the cash injection as we off-set our detention costs at home by giving hand-outs to Papua New Guines, Nauru and Cambodia to look after the illegals.

However the human rights lawyers attacked that on all fronts, claiming it was doubly inhumane to lock up children, and the gradual push was to get as many kids on the mainland to be given temporary protection visas. This allowed them to go to school and lead lives outside internment. There are now a little over 100 kids left, who have yet to be placed due to initiatives of the present government.

The Abbott government is now negotiating with Iran to take back its own nationals, who comprise roughly 80% of the detainees, but it’s proving a tough nut to crack as Iran just says ‘we can’t take back our own if they didn’t want to be here in the first place’. Our Foreign Minister is in Iran as I write trying to work out a deal about sending them back.

More ‘Invasion of Europe’ news…..

This is yet one more story about the invasion of Europe and how the continent is bracing for the next onslaught of migrants from North Africa as spring advances, but near the end of the Breitbart piece the answer to the dilemma is clear to all who are willing to see it—the invaders must be blocked as Australia is demonstrating!

It is “relatively easy” for jihadists to gain access to the European Union by coming with an influx of refugees, the head of the European Union’s counter-terrorism group has warned.

Although jihadists have to this point seemed to find no difficulty in slipping between Europe and the Islamic State by way of porous eastern borders and Turkey, the enormous volume of humans crossing the Mediterranean every week, and EU-funded efforts to help them, appears to be offering another route of ingress. Counter-terror chief Gilles de Kerchove said: “We must be vigilant. It is relatively easy to enter into the European Union when one joins an influx of refugees”, reports TheLocal.at.

Australia is proving it can be done (a nation can save itself)!

Terrorists entering a nation posing as innocent refugees and applying for asylum is a problem with which Australia has grappled, and solved. A terrorist arrested in February for conspiracy to commit murder by stabbing blonde people in the kidneys with hunting knives arrived in the country by boat using a false passport during the Labor-party era of open borders. The new policy of using the Royal Australian Navy to turn migrant boats away has sent such an effective message to would-be travellers only one boat attempted the journey in the whole of 2014.

With migration across the Mediterranean surging, the European Union’s largest border operation is bracing for a record year of arrivals by sea, especially as summer brings calm waters between Italy and Libya.

Off the eastern coast of Sicily, the 18-member crew of the Icelandic coast guard vessel Tyr – named after a Nordic god of war – are conducting rescue drills in seas more familiar in Greek mythology, preparing for the worst.

Though the United Nations refugee agency has criticised the mission, known as Triton, because its mandate is not search and rescue but border control with patrols near the Italian coast, the EU border agency Frontex says it is saving lives.

“We participate in a lot of search and rescue operations that take place far from the Italian shore, usually about 40 nautical miles north of Libya,” Frontex spokeswoman Ewa Moncure told Reuters on the bridge of the Tyr yesterday.

About 170,000 entered the EU through Italy last year by way of the dangerous sea crossing organised by human traffickers, mostly in Libya, while more than 3,000 perished.

During the first two months of this year, arrivals were up 43 per cent versus the same period of 2014.

The governments of southern EU countries – including Italy, Malta, Greece and Spain – have repeatedly criticised the failure of the 28-nation bloc to devote more attention and resources to the growing immigration crisis. To increase solidarity, the European Commission has said it will present a “migration agenda” in May, when good weather is expected to boost the flow of migrants and refugees, many of whom are fleeing civil war in Syria or forced military conscription in Eritrea.

This might be a good time to read The Camp of the Saints as the 4-decades-old novel is now coming true.  Author Raspail was only wrong on his prediction of where the invaders would launch from.

Greece threatens EU: will unleash detained migrants and jihadists on Europe…

….if the EU and the International Monetery Fund leave Greece hanging!

This would be very interesting to see.  The ‘Invasion of Europe’ would surely be on steroids if the Greeks follow through with the threat!

Kammenos, the Greek defence minister: We will send thousands of migrants and jihadists to Berlin!

 

Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and Malta are all on the frontiers of the European Union and experiencing the brunt of the invasion by mostly economic migrants from the Middle East and Africa.  Their economies can only stand so much!

Greece will unleash a “wave of millions of economic migrants” and jihadists on Europe unless the eurozone backs down on austerity demands, the country’s defence and foreign ministers have threatened.

The threat comes as Greece struggles to convince the eurozone and International Monetery Fund to continue payments on a £172billion bailout of Greek finances.

Without the funding, Greece will go bust later this month forcing the recession-ravaged and highly indebted country out of the EU’s single currency.

Greece’s border with Turkey is the EU’s frontline against illegal immigration and European measures to stop extremists travelling to and from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) bases in Syria and Iraq.

Panos Kammenos, the Greek defence minister, warned that if the eurozone allowed Greece to go bust it would give EU travel papers to illegal immigrants crossing its borders or to the 10,000 currently held in detention centres.

“If they deal a blow to Greece, then they should know the the migrants will get papers to go to Berlin,” he said.

Why not!  Germany loves its mostly Muslim ‘refugees.’
