Welcoming Communities Campaign announced by White House, government goodies for your "welcoming" town

I missed this White House news last month, so thanks to reader Greg for sending it. And, note to Miranda Blue, here, who seems to think I am making this all up—-that Obama is diversifying your towns and cities and using government goodies to do it!

This is about changing America by changing the people!

Lubell’s Welcoming America began first in Tennessee as Welcoming Tennessee and with the help of seed money from George Soros expanded to become a national organization and a federal contractor (they get $$$ from the Office of Refugee Resettlement). They ‘community organize’ to push back where ‘Pockets of Resistance’ form.

The White House today launched the Building Welcoming Communities Campaign, accelerating the growing movement of communities that are becoming more prosperous by embracing immigrants and fostering opportunity for all. Launched during National Welcoming Week, the Campaign is part of a broader package of announcements made by the White House Task Force on New Americans.

Already, 40 early acceptor US cities and counties have already signed on to the campaign, from Pittsburgh to Boise, Atlanta to Detroit. The groups include cities and counties big and small from across the country.

The campaign will help better connect federal resources with local communities in order to expand immigrant integration efforts. It calls on local communities to commit to and act on a set of principles that focus on building inclusive communities that enable all residents to thrive, while advancing immigrant civic, linguistic and economic integration.

Said Welcoming America Executive Director David Lubell, “Communities across the country are already recognizing that they gain an economic edge and invigorate their communities when they create environments where everyone can participate and thrive. We applaud the White House and the New Americans Taskforce for this major boost to the movement of Welcoming communities during National Welcoming Week, and look forward to supporting the federal taskforce and communities in this effort because we know it will help jumpstart economic growth and vitality.”

In November 2014, President Obama created the White House Task Force on New Americans which in April released a federal strategic action plan, Strengthening Communities by Welcoming All Residents: A Federal Strategic Action Plan on Immigrant & Refugee Integration. The Building Welcoming Communities Campaign is a key element of this action plan and the federal government’s strategy to support immigrant integration. As part of this campaign, federal agencies will be leveraging their resources in support of communities to help foster greater civic, economic and linguistic participation. [“Leveraging resources” is code for giving your tax dollars to local governments who toe-the-line on diversifying your town—ed]

Participating communities will also demonstrate their progress along a Welcoming Communities Roadmap, and depending on their level of commitment, will be assisted through a public private partnership which will offer technical assistance and support from federal agencies, as well as from national non-governmental partners led by Welcoming America. The initial national partners for the campaign include National Skills Coalition, NALEO, Cisneros Center for New Americans, World Education Services – Global Talent Bridge, IMPRINT, Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, Partnership for a New American Economy, World Education, YMCA of the USA, NCLR, and the National Partnership for New Americans.

It’s been almost exactly two years since I first heard that the Office of Refugee Resettlement in the Dept. of Health and Human Services had hired a community organizing contractor (with your money!) to tamp down any “pockets of resistance” to the seeding of immigrants (legal and illegal) in your towns and cities.

The ORR spokesman at the meeting in Lancaster, PA actually used the phrase “pockets of resistance” to describe any of you questioning what Washington was doing to your community.

Wanted! Bloggers to track and report on what David Lubell is doing! He is the founder and head honcho at Welcoming America. Obama honored him in Nashville last year. Since then of course we have learned that the whole seeding idea is part of Obama’s New Americans initiative.

Everywhere I go, people ask, what can I do? What can I do? This is what you can do—become an investigative blogger! Or, a regular letter-to-the-editor writer, a facebook page editor (not just yak about personal stuff), tweet on a specific subject.

We must do the work old fashioned investigative reporters used to do. And, we have to get our research out beyond our own circle of like-minded people.

Clarkston, Georgia has signed up!

Yesterday, I gave you the latest ‘diversity is strength’ alert from Nashville, TN (Muslim immigrants busted for selling drugs from convenience stores), and I mentioned “Welcoming America” again which is the spawn of David Lubell* and “Welcoming Tennessee.”

Clarkston, GA!

Also, their top story was one we missed from earlier in the month—Clarkston, GA, an overloaded refugee resettlement city, has become their 29th “Welcoming City,” this at the same time that the Governor has persuaded the feds to stop sending refugees there.

It is amazing to me how ballsy propagandists are, the average person would have no idea of the problems that Atlanta and its suburbs have experienced as the refugee and immigrant population explodes. To read this one would think everything is just, well, beautiful.

“Welcoming America” is a federal contractor of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (Health and Human Services) so this is being done with your tax dollars.

Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry signs Welcoming resolution for the city.

On March 4th, 2014, Mayor Ted Terry and members of the Clarkston City Council passed a Welcoming Resolution, committing the city to building a welcoming and neighborly community in which diverse residents, including immigrants, are welcome, accepted and integrated.

Through the resolution, the City also joins Welcoming Cities and Counties, an initiative of Welcoming America that supports locally-driven efforts to create more welcoming, immigrant-friendly environments that maximize opportunities for economic growth and cultural vitality and position communities as globally competitive, 21st century leaders. Welcoming America is a nonprofit organization based in Decatur, Georgia that works across the U.S. to create inclusive, immigrant-friendly communities that expand prosperity for all residents.

The resolution (full version available here) recognizes that a welcoming community is critical to economic success for all residents, and identifies that Clarkston is committed to “enhancing its cultural fabric, economic growth, global competitiveness and overall prosperity for all individuals in the current and future generations who choose to make their home in the city.”

Said Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry, “I’m gratified that this was a grassroots effort. The residents of our city got together and worked out the details – and our government has responded in full support of Clarkston becoming a truly Welcoming community. In light of recent events, over the criminalization of gays and lesbians, in Uganda – our city felt it was important to add language that codified ALL people are welcome in Clarkston, including gay, lesbian and transgendered folks. It is incumbent upon our government to provide opportunity for all residents of our city. And I am looking forward to working with Welcoming America on a framework for the future welcoming policies of Clarkston.”

“This is a wonderful affirmation that the diverse character of Clarkston is indeed one of its great strengths,” commented Emily Pelton of Refugee Family Services, a refugee resettlement agency that works in the Clarkston community.

Diversity is strength! Right Mr. Lubell?

Nashville, Tennessee is the premier Bible belt destination city for refugee and immigrant migration thanks to people like David Lubell and his old friends (Avi Poster and Tom Negri) at ‘Welcoming Tennessee.’

Regular readers know that Lubell used his ‘Welcoming Tennessee’ franchise to turn it into ‘Welcoming America’ and now gets a grant (in addition to funding from George Soros) from the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement to travel America and tell about Nashville’s successful immigrants. And, if you are a new reader, it is Catholic Charities that runs the entire refugee placement program in Tennessee.

We have a whole category on Nashville’s plight. Here is one important post about turning red states blue. Nashville has the fastest growing population of the foreign born of any city in America.

This is not the first time the Nashville police have had to crack down on Muslim store owners. I would be surprised to learn if this pair are refugees (asylees maybe), but the point is once your city is “welcoming” they will come.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police shut down and padlocked a business in Nashville on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into synthetic drug sales.

Metro Police said Rum Wholesale at 1305 Dickerson Pike was deemed a public nuisance for repeated distribution of synthetic opiates.

The owner, 40-year-old Mohammed Amer,*** was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of counterfeit controlled substances with intent to sell. He will also be charged with felony tampering.

On March 17, three convenience stores in Nashville were shut down for allegedly selling liquid relaxation shots that contained mitragynine, a chemical specifically banned by Tennessee law because of its opiate characteristics.

At that time, the stores, which included Discount Tobacco & Beer on Robinson Road, Madison Discount Tobacco & Beer on N. Gallatin Pike, and Litton’s Corner Market on Gallatin Pike, were declared public nuisances and padlocked by order of the court.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Rum Wholesale was a supplier of the liquid shots. When they went to the business on March 17, they found an employee, 27-year-old Rabea Aldheleai, loading boxes of the illegal liquid shots into a BMW.

If you are wondering how it is that a liquor store is run by Muslims—it is a twofer. First they make a lot of money with schemes like this one and then there is the secondary benefit of potentially destroying the lives of infidels (encouraged in Islam).

Big immigrant-run food stamp fraud bust in Cleveland area

Welcome to Cleveland! While ‘Welcoming America’ is busy trying to persuade Cleveland that diversity is beautiful and that they need more of it, some of their diversity has figured out how to scam the US taxpayer out of $2 million!

First have a look at the news from La Prensa about how bringing more diversity to Cleveland will improve the economy:

Embracing a more proactive immigrant friendly vision for Cleveland, Global Cleveland partnered with MetroHealth Medical Center and Welcoming America to lay groundwork to transform the city. Nearly 250 guests attended the movie and post discussion at MetroHealth Medical Center on July 16, 2013.

And here we have David Lubell again out hocking that Shelbyville propaganda film! Lubell’s organization was recently hired by the Office of Refugee Resettlement to sell reluctant cities on the idea of “welcoming” refugees. La Prensa continues:

‘Welcoming America’ trying to sell Cleveland on increasing immigrant diversity to save itself from the same fate as Detroit!

“We often dismiss people with fear,” said David Lubell, executive director of Welcoming America, which is a critical mistake in the effort to transform the mindset of a community. Welcoming America is a national nonprofit organization working to improve immigrant integration by direct engagement through individual and group efforts to create local initiatives that facilitate cultural understanding and ease transitions.

Lubell said all communities are different; some have less distance to do and working with Global Cleveland and other partners Welcoming America will determine where the city stands to best address its needs. Lubell said there is intense competition brewing amongst cities to become the most immigrant friendly city in the United States and attract global talent.

Global talent! That is a good way to describe the major (many are Muslim or Middle Eastern) network of bright convenience store food stamp scammers! Cleveland is about to lose three of its most talented Arabs.

BROOK PARK, Ohio – Three Brook Park men have been indicted for defrauding the food stamp program out of $2 million at four Cleveland stores.

The United States Attorney’s Office of Northern Ohio said brothers Saed and Maher Wahdan, along with the help of Nidal Jaber, accepted food stamps for ineligible items like beer and cigarettes.

All three men have been indicted on counts of conspiracy to commit food stamp fraud, food stamp fraud and unlawful redemption of food stamps.

U.S. Attorney for Northern Ohio Steven Dettelbach said that attempts will be made to recover stolen money.

“The food stamp program has provided nutritious food to thousands of hungry families over the years,” he said. “We will continue to work to recover money stolen from the program and eradicate waste, fraud and abuse of government programs.”

Between January 2008 and March 2012, the three men attempted to commit more than $2 million in food-stamp fraud through four of their businesses that were held under different names to conceal Saed Wahdan’s prior food stamp convictions, authorities said. Those stores were One Stop Beverage, 5105 Franklin Blvd.; Bridge Deli and Beverage, 4700 Bridge Ave.; Franklin Beverage and Deli, 4719 Franklin Blvd., and Scott Food Mart, 951 Linn Drive.

The three men used their businesses to exchange customer food stamps for cash and other unauthorized items. They also bought food stamp cards from customers to use at other grocery locations to get inventory for their stores and for their personal use, according to the indictment.

The indictment seeks to forfeit the businesses run by the Wahdans.

As each year passes and our archive grows I still hold out hope that some real investigative reporter will dig into this story—how do all these immigrants acquire these Mom & Pop grocery stores and then go into the food stamp fraud racket? And, every time I hear the likes of Lubell say immigrants are entrepreneurs and open shops, I can’t help but think of these food stamp scammers.
