Waking up in Wausau? New Biden Refugee Resettlement Site Planned

Actually Wausau is not a new site altogether.  Way before my time of writing this blog, which I started in 2007, Wausau saw a huge influx of Hmong refugees in the wake of our disastrous war in Southeast Asia.

Some Hmong went on to do okay as ‘new Americans,’ others not so much, as I pointed out here in 2019 at my other blog ‘Frauds and Crooks.’

Wisconsin ‘New Americans’ Charged in Large Drug Bust

I suspect Wausau has seen refugees continue to arrive in recent years placed there by the nearest resettlement office, but we can no longer get the data as the US State Department has closed to the public most of the information they store at the Refugee Processing Center.

Apparently Wausau has run out of needy Americans for the Christians to love and care for!

However, now it appears Wausau is on the target list for a new resettlement agency there, this time with the Ethiopian Community Development Council as the lead government contractor. (There are nine major contractors!***)

Look people!  ARE YOU LISTENING?  (Yes, I am shouting.)

How many times in the last 13 to 14 years have I written about this—enough to make me feel insanity setting in!

WAKE THE H*** UP!

We are losing our country!

Do you know, the other day someone asked me about Wyoming and I wrote this post:

Note to Newbies! Read, Read, Read and Ask Questions!

In the post is a link to the present refugee resettlement sites.

Those are the sites where the contractors have subcontractor offices. I wrote the post on Tuesday and since then ONLY 16 readers have even bothered to open the link to see if their location is already an established resettlement site.

Those are the sites where very large numbers of additional refugees will be placed in the coming months as the Biden Administration seeks to find housing and social services for up to 125,000 refugees from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.  And, that does not include the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens pouring in.

By the way, in my experience, once a refugee office is open in your town it will also ‘serve’ as a magnet for illegal aliens and asylum seekers who will be looking for guidance on where to get their free stuff.

It is increasingly difficult for me to continue to repeat things I have been writing about for over a decade and wondering if anyone is listening.

At the end of the Obama Administration, the contractors were looking for approximately 40 new sites because they had worn out their welcome in some long-standing resettlement cities.

They thought Hillary would follow Obama to the White House and the numbers that were high under Obama would expand even further.  Trump created a hiatus for a few years, but we are now back to the big push to change America by changing the people.

As I said here about Winchester, Virginia in May, they are scrambling for new sites.

It Begins: Federal Contractors Out Scouring America for New Target Towns for Biden Refugees

I said it again on Friday when I wrote about Asheville, North Carolina, see here.

In September, Biden will be setting the cap for FY22 and it is expected to be 125,000 beginning on October 1, 2021.

They are bidding for bodies!

That is what one longtime refugee watcher calls it because the contractors are paid by the federal government (by you, the taxpayer) on a per head basis!

To accomplish Biden’s goal, the nine contractors are competing with each other and madly scrambling to find new fresh territory and get sub-offices open.

In fact, they must get their plans in to the US State Department ideally in August or early September—the rush is on and that is why stories like the one from Wausau I’m about to mention are popping up.

The reader who alerted me about Wausau sounded desperate to know what they could do to stop the planned site.

Let me be clear!  There is no lawsuit you can file, no national leader to help you (no Senators, no Congressmen), and no national immigration control group that will come and save you.

There is only one thing you can do and that is hard.

You must organize locally and make an enormous political noise  against the plan (while being called a racist and xenophobe).

Back in February I began a series of posts about organizing locally.

I never did finish the series because so few people were bothering to read it (and when people don’t read, I get lazy!).  I know that the mention of work sends people into hiding and I know it’s not being read even as it is linked on my homepage because I get data daily about what posts people are reading.

What do we do now? Fight Back Locally!

LOL!  I hope you are still reading, or did you quit when I said you had to get to work!

Here is the news from Wausau that inspired my rant today!

From WSAU:

Local Religious Leaders Looking to Bring Refugees to Wausau

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A group of Religious leaders in Wausau is hoping to help settle dozens of vetted and screened refugees in the region in the next few years.

Pastor Rebecca Voss must believe it is so much cooler to welcome poverty from across the world than to help poor neighbors right here at home.

After meeting with the group led by First United Methodist Church Pastor Rebecca Voss, the Ethiopian Community Development Council has selected Wausau to receive around 75 approved refugees from Africa and the Middle East. Voss says it started as an idea in a Bible Study group that grew over time. [Just think about that, some non-profit group largely funded by the feds and located in Virginia has “selected Wausau!”—ed]

“We really were studying Christian hospitality, what it means to welcome the stranger and how we can be a place of refuge, safety, and healing for those who have been through some pretty traumatic experiences,” said Voss. “They have no place to call home, but we can create a community of love and respect for one another.”

Tsehaye Teferra is the CEO of the Ethiopian Community Development Council and in 2012 was chosen as an Obama Champion of Change!  Naturally he didn’t like Trump!  https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2020/07/04/virginia-ethiopian-community-development-council-prez-speaks-out-against-trump-admin/

The group is working with the ECDC, one of nine nationally recognized resettlement agencies. Voss says the group met them at “the right time and the right place,” to get the idea moving forward through a series of meetings with Voss’ group and some local businesses.

“They met with community leaders in both the non-profit sector and business sector, and really it led to a diversity of people being in solid agreement that we need refugees probably more than they need us,” she said. “They are resilient, many of them have been through a lot of trauma, so they will need a lot of compassion as they get resettled. But, we do know that they will strengthen our community.”

How Christian of them to find cheap foreign laborers for local businesses.

Do they have meatpackers in Wausau, I wonder!

She adds that’s especially true since many refugees are hard workers who can help fill some of the jobs that have been sitting vacant as the region comes out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This next bit makes me laugh!  Yeh, yeh, volunteers will help, but guess what?  Volunteers quickly burn out and the burden of the refugees falls on the community at large, or they simply fall through the cracks while they build ethnic enclaves where crime grows.  I have seen it time and time again.

She went on to say that the group is not looking for any public money or support from the city. Each refugee would be paired up with a sponsorship group such as a Church, Bible Study group, book club, or anyone else with a desire to help out. They would provide some money upfront- around $2,000 or so- to get the refugees into a rental property with some light furnishings and furniture.

Then they would be expected to show them basics such as how to navigate the public transit system, use the library, get them set up with healthcare, get their children registered for school, and any other life skills they may need help with as they look to build a life in the region.

ECDC doesn’t pick Wausau’s refugees and neither does the city!  They are chosen mostly by the United Nations!  Those listed below are mostly Muslims.  The Burmese coming in large numbers to the US right now are Rohingya Muslims.

Voss adds that despite the name “Ethiopia” being in the name of the group they are working with, there would be people from other African countries brought to the area along with some from Burma, Afghanistan, and Iraq. That could also include interpreters who worked with the US military during the recent wars in both nations.

Does Wausau have a satellite office for CAIR yet?  If not, look for one getting established soon!

The first refugees could be settled by October of this year. Others will be placed throughout 2022.

Yup, that is what I said above—the drive is on to find ‘welcoming’ and naïve communities as fast as possible because they want to be ready by October first.

And, one more thing!

Once a site is chosen and the refugees begin to arrive it will be too late because the flow will never end as the contractors work to bring more members of the extended families of the first refugees they place in Wausau.

I hope you made it this far so that I won’t feel like I have wasted hours on a beautiful Sunday saying the same thing I have been saying for years!

*** Here for new readers are the nine government contractors that monopolize all refugee placement in the US.  Some of the fake non-profits are almost completely funded by the federal government/you!  ECDC is one of those as I pointed out here.

Yippee! Biden’s ‘Cultural Enrichers’ are on the way!

Somalis will soon be on the way to America as Biden lifts Trump’s travel ban! They will need jobs, housing, medical care, food— all to be supplied by you—the American taxpayer.

My alerts have been filled to overflowing with the good news Open Borders advocates have been waiting for.

The dark days are over, the sun is shining, Joe has been installed, the borders will open and soon the masses who will “enrich the fabric” and “enhance the American mosaic” in your (racist) towns and cities will be on the way.

Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas Donohue. https://www.uschamber.com/press-release/us-chamber-ceo-encouraged-bidens-plans-immigration-reform

Trump’s efforts to keep us safe, keep Americans in their jobs and prevent more cases of the costly Chinese virus entering the US are out the window.

And, move over American workers the Chamber of Commerce is jumping for joy as an influx of New Americans want your jobs!

They will work for less, complain less, and vote for socialist Democrats!

From Breitbart:

U.S. Chamber to Joe Biden: You Can Help Americans by Importing Foreign Workers

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says its corporate members can create jobs for Americans if President Joe Biden’s amnesty and migration bill provides them with “the world’s most talented and industrious people.”

The chamber made the January 20 press statement as it applauded Biden’s draft “U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021” that would dramatically accelerate the inflow of foreign workers into Americans’ blue-collar and white-collar jobs.

If you are still living back in the day when big business supported Republicans, wake up.

The party of corporate CEOs is the Democrat party!

In the 2020 election, the U.S. Chamber backed numerous Democratic candidates, largely because the Democrats promised to inflate the labor supply with cheap foreign workers.

More at Breitbart.

Now here is Time magazine heavily quoting from Islamic supremacist Linda Sarsour.

Activists Praise Biden’s Reversal of Trump-Era ‘Discriminatory’ Travel Ban. But the Work Isn’t Over Yet

It isn’t enough to lift the ban, they want a law banning any future bans.

Even after Biden’s reversal, advocacy groups are continuing to push for congressional action to ensure no future president can revive the ban.

The most recent version of Trump’s ban included more countries than the original, and drew scrutiny for its inclusion of six African countries, leading critics to call it the “Muslim and African ban.” It placed varying degrees of restrictions on U.S. visas for citizens from a large group of countries, including Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea, Nigeria, Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan and Tanzania.

More than 42,000 people have been unable to enter the U.S. because of the travel restrictions since 2017, according to the Brennan Center for Justice’s analysis of state department data.

[….]

Linda Sarsour initially opposed Biden during the primary, she spoke publicly about his dementia, but Biden managed to cozy up since then. https://www.conservative-politics.com/conservative-culture/biden-camp-privately-cozies-up-to-muslim-activists-after-disavowal-of-linda-sarsour/

“The executive order is just the first step,” she [Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian-American activist and executive director of MPower Change, a Muslim grassroots movement] says. “It’s the intention to make a wrong right. But there’s also work that comes with that.”

In order to ensure no president has the power to enact such sweeping restrictions again, they are continuing to pressure Congress to pass the No Ban Act.

The law would limit executive authority to prevent any future presidents from issuing similar bans. Such restrictions would only be allowed to apply to cases in which the Secretary of State has identified particular circumstances and credible facts that justify exclusion.

The bill passed the House last July but then stalled in the Senate. With Democrats recently taking control of both chambers, the measure is more likely to be successful.

The No Ban Act is part of a sweeping immigration bill—which Biden sent to Congress Wednesday—that also includes creating pathways to citizenship for undocumented people, cracking down on family separation and providing new funding intended to help immigrants and refugees integrate into the U.S.

[….]

“The rescinding of the Muslim ban is temporary and it’s based on the philosophy, the ideology of the current president,” Sarsour says. “We need the No Ban Act because we need this to be on the record forever because we do not know what’s going to happen in 2024 or 2028.”

More here.

And, here is one more, writer Joshua Cohen at a Jesuit publication manages to work in all the usual platitudes on the subject of refugees.

But, my main reason for posting this (besides laughing at his jargon-filled piece)  is that he flat out lies and no one but me will call him on it. His lie is featured in a pull quote:

What the hell!  Can’t these ‘journalists’ do some research?  I showed you two days ago the refugee admissions numbers at a State Department data base going back to 1975. (While you are there, look at St. Obama’s numbers that never reached 100,000, while Biden has promised 125,000!).

In 2020, 11,814 refugees were admitted and that doesn’t include the scores of other special refugees from Afghanistan.

But, why muddy-up a good piece of propaganda with the facts!

From America The Jesuit Review:

After four years of Trump, it’s time to reset the U.S. refugee policy

LOL!  Look at this one section of Cohen’s piece:

Refugee resettlement in the United States should not be a conservative or liberal issue. At its core, it is a humanitarian issue, and one that reflects our aspirations to be a compassionate and generous people. Most Americans have immigrant roots, and many can trace their family histories to include refugees. These refugees have built new lives here and enriched the fabric of their communities. In recent years, they have included Bosnian and Somali refugees who have further enhanced the American mosaic.

As an affluent nation, the United States has a moral duty to assist people in desperate situations. Closing doors to those who have suffered unthinkable horrors demonstrates fear and weakness.

You are immoral, lacking in compassion, stingy, fearful and weak because you don’t want to change America by changing the people, says Cohen.

China Does NOT Want Any Refugees from the Middle East (or from anywhere else)!

How sick are you of hearing that we in America have some moral obligation to admit more refugees to our towns and cities?  Well, get ready to barf because you are going to hear it non-stop if Biden/Harris succeed in stealing the White House.

And, when was the last time you heard the UN and its sycophants in the media and among those in the international “humanitarian” NGO cabal blasting China for being racist?

(Of course we do hear that China treats its existing Muslim population badly, but I’ve rarely ever seen any stories referencing their very clear NO to any more refugees of any sort.)

China welcomes “ethnic Chinese” to return to China. Bring money and business. All others need not apply.  https://www.scmp.com/news/china/society/article/2131030/ethnic-chinese-and-want-live-china-find-out-if-you-qualify-new

So when a commenter mentioned China in a comment to another post yesterday, I went looking for articles about how China wants China to be for the Chinese!  No multi-culti BS for them!

And, surprise! The Chinese people want to take care of the poor Chinese first. Additionally they sensibly look at the Islamic terrorism now rampant in Europe and ask why should they ‘welcome’ that to their homeland.  Why indeed!

Here is a good explanation at The Diplomat from 2017:

Why Do Chinese Reject Middle Eastern Refugees?

Islamophobia is a potent factor, but not the whole story.

June 20 was “World Refugee Day,” but the following days witnessed strong debates over the refugee issue inside China. Many Chinese newspapers and websites highlighted the news of Yao Chen, who is a famous Chinese movie and TV star, visiting foreign refugees in both China and abroad.

Yao Chen, China’s ‘Angelina Jolie’ visits Syrian refugees.

Those reports about refugees were viewed by Chinese public as attempts to “create a public atmosphere,” or a sign that Chinese government is preparing to accept Middle East refugees (an assumption made largely because of the official background of Chinese news agencies).

Countless discussions and petitions denouncing Yao Chen and the possibility of China accepting refugees have emerged, not only on social media sites such as Weibo and WeChat, but also on several leading internet blogs. Public surveys show that a massive majority of Chinese (in some surveys, nearly 99 percent) strongly oppose the idea of settling Middle Eastern refugees, especially Muslim refugees, inside China.

This public fear of accepting refugees, especially Muslims, first and foremost reflects China’s increasing Islamophobia.

The people are not stupid, they see what is going on in Europe with Islamic terrorism:

….the continuing terrorism threat in Europe and increased reports of crimes such as rapes and murders committed by Syrian and Afghan refugees in Europe also stoked fear in the Chinese public.

An Arab refugee disses Chinese people:

In addition, negative stories about Middle Eastern refugees who have stayed in China made the Chinese public feel taken advantage of or offended. One such story recounts the example of a male Arab refugee who stayed in Beijing for seven years before he headed to Canada. He reportedly never worked or learned to speak Chinese and survived on his Chinese girlfriend’s monthly salary. When Yao Chen, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ goodwill ambassador in China, visited this refugee in Beijing and praised his Chinese girlfriend for being “hardworking,” the refugee replied: “My girlfriend should thank me because I teach her English!” Many Chinese took great offense to this “shameless” reaction.

The Chinese people who have had their own family size restricted want to take care of China’s poor people first (where have I heard that before!):

Although President Xi Jinping has created the Belt and Road initiative and increased China’s international influence, most Chinese still question whether China should help foreign states given the fact that there are still more than 500 million “underprivileged people” in China today.

America broke it (the Middle East), they should be responsible say the Chinese:

….many Chinese people believe it should be the United States, European states, or at least Arab states that resettle Middle Eastern refugees, based on the logic of “punishing” those who caused the problem in the first place. Chinese people believe the Middle Eastern refugee issue resulted from the civil wars “provoked” and “interfered” in by the West and other Middle Eastern states, and thus it should be their responsibility to take care of these refugees.

More here.

So any chance that Beijing Biden will get us back into conflicts in the Middle East in order to create more refugees and that we will be guilt-tripped into bringing them to live among us? Yup!

And, any chance Biden will put pressure on China regarding its attitude toward Muslims and urge them to take in Middle Easterners?  Nope!

Leadership Battle Within American Jewish Groups Exposes HIAS Dirty Linen

In a perverse way, it is a good thing that the leadership of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations has chosen the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS)‘s Dianne Lob as its future Chairman of the Board because it energized investigators to look into HIAS many activities that for our purposes mostly center around its role as one of nine federal refugee resettlement agencies milking the US taxpayers as it seeks to expand immigration of all sorts to your American towns and cities.

Here Caroline Glick gives us a thorough laundry list of why picking someone so closely tied to HIAS signals a wrong and dangerous direction for American Jewish groups.

American Jewry’s Organizational Crack-Up

Last week an event occurred will be remembered as a key moment in the disintegration of organized American Jewish support for Israel and American Jewish organizational life itself.

Global business leader, Dianne Lob, has been affiliated with HIAS for a decade. https://www.hias.org/global-business-leader-take-helm-hias-board

Last Friday, the leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations announced that the Conference’s nominating committee had selected Dianne Lob, the immediate past president of HIAS to run unopposed for the position of Chairman of the Conference’s Executive Board. Her election is scheduled to take place on April 28.

The Conference of Presidents – an umbrella group that comprises 53 Jewish American organizations — is widely viewed as the most important Jewish organization in the United States.

Why is Lob’s selection important? On the face of things, it was unremarkable.

People who have known Lob for decades describe her as a garden variety New York Jewish liberal whose views on Israel are in keeping with the views of the vast majority of American Jews.

Members of the Conference of President for their part claim not to know her at all. During her term as Chairman of HIAS from 2016-2019, she didn’t participate in major Conference events like its trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Lob’s selection is an earthquake in American Jewish organizational life is not because of anything she has said or done, but because of her organizational affiliation to HIAS.

[….]

As the Zionist Organization of America documented in a letter*** to the heads of the Conference of Presidents following Lob’s selection, in a declaration before a U.S. federal court, HIAS attested that the refugees they serve today come from “Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Ukraine, Bhutan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Sudan, Uganda, Russia, Belarus, and Burma, among other countries. Many of these clients are Muslim.”

Lob herself attested that 90 percent of the Syrians and 60 percent of the Iraqis that HIAS brings to the U.S. are Muslim.

HIAS’s contribution to Muslim immigration to the U.S. is significant for two key reasons. First it is indisputable that many of the Muslims immigrating to the U.S. are anti-Semitic. As ZOA noted, “according to the ADL Global 100 Antisemitism Index, in 16 Muslim majority Middle Eastern countries, 74% to 93% of the population is antisemitic.”

So by bringing Muslims from Syria and Iraq to the U.S., HIAS is in all likelihood bringing anti-Semites to America.

29 groups make up the Refugee Council USA, the lobbying arm of the refugee industry. They all work with Islamic Relief USA. https://rcusa.org/members/

The second reason HIAS’s efforts to bring Muslims to America is significant is because in its work in this arena HIAS has collaborated with Islamic groups associated with Islamic terrorist organizations. For instance, HIAS has worked with Islamic Relief.

Islamic Relief is a branch of Islamic Relief Worldwide, (IRW). As the ZOA noted, Israel outlawed IRW because of its terrorist activities, including financing of Hamas terror. HIAS has also worked with the Council on American Islamic Relations, (CAIR) which was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland Foundation trial where the Holyland Foundation was found guilty of funding Hamas.

[….]

In Israel, HIAS works with other leftist extremist groups to prevent the deportation of illegal aliens from Sudan and Eritrea. This week they launched a protest with the Anti-Defamation League in Israel demanding that Israel expand the rights of illegal aliens who have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Continue here, there is much more.

If you are a member of one of the groups that make up the Conference of Presidents, time is running out to let them know what you think!

*** The ZOA letter is here, keep it for future reference if you need information on HIAS!

I have a huge archive on HIAS because of its longtime role as a US resettlement contractor and more recently because it is an unabashed Trump-hating political activist group, see it here.

Republican Governors All Talk No Action (Memory Lane!)

Do you remember this headline only four short years ago?  Probably not.  I hadn’t, although I surely wrote about it at the time.  It was right after one of those horrible Islamic terrorist attacks in Europe and it woke from slumber some Republican governors for a few minutes.

30 Governors Call For Halt To U.S. Resettlement Of Syrian Refugees

My how things have changed.

They talked tough then (mostly because Obama was in office and they knew they had no voice), but now when the President has actually presented them with an opportunity to put up or shut up and go on record saying NO to more refugees from the Middle East and elsewhere, well now they are worried about their “workforce” and they tuck their tails and run fearing they will be perceived as mean and unwelcoming by the Dems.

Here is a very cool graphic from NPR at the time.

Nothing has changed by the way!  We bring fewer Syrians these days, but the vast majority of Syrians who do come are Muslims.

And, not just Syrians, but Iraqis, Somalis, Burmese Rohingya and literally tens of thousands of Afghans.

The vetting can’t really be improved because as Senator Marco Rubio said at the time:

“There is no background-check system in the world that allows us to find that out, because who do you call in Syria to background-check them?”

That same common sense applies to most places in the Middle East, Asia and Africa—who you gonna call?

Although I should be writing on all sorts of things on this subject, not to mention that my other blogFrauds and Crooks’ is suffering from lack of attention, I found myself rummaging around Wrapsnet (the Refugee Processing Center) and holy cow!

Four years: 19,514 Syrians!

In the 4 years since NPR posted their story (from November 17, 2015 to today December 11, 2019) we admitted 19,514 Syrians—19,514!  19,195 of those are Muslims!

Although most of those came as Obama was leaving town, 6,413 of the Syrian Muslims came in Trump’s first (partial) year with 602 since.

Here is where the nearly 20,000 Syrians were placed:

Amazing how we forget!

Don’t miss Daniel Horowitz today at Conservative Review:

GOP governors betraying constituents by pushing refugee resettlement

He linked a list of today’s Republican Governors and so far that we know of (some might be hiding!), Republican governors of Utah, New Hampshire, Arizona and North Dakota are opposing the President (and America Firsters) on the issue of Refugee Resettlement.
