What do refugee criminals cost taxpayers?

It is a question I have asked many times over the years!

Whenever I see a news story with some glowing report about how refugees financially benefit the communities in which they are placed, I suspect that all the costs to society are never calculated.

For instance….

Costs like remittance dollars sent out of the US economy (a story for another day!)? Cost of interpreters for myriad obscure languages? Complete cost of educating the children? Costs associated with elderly and infirm refugees? And, the cost of crime, of courts, of prison time!

Victorville
High security federal prison, Victorville, in California where an Uzbek refugee attempted to murder the prison warden!

We have had a bunch of refugee crime stories lately including the Iraqi alleged terrorist found living in California, the Iraqi who shot a police officer in the head in Colorado, the Uzbek sentenced for trying to kill the prison warden, the Ethiopian alleged human rights abuser arrested in Virginia last week, and see today’s more detailed story about the Arizona Somalis who lied to get in to the US. (All those and 2,000 more stories are posted in my Crimes category.)

Someone with accounting and financial skills needs to put some time in to researching the costs to the US taxpayer of refugee criminals in America.

Secret decoder ring needed! This time in Virginia and Arizona

I’ve been joking about the fact that the vast majority of news stories about violent crimes report that the “man” was responsible and then go on to name the arrested man, not as Bob Jones or Fred Smith, but Mohamed A. Abdullahi or Chukwumankpam Mbegbu.

adios america cover

Ann Coulter made light of this fact in her best seller “Adios America.”

She said citizens need “secret decoder rings” when reading news stories in order to figure out where certain violent criminals came from and how they got to America (illegally? or through some legal program) because the police and the media are going to keep those facts secret unless an enterprising reporter does some serious digging.

Two more such cases came to my attention over the last few days.

World Refugee Day cancelled in Lewiston, Maine

Tomorrow, June 20th, is World Refugee Day created by the United Nations in the year 2000.
Each year since, it has served as a media hook for reports and glowing stories about refugee contributions to America. (The Left is so good at creating propaganda opportunities!)
But, for Lewiston, Maine this week, the word ‘refugee’ is not a happy word.

Lewiston, ME: Man attacked by gang of Somali teens dies

We told you recently that roving gangs of Somali ‘children’ and teens were terrorizing park goers in the Somali capital of New England, see here.
Now someone is dead.

Donald Giusti (Facebook photo)
Donald Giusti died after a Somali refugee ‘youth’ smashed in his head with a brick.

Here is the brief article from the Lewiston Sun Journal that hints at a racial component but incredibly never mentions the ‘S’ word—Somali.   (Hat tip: Maine First)

Youtube shooter was a refugee from Iran

That is what the LA Times is reporting, here.  (Hat tip: Peter)

nasim
Attempted murderer Nasim Najafi Aghdam

Surely you’ve seen the story about an animal rights activist shooting human beings a few days ago, but if you haven’t, check out the LA Times.
I only want to make a couple of points.  First here is a tiny snip of the story:

Aghdam entered the country as a refugee roughly two decades ago, a family member said. In one of her videos, she said she was born in Urmia, Iran — where she and other members of her Baha’i faith face discrimination — and that her family had spent a year and a half in Turkey.

Turkey?
Readers need to know that Turkey has been a major processing center for refugees from the Middle East (imagine what fraud could be happening there!) for many years.
Trump Admin doesn’t process as many through Turkey
I’ve reported on the processing countries on several occasions, but it might be instructive to see that as Obama was leaving office, Turkey was one of our top processing centers, here.  And, then here, a year later, Turkey has been demoted as a processing country. I don’t have the inside skinny on what happened.
The mentally ill are admissible as refugees
The other thing you need to know is that we don’t screen for mental illness in the refugee admissions process—we take many nuts!
(Based on this reporting and her age now, she was an adult when admitted to the US.)
And, when those nuts do something as violent criminals, you dear taxpayers support them for the rest of their natural lives!  (Not the case this time, she spared you by killing herself!)
