As October Ends, No New Refugees Admitted to the US

It is extremely rare for an entire month to pass with no refugee admissions and needless to say the refugee industry spokesmen are not happy.

No refugee arrivals means no per head payments for the contractors!

We reported earlier that two different dates were given for resumption of taxpayer-funded flights of refugees to arrive in the month of October.  CNN is now reporting that the first refugees of FY2020, which began on October first, might not get here until November 5th.

No refugees will be resettled in the US in October, leaving hundreds in limbo around the world

Washington (CNN)  The United States is on track to not admit any refugees in October, after already canceling around 500 flights this month, CNN has learned.

A pause on admissions that was expected to lift on Tuesday will now extend into November, leaving those who expected to resettle in the US in limbo. It also means additional travel will need to be canceled and re-booked at the expense of federal taxpayers.

That previous line gave me a chuckle—they are worried about taxpayer expenses!  Since when?  And, by not bringing any refugees in October taxpayers were spared at minimum a quarter of a million to a million dollars in just the cost of resettlement, let alone the initial cash handouts and social service (aka welfare) expenses the refugees incur upon arrival.

CNN continues….

Danielle Grigsby interim Director of the refugee industry’s DC lobbying office and PR firm, Refugee Council USA, told CNN that the delay was “unconscionable.”

The moratorium will run through November 5, according to a State Department spokesperson. “We will work with our implementing partners to plan for a resumption of refugee arrivals, including rescheduling travel for those affected by the extension,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

It’s the third time this month that the State Department has delayed refugee admissions. Travel for refugees who were told they could come to the US was postponed through October 21, and then later to October 28. There’s usually a pause in arrivals the first week of October.

The Trump administration has proposed capping the number of refugees allowed into the US at 18,000, a historic low. But in order for refugees to be admitted in the new fiscal year, President Donald Trump has to sign off on the refugee ceiling. The consistent delays in travel suggests Trump has not signed it yet.

The latest travel delays come as the humanitarian crisis in Syria worsens.

Limbaugh on Trump and Middle East refugees!

I never got a chance to post it, but this seems like a good time.

Trump gave a speech on October 23rd about the US pulling back in Syria and here is what Rush Limbaugh said about Trump and his comments.

Right on!

He gave a mini-barn-burner here. He ripped into Obama. He ripped into previous presidents for a bunch of basic dishonesty in committing American troops around the world. He pointed out that the Middle East has become more unstable as more troops have been deployed. The wars have never ended.

And he made a great point, that as we have continued to send troops to these areas of the Middle East and as the chaos in these areas has ratcheted up, guess what else has happened at the same time? We have opened our borders to more refugees and more immigrants. And Trump says these days are over.

We’re not gonna go sponsor chaos and then say out of compassion, “Well, come here,” and open our borders. We’re not falling for this anymore.

This is exactly why Trump got elected.

He made it very clear what the game has been. The State Department, the permanent Washington establishment commits American troops to little skirmishes here and skirmishes there, and nobody ever wins because they never end. We recycle troops. We sell more ammunition and more weapons. The areas become war-torn and unlivable and the people that live there flee, and they go to Europe and some want to come here.

At the same time, we open our borders, we open our borders to more illegal immigrants, and we open our borders to more refugees, and he said these days are over, this is not gonna happen any longer in announcing this permanent ceasefire.

More here.

Will Trump stick with the 18,000?  Guess we will find out shortly.

Rush Limbaugh: US military more worried about climate refugees than ISIS, Ebola and Putin

I had to laugh when I heard Limbaugh talking about climate refugees—-something we have been reporting on for years here at RRW.  In fact, we are probably your go-to site for climate refugee news from a skeptical perspective.  It’s not that I don’t think people will be on the move around the world due to changing factors in the environment—hasn’t that happened since the beginning of the human race?—it’s just that now it will be used as one more way to bludgeon us into opening our wallets and letting the world move in next door.

See our “climate refugees” category by clicking here (this is our 40th post on the subject):

Here is Rush (emphasis mine):

RUSH: I had this in the Stack two days ago, meaning last Friday, I had it in the Stack yesterday, just touched on it. But let me give you a little thing here just to make a point, keep things in perspective. I mentioned yesterday the Pentagon is now developing strategies as to how to handle climate change, the Pentagon.

On the basis of what? You might say, the Pentagon, the defense department, climate change, what the heck is the connection?

You’ve got to understand who is at the Pentagon now. It’s not your average George C. Scott who wants to bomb the commies anymore. You’ve got extensions of Barack Obama in the Defense Department. So when the Pentagon talks about the fear that global warming is something they have to strategize and have to have ready to go, what it means is global warming is going to cause more pestilence. It’s going to cause more starvation.

It’s going to cause drought and it’s going to cause floods and it’s going to cause cold weather and hot weather, and all of this is going to create refugees like we’ve never seen. And these refugees are going to be marching all over the globe trying to escape the harsh conditions global warming will bring on, and that is what will present the challenge to the US military.

Don’t misunderstand. It’s not that the military is devising weapons to stop climate change. The military, under orders from Obama, is coming up with strategies to deal with the pests. The locusts, for example, and all the destruction that will be caused by global warming which will lead to increased numbers of poverty stricken refugees. And it will basically be a crowd control operation. That’s what the Pentagon’s global climate change military strategy planning is all about. Crowd control. When you get right down to it. And it’s ridiculous.

He goes on, read it all.

Then please visit our ‘climate refugees’ category, here.

Obama sure is working overtime to change the subject!  Could the Ebola news and the ISIS news get any worse?

Good summary of hot spots where communities are fighting back; plans for this weekend

World Net Daily writer Leo Hohmann has posted a good summary about the upcoming ALIPAC nationwide demonstrations against amnesty and the border surge and has listed some of the communities standing up and saying NO! to the feds who want to dump illegal aliens on their communities.

Frankly, I ended yesterday frustrated by how to keep up and report to you about every place in America that has so far opposed the Obama border invasion, but thanks to Hohmann’s summary I feel relieved and will move on to a few other issues involving refugees and ‘unaccompanied minors’ (fake refugees) today.

Here is World Net Daily:

Rush Limbaugh is good on the issue of uncontrolled immigration except he, like so many, doesn’t get it that the Catholic Church is being PAID by the feds to resettle refugees and the unaccompanied alien minors. US Bishops are as hard Left as Obama on immigration. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/03/31/rush-limbaugh-is-wrong-about-catholic-church/

A massive protest scheduled for July 18 and 19 across the United States is aimed at stopping the influx of Central American children flooding across the border, and more than a dozen smaller community protests already have played roles in stopping the children from being brought there.

Citizens in Westminster, Maryland; Oracle, Arizona; Vassar, Michigan; Greece, New York, and many other places have blocked the importation of illegal aliens into their communities through public protests, letters and official resolutions from elected leaders.

See full list below.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh led his show Tuesday with stories about the successful pushback against the illegals going on across America.

“Here’s what you do not know,” he said. “There are towns all over America standing up to this invasion, just like they did in Murrieta, California. You’re not hearing about it, however, and I am here to tell you why you’re not hearing about it. Westminster, Maryland, is a town standing up to it, just like Murrieta, California, did. Oracle, Arizona, is standing up to it.

“In Nebraska they’re gonna stand up to it when they find out. The governor is fit to be tied,” Limbaugh continued. “Upper Michigan, same thing. There are towns all over America standing up to this. There are protests happening, but they’re not being covered.”

But the mother of all protests promises to be Friday and Saturday. It’s dubbed the National Day of Protesting Against Immigration Reform, Amnesty & Border Surge, and it’s gaining support by the hour, said William Gheen, president of the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC and one of 11 sponsors. The main organizers are ALIPAC, Overpasses For America and MakeThemListen.com, Gheen said.

“Right now it’s looking like we’ll have a little more than 300 protest rallies large and small across the country.

Look here for a state by state listing of protest locations.

There is lots more, read it all.  Hohmann summarizes what is happening in a bunch of hot spots around the US.

Obama: We need the migrant kids! Limbaugh: for Democrat voters!

Did you catch Rush Limbaugh yesterday?

Limbaugh: If our future rests on the illegal alien kids, why are we depriving their home countries of their best people?

He talked about Obama’s trip to Massachusetts where Obama pushed the idea (to Democrat donors!) that America needs the ‘dreamer’ kids like the thousands recently streaming illegally across our border.***

Limbaugh says Obama needs them, of course, for fresh blood as Democrat voters, but Limbaugh also said, and I wish I had thought of it, if these dreamers are so important to our future why are we luring them from their poor homelands mostly in Mexico and Central America?

Hey Obama, aren’t you in fact stealing their best people and robbing those countries of their futures?

Here is a post at National Review Online about Obama’s talk to Democrat donors, a talk that Limbaugh referred to:

President Obama reminded Democratic donors that “our future rests” on the success of people brought to the United States illegally as children, who would qualify for citizenship if Congress had passed the DREAM Act.

[….]

Obama made the comments at a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser in Massachusetts, in reference to students at Worcester Tech.

[….]

“We need it badly from a purely — purely economic point of view,” Biden said Tuesday, per The Hill. It’s an argument that corporations tend to support, but the White House push comes as Congress is still coming to terms with the shock of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) losing his primary to Dave Brat, a political novice supported by local Tea Party activists who faulted Cantor for being out of touch with the district.

Radio talk show host Laura Ingraham promises to make sure the Republican nominee for President in 2016 is not Jeb Bush!

Cantor’s support for DREAM Act-style legislation, which he announced a few months after the 2012 election, inspired conservative radio host Laura Ingraham to rally grassroots voters against him.

“Now, Ingraham is setting her sights on 2016: In particular, she wants to ensure that the Republican nominee is not cut from Cantor’s cloth,” National Review Online’s Eliana Johnson reported. “Brat’s victory, she says, is a step in the right direction: ‘Everybody that’s hoping and praying for a Jeb Bush run, they should spend a lot of time focusing on what just happened in Virginia.’”

Remember Bush’s controversial remarks a couple of months ago about the illegals flooding in from Central America and Mexico when he called their illegal entry an “act of love?”

One of my friends wondered yesterday if the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services lobbying campaign for the “kids” called #ActOfLove was inspired by Bush!

If you are on twitter, be sure to tweet your stories about the “vulnerable kids” to #ActOfLove!

Rush Limbaugh is wrong about Catholic Church

Limbaugh gets-it on immigration, so he now needs to modify what he says about the Catholic Church! http://www.politico.com/story/2014/01/rush-limbaugh-gop-to-commit-suicide-102947.html

The other day I happened to catch a bit of Rush Limbaugh’s radio program and for the first time in over twenty years found myself shouting at the radio.

If I understood him correctly in the portion of the show I heard, Limbaugh was pretty much saying that the Catholic Church/Pope was a paragon of conservatism and nothing anyone (especially Obama and pals!) could say would cause them to waver on issues such as abortion and gay marriage and for that the Left is p*****-off.

Is Rush ignorant of the role played by the hard left Catholic church in Obama’s rise in Chicago politics?

The Catholic Bishops stand to benefit financially from ‘immigration reform!’

It may be so (that the Church won’t be swayed) on those social issues, but Limbaugh apparently has no idea about how important the Catholic Church is, and especially the Bishops, on the issue of immigration and open borders.  They are as far-Left on that issue as they come, and it has little to do with compassion and everything to do with cold hard cash!

Come to think of it, I can’t really blame Limbaugh for not knowing that the Bishops are deep into the taxpayers’ wallets since the mainstream media NEVER mentions it.

The Bishops would be broke without the millions of dollars they get from US taxpayers. Then there is the taxpayer funding they get for some of the 120 illegal alien “kids” crossing the border each day. The Bishops have a contract with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement for their care.

And, don’t forget the church helped bring the thousands of Muslims to Syracuse, NY which has now resulted in the travesty of a historic Catholic Church being converted to a mosque.

To illustrate where the Bishops are on open borders, this story from the Washington Post on Friday entitled, ‘US Catholic leaders hope church’s actions can revive immigration reform,’  pretty much says it all.

The news-hook is Obama’s visit with the Pope, but it’s all about the church’s lobbying efforts to bring about so-called ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ which (if passed and signed into law) will benefit the Bishops financially as they will get more ‘clients’ (millions of clients) in need of ‘services’ (showing them how to get their welfare benefits) to add to the tens of thousands of refugees they now have on their client roster.

Read the WaPo article yourself and remember these deportation numbers are B.S. as Senator Sessions reported last week (it must be maddening for the Senator to see this propaganda).  ***Update*** More evidence that Obama is not deporting large numbers of aliens.

And, get ready for the Bishops publicity stunt at the border this week where they plan to mimic the Pope’s visit last summer to the beleaguered Italian island of Lampedusa.

Hey Rush, how about putting some qualifiers in when you praise the Bishops the next time!
