It probably never went away, but several news accounts of recent days suggests the attacks on immigrants to the “Rainbow Nation” have picked up lately.

We have chronicled (see my archive here) the fact that South Africa’s black citizens are not welcoming to their fellow black Africans (they didn’t get the Nelson Mandela message I suppose!) from countries to their north. They especially don’t like Somalis!
The international Hard Left (Commies, the Obamas and others) don’t like this bad news getting out broadly because they have much invested in the myth of South Africa as a “Rainbow Nation” now that the whites have been driven from power there.
And, part of that Leftist mythology is that anyone who has been discriminated against in the past couldn’t possibly discriminate against others, right!
As you read this remember these are not white people attacking the immigrants, they are black South Africans! And, since they don’t want that fact to spread widely, you need to spread it widely!
Italy sparks EU crisis: Brussels calls emergency migrant talks as leader threatens to QUIT
ITALIAN interior minister Matteo Salvini has sensationally threatened to resign over the latest migrant crisis engulfing bloc as the European Commission called an emergency meeting on the issue.
The leader of the right-wing Lega party is at loggerheads with Italian President Sergio Mattarella over whether 177 migrants rescued in the Mediterranean should be able to disembark from the Diciotti ship, which has been left in limbo since docking in Sicilly since Monday.

Only 29 unaccompanied minors have been allowed to leave the boat so far.
He has insisted that migrants should only be able to disembark onto Italian soil if other EU allies agree to share the burden with them.
Mr Mattarella is more in favour of letting migrants onto Italian soil for humanitarian reasons and made a rare intervention to end a similar dispute last month by letting 67 migrants disembark from the Diciotti after another rescue mission.
But Mr Salvini has stepped up his opposition to the Italian President’s proposals and will not let him do the same thing again.
In a video message yesterday, he said: “Either you change the country or you change the minister.”

In a press briefing on Thursday, he told reporters: “We continue working towards a swift resolution so that people on board can be safely disembarked as soon as possible.
“The priority for everyone should be to ensure these people receive the care they need.”

I assume you have been following the extensive news accounts coming out of SA about the Communist government there beginning to take farm land without compensation from white farmers.
The New York Times is downplaying that news and once again it (everything in the world!) is all Trump’s fault or in some way connected to him.

I’ve been writing about the decay and the xenophobia in South Africa for years that puts a lie to the Leftwing meme that S.A. is the “Rainbow nation” (implying it welcomes all colors).
It does not and in fact please note that the US is still bringing Somalis and other Africans (not the white refugees!) to your towns and cities as refugees from SA “xenophobia.” (See my South Africa archive byclicking here.)

Trump Cites False Claims of Widespread Attacks on White Farmers in South Africa
CAPE TOWN, South Africa — President Trump waded into South Africa’s proposal to seize land from white farmers, saying in a post on Twitter late Wednesday that he had asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to “closely study” the “the large scale killing of farmers” — a claim disputed by official figures and the country’s biggest farmer’s group.
Mr. Trump’s comment came after the Fox News host Tucker Carlson presented a late-night program on South Africa, including land seizures and homicides, and described President Cyril Ramaphosa as “a racist.” [Nothing cuts the Left so much than to call a black leader a racist!—ed]
The tweet gives prominence to a false narrative [this is a news story, not an editorial!—ed] pushed by some right-wing groups in South Africa that there have been numerous seizures of white-owned land and widespread killings of white farmers. Some of those groups have brought their claims to the United States on lobbying trips.
NYT! Your bias is showing!
Just imagine if some Leftist ‘humanitarian’ NGO was bringing claims of genocide of blacks in Africa to America, would the NYT refer to their efforts as merely “lobbying trips?” Never in a million years.
Then this! The government is only taking “unused land.”
The government has said expropriating farms is necessary to deal with longstanding inequities and that only unused land would be subject to seizure, suggesting that land that is being actively farmed would be safe.
And whew, the NYT goes on—-the numbers of farmers killed is down to 47 this past year, while in the previous year it was 66 who were murdered working the land. I guess to the NYT, over 100 killed in 2 years doesn’t constitute “widespread killings.”
The International Left (through house organs like the NYT) must at all costs keep the myth of the black run South Africa as the Rainbow Nation alive!
Stories of killings to drive out white landowners must be squelched!
We have written on this topic on many previous occasions. The Rainbow Nation (South Africa) has been experiencing xenophobic and racist violence for years.
The most bloody violence has been directed at the landowners who farm the land (and incidentally feed the population)!
Readers should know that the US (so far) has not invited the persecuted farmers to America, but we do admit hundreds of ‘refugees’ a year from South Africa.
We resettle Somali and other Africans that South Africa rejects. So much for the Rainbow Nation myth!
And, by the way, I haven’t heard any clamor from the US refugee industry/contractors to add South African whites to our refugee admissions for the coming year. Why is that? Could it be that it doesn’t fit the meme—only people of color are persecuted, never the other way around! Think about it! Admitting such a thing would turn the whole UN upside down!
Can you imagine the day when European whites from Sweden, the UK or France beg for asylum in the US? I can.

So I checked it out and see that the government of Australia has said they will get no special treatment, and indeed the Australian Leftists say that the government must first take care of the mostly Muslim migrants being held in detention on Nauru and Manus islands.

But, because I have been predicting for years that once the United Nations is forced to admit that blacks can be racists and that whites are applying for refugee status because they are being persecuted by people of color they will fight to the death to deny it! I once asked readers to imagine the day when the UN High Commissioner for Refugees must process white Swedes (or South Africans) in to the US. That alone might kill the entire refugee industry, I surmised. Heck, Trump could run a test! He could put white South Africans at the head of the line.
He could, you know!
In September his administration will send its “determination” to Congress which not only sets the numbers for resettlement for FY19, but sets priorities for which nationalities may be brought in.
In fact, he could classify white South Africans in the P-2 categorywhich would allow anyone in that group to be eligible and each individual would not have to prove that he/she is personally being persecuted. When I saw this—one more story on Trump’s ‘Muslim ban’ and the slowdown in refugee arrivals to America, it was just one more ‘ho-hum’—so what else is new.
But, like most of the stories a little nugget pops out that gives me a better picture of how the UN and the US State Department are changing America. Only rarely do I see stories that tell us where other African blacks experiencing hatred from black South Africans are moving to. This is one of those where we see the pipeline start to finish!
Of course they can’t call it racism when its black vs. black, so for those Somalis who arrived in South Africa as illegal aliens and were transformed into refugees for your towns and cities by the thousands, they say it is xenophobia that is responsible for their ticket to America.
The story is about Mankato, MN a city that went from a 19% poverty level in 2000 to a 26% in 2015 being resettled with Somalis by the Minnesota Council of Churches(a Subcontractor of Church World Service).

Hereis the Mankato Free Press falling for the big boo-hoo story on the drop in number of Somalis arriving in that southern Minnesota city.
MANKATO — Refugee resettlement in the Mankato area has slowed over the past year amid President Donald Trump’s attempts to ban travelers from certain Muslim-majority countries.
The local drop is a reflection of what’s happened statewide and nationwide, adding further uncertainty for refugees already in the middle of lengthy resettlement processes.
Somali refugees and their families awaiting reunification in Mankato have been most impacted by the ban.
Ben Walen, director of refugee services with the Minnesota Council of Churches, said his organization knows of 16 individuals who would’ve likely settled in Mankato before September 2018 if the ban never happened. Now he doesn’t expect them to arrive in Minnesota before the end of the year. And an arrival next year is anyone’s guess.
Then this is what I found most informative. Minnesota Council of Churches employee, Habiba Rashid, came to Minnesota as a refugee from xenophobia in South Africa (aka the “Rainbow Nation”). Then she got her family in through chain migration.
So, as I have been saying, the white South Africans who are being persecuted by racist black South Africans should apply to the UN and Church World Service to get to the US as refugees. Head on over to that UN/Church World Service office in Johannesburg and (try to) get on the list!
After all, CWS is paid by the head to bring refugees to the US, it shouldn’t matter to them whether they are black or white, right? Not knowing when the wait will end has been hard on families in the area, said Habiba Rashid, who settled in Mankato with her husband six years ago.
“Families here are panicking,” she said.
Now a community navigator in the council’s Mankato Area Refugee Services office, she waited six years before her resettlement here and another four afterward for her mom, dad and siblings younger than 18 to join — a timeline she describes as “lucky” compared to others. She said a term like “chain migration”is a misleading term for what should be thought of as family reunification.
Calling it chain migration also assumes refugees can just attach family members to their resettlement applications, which she said doesn’t resemble her experience or the experiences of the families she knows.

Aid organizations try to comfort them, knowing many waiting for resettlement grew so restless they turned to dangerous crossings into Europe.
Others who wait out the process in countries like South Africa, like Rashid’s family did, face xenophobic attacks.
