Fascinating: Only 3 in 10 Syrian families even want to be resettled in the West

The new Canadian prime minister, boy Trudeau, had campaigned on the promise to bring in 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada by December 31, 2015.  They fell short by about 19,000!   Here is one important reason why (you won’t see this mentioned by the NO borders agitators in the US resettlement industry!).

Trudeau promises
Promises, promises! The do-gooder (paternalistic!) Liberals run into a bit of a problem. 70% of Syrian refugees don’t want to go to Canada.

They want to stay in the Middle East!  Can you believe it!  They like their culture and they hope to go home!
From the Globe and Mail:

Omayma al-Kasem is bold, forthright and speaks clearly and with confidence. She has completed four years of law school and volunteers as a mental-health worker with a Jordanian charity, and as such, is exactly the kind of Syrian refugee Canada wants to welcome. The trouble is, Ms. al-Kasem isn’t interested in coming.

The 26-year-old from Daraa, Syria, is one of a sizable number of Syrians turning down the chance to become permanent residents of Canada. According to UN figures, just three out of every 10 households contacted about resettlement in Canada go on to relocate.

“Some families are still hoping to return home, others are concerned about their ability to integrate into another country – including learn the language,” said Aoife McDonnell, an external relations officer at the UNHCR refugee agency in Jordan.

More here….
One of the unspoken truths that the resettlement industry is loathe to admit is that many refugees who do reach the West are unhappy and want to go home, but they are trapped in a land where they have discovered (to their great disappointment) that no streets are paved with gold.

Daily Kos a paper tiger! Most respondents say "too dangerous" to admit Syrian refugees

Yesterday I told you about the childish Daily Kos post promoting the idea that we should admit 2 million Syrians to the US (all those who want to come here!).  And, I told you to vote in the poll at the end.
Here are the polling questions (screen shot this morning) and the tally!  Note that the number of voters is much larger than those reported for each question.  They only had 5 voters who said this was a “smart policy” while 93% said it was “too dangerous.”  I suspect the percentage in the “too dangerous” category would have been even higher, but apparently the poll was halted at some point.
So don’t be cowed by the likes of the Leftwing kids at Daily Kos!

Indiana: Various social justice/peace groups 'welcome' Syrian Muslims to live among them

There is nothing special about this news and this ‘march’ last week in Indiana to protest the governor’s concern about unvetted Syrian Muslims coming to live in Indiana, but am posting it because I suspect such demonstrations are going on around the country.  And, you should know what they are saying.
As we have learned that 99% of the Syrians entering the US so far this fiscal year are Sunni Muslims apparently that doesn’t concern the ‘peace’ people.

Here is the story at the Purdue Exponent:

On Friday, undergraduate students, graduate students and citizens from Lafayette and West Lafayette gathered in the Purdue Memorial Mall to show their support for Syrian refugees.

The event was organized by the Lafayette chapter of Indiana Moral Mondays, Purdue Student Justice Coalition, Students for Justice in Palestine at Purdue and the Lafayette Area Peace Coalition.

“I believe that letting Syrian refugees in is the right decision,” said Pittayut Phonboon, a sophomore in the College of Engineering. “From a humanitarian standpoint and looking at the United States’ interest in terms of foreign policy, this is the best decision to make.”

You might want to visit this post we wrote back in March where a federally-funded resettlement agency working in Indiana says it’s a good state in which to resettle refugees because a leading Muslim Brotherhood organization has its headquarters there.  See also, here, where the ACLU sued Governor Pence.

If you live in Indiana, and don’t want more refugees resettled there, you need to let the governor know you support him to counter activists like these.

I’ll bet a buck that even after the masscre in San Bernardino by Sunni Muslims that these marchers fear global warming more than their potential new neighbors.

Homeland Security Committee Chairman McCaul: ISIS has tried to infiltrate refugee stream to US

I’ve given up trying to keep up with all the breaking news on this critical issue, but here is one more thing we learned yesterday that needs to be archived here at RRW.
Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily tells us this:

Michael McCaul
Chairman McCaul: The Administration has information about ISIS and refugees that they are not telling you about.

Intelligence officials revealed that it’s no longer just a threat, but an actual occurrence – ISIS terrorists have tried to use the refugee program to enter the United States, but President Obama is keeping the information secret from the American public.

The bombshell was dropped by the head of the House Homeland Security Committee Monday during a speech at the National Defense University.

U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, declined to go into detail about the disclosure, the Hill reported.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, wrote President Obama warning that the Syrian refugee program could become a ‘back door for jihadists” to enter the U.S.

But the revelation will add ammunition to critics of the White House’s refugee plans who have warned that the program is vulnerable to infiltration by adherents of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.

“ISIS members in Syria have attempted to exploit it to get into the United States,” McCaul said during the speech.

“The U.S. government has information to indicate that individuals tied to terrorist groups in Syria have already attempted to gain access to our country through the U.S. refugee program.”

McCaul did not say who informed him and other lawmakers about the revelation, only describing the sources as “elements of the intelligence community,” according to the Hill.

[….]

McCaul described the source who informed him about the ISIS attempts to infiltrate as a brave patriot.

[….]

Clare Lopez, vice president of research and analysis for the Center for Security Policy in Washington, said it’s no surprise ISIS would use the refugee program to infiltrate America, because they promised to do so.

[….]

Lopez said a moratorium on all refugee resettlements from Muslim countries is the only answer at this point.

Ha! There is that M-word!

Action Alert!  It is not too late, go here and follow instructions to call Congress today!  Stopping the funding for refugee resettlement is the surest way to get the job done immediately!  Details can be worked out once the money is cut off!  If they can cut off the visas too, more power to them!
