Jihadist Uzbek Diversity Visa Lottery winner kills eight near World Trade Center

You don’t need me to give you that news, but let’s first talk about the Diversity Visa Lottery (aka Green card lottery) which we have discussed often on these pages over the previous ten years.  It is one more LEGAL immigration program that must go!

(Here is my archive on the program.  And, I’ll say it again. There are many possible themes for ‘amateur’ investigative bloggers that I’ve been nagging some of you to jump in to over the years including the Diversity Visa Lottery, Temporary Protected Status and immigrant food stamp and medicaid fraud.  There is a desperate need for individual bloggers focusing solely on those topics and more every day because we cannot count on the mainstream media to inform us!)

Here is a good summary about Trump and the Diversity Visa Lottery in the wake of this latest Islamic terrorist attack from John Binder at Breitbart.

Sayfullo Saipov
Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov

President Trump could shut this down in a heartbeat with an Executive Order if he so chose. Or, at minimum, add Uzbekistan to the list of countries requiring additional screening.

Binder:

The suspected foreign national terrorist behind the New York City attack that has left at least eight individuals dead came to the United States years ago through the Diversity Visa Lottery, a program that President Trump and pro-American immigration reformers have demanded an end to.

According to ABC New York, 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov — the man who allegedly mowed down pedestrians in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City — entered the U.S. in 2010 from Uzbekistan under the Diversity Visa Lottery before obtaining a Green Card.

Just think about this!  We haven’t enough diversity in America according to Congress (which has never been able to kill the program) so every year we bring in 50,000 more including from countries that hate us!

The Diversity Visa Lottery gives out 50,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorist problems – such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.

Trump, though, along with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. David Perdue (R-GA), has been calling for an end to the Diversity Visa Lottery program since August. Under the RAISE Act, introduced in February and endorsed by Trump in August, the Diversity Visa Lottery would be eliminated altogether.

The Trump administration took eliminating the Diversity Visa Lottery even more seriously earlier this month when they introduced the president’s immigration priorities, which like the RAISE Act called for the elimination of the program.

Binder has more, click here.

We do not need to wait for the RAISE Act to kill the Diversity Visa Lottery!

(BTW, I’m not a big fan of the RAISE Act because it doesn’t do enough to reform the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.  Let’s not dither around, let’s have a stand alone bill to kill the Diversity Visa Lottery right now.)

Now let’s talk about Uzbeks who have arrived LEGALLY in the US including through the Refugee Admissions Program.

The poster boy for Uzbek Islamic terrorist refugees is Fazliddin Kurbanov who was convicted of  conspiracy to commit terrorism in Idaho in 2015.  See here.

Fazliddin Kurbanov
I’m assuming the bleeding hearts in Idaho who defended Kurbanov were disabused of his goodness when they heard of his brutal attack on the California prison warden.

And, if you had any doubts about how bad he is, he attempted to kill the California  prison warden shortly after arriving to serve his 25-year sentence.

Here is what I reported in May of this year:

For all of the refugee contractors and their groupies busily spreading propaganda that refugees never commit crimes, take note of Muslim Fazliddin Kurbanov who was already in prison, convicted on terrorism charges, and then tried to kill the prison warden a year ago this week!

Where the heck was (is!) the national media on this story?

Unless you read RRW, you may never have known this from KTVB7:

Indictment: Boise man serving terrorism sentence tried to kill prison warden

RIVERSIDE, California — A Boise man who was convicted in 2015 of terrorism-related crimes has been indicted after prosecutors say he attacked the warden at the federal prison where he was held.

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 34, was just months into a 25-year sentence when the attack happened May 31, 2016 at the Federal Correctional Institute in Victorville, California.

He was indicted Wednesday on charges of attempted murder of a federal officer, assault on a federal officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon, and possession by an inmate of a prohibited object intended to be used as a weapon.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kurbanov used a prison-made knife to attack Calvin Johnson, seriously injuring him. According to the Amercian Federation of Government Employees, the warden needed more than 80 staples to close wounds on his torso.

Of course we don’t have the full story and my primary questions are:  How did he get a knife? And, how did he get close enough to the warden?  Were they alone? Was the warden naive or attempting to show the convicted Jihadist how nice he (the warden) was?

Where is Jamshid Muhtorov another Uzbek refugee arrested in 2012 on terrorism charges?

Here is what I said in July of this year:

Recently when I told you about another Uzbek refugee already in prison on terror charges after a guilty verdict in an Idaho trial, here, I wondered what happened to Jamshid Muhtorov who I wrote about in 2012, here.

Jamshid-Muhtorov--30291984_3085_ver1.0_320_240

Before I give you the latest on Muhtorov, the big question remains:

Why were we bringing in this group of known Uzbek troublemakers anyway? Some didn’t even want to be here!

As one of my knowledgeable readers suggests, maybe the reason Muhtorov has not gone to trial yet is that the government might have to reveal why the Bush Administration was taking in Uzbek dissidents as legitimate refugees in the first place!

Isn’t it time for President Trump to force the US State Department and Homeland Security (and the CIA!) to tell us exactly what happened after the 2005 Andijan Uprising in Uzbekistan (a Muslim country where the Muslim factions are fighting each other) and why we admitted some of the trouble makers to the US as refugees?

But that isn’t the end of my Uzbek file!  Here are some other posts from over the years where you can learn more about why we should, at minimum, add Uzbekistan to the Trump extreme vetting list:

Uzbek among three arrested in New York, charged with supporting ISIS

Ohio: More of those charming “Uzbek refugees” in trouble with the law

Why are we importing Uzbeks in the first place?

Update on Uzbek would-be assassin

Racketeering charges filed against Kansas City, MO Uzbeks

And do your remember this story from American Thinker? Uzbek wanted to shoot then Senator Lieberman in the face:

Shoot the Jewish Senator in the Face: Not News?

If you are looking for something to do today, call or write to the White House and tell Donald Trump to put a halt to the Diversity Visa Lottery and add Uzbekistan to the list of countries whose migrants to America will undergo “extreme vetting.”  Click here.

Whatever happened to indicted Uzbek refugee alleged terrorist Jamshid Muhtorov?

Recently when I told you about another Uzbek refugee already in prison on terror charges after a guilty verdict in an Idaho trial, here, I wondered what happened to Jamshid Muhtorov who I wrote about in 2012, here.  By the way, the Idaho Uzbek refugee, Fazliddin Kurbanov, made news again when he attempted to kill the prison warden, see here.

When he goes to trial will we learn more about how and why he was resettled in Colorado in the first place?

Before I give you the latest on Muhtorov, the big question remains:
Why were we bringing in this group of known Uzbek troublemakers anyway? Some didn’t even want to be here!
As one of my knowledgeable readers suggests, maybe the reason Muhtorov has not gone to trial yet is that the government might have to reveal why the Bush Administration was taking in Uzbek dissidents as legitimate refugees in the first place!
Here is what we learned last week.  The short article says there was supposed to have been a hearing on Monday, July 3, but we don’t see any news yet on that.
From the Associated Press (hat tip: Joanne):

DENVER — A court has barred the release of a man detained for 5½ years for allegedly providing material support to an Uzbek terror organization.

Uzbekistan is a mostly Muslim country, so why are we taking Muslim refugees from there and placing them in towns and cities across America?

The Denver Post reports the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals issued its temporary stay at the request of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which appealed a federal judge’s order to release Jamshid Muhtorov. The appeals court will hold a hearing Monday.

Muhtorov argues his right to a speedy trial has been violated, and on June 23, a federal judge ordered his release before trial.

Muhtorov, whose trial is expected to begin early next year, is accused of supporting the Islamic Jihad Union and communicating with its website administrator. He denied the allegations after his January 2012 arrest, saying he was going to visit family in Uzbekistan.

Memory lane: I first testified here in 2012 to the US State Department that the refugee program should be for legitimate refugees and should not be used for extracurricular foreign policy objectives like currying favor with other governments by taking troublemakers off their hands. (Ten reasons for a moratorium, #7)

I believe that happened with the Uzbeks, Bosnians, with the Meshketian Turks/Russia and it is happening again with the Trump Administration plan to admit Australian rejected (mostly Muslim) asylum seekers.

Where are you Congress?

Idaho Uzbek convicted terrorist indicted in attempt to kill prison warden

For all of the refugee contractors and their groupies busily spreading propaganda that refugees never commit crimes, take note of Muslim Fazliddin Kurbanov who was already in prison, convicted on terrorism charges, and then tried to kill the prison warden a year ago this week!

Obama’s US Attorney for Idaho, Wendy Olson, was concerned with American rabble that might act up during Kurbanov’s 2015 trial!

Where the heck was (is!) the national media on this story?
We surely would have heard about the attempted murder by one of our star refugee criminals if anyone had reported it before now.
What do you think? Should I give the refugee advocates the benefit of the doubt and when they say there are no refugee criminals, maybe it’s because the media rarely reports those stories.
See a few of our recent ones, here, here and here (yesterday!).
You might want to see our archive on Fazliddin Kurbanov by clicking here.
Don’t miss this story where Idaho US Attorney Wendy Olson suggested that Americans might demonstrate “acts of bias” during his 2015 trial! (You will see that the Idaho Statesman story is now gone!)

Olson showed her bias as she attempted to tamp down the controversy surrounding the Refugee sexual assault case in Idaho as well, here.  (But, I digress!)
From KTVB-7  titled (LOL! just a “man”):

The indictment describes the knife as “a metal blade or ‘shank’ approximately three to four inches in length.”

Kurbanov was moved to FCI Terminal Island in San Pedro after the attack. Johnson, who recovered from his injuries, is also now working at a different prison.

Kurbanov, an Uzbek national, was convicted of one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a terrorist organization, one count of attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization and one count of possession of an unregistered destructive device in November 2015.

Prosecutors in that case outlined how Kurbanov communicated online with members of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, promising to send money and supplies, and expressing interest in carrying out an attack in the United States.

Kurbanov told FBI informants that he was considering Ann Morrison Park or Mountain Home Air Force Base as possible attack sites. Although he did not carry out any attack before his arrest, Kurbanov had stockpiled explosive ingredients including including fertilizer, Tannerite, ammonium nitrate, acetone and aluminum powder in his Curtis Road apartment before his arrest.

Typical! no mention of the ‘R’ word! REFUGEE!
Interesting! The Daily Mail has a story on Kurbanov and mentions that he considered attacking West Point as well.
There is something very fishy about the admission of Uzbeks during the Bush and early Obama years, wish we knew the full story.

Readers: Let me know if the latest on this charming refugee (who will be costing us a fortune to keep in prison for life!) makes it to any national news story or any cable news outlet!

Rich refugee contractor begins 'diversity is beautiful' propaganda campaign in Idaho

One of the nine federal refugee resettlement contractors*** won’t feel as much financial pain as the smaller ones during Trump’s upcoming refugee slowdown.  That contractor is the International Rescue Committee that seems to be hellbent on changing the American West—they are well-established in Idaho and only last year opened their first office in Montana.

miliband-and-soros-3
IRC CEO David Miliband with the winner of the IRC’s Freedom Award—George Soros. Big money up against just regular folks in Idaho.

So, it appears they will use the slowdown to begin to get your minds right about refugees and the wonderful diversity they will bring to conservative states.  They are going to reach the college kids first.
Before you read on, go here where I told you how much money the IRC banks each year—a large chunk comes from you via your tax dollars—but you can bet that former British Foreign Secretary (still a British national),  its CEO, is bringing in gobs of money from globalists like George Soros.
This is the first time, I’m seeing a propaganda launch like this one from a refugee contractor which has apparently set up a separate media campaign.

Here is The Arbiter:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is introducing a new campaign, One Home Idaho, to celebrate Idaho’s diverse population and promote awareness of different social groups living within the state.

Expected to last four months throughout the Summer of 2017, the One Home Idaho campaign is an awareness movement started by the IRC intended to bring recognition to the beauty and cultural diversity refugees can offer.

fazliddin-kurbanov74
Will they be mentioning the case of Uzbek refugee Fazliddin Kurbanov in their media campaign? Convicted in Boise in 2015 on terror charges. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2015/08/14/idaho-uzbek-refugee-convicted-of-terrorism-conspiracy-charge-in-us/

The campaign comes soon after the recent executive order regarding immigration that left a percentage of the American population contemplating the implications of the global refugee crisis.

A recent teach-in held by Boise State hosted panel members from refugee resettlement agencies, who spoke on the gravity of the situation and shed light on the presence of refugees in Idaho.

[….]

The One Home Idaho campaign aims to foster this kind of relationship between native Boiseans and resettled refugees by promoting their cause through their website, social media platforms, billboards and potential airtime on TV networks.

Did UPS plane(s) secretively bring "refugees" to America from the Middle East?

I don’t know! (Sorry if you were expecting a definitive answer!)
The rumor has been going around for months (surely you’ve seen it).
My first reaction is to dismiss the story because it would require so many people in-the-know and I can’t believe that they would all stay silent for so long.  Or, since everyone has a camera, did no one take a picture of the “refugees” being loaded on to buses and moved to some undisclosed locations?  And, are there no resettlement agency personnel with a conscience dropping hints?
What about those Uzbeks?
That said, there is pretty good circumstantial evidence that the US Refugee Admissions Program has been used to secretively bring people into the country where the US State Department wants to ‘help’ some world leader with a ‘problem’ group of people.

Fazliddin Kurbanov
Uzbek refugee Fazliddin Kurbanov convicted of Islamic terror charges in Idaho. Did we bring trouble-making Uzbek Muslims to the US in a special arrangement with the government of Uzbekistan in the Bush Administration?

I’m talking about the alleged airlift of Uzbeks in a joint effort between the CIA and the US State Department during the Bush Administration following the 2005 uprising of more ‘devout’ Muslims against their own Muslim government in Uzbekistan.
Learn more about the Andijan uprising here at Wikipedia.  And, see here where we mentioned the rumors about an airlift of Uzbeks to the US.  By the way, about 96% of the population of Uzbekistan is Muslim.
Checking the State Department data base I see we admitted 2,848 Uzbeks since 2002.  And, although we brought “refugees” from many religious groups, Muslims were the single greatest number and in 2006 (after the uprising) we saw the largest number of Uzbek “refugees” of any year since 2002 arrive in the US—480—and the vast majority were Muslims that year.
See our archive on Uzbekistan here and note the relatively high number of Uzbeks arrested on terror charges over the years.
I’m reporting the Uzbek persistent mystery because I believe there is something to the story, and it suggests that maybe it is possible to bring “refugees” into the US outside of the normal process.  So I can’t say it couldn’t ever happen!

Now back to that UPS plane story…..
A readers sent this youtube clip (over a half a million views) which suggests there may be something to the rumors flying around now, but it in no way gives us any hard evidence.  (30 busloads of people from one plane?)
Perhaps the most useful bit of the clip shows NJ Governor Chris Christie telling Bill O’Reilly that he has/had no idea that non-profit groups like Catholic Charities have been dropping refugees in NJ for years.  It also shows how ignorant O’Reilly is about the resettlement process that is over 35 years old!  Where the h*** have they all been?

I’ve heard from some of you asking for some confirmation about this story.  I can’t give it to you, but I urge all of you to send me links (either confirming it or debunking it) to more on this story through the comment thread here.
Update Feb. 9th:  See this link a reader sent:  http://beforeitsnews.com/politics/2015/12/confirmed-obama-smuggling-in-up-to-100000-refugees-per-year-on-ups-planes-2767590.html
And, for goodness sake, if you see something fishy where you live, take photos!
Until further notice, this post is filed in our ‘rumors’ category.
