No sympathy for the contractor crybabies!

Update August 2: Crying in Chicago too—-they want a bigger pie from Congress!  If they don’t get it—staff will be cut at ‘non-profit’ refugee agencies!

I have no sympathy for the federal refugee resettlement contractors (nor any time today to address this article in the Washington Post).  These quasi-government agencies*** some pretending to be motivated by Christian and Jewish charity are now running out of your cash for their good works!

Boo hoo! They say, they may have to lay off employees, provide fewer “services,” close offices and bring fewer refugees to the US in the closing two months of fiscal year 2014 because the illegal alien children crisis is devouring all of their (your) money.

Why no sympathy?  Because all of these federal contractors have been lobbying for AMNESTY and the so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill the Senate passed (we followed their lobbying extensively here) that is part of the lure now to the illegal alien children expecting an amnesty!

They should have all thought about legitimate refugees before they went to bed with Obama and the Gang of Eight.

From the Washington Post (hat tip: Brad):

Refugee advocates have launched a frantic campaign to urge Congress to approve President Obama’s request for $3.7 billion in emergency supplemental funding to deal with the thousands of Central American children pouring into the country, because current policy risks pitting those children against existing refugees in a scrap for federal assistance.

In a move noticed by few outside refugee circles, the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement in June notified Congress it was shifting $94 million from refugee services programs to those dealing with the emergency on the border. The administration’s request for emergency funding includes $1.8 billion for HHS, which would replenish the refugee funds.

Read it all.  There is a lot of boo-hooing from the religious Leftwingers at Church World Service (these are the ‘crop walk’ people you may see in your communities) which has the distinction of being the catalyst for the creation of this blog!

Sheesh, I had no idea they were into the Palestinian activist network as well! http://actpalestineforum.org/about/members/church-world-service-cws/

If the contractors had done what they were supposed to do over the years (and what Congress originally promised!)—raise private funds!—they might not be in this mess!

Dover, NH Congolese resettlement update; did agency get ahead of itself?

We reported the other day that a public meeting to discuss the possibility of Dover, NH, and surrounding towns, becoming new refugee resettlement sites had been called off.  (Such public meetings are rare! So, we were not surprised that once the word got out it was cancelled.)

BTW, the news from New Hampshire was our top post of the entire week.

Executive Director of ORIS, former Somali refugee, Mukhtar Idhow, confronted with legitimate questions, says they are no longer interested in the Tri-City area.

Here is a longer article from Foster’s Daily Democrat with more details of the abrupt cancellation with a declaration by ORIS (the non-profit resettlement agency wannabe) that Dover (the Tri-city area) was no longer under consideration due to “lack of support.”

There is much to digest in this revealing story, please read it.  The Mayors expect a lot of good questions to be answered!  But, clearly ORIS can’t or won’t answer them.

One thing that jumped out at me was ORIS’s statement that they weren’t yet a resettlement agency, but seemed to be out scouting locations nonetheless.  I’m wondering now, do the feds require fledgling would-be resettlement contractors (that is where the federal bucks are!) to demonstrate that they have scouted-out “welcoming” communities?

Foster’s Daily Democrat:

DOVER — Information has been lost in translation between local city officials and directors of the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success, a group who has canceled a presentation planned for Aug. 13 due to perceived backlash from the Tri-City area.

Executive Director of ORIS Mukhtar Idhow said there is no longer interest in helping refugees resettle in the area after reading an article printed Saturday in Foster’s Daily Democrat with the headline, “Congolese refugees to resettle in region: Mayor says cities have no say in the matter.”

[….]

Though ORIS officials say they are not a resettlement agency and that there are many steps to be taken to gain that status through the federal government and learn answers to those questions, the purpose of meeting with Dover was to see how receptive the community would be if in the future they became one, Idhow said.

“This was a preliminary conversation with city officials,” Idhow said. “We are not interested now in moving forward with this process.  [Of course not!  They can’t or won’t answer questions about the economic and social impact that large numbers of refugees have on resettlement towns and cities.—ed]

This article was published on Tuesday and I expect there is more up-to-date news which I hope to get to over the weekend.

Friday round-up: July 2014 best month ever for RRW!

Refugee Resettlement Watch was launched in July 2007 (see ‘about’ if you have never read it) and this July we recorded our best month in all of those seven years as the issue of phony refugees (unaccompanied alien children) has galvanized the public’s attention on the whole refugee program of the US government.

There is a silver lining in the recent border crisis!  Finally lots of researchers and writers (and a few real reporters!) are digging into the finances and the political goals of the “charitable organizations” driving the open borders movement.  More researchers and more bloggers are needed, however!

Our readership increased by almost 100% since May.

If you haven’t noticed our daily Top Posts in the right hand sidebar, the top three with the most readers, for this week, are:

Will the federal government resettle hundreds of Congolese refugees in Dover, NH?

And apologies to all who e-mail and comment, sorry if I don’t respond much, there are just not enough hours in my day!

It occurs to me that I do see everyone’s comments to posts because we do screen them (no foul language, no threats), so if you have something you want me to see, I don’t at all mind if you send the link as a comment to a post, even if it’s a little off-topic.

P.S. to critics:  This is a charitable enterprise on my part, let’s just call it an ‘act of love’ to spend hours every day informing average taxpaying American citizens about the migrant tide (much of it LEGAL) flooding our towns and cities through a morass of government programs dressed up to look like ‘religious charity.’

Bottom line! You have a right to know what they plan for your community!

Obama’s road to hell (for the world!) created by Catholic Bishops

That is roughly the title of an article earlier this week at the Canada Free Press by Judi McLeod (hat tip: Jim)

Saul Alinsky over Obama’s shoulder. We are bringing down America! Canada Free Press.

The Catholic Church—through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration—both paved the road for Barack Hussein Obama’s ultimate takeover of Free West society and continues to actively enable the Fundamental Transformation of America by sinking the US in a tsunami of illegal aliens.

In coming to Obama’s aid in erasing forever America’s borders, the bishops sold the USA out, including its Catholics, for the proverbial 30 pieces of silver.

In biblical terms, Obama and the Catholic bishops—who both birthed his progress to the seat of power and back him on his Fundamental Transformation mission—are in in league with the devil. The certain-to-come protestations of the bishops should fall on the same deaf ears they use to shun all pleas of mercy from Americans overwhelmed by invaders in their home towns and cities.

How dare these phony paragons of the pulpit ascribe to our Savior the manufactured invasion of America by millions of U.S. government made-to-order ‘refugees’?

It’s a crock that the bishops are saving illegal aliens rushing the U.S. border based on lofty claims of altruism or charity, when they are doing it for power and filthy lucre…..

[….]

Who ever would have thought that the road to America’s destruction would be made a grim possibility through a host of Catholic priests and bishops?

Read all of it!   McLeod apparently doesn’t know all of it—how much money is really going directly to the Bishops for “migration” from the federal government, 98% here but she has enough.

Then Jim also directed us to Ann Barnhardt here with the Bernardin-Alinsky-Obama Nexus which springboards off the McLeod piece and reiterates the history of the Catholic Churches’ involvement with Alinsky and ultimately Obama something we had written about here (among several posts) in 2009  when we were doing a lot of reading and research on Alinsky and his teachings and how he influenced Obama.

Our “community destabilization” category is so-named as a direct response to what the anti-borders Leftists were (and still are) up to with the mass importation of impoverished people.  Throw in the Cloward-Piven strategy and the blueprint that Obama is following is all there.

Simply put, Socialists (Communists?) Cloward and Piven said in order to bring on the revolution and bring down the government, one must flood the system (bring chaos—Alinsky) with impoverished people causing the welfare system to crash and as a result a new order (new form of government) would come of it.  My theory is that they were running out of poor Americans so they are bringing in the third-worlders.  That is all good for them since a borderless world is nirvana to the schemers.

Every time you see some establishment Republican say Obama isn’t doing anything, you can bet he and Valerie ‘Rasputin’ Jarrett are laughing their heads off as they jet from fund raiser to fund raiser.

(Jarrett said that Obamacare and Immigration would be Obama’s greatest achievements!)
