John McCain: Move Iranian dissidents from Iraq to the US

Just for your information…..

John McCain: They can live with me. I have some extra homes to share! (Not)

From the National Council of Resistance of Iran:

U.S. Senator John McCain sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday to raise concerns about Iranian opposition members in Camp Liberty, Iraq, whose lives are increasingly at risk as the security situation in Iraq, particularly in Baghdad, continues to deteriorate.

The letter published in Senator McCain website states:

“I am writing you to follow-up on the response I received in August to my previous letter concerning the ongoing refugee resettlement process and to discuss my continuing concerns about the residents of Camp Liberty,” writes Senator John McCain.

“As you are aware, due to the increasingly dangerous threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the resettlement process has stalled, and many fear that the people at Camp Liberty could be at grave risk if the security situation in Iraq, and especially in Baghdad, continues to deteriorate.

“For this reason, the Administration must move more quickly to find safe, permanent, and secure locations for Camp Liberty residents outside Iraq. I was encouraged to hear about Albania’s willingness to temporarily host some Camp Liberty residents for purposes of identifying individuals for relocation to the United States.

Although we might have sympathy for the dissidents’ plight, is it our job to take in the squabbling factions from the Middle East?  Just asking!

McCain’s press release is here.

And, by the way, where is Obama pal Samantha Power and her doctrine—the Responsibility to Protect?  And, come to think of it, why can’t the UN protect them?

Holy smokes! Indiana DEMOCRATIC Congressional candidate: No Syrian refugees for Indiana; take care of our people first!

I think we are seeing a major trend developing where it seems that Democrats are more willing to say NO! to refugees while some Republicans fear mentioning the word, or as in the case of Grover Norquist and his Republican pals are actually pushing for more refugees in America!

Democratic candidate Justin Kuhnle: Take care of our people first! Photo: http://teapartycheer.com/bios/midwest/indiana/justin-kuhnle-in-bio/

Just yesterday we posted the World Net Daily story about mayors across the country questioning refugee resettlement and most of the mayors with guts are Democrats also, go figure!

From the News-Sentinel reporting on a Congressional candidate debate for the 3rd District of Indiana:

In a follow-up question [about Syria—ed] Kuhnle was asked, given northeast Indiana’s welcome of refugees in the past, should we welcome Syrian refugees here as well.

Kuhnle, who has some background in social work gave a surprising answer for a Democratic candidate.

“I would be hard pressed to accept that.” he said, adding “When we look at the needs of what northern Indiana has it can’t continue that open door policy. We must look to the need of our own citizens first.

Kuhnle suggested it would be better to help them, in Syria.

This Congressional district in Indiana includes Ft. Wayne so that helps explain the answer.  We have an extensive archive on Ft. Wayne going back for seven years—the US State Department and its contractors have swamped the city with needy Burmese refugees.

Remember the 2010 spitting and urinating in the laundromat brouhaha.  People remember stuff like that!

What do you bet Kuhnle gets a visit from “Welcoming America” for a little mind-readjustment!

Congolese refugee women in America need costly mental health care; 50,000 in the pipeline!

Coming to a town near you! Photo: http://www.humanosphere.org/world-politics/2013/02/mixed-reactions-to-the-dr-congo-peace-deal/

Your tax dollars:

We told you here in June of 2013 that the US was aiming to resettle 50,000 Congolese (DR Congo) refugees over the next few years and the US State Department has been busy, busy, busy getting the flow started.  Indeed this article tells us something we didn’t know—they want to get the 50,000 here by 2019!

If you visit the statistics at the Refugee Processing Center (US State Department) you will see that at the close of Fiscal year 2014 on September 30th, we resettled 4,540 from the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the year (Don’t look at the map where someone has left out DR Congo! or case numbers, look at individuals numbers listed for DR Congo in chart below map).

Apparently enough of them are here to begin studying their needs, in this case, their need for costly mental health treatment (also needed by the Bhutanese).  The report (partially funded by the UN) suggests “leveraging local resources.”  Of course that means the feds aren’t going to pay for it—state and local taxpayers will!  Wyoming are you listening!

Anne Richard, US State Department and Antonio Guterres head of UNHCR. The UN is calling the shots on Congolese resettlement to America. Richard to Socialist Guterres: Jump? How high?

From the University of Texas:

AUSTIN, Texas — The U.S. government must do more to address the needs of Congolese refugee “women at risk” through trauma-related services and social support, according to a report by the Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (IDVSA) at The University of Texas at Austin and the Department of Sociology & Social Work at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

The report issued recommendations for the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, which is responsible for resettling 50,000 Congolese refugees in the United States by 2019. The recommendations are based on a study of refugee women from the Democratic Republic of Congo who have resettled in the United States after decades of unrest in their homeland.

“The women who participated in our study experienced multiple traumas and hardship,” said Noël Busch-Armendariz, lead author of the report and director of IDVSA in The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work. “This study provides empirical evidence to inform the tremendous efforts already underway to meet the needs of Congolese female refugees.”

Although the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program emphasizes economic integration through job placement, the report finds that many refugee women had unmet needs for trauma-related services, social support and longer-time financial support, said IDVSA researcher and project director Karin Wachter. The study was partially funded by a $15,000 grant from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).  [So the UN is basically telling Americans to spend more money on this problem they created for us!—ed]

Leveraging and long-term service = your money!

Access to long-term services to address trauma and loss is essential for this population,” said Maura B. Nsonwu, the lead researcher from North Carolina A&T. “The U.S. Refugee Admissions Program could leverage local resources for these services, such as domestic violence and sexual assault centers in cities who receive Congolese refugees.”

So what does the US get out of this arrangement when mentally-impaired single mothers raise large numbers of children in your town?

Obama’s illegal alien “Dreamers” (cheaters!) are voting

Obama and Valerie meeting with “Dreamers” in the White House. Get out there and vote! http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2013/05/21/aspiring-americans-share-their-stories-congress-debates-immigration-reform

And, you can be sure that many LEGAL refugees, diversity visa lottery winners and temporary protected status holders among other “legal” immigrants are voting too.

The legal refugees and others have to wait five years before seeking citizenship, but you can be sure that anyone who barely speaks English (Somalis for example) who show up at the polls are not yet US citizens.

Get that drivers license and voting rights are assured.   Rarely do states follow-up and check the status of those who checked the YES box to the citizenship question when applying for a drivers license.

But, here in a story from Breitbart (hat tip: Julia) we see that someone is checking in North Carolina:

With the North Carolina U.S. Senate race in a dead heta, state election officials say they have discovered 145 names on the voting rolls who are ineligible to vote because they are illegal immigrants who have been granted President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status.

According to a Winston-Salem Journal report, the State Board of Elections discovered the potential illegal voters Tuesday night when the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles ran a search for DACA licenses. The 145 DACA recipients whose names appear on the SBOE’s voting rolls will be sent letters requesting documentation that they are citizens, the report noted.

DACA beneficiaries in North Carolina are able to obtain drivers licenses, but they are not able to vote.

The Journal notes that it is likely more ineligible people may still remain on the voting rolls.

Nearly 10,000 names on the rolls are tagged by the DMV as “legally present,” according to elections and transportation officials. But that doesn’t mean that all 10,000 are ineligible to vote at this time. These are license holders who were not U.S. citizens when they got a license. They may have been green-card holders, foreign workers or foreign students, for example.

Most have become U.S. citizens since getting a license, according to an estimate by elections officials based on a sample of the overall list.

According to the report, earlier this month the SBOE officials did a sample cross-check of 1,600 of the 10,000 “legally present” names against a Department of Homeland Security database and found that 94 percent were U.S. citizens and eligible to vote. However, that still meant that six percent were ineligible, meaning if the ratio held for the whole 10,000, 600 people would be ineligible.

Mike Charbonneau, a DMV spokesman, told the Journal that it is now cross checking all the names.

Good for you North Carolina!  Every state should be vigorously pursuing the cheaters!

World Net Daily does it again! Detailed report on American mayors objecting to refugee resettlement for their cities

Reporter Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily again shows his skill at pulling together threads of a complicated and very secretive program of the federal government—the US State Department’s and the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s (in HHS) program (at the UN’s direction) to demographically change your towns and cities.   Nashua, NH take note!

Update!  All of you in cities with refugee resettlement should send the WND story to your mayors and mayoral candidates.

Here is how his latest detailed report from yesterday on a revolt of mayors across the country begins (he spoke with the mayor of Athens, Georgia):

The mayor of Athens, Georgia, has joined a growing chorus of mayors across the U.S. who are concerned about the federal government’s resettlement of foreign refugees in their cities and the resulting drain on public services.

Athens GA mayor Nancy Denson: we want a detailed plan on how refugees would integrate.

The refugees come from war-torn countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East and require a plethora of government services to help them overcome language and cultural barriers. They have little or no job skills that translate into trades in a modern economy such as the U.S.

Athens has been targeted as the latest refugee city of destination by New York City-based International Rescue Committee Inc., which provides resettlement services for the federal government on a contract basis. IRC wants to transplant 150 refugees who are fleeing Iraq, Syria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burma.

Athens Mayor Nancy Denson recently sent a letter asking the IRC to delay the resettlement until it can put together a “formal refugee integration plan.”

Once the IRC gets approval to open an office in Athens, the pipeline of refugees would continue on an annual basis. That’s why Denson said the community must know ahead of time if it is able to accommodate the needs of the refugees for housing, schooling, public health and welfare services.

Denson, a Democrat, has the support of Republican Gov. Nathan Deal in her effort to forestall the opening of an IRC resettlement office in Athens. International Rescue Committee is the largest and oldest of the nine private agencies that contract with the federal government to resettle foreign refugees in U.S. cities.

It is long but read it all.  It is chock-full of information not just about Athens, but about many other cities (pockets of resistance) as well.
