German Jewish group says migration of Muslims into Germany must be "limited"

Invasion of Europe news…..

So, I guess we are seeing the limits of some Jewish leaders in Europe as an Austrian Jewish group has also called for a halt to the Muslim migration which shows no sign of slowing down.

Rebuke from German NO Borders Leftwing activist Guenther Burkhardt (Pro-Asyl). Complains that the Jews are joining the rightwing.

Gee, I sure wish they could persuade the Jewish US resettlement contractor, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, that the majority of Muslims don’t like you (in fact they hate you!).  Sheer insanity…..
HIAS is pushing for 100,000 mostly Muslim Syrians to be resettled in the US.
From AFP at Yahoo.news:

Berlin (AFP) – The Central Council of Jews in Germany called Monday for a limit to the migrant influx because of problems with integrating the mainly Muslim newcomers, earning a quick rebuke from a pro-refugee charity.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government has opened the doors to asylum seekers fleeing conflict in Syria, and arrivals from the war-torn country and other trouble spots are expected to reach one million this year.

“Sooner or later we won’t have a choice but to set an upper limit,” the council’s president Josef Schuster told Die Welt daily.

“Many of the refugees are fleeing the terror of the Islamic State and want to live in peace and freedom, but at the same time they come from cultures where hatred of Jews and intolerance are an integral part.

But German non-government group Pro Asyl criticised Schuster’s comments, saying it was unfortunate the Jewish group was sharing the same position as the conservative Bavarian CSU party.

Photo:  We have written about Burkhardt before, here in 2014, when he was working to silence “right-wing propaganda” long before the migration became a full-fledged invasion.   Readers, that post was over 18 months ago demonstrating that German leaders knew long ago what the results of their “welcoming” posture would be to the third-world.  They had plenty of time to stop it if they had any guts and the will to do it.

Canada: Military thrown out of barracks to make room for Syrian refugees

The new hard Left Canadian government is hell-bent on bringing in 25,000 Syrians in a little over a month.  Apparently unable to find housing for them, they will be housed in military barracks across Canada.
From CTV News:

Canadian military moving out of barracks so Syrians can move in!

Soldiers and military personnel at a Kingston, Ont. base are being asked to clear their barracks to make room for an early wave of Syrian refugees arriving in just over a week, CTV News has learned.

Multiple residences at CFB Kingston are being cleared for Nov. 30 to house the refugees, according to an internal memo obtained by CTV News.

The orders will also affect some officer cadets attending the Royal Military College, many of whom are nearing exams.

Where will the military be resettled? CTV News continues….

When boys run countries….

And while the memo warns of the fast-approaching deadline, it does not indicate where military personnel will be resettled.

However, it does say a place will be found for the personnel.

The notice comes just two days after Minister of Immigration and Refugees John McCallum reaffirmed the government’s plan to resettle 25,000 Syrian refugees by the end of 2015.

There is more, read it all!  The story mentions “health” concerns, so it appears they are a little worried about containing some potentially contagious diseases.  Lucky Canadian citizens!
Note in the story that the UN is picking their refugees, so the vast majority will be Sunni Muslims.

Maine governor working to stem the flow of welfare to migrants/asylum seekers

We have written about this Maine problem with the flood of migrants into the state—some are resettled refugees, but others are asylum seekers who have flocked there to enjoy the generosity of Maine’s social service programs while waiting out the legal asylum process.  (See my discussion of asylum in an earlier post this morning.)
Here is the latest news, from LifeZette (subheading:  Immigrants immediately eligible for welfare, displacing seniors and the needy):

Maine’s Somali community is adding more diversity to the state — and huge new costs, according to a top state official.

Mayhew
Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew was on the Laura Ingraham show. Flood of migrants impacting Maine elderly.

Maine’s huge number of refugees and asylum-seekers are heavy welfare users and are putting significant economic strain on the state, Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew.

Speaking on “The Laura Ingraham Show,” Mayhew rejected an argument by a local media outlet that the state’s Somali community could be Maine’s savior.

“Overall, we have seen an increased burden to the infrastructure and the welfare programs in the face of other significant competing priorities for this state, especially related to our rapidly aging population, our elderly,” she said.

Maine has been a popular destination for refugees in recent years, mostly from Somalia and other African countries. Lewiston and Portland have taken the most, with Lewiston’s mayor recently speaking out about the fiscal impact on his city.

[….]

Maine Gov. Paul LePage has led a drive to reform social welfare programs for refugees and citizens alike. Since taking office, food stamp use is down by 58,000 people. Fewer people are on Medicaid, as well, Mayhew said.

Here is a great idea for your state!

Mayhew noted that a new work requirement for food stamps for able-bodied people between the ages of 18 and 49 with no children — which included an option of volunteering just one hour a day — knocked many off the program for failure to comply.

[….]

Mayhew said LePage has fought against granting welfare benefits to illegal immigrants who have applied for asylum.

More here.
Is your state giving welfare benefits to asylum seekers?  At the federal level that is prohibited.
We have a huge archive on Maine, click here to learn more.  See especially a 2009 post we wrote about how Somalis initially found Maine’s generous welfare system and headed in droves to Lewiston.

Agenda 2030: UN sets goal for sustainable development, has 15 years to get it done

This is something I want you to be aware of, and perhaps encourage one of you to delve deeper into—the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”—which has recently added migration to its core mission.
I think that stalling refugee resettlement to America may stall their global agenda, wouldn’t you agree?

Amina1-web-master675
“Ms. [Amina] Mohammed, 54, has served as the top United Nations diplomat responsible for corralling countries to commit to a spectacularly ambitious set of global development goals, meant to save the planet and its most vulnerable people. Known as the Sustainable Development Goals, or Agenda 2030 after the deadline for meeting them…” http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/26/world/africa/un-adopts-ambitious-global-goals-after-years-of-negotiations.html?_r=0
This is all I know, the subject popped up in a tweet today so I followed the threads to this news from the International Organization for Migration which is the US federal contractor that prepares refugees for their move to America.

On 25 September 2015, world leaders made history by adopting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in New York. This wide-ranging and ambitious agenda, which includes the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), marks the culmination of over two-years of negotiation and broad, inclusive consultations with stakeholders from across the world.  [I bet there was no taxpayer rights group among the “stakeholders.”—ed]

For the first time, the issue of migration has been included in the global development framework, representing a marked shift from the Millennium Development Goals and a timely recognition of the diverse interlinkages between migration and development.

It is now up to the international community as a whole to ensure that we achieve these global goals over the next fifteen years, making the world a better place for all, including migrants.

We know that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees is picking most US-bound refugees.  By slowing third world migration to the US, you are helping to slow the United Nations’ goals for us!  That is enough incentive for me!
If you are up to doing some research, I’d be happy to post what you find!

Senator Rand Paul cites KY refugee terrorists/Boston bombers on radio talk show, angers Left

I’m glad to see 2016 Presidential candidate and US Senator Rand Paul annoying the Left as Mediaite reports here.
See our post yesterday where we pointed out that a couple of years ago Paul was an outspoken critic of the program, then had gone underground on the topic.  I guess he is back and his comments about welfare are important.

The Kentucky Iraqi terrorists were “vetted” refugees, but watch for the NO Borders crowd to say that the Tsarnaev (Boston Bomber) brothers were not “refugees.”

Before I get to the news I want to reiterate that those who enter the US either legally or illegally, request asylum, and then are granted political asylum (become asylees) are just as much refugees as those we fly in.  Our present asylum process is also a result of the Refugee Act of 1980 and once someone is granted political asylum they are eligible for all the perks of those we have flown in.  They can also seek out the ‘services’ of the nine major federal resettlement contractors.

asylum graph
This is from the Leftwing Migration Policy Institute, but I urge you to see the report on Refugees and Asylees. This graph shows that in 2013 over 25,000 were granted political refugee status after getting in here in some other way. They came in without screening! http://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/refugees-and-asylees-united-states

But, as the issue continues to cause controversy, the Leftwing agitators will continue to try to cause confusion in the public mind.
Here is Mediaite on Paul (emphasis is mine):

The Republican presidential candidate said the refugee screening process is “absolutely not” rigorous enough to allow migrants into the United States. “The fact that we had two Iraqi refugees posing as refugees come into our country and want to attack us with stinger missiles shows that it wasn’t, and I don’t believe still is, very rigorous,” he said.

“The Boston bombers came here as refugees,” Paul noted. “We coddled them, we gave them free stuff, we gave them free housing, and yet, they decided to attack us, so there’s a great risk.”

Despite accusations that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev moved to the United States through the refugee program, the family never applied for refugee status to gain entry into the country. Instead, their family arrived on a six-month visa and applied for political asylum once they were in the United States. [You see how the Left spins this, they are just as much refugees as those we have flown in—ed]

“It’s a mistake for the Obama administration to downplay the risk,” Paul said, adding he fought the Obama administration “all week in the Senate and I promise you this battle’s not over.”

Last week, Paul introduced a bill to put a moratorium on U.S. visas for refugees; in a speech to congress, the Kentucky senator argued, “…when the poem beneath the Statue of Liberty says ‘give me your tired, give me your poor,’ it didn’t say come to our country and we’ll put you on welfare.

By the way, when you hear someone say we only bring in 70,000 (soon to be 85,000) refugees, please remember that we also grant asylum to approximately 25,000 more each year, then we admit 50,000 (probably not screened!) in through the absolutely insane ‘Diversity Visa Lottery.’   Hundreds of thousands are here in the ‘Temporary Protected Status’ category, and thousands more through other smaller legal programs, not to mention tens of thousands of unaccompanied alien children.
So, I guess I am saying don’t focus exclusively on the 10,000 Syrians, there is much more danger and expense throughout the system.
